    Monty Cristo and fried mushrooms

FYI they lock the doors 20-30 before closing time. We ordered the Chili, fried mushrooms, Monty Cristo and everything omelette. Everything was good, there are so many things on this menu that we want to try. What drew me here was that they have home fries, they are so good! The service was great. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. We will be coming back again.

I was staying at a hotel whose "breakfast" consisted of a bunch of bread products, so I decided to go out for a real breakfast. I looked at the Yelp app and Jenny's got good reviews, so I decided to try it -- especially because I love little diners. I went there late on a Tuesday morning, and all the regular tables were taken. The counter had some space, but I don't like sitting there, so I waited. I did find it a little disconcerting that nobody greeted me (or subsequent customers) on arrival; I actually felt kind of ignored and considered leaving. But, I figured it would take a while to find somewhere else, so I stayed. And while I was waiting, I struck up conversations with some of the other customers, which was pleasant. When I was finally seated, I needed a little time to look at the menu. The service was a little slow, and I continued to feel somewhat ignored. I orderd the junior diner bowl, which had a biscuit, gravy, egg, potato & cheese, all in a bowl. I usually prefer those things on the plate separately, but this was actually really good, and I ate all of it. It was also reasonably priced, which was nice.

Food and service are great! You may have to wait but if you are looking for a good mom & pop breakfast this is it. Can't go wrong with their potatoes or hash browns, extra crispy is where it's at!

Food was great! Pork chops mashed potatoes, gravy, for the wife. Potatoes souo, roast beef hash for me

Phenomenal from start to finish!! We got there and there was a short wait--no waitlist, this place operates on an honor system and so it felt like a classic diner right away. We talked to some regulars and they raved about it so we knew we'd be in for a treat. Jenny, the owner, took our order and was as sweet as can be. We got the country fried steak and Reuben omelette. The home fries are crispy smashed potatoes and rivaled the hash browns--would recommend getting one each to share! The country fried steak was perfect. It's going to be so hard to get something else in the future knowing how great that was! My sister asked for extra sauerkraut in her omelette and would highly recommend ordering that way. No notes. We can't wait to come back and be regulars ourselves!

Jenny's was good. It felt the exact same as George's though. The food was hot and quick. The service was meh. They're definitely packed on the weekend and the waitresses are focused on switching tables, not being chatty or friendly. The way tables are given NEEDS to be fixed. It's first come first serve, with a waiting area that fits maybe 6 people. It's up to the customers to know who was there before them, who's next, etc. That works fine on a quiet morning, but not when it's Sunday at 11am and there's 18 people waiting... The food was good but nothing to write home about. I'll come back if I'm around the area.

Cute diner... this is the menu

Stopped here at 1pm a few weeks ago. The delay in the review was I have been trying to figure out how to word my review. Here it goes: The place was busy. At arrival there were three spots open. One booth in the back. One at the counter. A third was the very first booth. They sat the people in front of us in the back booth. That made sense. We were asked if we wanted a counter seat but the person I was with was handicapped and over 80; sitting on a stool with her having full blown Parkinson's we didn't feel comfortable doing. For some reason they didn't clean the front booth nor were we ever offered it. We waited and waited. Waited some more. Nothing. It was like we were punished for not taking the counter. Lol. After waiting ten minutes we left and went to another nearby spot. Sorry Jenny's. The food: since we left we didnt dine here that day, but during previous dining experiences, we found food here very good. Typical diner style. Nothing incredibly healthy but all items we have had previously have been very tasty. Not sure why the one booth wasn't bussed nor offered to us- after a ten minute wait it left a bad taste in our mouth. Not sure when we will return due to the bad service of whom ever was in charge of seating customers. Hoping it was just a bad day. Its a cute place.

Came here as a walk in with my husband on a Saturday for breakfast. There was a pretty significant line, but it was well worth the wait! Love the ambience and decor of the restaurant. I got the big breakfast plate which gave me a little bit of everything to try. It was absolutely awesome and would highly recommend.

My friend loves going to diners and suggested this spot since they're new. They have a tiny parking lot but you can find lots of street parking. They were slammed! We waited less than 2 minutes for a table though. But there were constantly people waiting to get seated. Service is quick and staff are pretty attentive. We both got their hot coffee to start. Nothing special but just wanted some caffeine. For food, I got corned beef hash while my friend ordered French toast and added blueberries on top with a side of eggs and sausage. Delicious! Very filling and prices aren't bad at all. Their menu had quite a lot of options, which was impressive! I'm not at diners often but it's nice to see places like this around.

Jenny's Diner is everything you want in a neighborhood breakfast spot: Amazing staff, delicious food, fast service and convenient location. Don't be intimidated if you see people waiting for a table when you stop in, the line moves fast. We've never waited more than 15 minutes for a table. Their chef is so fast and he gets food on the table soon after you order. This keeps the tables moving and the line short. My go to is the spinach scramble with home fries. But sometimes I mix it up - and on these days- my other fave is the Chilaquiles. Trust me on this- this the best Chilaquiles in town. Jenny's green sauce and refried beans are to die for. My hubby's go to varies- but he's been loving the country fried steak with sausage gravy lately. Oh and if they have a pumpkin pancake on the menu- GET IT. We stop in for breakfast most Saturday mornings and always look forward to seeing who is there. So many of us are regulars that it feels like a family and we are visiting Jenny's house for breakfast. Go to Jenny's and be a regular with us!

Jenny's Diner is one of my favorites in town. It is a neighborhood joint and is always packed. We suggest coming early or after the morning rush. I've tried everything here. I don't have a favorite but the potatoes always hit the spot!

Delicious and reasonable prices on the menu. There's lots of options from egg to burgers! The parking lot is behind the building with limited spaces but there's street parking. Hubby and I sat at the counter and had the "diner " experience! Service was excellent and friendly! I ordered the breakfast bowl( small) which came with egg, biscuit, sausage gravy and shredded cheese on top. Definitely will be back!

This was my first time visiting Jenny's Diner. For fellow first time visitors, parking is very limited in their lot, but street parking is available on Beechwold. The diner is first come, first serve. There are booth and counter seats. Despite being a new place they recreated a traditional diner feel. My friend and I were seated at two counter seats after a 15 minute wait. Our server was friendly and provided quick service. I opted for the Jiffy Cakes since cornmeal pancakes are one of my favorite breakfast items. I also opted for over easy eggs. Both items tasted great. The pancakes were especially good. Prices at the restaurant were reasonable. Overall I enjoyed my visit. A few other menu items caught my eye, so I will need to make more visits in the future.

The galaxy-themed decor is such a vibe -- very 70s retro with bright colors, laid-back energy, and a fun but casual feel. My daughter ordered the egg and cheese sandwich, and I love that it comes with avocado. We shared the Big Ol' Pancake, and since the kids couldn't decide on a flavor, our waiter suggested fresh blueberries and chocolate chips on the side so everyone was happy. That kind of flexibility stood out. I ordered the breakfast burger. I was on the fence at first, but the description of the house-made English muffin completely sold me -- and I didn't regret it at all. It came with a side of perfectly roasted potatoes . I also had the cold brew martini sweetened with maple, which was smooth with just the right touch of sweetness. My husband ordered a beer on tap and loved it. He also had the Hermes Loaded Hash and was a fan. We arrived about 20 minutes before closing, and the staff was overly accommodating without making us feel rushed. That says a lot. They also have a private room available to rent for $50, which I'd absolutely consider for a small gathering. This is a casual, easy breakfast spot I'd definitely return to -- especially if I'm in the area or don't mind driving a little out of my way for good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.
