The last 3 orders we've placed took over 2 hours to be delivered (for 2 sandwiches) and both times they used the excuse of bread needing to be baked and shift changes. Sandwiches were butchered and not made correctly every time. Attitude came from the staff and no apology for the inconvenience. Zero stars if possible. This place needs a wake up call. read more

They offered a special went in to order it the lady at the counter who was the manager said I had to use the app even though I am standing right there. Download the app try to place the order. App kept giving g an error. Another worker in the back says that thing never works. Manger says sorry about your luck. For multiple times in a row, our order today was delivered more than an hour late. I placed my online order at 10 am when they opened. I asked for it to be delivered between 11:45 and noon. I live not far away (about 3 blocks), but have mobility issues, so had it delivered. I finally received it at 1:00. My husband works from home and has a limited window of time when he can eat his lunch. Considering that I paid a fair amount in delivery charges plus a tip on top of the cost of the food, this is disgraceful. If you can't provide delivery on time, don't accept delivery orders. Reading other reviews, I can see that this is standard practice at the Delaware Jimmy John's and not an isolated incident. We won't be ordering from Jimmy John's again. read more

Ordered food using app at 12:25, app is showing sandwich is still being made at 1:10 so I called the store. Explained I placed an online order just wanted to make sure they received it. He tells me yes we got it, your order has been ready but we are waiting for the delivery driver to come back to the store. I asked how long that might be he said I don't know ma'am, have a nice day ‍ definitely not freaky fast and I'm thinking I should have just went to get food that I really wanted and not settled for something deliverable. So I call the Delaware OH JJ for the usual order. They tell me they had a no call/no show. My order will take an hour and a half. So I said, can you throw in a bag of free chips for the wait. He said "No". A BAG OF CHIPS FOR WAITING 90 MINUTES AND YOU SAID, "NO OR GET A REFUND?" You're wanting to lose a $30+ order over a bag of chips? YOU LOST A CUSTOMER TONIGHT YOU CHEAP FU&K. I suggest looking up "Give them the pickle" and learn from that. Seriously a big of chips is what you lost a customer for? Your loss I guess. I am very for giving businesses the benefit of the doubt, and perhaps this store is hard up against the labor shortage right now. But this is not the first time I have had to wait a fairly large amount of time for a few cold cuts. I know that a few businesses in my area have been giving their delivery business to DoorDash and GrubHub... Which I hope is not the case here because the delivery apps are nails in a business' coffin. The quality of the product is usually great (on par for a chain sandwich shop) but you can't promise "subs so fast you'll freak" and take one to two hours to deliver. Nah, I am just freaking out that I ordered something for the family and now have to scramble to cook something before bedtime for the kids. Look, it's fast food a step above Subway. I'm not expecting miracles. But for a company that advertises "freaky fast delivery" this franchise location consistently fails to live up to this branding. They rarely have enough delivery drivers so in their lunch rush your sandwich may not arrive for a hour or two. Literally two hours. And that's if they have drivers at all because sometimes they'll call after you've placed your order and tell you that they don't have drivers and ask if you'd like to come pick it up instead. Bear in mind that they can't refund your tip or delivery fee and cancelling your order means they've tied your funds up for a couple of days with your bank. But hey, at least they get your order right, right? Wrong! Just all around a hot mess, take a pass and pray that the Jersey Mike's opens soon. read more

I don't get this place. If you customize a sandwich through online order they NEVER get it right. What's the point of offering customization if you can't do it? They also regularly forget items in online orders..today they forgot to include a bag of chips. This will be my last time ordering from this location. I really enjoy this location. The staff is very friendly and fast. They always accommodate my quirky requests for my sammiches. I love the pickles!! The tuna on the wheat bread is so scrumptious. It is always very clean and well organized in this location. The staff seems to work well together as a team every time I am in. I will keep coming back. My kids love going in too! When they talk about "Freaky Fast" they are not too far off. However, the "Freaky Good Taste" is less then that! MY sub was high on bread and low on meat - hell it was low on everything other then the bread and the bread wasn't that good either. The locals thought of this place as super fast, but even that was a bit of a let down - especially when comparing it to other places I've ordered at and actually received good food. Pricing was good though - well not so good when you think of the product, but it certainly feel within our company guidelines for price. Selection was really nice - thus the 2 stars instead of one. They even have the JJ Unwich - which claims to have all the same ingredients as any sub or snadwhich without the bread - in my opinion - at this place - that's more like a very small app then a sub then - wrapping it in lettuce is great for reducing carbs, but my God - there would hardly be anything there! I've always loved Jimmy Johns. When I lived in Delaware I got delivery a handful of times, always crazy fast (per usual), never anything wrong with my order, and super smiley staff. I've gone in the store once. For the five minutes I was there, seemed clean and again, super smiley staff. read more

Jimmy John's was freaky fast today as usual. I tried their new kickin ranch was quite tasty. It was like a spicy ranch but my only complaint is it was very thin so it just ran off my sandwich. The bread was nice and soft and fresh. I just wish this location delivered to my house. I live less than 2 miles away. I love JJ's but hate trying to fight for a spot to eat there. Also, it is irritating they don't deliver past Grady Hospital. I rarely eat here because I don't want to fight for a parking spot. JJ's should really consider extending their delivery past the hospital all the way to Hoik Rd. read more

I like Jimmy Johns. The problem is that there is NO parking at the current location and it has virtually no seating. The other issue is that they exist to serve the downtown area. I live 3 miles away on the west side and they wont deliver this far. Unreal! I have asked JJ's corporate as to what their delivery area/radius is for the Delaware store and they will not discuss it. They are pretty good about delivering orders in good order. I work in the downtown area and usually do my orders online. Sandwich's are good too. read more

I think Jimmy John's in a downtown Delaware location is great. They're in super close access to OWU students, and that is their primary demographic. Sorry folks in Carson Farms, downtown isn't scary, I promise. And there is plenty of parking. The only time you should be complaining about parking is if you wanted the street spot directly in front of the store and that one is taken. Otherwise if it's after bank hours you can park in the Chase or PNC lot, you can park across the street behind Old Bag of Nails, you can park in the public area on the other side of the BP or even around 1808. This is not a problem, you've just got to look for a second and walk for a block or two. The subs are great. The chips are delicious. And they're a Coke store. All good things. My only issue is I want them to bring back the sprouts! That e.coli scare was so long ago, and I need my sprouts!! So that's my plea. :-) Jimmy John's, don't listen to the haters.
