Went here on a recent trip to Columbus. The food was fantastic. I had the sandwich with roast beef and chicken salad (perhaps called the mohawk?) which was so interesting and delicious. I got the half soup half sandwich combo with the French onion soup. The soup was sooooo good, very deep rich flavor. Service was pretty good but maybe a tad slow which was understandable on a very busy Friday night. The ambiance wasn't the best. My friends and I were sort of shoved into a corner at the front of the restaurant that had seats that were pretty difficult to get into and out of. But overall we would probably return.

Mushroom bacon Swiss burger - A plate contains a burger with a bun, lettuce, and bacon, alongside a serving of French fries and a pickle wedge. The table has condiments, a glass of water, and a partially visible drink with a straw. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant with a textured tabletop and various dining items in the background.

Place was very clean, bathrooms and I could see into prep areas for food and looked amazing well taken care off Had the mushroom and bacon burger and it was okay. I'm not a big thick burger guy. Wife and daughter split a blacken cajun chicken pasta and they liked it. I'd come back.

The photo depicts the exterior of Mohawk Restaurant, a multi-story brick building with a red and white striped awning displaying the restaurant's name. Outdoor seating includes tables, chairs, and umbrellas, with a person seated at one table. An American flag is mounted on the building's facade. The scene is set on a sidewalk with a street and parked cars visible in the background, under a partly cloudy sky.

Great spot in German Village! Fast, kind service in a casual atmosphere and a nice little outside patio too! Taco salad was delicious! And so is the French onion soup! Pop into Helen Winnamores after right across the street! We are fans and will be back soon!

I think the most authentic Old Mohawk experience is sitting inside of the wood-themed, large barred restaurant. But for this Sunday brunch, I sat outside and enjoyed the sun and (relative) seclusion of their sidewalk patio. Yes, couples, children and pets made their way past us on the other side of the gated off patio, but it was hardly a distraction from the sunlight and good vibes in this chill German Village block. The Lasagna with Chorizo was a good choice. Adding a side house salad was an equally good choice. Having a draft Paloma may have been a better choice. They're also known for their meatloaf, and I'm definitely interested to try it.

1/2 Salad or Soup & Sandwich Mother Mohawk and Mohawk Turtle Soup - A meal on a white plate includes a sandwich with sliced bread, filled with meat and possibly cheese, accompanied by a bowl of tomato-based soup with visible chunks of vegetables or meat. There are small condiment packets and a dollop of butter or spread on the plate, suggesting a casual dining setting, possibly at a historic tavern or similar establishment.

What a great little pub/restaurant! Has a true old time feel to it, situated in German Village. The staff was outstanding! We were quickly seated. It wasn't very busy, so we were able to choose a seat.we were quickly brought water and menu's. We ordered the crab tater tots as an appetizer, friggin' delicious! They come with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. I would order three of these the next time as a meal itself! I ordered the half sandwich and soup. I had the Mother Mohawk sandwich because it sounded interesting- Grilled roast beef and chicken salad covered with Swiss cheese on rye. So gooood, I'd definitely order it again. My soup was the turtle soup. I've heard so many people talk about it. Again, absolutely delicious! Just try it! Well worth the visit! My wife had the lunch special which was a Pesto Chicken sandwich with fries. I got to try it, a feat mix of flavors! The chicken breast was so moist and tender. Covered in pesto, tomato and onion on a brioche bun. We'll definitely be going back! Great job to all of the employees! Parking is limited, so you may have to walk a little, but that's how it is for most places in that area.

Cute place. Even on a Monday night they were quite busy. Service was good. Food just ok.i ordered a Reuben. The bread was rye and soggy. The corned beef not very flavorful. Generous amount of tasty sauerkraut. Sauce served on the side which is a positive. Not too flavorful which is a negative. I have been before and had the very delicious veggie wrap which I should have gotten this time.

I LOVE the Old Mohawk. Great atmosphere and it was the perfect place to go for a glass of wine and warm meal with a friend on a very rainy night! The homemade meatloaf was delicious with the green beans and mashed potatoes... however I will say I think the sauce / gravy that is on the meatloaf did not sit well and made me very sick the next morning. I pinpointed the cause of the sickness to really only be something I consumed at dinner that night and I put my money on the gravy... I have a sensitive stomach and it just did not agree with it I guess! The food was excellent and I do not believe I got food poisoning... just a little be careful to anyone else who might have a sensitive stomach - perhaps skip the gravy on the meatloaf and enjoy it as is!

Outstanding lil' bar and gastropub in German Village... Stopped by TOM on a Saturday for lunch... It's a friendly, kitchy, neighborhood joint. TOM's got cool old school vibes with excellent service (our server Heather was great) and good food at a fair/reasonable price. This lil' place is certainly worth a stop when coming to German Village.

Tomato bisque - A bowl of tomato bisque soup with a smooth, creamy consistency and visible herbs is placed on a restaurant table. The table has utensils, a napkin, and condiments nearby, indicating a casual dining setting. The soup appears to be served hot and is part of a meal at a restaurant that offers indoor dining options.

Stopped in for a late lunch with friends. As always, the place is warm and cozy and welcoming. I had the tomato bisque and half club sandwich. One soup was well spiced (not spicy) and delicious and the club is dependably good. Service was excellent - attentive and prompt.

I got together with a childhood friend that I have not seen in fifteen years for lunch at the Mohawk Restaurant. It was nice to hear that he was doing well in his profession and marriage. He has one child and a Golden Retriever named Rex. He chose the Mohawk Restaurant because we often came here forbrews while living off campus. The restaurant dates back to the 1920's and is reflected in the ambiance. Brick walls, dark wood flooring, historic photos on the wall and an antique bar. As for the food, I ordered the Mother Mohawk (grilled roast beef, homemade chicken salad with swiss cheese on marbled bread). They offer a unique mustard with caraway horseradish sauce) $13.95. It paired well with a local brew they called CBC Bodhi $5.75. One brew often follows another. The service was sufficiently speedy considering the number of tables inside and outside she needed to attend to. She appreciated the tip. My childhood friend ordered the Bratwurst sandwich also $13.95. There is only street parking in the German Village.

Mohawk is one of my go to's in German Village. It has a classic, homey feel. Not many frills but great prices, great service, and pretty good food all things considered. Below are the things I liked and didn't like so much on my most recent visit. Things I liked: * affordable prices * nice portions * veggie chili had a bit of a peppery-ness and a kick to it * fried pickles were not too salty * great service * lots of seating * great bread (we had the Mother Mohawk and Turkey Reuben) Things I didn't like: * Cauliflower wings were not available but were still listed on the menu (our server indicated they would not be available for some time so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit soon) * our table was a bit wobbly * parking can be tricky at peak times, but luckily we found a spot nearby

Came here for a "late" dinner around 9PM on a Thursday, as most places in Columbus seem to close at 9PM. It was pretty empty but had a very homey, old school vibe. Our waitress/hostess greeted us and got us seated quickly. Food wise, I ordered the soup and sandwich combo and we got fried pickles to start. We wanted the fried cauliflower but they've been out for months apparently. The pickles came out hot and weren't overly pickley and well battered and crisp. I actually enjoyed it with the ranch. I got the mother mohawk and french onion soup as my main and again, I found both to be very enjoyable. I wish the bread in the soup wasn't soaked through so I could have some textural contrast but the melty cheese on top helped. The bread on the sandwich was great and toasted and the chicken salad-reuben combo was interesting and delicious. Overall, it was a cute neighborhood eatery and very affordable!

Went here for the first time and overall had a good experience! It is a cute little place in the German Village neighborhood. The Old Mohawk does have a fairly large menu. We enough ended up getting the BBQ Bacon Burger with fries. I enjoyed the burger, but there was just a little too much BBQ on it for me and made it a bit messy - would get it on the side in the future. The fries and service were great! Parking was not hard to find, there's free street parking.

Great for finding some food before attending a show at one of the nearby theaters. The menu is what I would best describe as comfort, food. Burgers, pot roast, chicken, pastas, and other selections, which are filling and delicious. A menu is available for review online. Parking is available on street and in a variety of garages and flat lots located throughout the area.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while but never found ourselves in downtown cbus until today…read more We saw a matinee show at the Ohio Theatre (highly recommend) and then walked over to Pat & Gracie's for a late lunch. Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍
