Enjoyed our brunch at grand Day. I had the meaty omelette which was packed full of meat. It came with several sides that I don't usually eat, but I did try the hashbrowns. They were very tasty. We also had a breakfast sampler which they like. Service was good and the restaurant was a typical café, neat and clean.

The food was good. We had the breakfast lasagna and classic eggs Benedict and the pistachio rose cappuccino. I didn't care for the flower petals in my coffee but the flavor was great! Eggs Benedict ham/Canadian bacon was a bit too thick for me but the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The service was great and atmosphere is great. Very cozy and very busy. Seating is a tight squeeze at the tables. May request a booth next time.

Locals only! I'm not sure how many years I passed by Grand Day Cafe. Too many to count. (Mostly after closing time to be clear.) This is a breakfast / lunch joint only. Closes by 3 PM. It hits all the cafe notes. Busy, friendly wait staff, food that actually looks like their menu pics, and a family vibe. Happy to finally make the time for a lunch trip. Cannot wait to come back!

Came back to Ohio to visit friends and my best friend took me here for brunch. I ordered the country fried steak with eggs and hash alongside white toast (one of my favorite breakfast foods) and it was delicious! Our server was very attentive and made sure to check on us regularly. The restaurant is quite intimate but definitely gets packed quick during brunch time! We came for brunch around 11 and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. I didn't get to try their bubble teas but they all looked really good. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Columbus!

With the departure of many traditional breakfast haunts in the UA/Grandview area, we decided on this place for a Saturday brunch in the summer. Lots of seating with counter, indoor, and outdoor options. Parking, as it was a weekend morning was ample-might be trickier on weekdays. We were greeted by friendly staff and a massive menu. The menu was augmented by specials shown on a large screen TV or via QR code. So many delicious options! Boring traditionalist that I am, I opted for eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. The others went for more exotic fare, and it took awhile to decide for them, as the menu is so vast! Coffee always refilled promptly. Ice water, too. And it bears repeating...a super cordial, efficient, and helpful staff. This will be a new favorite in heavy rotation. A grand day, indeed.

Nice and friendly staff, the food was very delicious everyone was satisfied! If you come here they have something that even the most picky eater would love. The pancakes were very delicious and filling. The cooks in the kitchen cooked the food fast, small place with large crowds. But not a long wait time. I'll definitely come back!

I HAVE FOUND MY FAVORITE DINER IN COLUMBUS AND IT IS GRAND DAY CAFE. I took my friends and family here now two times and every time we walk out of there with smiles on our faces and full bellies. You truly cannot get a tastier filling breakfast for a better price anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and provides excellent service. The restaurant is a little smaller but it's cozy and super clean and cute. Our favorite is the country fried steak. It is cooked to perfection, comes with eggs and toast and oh my lanta is it delicious. To me it beats Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans. We also loved the pancakes and breakfast burrito. Hope your friends and family love it as much as we do!

Wandered in on a busy Saturday at 1:30. Glad we did! Extensive menu, attentive service, quality food. Thanks! We will be back when we are in the area.

Good food with friendly service. We met as couples and everything was good. Casual relaxed dining without the pretention. I finished my plate - no problem. Server was particularly good.

Our group of six adults stopped here on our way out of town on a Sunday morning...we weren't really sure what to expect since weren't not from the area. I am SO glad we stopped! We were seated immediately, which was great because we made it in just before it started to really pick up. Menus were a QR code which I don't love but when I saw their vast selection it makes sense! Basically any breakfast food you've ever heard of and some you haven't, is available to order for decent prices. I had a cheese omelet with hash browns and biscuits and I wish I'd remembered to take a picture of it before I started eating. Delicious! I also had an iced hazelnut latte with a sprig of fresh mint in it. Service was on point, she brought us refills of water and coffee and soda before we even needed to ask. All of us enjoyed our meals and left stuffed. Too bad they're two hours from home, otherwise we'd become regulars.

Excellent service and food. Plenty of natural light and extra light. Tables and booths for seating. Can hold large groups. Very clean. Friendly staff. Checked on us enough to see if we needed anything. My easy over eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were browned nicely. The bacon and English muffin were also good.

We both got the fried chicken BLT, the spoon bread and mac & cheese. The spoon bread is simple corn bread, but it was really good. The mac & cheese was homemade and delicious. The sandwiches were outstanding and huge. My daughter and I could have split one between us. Instead, we brought two halves home. Not sure what this place used to be. High ceilings with barn beams and an old style post office mail box layout, like you might see in an old hotel. Regardless, would not hesitate to come back.

We actually got to the restaurant a little bit early and they ended up seating us outside, which was perfect. For food, I had the fried chicken sandwich with french fries and mac & cheese. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich as well, so we each got a different side. The chicken was perfectly cooked without being overly greasy or oily. The french fries were delicious, and the macaroni and cheese was heavenly. Our server was very friendly and intensive to our needs. I felt like our food came out very quickly. Overall great time here and can't wait to come back. Love going to this place in Cincinnati as well, so I was very happy when they opened one up in Columbus.

We ordered the Wedge Salad and the Fire Grilled Chicken Sandwich with a side Caesar Salad. The wedge was outstanding, topped with Nueske bacon, pickled red onions, crispy shallots, and tomatoes, with a delicious blue cheese dressing served on the side. The chicken sandwich was equally impressive, featuring aioli, thick-cut Nueske bacon, burrata, gem lettuce, and crispy ciabatta. The chicken was grilled perfectly, served thin and tender. And let's be honest -- everything is better with bacon. Service was excellent. Our server made great recommendations, the food arrived quickly, and the timing was perfect for making our show. It looks and feels cool, and I can see why people would be drawn in. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the atmosphere at all. I ordered the Tavern Burger and onion rings, while my friend got the crispy pork belly and a burger. The service was disengaged from the start, and the food timing was a mess. My burger came out first and was way overcooked. They had to take it back and remake it, which took so long that by the time my food finally arrived, my friend had already finished their entire meal. Everything just unraveled from there. The wait killed any chance of enjoying the meal together, and the burger (when it finally showed up) wasn't worth the wait. The vibe is nice, but between the poor service and the kitchen mishaps, nothing about this visit makes me want to return. Disappointing all around.

The Rail in Grandview Heights is one of the offerings for restaurants that have popped up since the development of Grandview Crossing. It is a welcome addition to the area and offers dining. That is a step up from simple casual or fast food. It has been my experience at this location. Reservations are not a necessity. However, I always recommend calling for reservations or making them online. A table reservation simply leaves less to chance. The staff are friendly and helpful and accommodating customer needs. My hubby ordered the Bootlegger burger with the BBQ sauce on the side, and I ordered the Bonfire burger; we also ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer. It isn't 100% clear on their sign if you need to call them when you arrive; there is a number listed on the sign but that's it. So I called them to let them know we had arrived and the young lady ran our food out to us. It was smooth and seamless and we headed home. All of the food was hot and delicious! Nobody can make a burger like The Rail!! They are a little pricey; with tip, it cost $57.00. But you get what you pay for! We will definitely order takeout from them again soon. Next time I think we will just run in and snag our order since they have a convenient side door marked "carryout" separate from the entrance. Super convenient!!
