Saw this place online and immediately thought we need to try it. We went on a Saturday around 9:00 am. Place is vibrant and has an amazing feel. There was a wait, but the locals were welcoming to us. We waited about 30 mins for a table and the wait was well worth it. The wait staff was friendly and helpful as we had questions since it was our first time. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs. It's not on the menu, but it's a secret special. The gravy was definitely the star, the eggs were cooked perfectly. We will be back and we can't wait.

Wow! This was some of the best diner food ever! The food was cooked perfectly and none of it was greasy! My eggs and hash browns were delicious. My husband enjoyed his omelette stuffed with meat. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was a little chilly due to the Ohio winter weather and the patrons opening and closing the door. We will most definitely be back! I would like to try some of their sandwiches for lunch.

While working in Beechwold I love grabbing lunch at George's Beechwold Diner. This time it was their club sandwich but instead of the usual pretzel bun, I had them put it on wheat. The onion rings were an added treat. Always friendly service there, it's a great place for good diner food.

The food is just classic and great. The interior is such a perfect diner vibe. Sat at the bar with my boyfriend and staff was friendly. Always refilling our coffee and checking in on us. Their omelettes and home fries are so delicious. The biscuit on the side was super yummy too. So fluffy and buttery.

I love a good diner, and George's fit the bill. It's a little local place off of Indianola in Beechwold. Parking out front and around the back, but between George's and Portia's, it gets full! They have counter seating and booths. There was a wait for booths this morning, but you could plop right down at the counter, so counter it was! There are a lot of quirky signs and mismatched coffee cups to keep you entertained. Breakfast is all day, which is a proper diner must! Since we went in at lunch-ish time, I had the fish sandwich and home fries. I thought it was a pretty solid fried fish sandwich, and really loved that it home fries were an option! The ones here are just the way I like them - slices with crunchy bits. Standard diner coffee - black and strong, with little creamer pods on the table. There were a lot of options in the menu, and plenty of specials up on the board by the door, so if you're in the mood for some simple breakfast options, I think this is a solid place to try!

What a great find! We were yelping for a nearby diner, and George's came up with high marks. I am from Columbus and have driven up and down Indianola so many times and have never noticed this diner. We parked up front (only a few spaces) but saw many people drive to the back for parking. Seating is open--just seat yourself at any table that is clean. Our server stopped by and got us coffees and then took our orders a few minutes later. I got the meat lovers omelet. It was so good! It came with hash browns and toast. They don't have my go to raisin toast, but had cinnamon toast. For those who want brunch at a locally owned establishment (i.e., not a chain), this is it! We will definitely be stopping by again. I am going to try and get here for lunch one day. They close at 3pm and so not available for dinner :-(

George's Beechwold Diner is a great place to go for a no-fuss satisfying meal. I sat at the countertop for an early weekday breakfast, and the servers were so nice and attentive and friendly. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, and we were taken care of instantly. The servers constantly offered us more coffee throughout the whole meal and kept checking in which was nice. I ordered the Meat And Cheese Omelet filled with bacon and cheddar which was a little bit dry. It came with a side of potato chunks which were nice and soft and was super filling, but I wish it had a little more crisp or some other texture to it. It also came with a side of toast, which I asked for rye, which was perfectly toasty. I also ordered a pancake on the side which was much larger than I thought it would be, which was great. It was super soft and came with plenty of butter and syrup. My boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy for his meal, which was a little too peppery for me; he has ordered that a few times from there and likes it though. I'll continue to come back and try something different to see what else I might like! But I'll make sure to at least order a pancake on the side as that was one of the best pancakes I've had.

I've heard such good things about this place and finally checked out this place when I ordered takeout from here! I ordered the Big Breakfast which came with eggs (over medium), toast bacon, home fries and French toast; a typical breakfast diner order!

Inside the bar, just head to the back inside window to order. They have a menu with some notes and updates, also. Seems chicken sandwiches will be back soon which might be the thing I try next. Also, on Saturdays, you can order a pound of chicharron for $20. A bit about costs: I think it's a bit expensive. A single empanada is $5. There are price breaks for larger quantities ordered. Italian sub and double patty burgers are each $13. The Appolonia Italian is a decent size, but the buger, even with double patty, felt small. The service is super friendly! The quality of their offerings is much higher than average. Everything tasted really good, no notes. The spicy Italian is a bit spicier than I prefer with their version of a giardiniera on it, but Mr loved it. All in all, a generous 4. I'd get it again and recommend it with my notes so you know what to expect. (Sorry I forgot a pic of the burger)

The heat, texture and combination of flavors were epic. The fries are well done too! They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and this was even after 30 minutes. Nothing fancy but done amazingly well and very quickly. My burger was out in a few minutes. I will say that the pizzas I saw coming out of the kitchen will have me coming back to try one of them. Our waiter was pregnant and super nice and explained the menu and the layout of the bar!! I ordered deep fried pepperonis to try as an experience because I've never had that and I was curious. NASTY SHOULDN'T HAVE GOT IT SENT BACK! They have a doggie ice cream vending machine which is really cool and patio u can chill with your puppy dog on with and they have like game room where there are pool tables, darts etc things u will see in a bar! I walked in like aw a bar let's see what it's hitting for! I was excited to try the flaming hot Cheetos wings and the Grippo wings! So bae and I placed a very large order of wings! I asked if they will charge $1 per 6 wings for flats she said no they will charge just a $1 for the whole order of wings cool (or so we thought). Bae got 12 wings: 6 lemon pepper, and 6 flaming hot wings; I got 24 wings: 12 flaming hot, 6 grippo, and 6 something that starts with an F. Me and Babè tried the flaming hot Chito wings, and they were disgusting. It did not taste like the chip at all so we had them returned, which was a total of 16 wings. Yes, I know that is a lot but it was disgusting and I shouldn't have ordered 12 of the flaming hot for myself, but I could not allow myself to take something home that I wasn't going to eat Now the Grippo's and I do apologize but the other flavor of wings you can see in the picture. They were really delicious. Babè loved his lemon pepper wings as well and then we also got a basket of fries. On the menu, there was some pretzel twist that I wanted to try but when they brought it out, it was a Bavarian pretzel and I was a little confused, but I didn't mind it. I ate a little bit of it, broke it down and took it home also on the menu there was a doggy burger. You can either choose a chicken patty or a beef burger I think so I decided to get my dogs a little little treat; the beef burgers they were five dollars apiece. So in the picture, you will see two containers that has some chopped up meat in it. That is what they are calling the doggy hamburger or chicken patty. There was barely any meat I could have went to McDonald's and bought 10 cheeseburgers and had more meat than what I received for $10 in these two containers I didn't even bother to give them to my dogs. I have big dogs I have mastiffs so I decided to give that meat to the geese that live in my neighborhood. I was so over it that I spent $10 on that and who said that I wanted the meat chopped up like I have over 100 pound dogs why would you give me ground beef versus a whole patty? Just my train thought if it's for a dog! So when it was time for us to check out, they had comped the deep fry pepperonis cause I didn't like them, and then the manager came to us and said that he will give us 50% off for the flaming hot wings so when I got my bill. I was a little taken back by the price. We were originally quoted that they were only gonna just charge us a dollar per all the wings but no, they still charge me a dollar per six wings so in total we ate a total of 16 wings out of 34/35 wings so we got three $1 dollar charges. Then I tipped $40 because I like the waitress she did do a really good job and the owner was nice But if I was already gonna pay 50% for the wings, I might have just kept the wings and just rinse them and did what I wanted to do with them in my own house for my bill to be $105 when I left No, the owner did have us try. His flavor of wings with the white barbecue sauce and it's another flavor of wings with it as well but they were nasty. We didn't like them. Will me and Babè come back of course we will probably come back and just purchase the lemon pepper and the grip of wings but I guess that's just part of learning a new place figuring out what it is that you do and don't like is the ambience something that I like no, I will probably just order for takeout. They do have over 26 different sauces that you can try and blend to make your own wings the way that you like them to be and then on certain days is Dollar wing night she did let me know, but I can't remember what day it was so I do apologize. You guys parking was a little hard as it is a very small parking lot. But you go check them out post your pictures. Tell me about your experience and we'll see you on the next one.
