This market runs the entire length of Longshore Street and it is closed off for pedestrian traffic only which is great. The market is on Saturdays from 9 AM to Noon in the summer. For your musical enjoyment, there were several folks performing live music which really adds to the experience. If you would like some breakfast while you shop, Saddleberk sells hot breakfast sandwiches and Sweetwaters has a tent outside their storefront with pastries and coffee (try the Dreamy cold brew). This market is mostly vendors selling speciality foods, gifts, jewelry, etc. I think there were only two or three vendors actually selling fruits and vegetables. Just like in Worthington, lots of big strollers and big dogs. The longest line was at The Crazy Cucumber, so if you are on a pickle run get there early.

They have lots of fruits and veggie stands, the pickle company from Johnstown is SOOOOOOOO yummy. My boys ate the whole large container before the end of the night. I got a bite! They usually have the local honey guy, they have the sauce, dip, and meat vendors there as well. With the pandemic, you walk in one way, stay 6 feet away, they make sure you have sanitizer on your hands before you put a mask on. They have masks there if you don't have one. Very well organized and supporting locals is the way to go.

Only four stars because there was just one open register lane on a fairly busy Saturday (another was opened once the line stretched far back) and the automated hand sanitizer in front of the store was broken (though they had a small pump next to it). They had an incident a few months ago with their refrigerator system where they lost a lot of meat and dairy and produce, but they seem to have re-stocked and everything is back to normal with the fridges! Part of why I like this Aldi so much is they just installed self-checkout so you don't have to worry about waiting for a cashier. The staff is all super nice and helpful, and they do a lot of mobile orders/ pick up orders from their location. The store is newer and always very clean, definitely my go-to Aldi.

I discovered it when I moved nearby, and I went whenever I could, for baked goods and produce. Nowadays, Sweetie sets up sometimes to sell dog treats. I go and help when I can. It's not as big as some markets, but the produce is super fresh and there are amazing homemade treats. Show up early for the pretzels- she sells out within an hour every day. Get some honey, cupcakes, whatever. It's set up right in downtown Plain City, in a little triangle of streets that they block off right under the clock tower (well, the base of it- the clock is out for repairs...) Check out the local shops, the historical society, etc., and grab dinner at Ol' 42 Grub House across the way. The market happens every Thursday from 430pm-7, during the summer. There is parking along Main Street, and some behind the market off the alleys.
