Great place. Had Travis' BLT and the Roast beef sandwich. Service was above and beyond - Kelci was our server - attentive, professional and so friendly. Tried a new soup de jour - Asiago Tomato. Such a cozy & welcoming vibe. Our waitress happened to also be the one who baked the delicious pumpkin cheesecake pie we had. She was the sweetest & attentive as well. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the mini complimentary muffins - a great start. We tried the skipjack tuna melt & the roast beef bake. My daughter loved her sandwich & we both had side salads with homemade house ranch (perfectly seasoned). I liked my roast beef bake but I think I will order something different next time. It was very filling & great comfort food. They have a lot of salad and sandwich options & average prices. The best part for us was the homemade dessert & the store that's inside. I could spend hours exploring it. They have it decked out for the holidays currently & I definitely recommend going. The only downside is they aren't open for dinner. read more

We love the atmosphere here. It's always busy when we go there, but the waitresses take good care of us. They're known for the quiche, and it does not disappoint! We also like the mini muffins they serve when you sit down. Their house coffee is great too, but it's not sold at their gift shop. read more

I took pictures of my delicious lunch but they came out too blurry to post. I will just have to describe. The restaurant has a very quaint and cozy atmosphere. I loved sitting near the fireplace on a cold afternoon. I had the "basket lunch." You pick a tuna or chicken salad sandwich, served with chips and one more side of your choosing. I really enjoyed the side salad and the homemade ranch (perfect for dipping the chips). They had several kinds of soups and a flavored coffee of the day (snickerdoodle...yum). The only suggestion I would make would be perhaps some background dining music. It was awkwardly quiet on a weekday, and I could hear the conversation at the table next to me much more than I would have liked. A perfect stop if you also need to browse for gifts! read more

Went here for lunch with some girlfriends on a Saturday! Get their early like right when they open so you can put your name down! They don't take reservations. They have a bunch of cute stores and items to browse while you wait! And multiple floors too! It reminds me of a Cracker Barrel. Once we got seated we got the muffins and coffee of the day. For lunch I got the special - which was chicken salad sandwich with corn chowder soup and chips. Everything was delicious! I do wish the sandwich was a little bit bigger though. It was a nice time to catch up with friends! I would love to go back and try more foods! read more

Food is good quality. Prices are fair. Service is good. Solid choice for a cafe style meal.

So disappointed; years ago this was spectacular place to come but today, as I brought my youngest niece in for brunch was told kitchen didn't open until 11 am even though I called a day before and told 10:30 but we could shop, really ?!!! We didn't come to shop but because this was a special day , we stayed and ended up waiting over 20 mins for our meal and it was luke warm at best. Needless to say , huge disappointment and won't be returning. Such a shame too. Was really excited for this day to share with my family. This was my first time at The Morgan House and I really enjoyed it. They open at 11:00 which is when we planned to be there. But my whole party did not arrive until 11:15 so we could not be seated until everyone arrived. Turned out about a 45 minute wait. That was not a problem because there are lots of rooms to check out. The merchandise was kinda expensive so I didn't buy anything but was fun looking around. The food was delicious and had a good selection on the menu to choose from. Also desserts were amazing. Ambience: good off street parking but if you are handicapped, don't park close to the street. There will be three steps up and then two steps down, if you are in the front room. Access is better from the back, but they don't direct traffic that way. The front room is the reconstructed log cabin and of my second great grandparents. So it brings back fond memories--ok, I don't really remember it from before 1985, but my 94 year mother does. Food: excellent house soup--very creamy and rich. The turkey Reuben is a healthier choice than their regular one. Very tasty, too. The chicken salad was good but the seasonal sides were tough. Not in season! And you had to cut them up to be edible--nothing having to fight your food. Service: the hostess was not particularly welcoming when I mentioned the front entrance lack of handicapped access and she conveniently forgot the cornbread basket until I reminded her. This is a lovely spot for lunch. We have always been delighted over the food choices, and I would go in for their wild rice soup anytime. The food was good. Nice shopping but we got there at 11:25 and didnt get seated till after 1:30. The hostess stated that they dont have busboys during the week because they're in school. She was bussing the tables herself. It took forever to get water and we had to ask for coffee refills. They were skimpy with lettuce on the salads. We waited over an hour to be seated and then over an hour for our food. There were empty tables and the waitress apologized multiple times for the slow kitchen. A group of 10 plus a few of 5-6 were seated before us though they arrived at restaurant AFTER we were signed it! The food tasted good, but it's not worth a 2 hour wait! If they would have comped a cup of coffee or given us a dessert, it would have at least made it a little better. I can say, we are NEVER going back, and I will not recommend to anyone. read more

The Morgan House really needs to figure out how to handle the lunch crowds during the month of December. I was there today and left because the wait was going to be at least an hour. I arrived at 11 AM and put my name of the list for a table. I checked back about 20 minutes later after they had started to seat people and was told it would be a hour wait at least. Meanwhile there were many empty tables. I was told they did not want to overwhelm their servers. Folks who were waiting to be seated were standing in the areas where others were trying to shop which made it impossible to see the merchandise. I suggest that extra servers be hired for the Christmas season or that reservations be accepted. read more

I recently moved to Dublin from Southern California, and a friend told me about The Morgan House. It's an old historic home they've turned into a restaurant, gift shop and specialty food store. I love eating in the restaurant; they have the best chicken salad, and the fruit is always fresh and tasty. The Morgan House soup is very good, too, but you have to like curry. The ambiance is beautiful, and you feel like you're in an old bed and breakfast with the shutters on the windows and portraits on the walls. I bring all my Cali friends when they come to visit, and they really enjoy it. Keep in mind the restaurant is only open for lunch from 11-3 usually, so it's not a dinner destination. read more

The restaurant is underwhelming. It's pricey and my lunch was barely warm. It was also one of the two specials of the day. My wife had the quiche and said it was OK.You would think that the specials are the best thing available. A $31 lunch deserves better than indifferent food and service. Finally had time to sit down and write my reviews. My husband and I ate at the Morgan House the other day and our service was terrible. I believe our hostess was named Judy and she was the rudest person I have ever encountered. I have had several good experiences but it only takes a bad one to ruin it.
