Tonight, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap with extra chicken and received a Chicken Caesar Wrap with no tomatoes instead. First of all the place is located inside the Kroger on sawmill road. You can shop while you wait and immediately pick up your food when it's ready. This was my first experience ordering from ClusterTruck, and I have no clue why. There's something great about a ghost kitchen that deftly handles multiple cuisines, and my girlfriend and I were happy to mix and match. I was personally drawn to the breakfast burrito, despite it being dinnertime, while my girlfriend was feeling the bbq pulled pork sandwich. We decided to split a side of fries, and also ordered food for lunch the next day: me the baked ziti, and her the veggie fried rice. Oh, and we got churros and a cheesecake brownie for dessert. How's that for a multicultural mashup? All seven of the dishes across two days were great. The breakfast burrito is BIG and was perfect as a dinner entree, while the fries...oh boy, the fries. It's hard to make it 42 years and taste a new kind of french fry, but here we are. The ziti was perfect the next day, remaining moist and heating up nicely. The churros came with some very thick caramel, and were a perfect treat. I received a mailer for cluster truck with a discount code. I had never heard of it before, but initially I thought it was another delivery service like Uber. Turns out it's a restaurant with its own delivery service, and they only do delivery. I downloaded the app and I figured I would give it a try. You have to meet your drive outside for them to hand you the order out of the car. This is a little bit different, but I didn't mind this day. The car was easily identifiable by a cluster truck logo on the side. For a Saturday delivery was quite quick. Not sure I would like this if I was ordering delivery because I wasn't feeling well though. I ordered the Cobb salad and substituted the balsamic dressing for ranch. My salad was a really good portion and came with two dressing cups. The chicken came in large slices, so it required a knife to cut it up. The ingredients were fresh and as expected for a Cobb salad. My only complaint initially was that it still seemed a little bit pricey for a salad, however that is because delivery is included in the price. The only additional charge was a tip for the driver. So I think it is nice seeing the actual price, and not worrying about a bunch of extra fees driving up the total price. I will definitely keep cluster truck in mind when I am wanting food delivered. ClusterTruck is serving a variety that are delicious. Often when a restaurant has such a varied menu there is something that you get that you just wouldn't eat again. So far, everything I have had from ClusterTruck I would hands down eat again. My experiences with eating from ClusterTruck have all been when I am at Pretentious Barrel House and there isn't a food truck. Delivery is exceedingly fast. Between the ClusterTruck app and the text message up dates it is super easy to know when to meet your driver at the curb to get your food. I have had their pizza, which style-wise are somewhere close to an east coast style pizza. I would definitely eat again. The pizza even reheated (in a dry skillet) exceedingly well. I've tasted the chicken sandwich & shrimp tacos and thought both were good. Their pad thai rivaled what I have had at Thai restaurants here in Columbus. The only downside with the dish that was that they cut/broke the rice noodles so it was difficult to eat with chopsticks. (Yes I carry reusable flatware including chopsticks : ) .) The Gochujang tofu rice was what I ordered last week. It was nice and spicy. The brown rice gave texture to the dish which was nice. It smelled so good that the bartender at Pretentious even placed an order for the same dish. On each menu selection there is room for slight adaptation. You can ask for certain things to be removed, substituted, or added. For instance, to the pad thai or Gochujang rice soy sauce or sriracha could be added. On the pizza, in addition to changing toppings, you can add Parmesan packets. On a downside, there are some modifications that I wish could be made. It would be nice if tofu could be subbed into some of the other rice and noodle dishes to replace the meat proteins. I would also love if I could get the impossible burger but sub in cheese & mayonnaise for the vegan versions that the burger comes stock with. Oddly enough, you can sub out the Impossible burger patty (on the Impossible burger) for a beef burger but on the other burgers you can't swap the beef for the Impossible. Very cool service! Got a coupon in the mail and used it. My boyfriend and I split a crispy chicken Caesar wrap, totchos, chips and queso, and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The totchos were super good, tater tots with ground beef, guac, sour cream, tomatoes, with queso and salsa on the side. They stayed very crispy on the drive to myself, and the queso was delicious. The crispy chicken Caesar wrap was amazing! The dressing was rich and creamy, and the breading on the chicken was awesome. I've known about ClusterTruck for a while now. However, the scenario always ends one of two ways. One, I forget about them when I get hungry or two, I get half-way through the ordering process and I get discouraged and decide to go with something else altogether. Last night was an exception though, I think we finally turned a new leaf. The Pros: They have a little something for everyone including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets. Score! The food arrives insanely quick. Usually within 30 minutes of ordering. The delivery drivers are friendly and I love that they text you when they arrive. The food for the most part is really good and it doesn't matter what market you order in. I've ordered out of Columbus and Indy and both times I was happy and my stomach was full. The Cons: Their food delivery radius is pretty small so unless you live near downtown, you're out of luck. The delivery drivers do not get out of the car, so you need to meet them somewhere on the street. Depending on how much you order it makes you question how much to tip (orders over $12 get free delivery). Lastly, my biggest problem is that the most sought-after veggie burger on the planet (The Impossible Burger) is offered by ClusterTruck but they will not allow you to modify it. They only offer it as a vegan option and I wish I could get just a normal burger but with the The Impossible Burger patty. I seriously spent $10 last night to get just the bun, patty, and lettuce and then added my own condiments when it arrived. I was sick and hungry, but I doubt I do this again. Lastly, the mac n cheese I got would have been better with toasted bread crumbs as opposed to burnt parmesan cheese but that's just my opinion. I see I'm not the only one with The Impossible Burger issue so hopefully they fix that soon. We ordered several items to try - margherita pizza add sausage, Mac & cheese add broccoli & short ribs, Cobb salad, and a build your own burrito bowl. Everything was. The pizza was flavorful and a thinner crust which was crispy yet crewy. I would definitely order the pizza again. The Mac and cheese was great with the broccoli and short ribs. The salad wasn't anything special but definitely good. And the burrito bowl was flavorful. The portion sizes on everything were huge which helps with the price point. AMAZING!!! Here for work and didn't really want to leave the hotel for supper and couldn't decide on what type of food I wanted ! I mean where can you have pad Thai and tater tots at the same time ! They are super fast and with so many different types of cuisine on the menu we will never get bored! I tried the Ahi Tuna salad. I could'nt believe how fresh the greens and veggies were. It was beautiful. The tuna was fine. Nothing to freak out over, but we live in Ohio and we don't usually have the luxury of ordering fish that was not previously frozen. I work downtown so I use cluster truck all of the time. Its super convenient, the menu has tons of variety, group orders are super easy, and the food is actually pretty good. This usually wins our business over doordash (unless we're craving a specific place) because it allows people to pay separately in group orders. I will say a couple times they've forgotten parts of our order but its super easy to contact them and they are very responsive. They give 3 options - refund, credit, or delivery of the forgotten item. If you choose credit and it was done on a group order the person whose order was affected receives the credit. I LOVE that you can get half orders of things like fries and tots. This is the perfect portion for me and not as expensive as a whole order. I do have a complaint about the lack of ability to customize orders. For example, I wanted a Cobb Salad but I wanted fried chicken instead of grilled. I wasn't able to select this or make a note about it. My favorites are the BBQ Chicken tenders, tots and side salad. Their blue cheese dressing is very thick but very flavorful. Probably the best food delivery service in Columbus. I'm sad they haven't expanded to deliver to my home address yet, but when I work out of Idea Foundry I love to take advantage of being within their radius. They do say they'll meet you curbside anywhere within their radius so I might have to do that next time I'm close! The menu is really amazing. Something for everyone. The online ordering is so simple and group orders are super easy, too. I love that individuals can pay on their own so there is no money collection or "I owe you!" to deal with. The website is so easy to use and seeing photos of every meal is amazing! There are a lot of things I want to try, but I can't stray from the spiced chickpea bowl. It's SO good! Super healthy with a delicious tahini dressing and the grilled chicken is top-notch in terms of quality (aka no 'weird' pieces). I did try the potato salad once, it was also super tasty. In the time since I began ordering from here a year ago, the price of some of their items has gone up by entire dollars, while the portion size has decreased noticeably. For example, the breakfast burrito has increased in price by almost $3 in only eight months, and is maybe 30% smaller now. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good burrito, but it's not worth the price, especially given the inexpensive ingredients like eggs and potatoes. Two stars is appropriate for the quality of food combined with very, very long delivery times (I just checked my order history, and I tend to cancel about 20% of my orders, once they hit the 1 hour mark without the kitchen even picking up the order. I literally, at this moment, received an order that took almost 2 hours on the nose from order time to delivery, when the website estimate was 55 minutes max. And I live only a few miles from their location.) All of this on top of what has become, for me, a 50% chance of having food that arrives far from hot. Add to that a relatively high incidence of orders with other random issues. (I [used to] order very nearly every week, so I think I should know.) Delivery food is about convenience, and Cluster Truck only does delivery. There's nothing convenient about waiting two hours for maybe cold food, when Doordash can do it in 30 minutes.
