    Italian sub
    Sandy W.

Another successful trip to Lucky's Market. I headed to the deli area where I ordered the #4 (Italian sub). Every day the subs are $5.99! I ordered it hot as opposed to cold. Also got a slice of pizza for $1.99 on Thursday! Also got a pound of egg salad. Then I went to the butcher and got a pound of ground pork. Apparently you have to ask for it because it's not in the case. They use ground pork to make their sausage links so they don't package it up but it's available if you ask ($4.99/pound). I scanned the isles and grab a few things then checked out. Was so excited to try the sub when I got home and it was delicious!! The egg salad was perfect as well!

I thought Lucky's Market would be cool. It seemed to be a cheaper local and organic grocery store. This place isn't as good as I thought. It's not cheaper, but it has good products and service. This store acts like a local place and they have many items from local businesses, which is the best thing. I really liked it when it opened because they advertised their competitive prices. It was supposed to be the next cool place to shop. They were supposed to be like a cheaper Whole Foods, which would be cool if they were. It seems like everything there is more expensive now. The soy milk was way more than $3 the last time. It's even more expensive than Whole Foods. They also have a lot of junk food. It bothers me that it presents itself as being a healthy store. They usually have god customer service. A few times they don't, of course. It's like it's never the same people working. Always new employees. That's why they're always hiring. Around the store are hiring advertisements. It seems they can't keep employees for longer than a few weeks. High turnover is a sign of a failing business. They know it sucks so they get out when they can. I would shop at the other local stores before here. It seems to be one of those fake chains which pretend as if they care about the community but really act super corporate. Will not be back here.

I like this place for the most part.. however, I've purchased fruit many times that turned out to be rotten. I don't normally write reviews but come ON. I've been burned too many times by this place. But your product elsewhere. Below is a photo of a whole watermelon I bought from them. I cut it open approx 3 days after buying. Also.. the included is a photo of a mango that i just cut open. The pit is black and rotten. I won't be buying produce from here again.

Turkey sub from Lucky's Deli only $5

A good friend told me that Lucky's Markets deli makes really good sandwiches at a tremendous price. We were going on a road trip and we thought lets get some sandwiches for the trip. Their menu is simple. I went with a turkey sub and my husband chose a ham sub. You can get them hot or cold, but we both went with cold since we were not eating them for a couple of hours. Normally I would have gotten mustard, oil, etc on my sub but I opted for the sub as is on the menu. We were shocked when we found out that our two huge subs were only $5 a piece. Please check out my pictures so you can see how truly big the subs are! Hours later while on the road we dug into our sandwiches. I still could not get over how big the subs were for only $5. There was plenty of meat. As I was eating I noted that I would have rather had a hot sub with some sort of moisture, whether that be mustard or oil. At that moment on the road I would have even been fine with mayo (I'm not a fan of mayo), my sandwich was really dry. But we were not eating the sandwiches in the optimal situation so for $5 the subs were amazing! If you are looking for a large portion for a tremendously low price, check out the deli at Lucky's and order up one of their subs. I suggest getting it hot with some sort of condiment. Enjoy!

We had an excellent experience. It's not your typical organic health food store! We had amazing service at the meat counter. The butcher really did a great job. He cut our steaks and packaged up. We took them home and popped them in the sous vide and had the best steaks! We also got some shrimp and lobster tails for a reasonable price. We had a lovely surf and turf dinner. There seemed to be a massive selection of wine and beer. It was nice to see that they had some CBD items. Great place a bit of a drive but well worth the trip!

If you live in or near Clintonville, you've probably heard of Lucky's. Its where all the hipsters shop (or people who try to be hipster like myself, but look really bad in skinny jeans). The prices are comparable to other grocery stores, with the benefits of keeping your money local. They have a pretty decent cold/hot bar, and their rotisserie chicken is delicious. Whenever I am motivated to eat well, I shop at Lucky's. Maybe if I keep shopping here, I'll eventually look good in skinny jeans.. (doubtful).

Great and slightly unique collection of food items and household items. Easy checkout.

Groceries are overpriced. Produce is OK. Picked up a sandwich and it was honestly the worst veggie sandwich I've ever had. Soggy and gross.

It sort of reminds me of a local Trader Joes, which is fantastic because local is always better in my book.

Once your number is called, you'll be quickly helped. This system ensures a fair and efficient service for all customers. At Schuman's, you can be sure that your meat and side needs for any meal, big or small, will be met. The butchers are not just knowledgeable, they are also incredibly customer-centered. We bought pork chops and were asked if the thickness was to our liking; if not, they were willing to cut what we wanted. Their helpfulness and support make me feel appreciated and confident in my choices. Schumans has an extensive selection of beef and pork products, and a delightful delicatessen with a variety of cold cuts and cheeses. While Schumuns does not make its own sausage like Thurns, it does carry a wide selection of Falter's products and Tony Packo's. At Schumun's, you can find more than just meat and deli products. They also stock staples like milk, bread, eggs, a wide variety of condiments, rubs, Tony Packo's pickles, and local butter by the log. This convenience adds to the overall satisfaction of shopping at Schumun's. We miss Thurns but are thrilled with Schumun's Meat. Give them a try.

I also spend way more than I should, but in the case of Kenny's Meat Wagon, $14 for two sandwiches didn't break the bank too much, but it did almost put me into a food coma. I've had several chances to check out Kenny and his wagon, but I just never gave it a chance. Today was that day and what a great day it was. I could smell the grill from a ways off, especially the Chicago style Italian beef he had sitting there marinading. The menu offered for regular options and two specials, one being a Veggie sandwich. I had to figure out how to try a bit of everything without overdoing it. I went with the Italian sandwich, which had a thick slice of Genoa salami and pepperoni on it and a pile of the Italian beef covered in veggies and spicy mayo. This.. should have been enough for me, but I had to get the Corby Dog too which was a 1/4 lb hot dog topped with pulled pork and homemade BBQ sauce and purple slaw. All the meats are local, and the awesome bread that it comes on is too. I downed that Italian sandwich pretty quick even though it was quite a bit of food and started to get the meat sweats. It was so good, but Kenny's not messing around with his meat, and you'll probably want to take it slow. As far as the Corby Dog, I saved that for later. About 15 minutes later. It was absolutely delicious, and the BBQ sauce mixed in with the sweet peppers and grilled onions was really tasty. I wanted to get this review out here before I fell asleep at work, because the food was just so good. I see now why he won an award at the Columbus Food Truck festival. He's also selling OH Chips! If you find him, you have to give it a try. The Facebook and Twitter pages are updated daily, so that'll be your best bet!
