Fantastic ALDI location! Tons of parking. Clean, spacious, and modern. Wonderful selection on all foods: fresh produce and proteins, a wide array of beverages, and basically everything in-between. Great pricing too. Really enjoyed browsing the store -- particularly the take-and-bake pizza options, snacks, and frozen sweet treats. Everything was organized and fairly straightforward to find. Only four stars because there was just one open register lane on a fairly busy Saturday (another was opened once the line stretched far back) and the automated hand sanitizer in front of the store was broken (though they had a small pump next to it). This Aldi is probably one of my favorites in central Ohio. Every time I go I feel like they always have their produce stocked and I can find what I'm looking for. They had an incident a few months ago with their refrigerator system where they lost a lot of meat and dairy and produce, but they seem to have re-stocked and everything is back to normal with the fridges! Part of why I like this Aldi so much is they just installed self-checkout so you don't have to worry about waiting for a cashier. The staff is all super nice and helpful, and they do a lot of mobile orders/ pick up orders from their location. The store is newer and always very clean, definitely my go-to Aldi. read more

This location opened a few weeks ago, in the big Costco plaza. It's bigger than most Aldi's, bright, clean, open. A bit more selection- you could do most of your shopping here. I generally use it for last minute things, but they have a lot: produce, frozen stuff, dry goods, even household stuff and some odds and ends like fans, drawer liners, etc. They even have a decent beer and wine selection (not huge, but good stuff.) Good prices, good service. Bring your own bags, and a quarter to rent a cart. I'm surprised to find myself giving an Aldi four stars, but they had what I needed and more, at decent prices, and the experience was enjoyable. read more

ALDI - Grocery Near Me - Plain City, Ohio

Aldi is my secret weapon, nutritionally and budgetary. I am fortunate to live within 15 minutes of 3 locations; but the newest location in Plain City (just outside of Dublin, Ohio on the NW side of Columbus suburbs) is my favorite. It is very clean and well-organized and the most important feature for any grocery store: well stocked. I'm often surprised at the opinion many have of Aldi. As if it is a "lesser than" grocer. I have traveled to Europe a few times on extended periods where picking up some groceries for my lunch and snacks occurred - and Aldi reminds me very much of a European grocery store. True - the majority of their products are their own label so you could consider that "off brand" but I would hope we all realize that doesn't really matter anymore. I tend to focus on the ingredients label for nutritional value and avoid certain ingredients - their private label scores highly. Why Aldi? The majority of my groceries are produce - and Aldi is a great spot to buy your produce. Like any location, you need to check dates and check product - I skip buying anything that doesn't look good or have enough life left for my plans but rarely is this an issue. This location has a very large produce area and is continually stocked throughout the day. The quality is usually top-notch. My go to list: 1) 3-5 bags of the kale "chopped" salad kits $2.89 each 2) celery (1-2 stalks; 2 if I'm making soup) (around $1) 3) bagged baby spinach (1-2 bags) ($1.29 each) 4) romaine hearts (skipped this week, looked wilted) - $1.99 - $2.99 5) fresh mushrooms $1 - $2 per 8 ounce package 6) baby carrots $1 7) red onions $1 - $2 8) fruit (1 pineapple, 1 bag of apples, etc) - usually under $2 or $3 Along with a container of spicy hummus ($1.89) I could live on this short list for the entire week. Since I resumed eating meat last fall, I also pick up a few pounds of chicken breasts and some form of beef - typically a skirt steak or ribeye in the vacuum bags that are good for a few weeks. (I now sous vide my meat so more planning goes into the preparation - I make several servings at a time so it's ready to be added to a salad kit for a quick lunch or dinner) Dairy is also a great value. I prefer limiting dairy - but when I am going to use sour cream in a recipe, I prefer the brands with the least amount of ingredients (Daisy, for instance). Aldi's private label "Friendly Farms" mimics this as well - but is about half the price. Shredded cheese, block cheese, various dips, and other "dairy" items, including "special finds" are available also. More real bargains at Aldi are the pantry items. Cereal, crackers, grains, pasta, snacks. Cereal averages just over $1 or so a box. The rice checked cereal tastes exactly like Rice Chex but is only $1.29. Bags of tortilla chips are $.89 a bag. Potato chips just over $1 and so forth. Crackers? You guessed it. Half the price of the large chain grocery stores. Since the majority of my household's cracker consumption is the dog's twice daily peanut butter covered medicine, served on a cracker - this is my main supplier. Tips for Aldi? 1) for light trips - take shopping bag(s) in and carry the food you plan to buy in the bag as you shop. No need for a cart - and you know what will fit in your bag(s). 2) for heavier trips - have a quarter handy to use a cart. You get the quarter back when you return it to the cart area; or give it away and be a hero. 3) ongoing: I have 2 large Aldi shopping bags and I keep them in the trunk of my car. This particular location is right next door to a TJ Maxx / Homegoods and you can buy their large shopping bags for $.99 if you forget your regular bags - but Aldi also sells bags. This location gives me a new opinion of shopping at Aldi. This location is SO much nicer than the one close to where I live, that it is worth a bit longer of a drive. I stop at Bibibop for lunch, get my nails done, and make a fun Saturday outing out of it. No shopping hungry for me. The produce section here is excellent and the prices are just ridiculously cheap compared to the grocery stores. What you do give up is the variety you would get at a Kroger, and there are some pantry staples that they just don't carry. They have their own store brand of gluten free foods and I hope to see the GF offerings expand. read more

had a very poor customer service experience with a cashier named Sarah and the manager that was present on 12/30/22, unfortunately I did not get his name. Sarah was upset that she scanned an item that was not with the order. When my sister apologized three consecutive times. She proceeded to push the milk back and squish everything on the belt behind it clacking together glass bottles. She did not acknowledge what was being said to her. She had an unkind and unprofessional attitude as she continued to scan out my order. It had nothing to do with the way she handled my products but more her unprofessionalism and it was matched by the the unprofessional manager read more

Really bad customer service by a woman name Sarah. She scanned a milk that wasn't on my order. It triggered her and She had a bad attitude and pushed the milk onto the other items on my sister's order. She proceeded to have a really bad attitude and I really smug look and she was taunting us but we only gave her a bad attitude because she was giving us a bad attitude first. We had to speak to a manager but he was a big douche and did not care either. It really wasn't about her smashing the other items as much it as it was her attitude but the manager did not seem to understand that read more

It's amazing. Great prices and wonderful produce! Also able to have groceries delivered via instacart. I love that the cart allow space for two kids to sit adjacent to each other instead of the average 1 seat usually found on most supermarkets. It made a huge difference on our shopping experience and allowed more space in the cart to be used for groceries. Make sure to take your 25cents to get a shopping cart. You get the money back once you return it. read more
