White chocolate chip muffins (offered while we waited)
    Meg H.

This would probably be in the 3.5 stars category, if half stars were possible. Went for a Sunday morning breakfast. You seat yourself (and be aware, it is a small -- very cute!-- diner-style space with limited tables inside and a few outside overlooking the creek-- so you may have to wait if you are there during a rush). Tables are a little run-down (ripped booth seats etc), but it does enhance the small town restaurant feel. Menu has traditional diner fare with a few marked specialties, like their eggs Benedict and "Big Nasty" biscuits and egg plate (both of which we ordered). Service was friendly and attentive-- but, the food took a very long time (our server even commented on it). I did appreciate that they brought out small (free) muffins for tables to hold us over while we waited for the entrees. The meals, when they arrived, were well made and seasoned. Big portions, but pretty tasty. Will likely go back to see if the long wait was a fluke.

First time visitor in many years. I'm glad to see they are still pushing out good food in a nice/clean environment. 5* all around: Eggs, Link Sausage, Red skin hash browns (best in town!), Texas rye toast. All that for $7.99 Service, Environment & Cleanliness are each 5* The coffee 1*. That's generous. It was black water. It would be so easy to kick up the jams on this important item. Open 8-3. Closed Monday. Check them out when you're in the area

I came on a Sunday for brunch and was looking for some good greasy food! The cafe was a little small inside and there weren't very many people working. It was all seat yourself and there was a line, everyone was respectful and waited their turn but it probably would've been easier and run more smoothly had there been a host. Once we were seated we were greeted by a very friendly server. We were able to order quickly but there was quite a wait on the food. I ordered a coffee, orange juice, the lil nasty, pancakes, and fries. When my coffee was running low there was always someone nearby to fill up my cup! The orange juice wasn't great, but wasn't bad either. The lil nasty was amazing and such a great deal for the price. The pancakes were very yummy and great price as well. The real star of the show was the seasoned waffle fries which were so crispy and delicious. Overall, this place has pretty good diner style food for GREAT prices. Everything moves a little slow, so it's not great if you're in a rush but is nice if you're looking to sit down and take your time. I'll definitely be back!

A cute family diner in downtown Gahanna. The server was very friendly and brought out complimentary pumpkin muffins, which were delicious! I got the Big Nasty, which was huge, delicious, and very reasonably priced at $9.99. The ambiance was very pleasant, and the experience reminded me of getting a good, home cooked meal.

Lovely little family breakfast spot along the creek in downtown Gahanna! Pre pandemic prices and large portions. Highly recommend, the friendly server even gave us extra little pumpkin muffins in a cute little bowl

Their cinnamon rolls are gigantic, and at only $4.99, I had to try one. They make it fresh from scratch on demand so it takes awhile to be served. For us, it was a 35 minute wait. It was good, though a tad undercooked. Understandable as me and my companions weren't the most patient diners ever. One thing they could have done to better serve their customers is bring out the food that was ready first and then, as we ate, brought out the roll - after it was thoroughly baked. I got the waffle and sausage links. My sister, who also got a roll, had a cheeseburger. All three of us agreed the food was good. The coffee was very good. The service was adequate and the atmosphere kitschy (see photos). Overall, a decent place to eat and a great spot with good views to wake up to.

Italian Chicken Sandwich with steak fries

Nice little diner in old Gahanna that does breakfast, brunch & lunch. Typical diner with nice wait staff & decent prices. I had an Italian Chicken Sandwich & steak fries. Not too bad, but was nothing great either. She had a Mushroom Swiss Burger & she said it was FANTASTIC! She's kind of a burger snob, too, so it must have been good. The fries weren't fresh cut, but were evidently tasty. Nice, friendly place with ok food. Nothing special, but we were satisfied.

You can't judge a book by its cover but you can judge a restaurant by its doorway. For Cafe Creekside I knew from its blue canopied entrance and white boarded façade close to the street that it would have a midcentury theme inside, which I like; that it would celebrate its local connection, which I like; that its rooted in the history of the town, which I like; that it would have comfy booths and tables nested in a cozy space; and that it would have a Club Sandwich, which I like and knew I would like it, which sure enough I had in its generous portions and I was happy as I was craving a club when I suggested the place driving by. This breakfast, brunch spot on Granville St sits the corner off the end of the main drag of Old Gahanna. Cafe Creekside is a continuance of Creekside Cafe, the name changing quite imperceptible in 2007, and closes at 3pm after seven hours of sizzling egg Benedict, pancakes, and sandwiches. Much beloved by its regulars, the Cafe was saved from closure when during the pandemic and subsequent lockdown several customers paid money the joint owed that would had shutdown it down forever. The decor reflects this connection to community with a wall of pictures of local people, streets, and scenes. My freshly made club, cut triangularly and on skewers, hit the spot with its melody of meats and mayo. My choice of fries was plentifully poured on top, making a favorable comparison with Gahanna Gille, whose sides were not as generously proportioned. My girlfriend chose a BLT and added an egg, sunside up, to the summer sandwich staple. It was huge and juicy and with her pick of waffle fries satified her hunger deep into the evening. They also have a nicely selected kids menu. Park in the lot adjacent to Wendy's. If the day is nice take a trek down the wooden stairs to the tree darken walk near the creek. A few feet down another stairway takes you up to the back of the Cafe and its shaded patio. The walk may make you think of a New England fishing village, but it's fully Central Ohio. You can't judge a restaurant from its back alley.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

This Gahanna location meets the high standard set by their sister location and even exceeds it from an ambiance standpoint. Visitors have their choice of various trendy lounge areas at which to sit including the bar area of the adjoined Goat restaurant. My wife and I dined in and I give high marks to the huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito and baked apple cinnamon roll. The hot chicken biscuit was no slouch either, but I think I would have enjoyed the chicken and the biscuit separately. Though, props to the biscuit for being sturdy enough to hold the two tenders and pimento cheese without crumbling. The chicken was also slightly more on the Buffalo spectrum than the Nashville Hot spectrum. This is a coffee shop at the core, and I don't drink coffee. This is my fairer place to order biscuits & gravy for a few reasons: -the sensible portion doesn't make you feel like crap (only 1 biscuit opened up on plate) -the turkey makes it lighter yet at same time this is a chunkier gravy than most...I'm not having to look for the meat -they put so much pepper in it normally that it has a nice kick of flavor, instead of the traditional bland one you get at many places. Switched out the potatoes for a side of cheesy grits which always hits the spot. The breakfast quinoa bowl is something I used to get all the time so I was really craving it, but it didn't hit the same way this time.
