Great food, great service. Paying for what you get, which definitely fills you up for the price.

    Johnny Boy Cheesesteak

I visited this restaurant on 5/8/26. This was one of the best cheese steak sandwiches I have ever had!!! I ordered the Johnny Boy which is a mix of beef and chicken and this was a packed 15 inch sandwich worth every penny. I opted for no onions and loved the combination of sweet red peppers and hot peppers on one sandwich. This place has a great laid back atmosphere with a bar counter. Several tables sprinkled around for those who want to stay and eat. You order your food and sit back until your name is called. You receive your food bagged up with utensils/napkins - I call it efficent and hassle free. The cashier was also friendly. This will now be my go to place when I'm craving cheese steak.

After checking into my hotel for the night before flying back home tomorrow I checked yelp to see what was in the area to eat and found this gem. First let's start with the service, we felt 100% at home and every question we had was answered. Second, The food was amazing!!! We all did a build your own and they were amazing!! My mom is doing keto so they made hers without the bun, just in a box. It was all seasoned PERFECTLY. Gooey cheese. Soft bread. Literal chefs kiss!! The fries were good but could have used just a tad more seasoning but that's just my personal preference. Last but certainly NOT least the cocktails!! I had an "I'm a grown woman" and a "B's Pear-a-Tini". They were a PHENOMENAL and the prices were amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I found this place, totally by mistake. My flight was delayed out of Columbus airport, so I drove by the airport exit and got off at the next ramp and did some searching on yelp for a good lunch. I love a good Philly cheesesteak and when this came up, I decided to give it a chance. It's in an awesome little main street type neighborhood, and when I walked in, I was welcomed and quickly served. After checking out the menu, I decided to get the Marlow, which turned out to be a great decision. This is an amazing Philly cheesesteak on Amarosa bread, tons of tender, perfectly cooked steak, peppers, cheese wiz, provolone, and a spicy mustard that I swear is cooked right into the cheese wiz. The flavors were intense and awesome. They bring it out the proper way fully wrapped so it stays warm and ready to take home if you need to. Great service. Friendly staff. And literally amazing food. Personally, this place should be famous. This is one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had in my life. And I will 100% make time to return the next time I am sent to Columbus for work or there for anything personal.

Try out this amazing place for the best cheesesteaks in town!!!!!!!!!!!! You can get Philly or chicken cheesesteaks. You can get sautéed mushrooms, onions, pickled veggies. Shall me move onto the fries?! HOLY HECK PEOPLE!! No wonder they were voted #1 last year. So different. I wish they had more cheese in their cheesesteaks & more sauce..but hey?! You can't have everything. Pretty local place. I would highly recommend for a stop in. Amazing owners. Alright cleanliness.

Do you see cheese wiz? And the bread was hard

OMG!!! This place is always hit or miss but this is it for me. Went into the restaurant to order and it was done in 10 minutes - clearly old food just sitting. The bun is super hard, the cheese stiff and hard, sandwich not hot. Definitely no where near as hot as I am. Waste of time and money. I also asked for cheese whiz - UGH!!!

This place is sooo good. The vibe is chill and there wasn't a lot of people when I came in. My order was ready quickly, and the lady who helped me was very nice. I ordered the salmon cheesesteak and the kobe fries. I asked for no cheese by accident, but they put it on the side for me which I appreciated. When I got home everything was still fresh and hot. Everything was seasoned perfectly and was very filling. The flavors were immaculate. There was also enough for me to save half for the next day (everything in moderation)

Yup, it's a legit cheesesteak. Just like in Philly, it doesn't have green peppers on it. For you weirdos, you can add them, for whatever reason. Next time I think I would ask for extra whiz on mine. The chips were unique. I would get whiz on them the next time I go. The only thing I found a little strange is that the place didn't open until noon. Maybe because it's a bar? I'm not sure on that. Limited seating so it might behoove you to go after lunch time. I got there around 12:30 and it was pretty full. I sat at the bar, which was fine. Nobody was in there pounding down drinks on a Wednesday. I'll definitely be back.

Yum!!!!! Got to try some of the restaurants favorites all at once and I was stuffed! The beef and cheese was amazing, seasoned perfectly, and exactly what you want and expect from a Philly cheesesteak. Chicken was good too (a little dry for me but I don't like a lot of toppings on my steaks so definitely a me issue) but the steak was my favorite. Fries live up to their name as the best!!! Also got to try a blackberry cocktail mule with Kevin Harts new tequila and I really liked it! It was tasty and the perfect drink to sip at dinner or outside! This is ran by a husband and wife and I loved that and hearing there story!! I never come to this area much but I will definitely be back and bringing friends. Thanks for the great night!!!

If you can snag a seat at the bar when you enter Marlow's in hopes of dining in, consider yourself lucky. All the (well deserved) hype around Marlow's makes it a busy place most of the time (or at least when I go). There's a full service bar and the bartenders are friendly and quick to take your drink and food order. Marlow's participates in Gahanna's seasonal cocktail trail so I always ask what new seasonal drink they have but there are also seemingly endless options of cocktails to choose from or water ice for your designated driver. If the bar isn't your thing, you can order from the host stand and find a table to sit and wait for your food. All the food comes out to-go style but Marlow's welcomes anyone to dine-in. If you've been living under a rock since they opened, Marlow's has the best cheesesteaks in Ohio. I always get the Classic Wiz Wit. It's a huge savory cheesesteak but I somehow always finish it no matter how much my stomach is begging me to stop. Fries are not an afterthought here either, they're perfectly seasoned and no matter what add on's you put over top they are crispy and delicious. You're definitely going to be walking out of Marlow's with a full, uncomfortable belly but you are absolutely not going to regret it.

Marlows way cheese steak no spicy mustard.
    Bearded I.

Woman that helped us up front was very helpful and was patient. Very friendly and a quiet atmosphere. The cheesesteaks are smack!!! Very good ingredients. The cheese wiz is on point. Also got the cheese fries its like they cut the potatoes themselves. Very good. Drink selection was limited on no alcoholic drinks but very good.

Fantastic cheese steak! Marlow's really does make one of the best. And the Old City mule was a perfect side!

One of the best cheesesteaks ever! Perfectly loaded, wonderfully fresh sub roll. Definitely lives up to their reputation. Malcom and the servers were all on the ball. Well done!

It's truly special when a server makes the effort to get to know everyone at the table, make jokes and join in on the laughs. I was visiting Columbus for the weekend, and throughout the rest of my stay after dinner, I can say this meal was a highlight! The atmosphere was beautiful, and we were seated right away! The cocktails were amazing, I had a strawberry fields. Now as for the short ribs, they melted in my mouth! They paired perfectly with the risotto, truly a great plate of food that felt like home! I have already recommended this place to friends visiting Columbus soon!

We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. This place has earned a lot of goodwill from us over time, but we wanted to share this experience in case it's helpful for others.

That being said, upon opening the door we were told we couldn't come in without masks. Mine was in my pocket, no problem. I haven't left my home (in Tennessee) often enough since the beginning of the virus for it to become habit to automatically put on a mask when I get out of my vehicle. But 9/10 times I remember before entering a public place. The male bartender just seemed rude in the way he told us to put one one. I had read the raving reviews, and being a Yelp Elite myself I know I can and do trust their reviews above others. So....I was really looking forward to trying something new and enjoy watching a bartender do their thing. The bartender pointed to two framed menus on top of a cooler containing seltzer's and canned drinks, and some glass bottles of pre-made cocktails, I think. I would've appreciated the bartender ask me what I liked, and help me decide, but it was easier for him to point to the sign. Customer service absolutely sucked hippo balls. I asked if I could just order a Knob Creek and Coke in a short glass, and a Blanton's for my hubs. Sure!! What I got was a shot of each in a to-go plastic condiment container with a lid, and two big paper go cups (like Burger King) of ice, and a can of Coke, which I told him never mind I had a soda in the truck. We also got two bags of Cheeto's, to make the sale legal. So....we poured our bourbons over the ice in the paper cups. I drank a few sips of mine, yum, even in paper. My husband was just about to take a sip and noticed something stuck in his ice that looked just like a maggot. He walked back across the street and told/showed the bartender, who vehemently denied it came from the ice because it was a brand new bag. Then I noticed 3 of the maggot looking things in my ice, so I went back in and showed my husband and then the bartender. He told my husband it was probably from the citrus he was cutting on a board near the ice bin. They were frozen INSIDE the ice cubes. I'm upset with myself that I didn't take a picture of it, it was gross. I'm upset that a bartender would try to make it seem like it was nothing. After seeing it all in my ice my husband just asked for our money back, and the bartender said, "But I've already poured another." Ummm, sorry, but no thank you. He did give the refund, but I most assuredly won't give them a second chance when I visit Columbus.
