First time here when I came for the Restaurant Week menu. It is in a strip mall at the corner of Powell and Sawmill and is a fairly large space with a patio. I was early enough for happy hour and had a wonderful Cucumber Gimlet. The service was excellent. I ordered the House Chopped Salad, Lake Erie Walleye, and Lemon Blueberry Panna Cotta. The salad tasted really good and fresh. The Walleye too. I liked the fennel salad with cilantro lime rice. I ate half to take some home and not be too full for dessert. The panna cotta was good, mostly because of the topping. It is not something I would order again, being kind of bland, but to no fault of the kitchen. I'm not a custard-y kind of gal, but wanted to try it. I would definitely come back here for another meal. read more

I've been meaning to go to this restaurant for a while. We went on a Saturday evening and there were plenty of tables available. The ambiance is low key but nice. Everyone from the hostess to our server was very friendly and nice. They have a full bar and a decent selection of beers. My wife and I decided to share their whipped ricotta appetizer and their French onion burger. The appetizer came with thinly cut crusted baguette. The ricotta cheese was mixed with some strawberry flavor. It wasn't bad but I would have preferred it to be thicker in constituency. The burger and fries came out perfectly cut into half portions for each of us, which was a really nice touch. We had asked for the burger to be cooked medium rare and I think it came out more like a medium well. The patty itself was a bit dry. This may be a one off issue and we hope to return to try some other dishes. read more

This was our second visit to Two Rivers as a family of four. Overall, I do like this restaurant and really hope the best for them as service has always been friendly and efficient and the food is generally good overall. The key issue I had during this past trip was ordering the Yaki Udon noodles. If they would have just called this dish "Asian noodles", I wouldn't have had such an issue, but the noodles are basically Italian linguini in an Asian style sauce. If dish is called Yaki Udon Noodles, I don't think it's asking too much to expect to get Udon noodles. To me it would be ordering "gnocchi" and getting penne pasta... okay maybe a stretch, but still - the title item should be on the plate. I get chefs should be able to have their own take on dishes (I do this myself), but the way it is listed on the menu should be changed. My wife and son both enjoyed the three cheese tortellini, so at least that was worth it. My daughter ordered chicken fingers, fruit, and fries off of the kids menu and it was a nice children's portion for the price. Again, I hope to return eventually, but likely not soon as I'm hesitant to trust this menu. read more

It had fresh fries, topped with cheese curds, smoked brisket and a rich beef gravel all and lets not forget the pickled red onions. This was some of the best poutine I've had in Columbus area. We stopped in after visiting the zoo for lunch, with a party of four adults and two kids. We were seated immediately upon entering on a Saturday around 3pm. This is a very bright lighted and well taken care of establishment with nice clean bathrooms as well. We received decent service, and received our food in a timely manner. We started with the Burnt Ends Poutine, which is a shareable sized loaded French fries with Smoked Brisket, Cheese Curds, Beef Gravy and perfectly pickle red onion on top. For 15$ I Never had fries this way but it certainly didn't disappoint and was very interesting. Everyone decided on burgers. Two of us got the French onion burger and two of us got the All American Burger. The French onion burger consisted of very very caramelized onions, three different cheeses, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and a toasted bun with butter accompanied by french fries. The caramelized onions were so creamy and tasty. It really brought the whole burger together. The All-American Burger consisted of grilled onions, American cheese, a special sauce, bacon, lettuce, tomato on a buttered toasted bun with fries. The burgers were pretty big in patty size and we all finished our food with no problems. I'm glad we came here instead of spending over 100$ on 3 meals at the zoo!! read more

Came here with my wife for our date night due to the Yelp reviews. Pleasantly surprised. Restaurant is VERY clean, interesting menu with a selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches & entrees. I had the Caesar salad w/grilled chicken. Salad was fresh with perfectly cooked chicken that was tasty. My wife had the pork carnitas bowl, which was a healthy portion and delicious according to my wife. Two Rivers has been open two years, which is amazing as we weren't even aware of it. According to our waitress, they hear that a lot. They do take reservations, but it really wasn't needed. A mix of high tops, tables and a nice bar. We stopped in for an appetizer to share and picked the burnt ends poutine...AMAZING!! It's a meal on its own. The beef was tender and flavorful with perfect melty cheese curds, perfectly seasoned gravy and yummy tangy pickled onions. Perfect combination. We had a very friendly and attentive bartender ( we sat at the bar ), the restaurant had just a few customers at this time because of it being about 30 min before happy hour at 3pm. It's a "chic" and rustic modern style with an open kitchen at the back of the restaurant. Had lunch here with my daughter. Been here before and the food is always good .casual place . We ordered the cinnamon rolls which are four small ones instead of one large one. Good but needed to be warmer. The salads were good . I had the chopped salad which was good and my daughter had the apple avocado salad. To much lettuce and not enough of the other stuff . The fish was kind of fishy tasting, unfortunately, and some of the grains of rice were hard. They were so hard that I spit them out to make sure they were actually rice and not something else. They were indeed grains of hard (as in very under-cooked) rice. I took the dessert home for my husband and he said it was excellent. Wow the owners did this place right. High ceiling restaurants are typically a difficult place for us to talk and enjoy our time. Two Rivers has enough acoustics panels throughout to avoid the need to speak loudly to your partner or guest. The food was above normal for what we thought we were getting, which was typical bar fair. Hubby had a smashburger, sauce on the side. Next time will definitely put the sauce (think of a slight dill pickle, spicy aioli taste) on the burger. It was cooked perfectly and very very juicy. I had the roasted tomato soup. The patrons, literally the other customers -- a Tuesday night, happy-hour, entitled without a reservation crowd -- were a little atrocious but the restaurant handled them with ease and grace. We had a fantastic meal and once those customers left, the ambiance was fantastic. Highly recommend making a reservation (the food is that good) but there's also open bar seating for walk-ins. The neighborhood skews older and so did many of patrons, but again the restaurant navigated everything with expert care. The vibe of the restaurant is younger, hipper than the guests or the location. Highly suggest ordering the Blueberry Colins, salted bread and burrata too! For dinner, filling up on amazing appetizers, I had the Catie's Apple Avocado Salad. It was such a great choice. Stumbled in on our way from Dublin to Marysville. It was very quiet at 3pm on a Saturday. The hamburger was 5* according to my mate and my chopped salad was very good too. What an amazing experience. We visited Two Rivers this evening for dinner. It was our first time. It was awesome. The entire experience was top notch. Our server, Rory, she was amazing. Gave numerous recommendations and was so efficient and quick. The food was top level and the restaurant atmosphere was incredible. We met the owner, Mike, and he was so down to earth and so appreciative. I also noticed that every associate working was helping each other. It was such a well oiled machine. My chix sandwich was perfect. Not heavy and just the right portion size. My wife's salad was extremely fresh and flavorful. Dessert, well let's just say, added a few pounds on me...lol. Tried this place for the first time. The restaurant was very nice inside sitting at the end of a strip shopping center. Food was good. I had a crispy chicken sandwich but requested the chimichuri spread on the side. I ended up enjoying the spread and will include it again. The chicken breast was good but felt a bit smaller than comparable sandwiches I have had other places. The service was outstanding. Rory was an excellent server. When I return (want to try the brunch) I plan to ask for her. Place is a need to try. Seemed like it was on the pricier side of what I might expect, so be prepared. read more

I'd probably go 3.5 stars if I could because our food was mixed in results. The tuna crudo was very disappointing, so bland, it was just the tuna not even with salt (very good tuna though). I had the soup of the day which was pasole and it was good. I had the French onion burger and it was very good, definitely had the French onion flavor and perfectly cooked but the "three cheese" part didn't ring true for me. My wife had the apple salad with salmon (tiny portion of salmon) and it was good. Our service was great and the ambience is very casual which was what we were seeking, the drinks were good too. My husband and I were looking for someplace new to try and saw this listed on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. It's kind of tucked away in the Big Bear plaza and we had never seen it. We went out of our way to order as many things as we could. Hey, I am often Yelp Elite! Have to take care of all you readers. This is the greatest restaurant gift to Powell we could ask for. As a foodie I have been wishing I didn't have to go into the inner belt of 270 for my palate. Two Rivers is shining. I notice some little things like a chef getting fresh blackberries and working it into the drink, salad and dessert menu. That's not typical of "the burbs". The food and presentation is excellent. For the price points they hit, this is glorious. The kitchen staff show some real pride in their work. Little details like some avocado mousse on top of a salmon dish stand out as a nice accompaniment, not a dollop. The staff is still getting to know each other and learn their dance moves, but I'm just trying to defend my reputation for anyone that wants to challenge my 5 stars. If you are in that boat, order one of their craft cocktails and look me in the eye without smiling like a kid on a hot summer day getting ice cream. Thank you for coming to Powell. This season I hosted a party for a total of 10 people, I decided to make it a little easier on myself so I too could relax & enjoy Company ~ I decided to have Two Rivers cater my dinner for all my guests. Our main entrees consisted of three dishes: Grilled Flat Iron Steaks Frites with French Fries, Arugula, Roasted Garlic Aioli Pork Carnitas Bowls with Cilantro Rice, Black Beans, Roasted Corn, Pickled Red Onion, Red Peppers, Sour Cream Southern Fried Chicken with Sauteéd Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread, Thyme Honey Butter, Pan Gravy Two Rivers were very accommodating to my requests of a few modifications & my guests loved the food. The food was literally coming out of Kitchen and being packed up on the arrival time we wanted requested for pick up. All three steaks were on point as we requested all three prepared "Rare" and looked Mouthwatering! All the food was carefully packaged in sturdy containers & looked Wonderful. The restaurant has vibrant atmosphere that you can feel as soon as you walk through the door, Lauren the Manager has assembled an exceptional team of bar, serving and support staff who are not only knowledgable about the menu but also genuinely enthusiastic about their rolls. Our server Steve was the epitome of attentiveness but without being intrusive. Our party of four started with a selection of appetizers, The Daily Charcuterie Plate, Crab Roll and Spring Mushroom Tart. Each dish was excellently prepared,tasty and well portioned. The main courses we ordered were Flat Iron Steak, Pozole Braised Pork Rib, Spinach and Ricotta Tortellini and my favorite Southern Fried Chicken. Every dish was visually pleasing and packed with flavor appealing to both the eyes and palate.The evening was concluded with two standout desserts the Brown Butter Blackberry Tart and Warm Peach Crisp with Ice Cream , You could truly taste the homemade quality in each bite, rounding off an excellent evening. Amazing!!! Wanted to try it moore than once to get a good perspective, given Powell doesn't get new full-service restaurants very often. Stopped in three or four times since they opened, and it has been consistently great. The restaurant is very welcoming and has an open concept. Hostesses greet you at the door and sincerely welcome you. Would recommend making reservations as we have seen 30 minute waits for walk-ins during prime time. Seating options include Outdoor covered patio, bar stools/high tops, and general restaurant booths, tables and high-tops. They have a full-service bar in the center of the restaurant with bar spots for 12 or so people. Havent seated at the bar directly but looks inviting - with a few TVs visible. The environment is energetic local place - lots of people engaging with each other and the staff. The Chefs are actively checking on their patrons. Definitely not your local library - given the happy fun vibe you get from the start. If you want a quiet area, suggest a front or rear booth or even the covered patio. It is very casual and could a great or family fun, friends, work, or just a solo quick bite. Based on recommendations from others, we have made reservations each time and our table was ready on time. Our experience has been great! Friendly Hostesses and Servers! We have had a couple great servers - including Jacob and Noelle. Both were fun, engaging and helpful in selecting best options. Feels like this staff has been together for a while given they work and have fun like they are long life friends. Our most recent visit we pulled a high top in the bar area for 6. We've tried a couple of their house specialty drinks: Old Fashion (great mix) and the Cucumber Gimlet (so refreshing). We have tried a few of their bourbon pours, beers and wine options too. Plenty to choose from and easy to choose. As for appetizers, I ordered and would highly recommend the Tuna Crudo and Burnt Ends Poutine. Tuna and pickled cucumber provides a refreshing light start and Burnt Ends brings it home with flavor/fries/fire flavor. I would order the Tuna as a lunch plate and the Burnt Ends would be great for kids to share too. We shared the Apple Avocado Salad and it was delicious for an intro. Not overwhelming but Creamy Avocado dressing was super tasty. Could also do this with Salmon as a lunch/dinner. For Dinner we have tried Reuben, French Onion Burger, American Burger, Meatball Sub, and Grilled New York Strip (all five are amazing and would do again) - However my two favoeriwews are the Southern Fried Chicken and Three Cheese Tortellini. Chicken was incredible meal - with a boneless juicy piece of chicken, you also get a fresh & little crunchy green beans, their spin on mash potatoes and a little cornbread. SO SO DELICIOUS! Three Cheese Tortellini (I added Salmon-see picture), was and still is my favorite. Thanks Noelle for recommending it. But PLEASE PLEASE don't forget to try the Brown Butter BlackBerry Tart or as we kept calling it the Brown Betty Apple Blackberry pie. HA! It is so good. Great place!!! Make a reservation and enjoy. Ask for Jasmin behind the bar. So friendly and so professional. Then get a table in Emily's section. Fun, personable, knowledgeable and didn't mind four old people bothering her. The fried chicken dinner is amazing. Crispy, plus mashed potatoes, green beans and a small piece of cornbread. The red blend Palisades wine was really good. Now I need to find a bottle. The margarita must have been tasty since my wife had two. Place was a little loud but it was a fun loud.
