Came here with my wife for our date night due to the Yelp reviews. Pleasantly surprised. Restaurant…read moreis VERY clean, interesting menu with a selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches & entrees. I had the Caesar salad w/grilled chicken. Salad was fresh with perfectly cooked chicken that was tasty. My wife had the pork carnitas bowl, which was a healthy portion and delicious according to my wife. Two Rivers has been open two years, which is amazing as we weren't even aware of it. According to our waitress, they hear that a lot. They do take reservations, but it really wasn't needed. A mix of high tops, tables and a nice bar. Bright airy interior and a covered exterior patio.

This was our second visit to Two Rivers as a family of four. Overall, I do like this restaurant and…read morereally hope the best for them as service has always been friendly and efficient and the food is generally good overall. The key issue I had during this past trip was ordering the Yaki Udon noodles. If they would have just called this dish "Asian noodles", I wouldn't have had such an issue, but the noodles are basically Italian linguini in an Asian style sauce. If dish is called Yaki Udon Noodles, I don't think it's asking too much to expect to get Udon noodles. To me it would be ordering "gnocchi" and getting penne pasta... okay maybe a stretch, but still - the title item should be on the plate. I get chefs should be able to have their own take on dishes (I do this myself), but the way it is listed on the menu should be changed. My wife and son both enjoyed the three cheese tortellini, so at least that was worth it. My daughter ordered chicken fingers, fruit, and fries off of the kids menu and it was a nice children's portion for the price. Again, I hope to return eventually, but likely not soon as I'm hesitant to trust this menu.

I will say when we pulled up I was surprised to see everyone working in the kitchen through the…read morewindows. Then we asked in the front door and it was so much smaller than I imagined. One single set of shelving down the middle of the store with foods on one side and wine on the other. The perimeter is a deli type counter on one side with the food counter and checkout area in the back. Please believe me when I say be prepared to just look past all that chaos to see the beauty in it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Yes they do offer suggestions, answer your questions and carry your purchases to your car for you. Who does that nowadays?!? I read a review saying not to skip out on the rosemary sea salt bread so I didn't. I mean the smells and it looked like perfection on the tray so how could I resist!? So glad I didn't. It was warm, soft, flavorful and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I would return for the fresh baked bread alone. We were given samples and we made our selections, paid and had our goodies carried out to the car for us. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We ended up with a couple varieties of olives, a couple of meatballs and the bread. All fabulous. If you're anywhere near this area and you need some mouthwateringly good food do stop in.

So I go to do online and says can't place at this time. So I call 2 mins later sounds like they answer and slam phone shut and hang up....Odd. So I call again and ask to place a pick order and what sounds like a high school aged girl says we're not taking orders at this time. I said oh can I ask why I mean you are open right. And she said it's been a slow day so we decided to close the kitchen. That's odd it wasn't a slow day when you didn't answer the phone and then slammed it closed because I presume it annoyed the high school girl. Seamed like a nice local, healthy place to try for first time. But not gonna deal with little high school attitude.

I have been to this establishment a few times over the last two years. While the food is usually…read morevery good, the service and attitude of the employees has been less than stellar. The last time we went was a prime example. For one thing, when you ask a patron whether their gluten-free option is an allergy or a preference, it can come off very rude the way it is ask. If someone wants something gluten-free, then it should just be made gluten-free. No questions asked as that is rather intrusive. The second thing is we were eating lunch and there were about eight other people in there. It was 2:05. We didn't realize what time it was. They could've simply said. "Hey we're closing in the dining room" and we would have left. Instead they started putting up chairs and mopping the floor. There was an elderly couple in there, and I am on crutches due to A knee surgery. We all had to leave over wet floors and they seemed to care less. Even locking the front door and asking us to walk down the wet hallway with no rugs to leave. It was merely 2:10pm. They were downright rude and could've cared less for the patrons safety.
