They have some of the best maple syrup I have ever had from Strine Family Farms. Then to top it off they have my all time favorite Moscato wine, Bug Juice! This shop has a meat and cheese counter with the most helpful and patient folks. Customers can try the food, and you can see the passion on the workers faces as they talk about their products. Went in and requested about a 3" slice of cheese. Was given a less than 1" slice I said that isn't even close. The worker said he couldn't deal with me and requested someone else help me. He gave me a slice that was 1" thick. When I put my fingers up to demonstrate what 3" was he told me I had a bad attitude and he wouldn't sell me anything. I had shown both people the slice of cheese I wanted with my fingers. Unbelievable arrogance. read more

This is such an amazing little store. We stopped in here not planning to buy anything and failed miserably at that. The service is very friendly. The for must have let us sample 10 different kinds of cheese and we ended up buying 4 of them. There were so many good cheeses. We got a horseradish, balsamic, mustard seed, and blue. They also have free samples sitting out on the counter. We would definitely come back again next time we're in town! read more

They also have meats, including Italian meats like salami, capicols, sopressata and basic deli meats like turkey breast and ham. So, probably needless to say they can cater to your meat and cheese tray needs for parties or holidays. Their local bulk candy selection includes Abbott's Caramels, Ben Heggy's chocolates (which I tried and loved) and old fashioned penny candy. They also have a various specialty foods like jams, jellies, maple syrup, mustards, fondu pots (no kidding, again), chips, crackers and more, including gift baskets and cheese accessories like cutters and boards. Forewarning though, the owner is a clever salesman and from his curtesy and the delicious cheese, you'll walk away with a good amount destined for the fridge. Best cheese ever! We sampled several, bought aged gouda and Wensleydale with cranberry (like cheesecake but in a supreme form), and transported both cheeses from Delaware OH to Albuquerque NM (5.5 hours flying, cooled with cold water bottles). Just had another little snack of cheese - fantastic! Our daughter, a student at OWU in Delaware, will bring gouda to Oma at Thanksgiving. Oma is from the Netherlands, and the cheese is so good that we're bringing it to her from OH to AZ. We now have a "cheese transport bag" (cooler bag for plane trips). read more

I am so happy I stopped in this shop as I waited for someone to finish the Ironman 70.3. Right away I was impressed with their selection of goods (cheeses and otherwise). Furthermore, all three employees that were currently in the store (the owner and two others) were above-and-beyond informative and friendly. When I asked to try one cheese, they happily did so and recommended several other cheeses I should try as well, based on my interest in the first one. I will definitely make the drive out to Delaware again soon just for this store. read more

I was hungry for some good cheese and did a search for cheese shops near me. This was the closest one. As luck would have it I was going to be in Delaware anyway. I stopped in on my out of town. This place was exactly what I was hoping for. They had a big selection of cheeses and the owner was friendly and knowledgeable. Best part he let me taste the cheeses I was interested in. I ended up buying some Grand Noir Cambozola cheese and Raisin Pecan Rosemary crackers. The combination of the two is out of this world. Deli-ware sandwich with some crumbly sweet rye bread and scant amount of corned beef, I asked for add onion and don't think they had any to spare..Great place to sit outside, but bring your own lunch!!!
