First time dining here. I was in the mood for something different. I've driven by here a couple of times and was curious about it. I went with the Mac Daddy chicken sandwich combo. Although I chose to take mine today, the dining room was small but nice. What stood out to me was the lady working the counter. She was so friendly, welcoming and nice. She made me feel right at home. The fries were incredible! Best I've had in a long time. I was disappointed in the chicken sandwich. It was drowning in thousand island. In fact, all I could taste was the thousand island dressing. I would recommend they put it on the side and let the customer decide how much. It kind of ruined it for me. They were really pushing their breakfast items, so I got the impression that may be more their forte. If I came back, that what I'd be willing to try. I'm not really sure I'd come back for the other items on the menu.

    American burger and tater tots!

The service and food were amazing!! Highly recommend! The coziest place and the cutest atmosphere.

Food was pretty good. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Our eggs were a bit runny even for a wrap and omelette. But the price was great and taste was there!

Cute little restaurant. Friendly service. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Give it a try.

Can't order or see menu through drive-thru. No menus were posted online either. The food has been really good in the past. First time trying the new menu.

Stopped by on a Saturday early evening with 2 others. It was empty at the time we arrived but people slowly trickled in as it got closer to dinner time. The service was great - the server/cashier was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Philly Steak and a Red Bull Slushie. The sandwich was solid. I especially loved each of the toppings (mushroom, onions, peppers). It wasn't the best Philly I've had but tasted pretty good. The drink was alright. I needed an energy kick and wanted to try it. Can't expect much. Half a can of Original Red Bull mixed with shaved ice. They gave me the other half of the Red Bull which was appreciated. I suggest they offer more flavors and sugar free options of Red Bull as my friend wanted to try it too, but she only drinks sugar-free. Overall, we had a good experience. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good. I would recommend trying the Philly Steak. In the future, I'd love to try more menu items when I'm back in town. Prices are reasonable! Parking: Free parking lot at the restaurant!

Service was friendly and nice. Food was hot and fresh, not long of a wait. The inside was nice and warming. First time trying it and would definitely come back!

Very friendly staff, gave us the rundown on menu options. They have breakfast & lunch available. We arrived around 2 so we opted for lunch. The recommendations for top sellers were #1 Chicken sandwich combo & #10 Gyro combo. The chicken was good size, breaded & fried with cheese sauce. I added pickle & lettuce with tater tots. The gyro was a perfect portion of lamb, feta, diced tomatoes, lettuce & tzatziki sauce. Fries & tots were amazing. My only suggestion is to change from Pepsi to Coke products lol

I used to get wraps like this in high school, so they're probably getting some points for nostalgia, but the two times I've been here the food has been good and appropriately fresh, and I appreciate the drive-up window option for COVID safety. I don't go this way that much, but it's an excellent option for a quick stop for lunch.

    Chicken Little with fries

After driving to Circleville in hopes of finding some gem or a local restaurant and finding nothing that interested us, we returned to Columbus, starving and this was the first place we saw that we hadnt been to.... So we said yes to the experience of Star Kitchen. Let me start out: this place is well managed and the food is a very good value. You get a lot for your money. The staff has the energy that makes you feel they really care about the place, food and their service. It is clean: dining room, kitchen, bathroom. Staff was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. You order from an overhead menu at the counter (much like a McDonalds) but after you order they bring it out to you. We ordered a Marion Village and a Chicken Little w/fries. Omg. The fries are the star of the show. Yum. You want fries that have a little bit of crisp to them, but aren't over cooked or burnt.... Go here! They even have a drive thru. If you like salt you need to ask for it. They come without and honestly don't need it. That good!!!! The Marion Village is essentially their take on a gyro. It had grilled peppers/onions which trad gyros dont have. Lots of feta. The meat was generous, tender, not dry at all. The tomatoes were fresh. It had a sauce but it was not Taziki, not sure what it was but it was okay. Like I said, its their take on a gyro. I got the Chicken Little... solely because it was grilled chicken. That is a regular sized wrap with chicken, iceburg lettuce, cheese and dressing. The cheese was a liquid whiz type of cheese. I did not enjoy that element. I found the chicken not to be seasoned. For me the sandwich flavor didn't work. However every element was fresh it was merely personal preference that I didn't like the menu item. I saved half of it and when I get home will put franks wing sauce on it and I bet I love it. I should of ordered the Marion Village with chicken vs gyro meat. Imo, that would be the perfect sammy there.

We also got #5 Mimi's Melody, which has their homemade tuna salad on grilled rye (bottom left). Next we got our favorite, #41 Phil Katzinger's Club, which has their homemade chicken salad, bacon, and Honeycup mustard (top left). Additionally, having had a Goodman's Deli mile high corned beef sandwich when I lived in Cleveland, I had even higher expectations. Their most popular sandwich is the Reuben so I went with that. Katzingers did not meet them. When I arrived to pick up my sandwich I was shocked the line wasn't out the door to place orders before they closed and the dining room had maybe 6 people in it. There were about 6 to go bags on the shelf along with mine. When I mentioned to the cashier that I was surprised it wasn't busier, she said it'll be busier tomorrow. I said the day after St Pat's? No answer. Another not good sign in my mind. When I got home, the wrapped sandwich was bigger than my hand but not very tall. The paper had areas of grease which is a good sign for this sandwich. The corned beef itself was tender but there wasn't as much of it, maybe an inch high and 1/3 of the bread had no corned beef. I also could not taste the thousand island dressing. The rye bread was toasted but pretty soggy. The crust was mostly crunchy. The bread slices were paired upside down putting a narrower side a larger side against each other. There is not enough sauerkraut and it is not very sour. I was given the choice of a dill or garlic pickle but I cannot tell you how it was because they didn't put it in the bag. I expected this sandwich to have so much meat in it, I could eat for multiple days for $18. Again, disappointed. Maybe I should've gotten the deli sized version but paying that much for a sandwich... The inside of the deli is fun and it's obvious it's been around a long time and has been well loved. I wanted to like Katzinger's but since the price and the quality don't match, I cannot.

It may not look like much, but it packs a whole lot of "great" inside of it! PROS: -Service is fantastic. The servers, despite being less than an hour from close, were super friendly, and they made me feel like I was part of everything. No clique-y vibes or disgruntled employees. Lots of joking and laughing from the staff when they weren't serving. -Food was delivered freakishly fast. We had barely got our beer when we had apps, and we had only managed to get the chili cooled enough for a few bites before entrees came out. The kitchen was really on top of things. -Really large selection of salad options. Their ranch was really delicious, but most importantly, all the salads felt like relatively "healthy" salads unlike many places that try to make them restaurant "quality" by stuffing them with cheese and other treat-y options. This could definitely be a place you could take someone who had to watch what they were eating for various reasons. -Prices were very, very reasonable, and we came away with a good meal without spending too much. -It was raining when we left, and staff was offering to walk people to their cars with their restaurant umbrella. Seriously, it was amazing. CONS: -No dedicated parking lot. There were decent available spots on a Thursday night at dinner, though. It just might be a few blocks walk. -As a chill night, it was okay, but I could feel this place feeling a bit crowded with tables too close together on really busy nights.

We first visited the information center where they showed a short video about how the German settlers came to Columbus. Before leaving, we asked where we should eat for a true German experience. The person there immediately recommended Schmidt's Sausage Haus, saying there were other good places, but Schmidt's was the place for authentic German food. We walked over and were seated right away. Our server greeted us and returned quickly to take our drink order. We both had iced tea. He also told us about the buffet and suggested we take a look before ordering. We checked it out, but it just didn't appeal to us that evening, so we ordered from the menu instead. My wife ordered the potato soup, and I ordered the Old World Sausage Sampler: "A combination of four sausages from famous recipes of the J. Fred Schmidt Packing Company served over hot kraut und pork with German potato salad, chunky applesauce, und split top bun." When the food arrived, it looked amazing. I honestly don't remember exactly which four sausages they were, but every one of them was excellent. The sauerkraut had great flavor, and the warm German potato salad was outstanding. The applesauce was good too, although I personally prefer smooth over chunky. I actually mixed some of the applesauce with the sauerkraut and really enjoyed that combination. For dessert, we took a couple items to go. My wife had the cream cheese tort with cherry topping, and I had the famous cream puff. The tort was okay, but the crust wasn't my favorite and the cream cheese filling was just average to me. The cream puff was definitely better. The shell was perfectly done and the filling was good, although I was hoping for a little more rich vanilla custard flavor. I think a chocolate topping would have made it even better. Later I found out they also offer a chocolate version, but our server never mentioned that option. Our server was very friendly throughout the meal. The only small thing that became a little repetitive was him saying "All right, all right, all right" after every item we ordered. Overall though, we really enjoyed our experience and were glad we stopped. The sausage and German potato salad were especially memorable, and I'm honestly considering ordering some of their sausage and potato salad shipped to us this summer.
