    A Sammy with avocado.

I have been to the Katalina's in Clintonville numerous times before finally going to the one in Bexley. It did not disappoint especially for the Pancake Balls with Sweet & Spicy Bacon. The husband had the burrito and the wife did the Sammy with Avocado. I always get the pancake balls with the pumpkin and apple butter filled inside the ball. Same rules like other Katalina's, do not sit until you ordered your food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I like the water dispenser with a choice of carbonated, chilled, plain water. I love the Mexican bottled Coca-Cola and Boylan's Diet Cola. Their food was delicious too. The location used to be a Boston Market. I will be going back to the Katalina's in Bexley again soon.

A bright and airy diner greeted our search for pancake balls. The rich treats were filled with a delicious dulce de leche filling and sweet and spicy bacon strips. The maple syrup on the side was the perfect companion. We also enjoyed a crispy chicken sandwich and the gigantic burrito.

Katalina's has been one of my favorite restaurants for awhile now for breakfast. I finally got to go to their third location. It is strongly encouraged to order your food prior to grabbing a seat. We arrived at noon on a Sunday morning and parking was totally fine due to the place next door being closed. I think it could get hard to park. I always get my favorite of their Award-Winning Breakfast Tacos. Three local Koki's white corn tortillas filled with North Market Spices-infused housemade chorizo, scrambled cage-free eggs, housemade tomatillo sauce, avocado, queso fresco, organic cilantro, local Snowville crema & fresh pico de gallo. Served with Elote Mexican Street Corn. You should definitely get their Original Pancake Balls for the table. The Nutella ones are AMAZING! You can choose your fillings of Nutella, Dulce de leche, or Katalina's Pumpkin-Apple Butter. I don't know if I would get this for a full meal but something for everyone. This restaurant is bigger than their others. It is a little different that at the other locations, there are drawings everywhere and it's encouraged to sign your name. I would definitely give this restaurant a try if you're looking for a quick breakfast. It is a tad pricey but in my opinion, worth it.

I had the pleasure of hosting my Let's Get Social holiday brunch at Katalina's. We had a variety of choices, from the famous pancake balls to Mexican "French" toast. Brioche battered and toasted with Mexican pure cane sugar and sprinkled with a touch of North Market spices and tamarind sugar. Served with Katalina's original thick-cut Sweet 'N' Spicy bacon or Beeler's bacon and local maple syrup. Classic "Hens-in-a-Basket" Two eggs inside two slices of toasted sourdough, plus Katalina's original thick-cut Sweet 'N' Spicy bacon or Beeler's bacon and Katalina's Purple Craze Hash. @katalinascafe

All my posts are epically long with little to no acknowledgement so I'll keep this one short and sweet: Don't go here but RUN HERE! Everything was FABULOUS! You could see and taste everything was scratch made. It's not like they bought their stuff from Sam's Club Costcos, GFS, or the frozen food section of Krogers, they put hard work and effort in EVERY MORSEL and it shows! Great drinks and customer service as well. 6 Stars if I could've given them

First, the counter service was great: very friendly, offering helpful suggestions and explanations about the menu, and overall felt very welcoming. The prices are quite high, especially considering the size of the dishes. It took a surprisingly long time for our food to come out, even though the order was simple (avocado toast and a chicken sandwich), and the server did apologize for the wait. The sandwich was tasty; we didn't care for the potato side (lukewarm, not a lot of flavor). The avocado toast was good. Cute, clean decor with original art work in and outside. Seating is somewhat limited, and you must order before sitting, so that can be a mirror stressful (they have a nice outdoor patio, so warm weather months might be a better time to check this out).

The service was incredible, very fast. comfortable, clean environment. FOOD WAS AMAZING!! Unique, Mexican inspired dishes with lots of flavor. Loved the purple hash. Drinks were good. Can't wait to come back!!!!

Food is ok, tiny portion sizes and unnecessarily expensive. If you're looking to feel full after a meal this is not the place to go.

Good food, nice people. Bit pricey overall but enjoy coming when I can! The orange juice is delicious and breakfast tacos are a go-to.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.

Brassica: My Go-To Spot for a Fresh, Healthy Flavor Bomb…read more Brassica is hands-down my favorite place for a fresh, healthy meal that never sacrifices flavor. From the consistency across locations to the value and thoughtful sourcing, everything about it feels intentional. How it works: You start by picking a base--salad ($11.99), sandwich ($8.99), or hummus plate ($9.99). Then choose a protein like falafel, chicken shawarma, or the harissa-rubbed brisket that falls apart the second you pick up your fork. The veggies deserve a shoutout. Usually I avoid roasted vegetables because they come out bland or soggy, but here? They're seasoned and cooked to perfection. The marinated eggplant is silky, the beets are bright and earthy, and even the cauliflower has so much flavor. If you think you don't like vegetables, Brassica might change your mind. *Don't skip the sauces -- the z'hug jalapeño cilantro sauce ties everything together, and the feta adds the perfect creamy finish. Special Mention: The Minty Pink Lemonade. As a self-proclaimed lemonade connoisseur, this one passes the test. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and honestly the best $3 you'll spend all day. The portions are generous, the ingredients are high quality, and the atmosphere is laid-back but modern. If you haven't been, it's worth the trip. Busy at 1:15 on a weekday, end of the lunch rush, apparently. Multiple people behind the counter, working hard. Slicing the meat seems to be what takes the most time. They were professional, but not wordy. Took my order, got it going since it has to be grilled, and kept working on the rest of the orders. Counter, phone, pick up, etc. The sub came out in about 10 minutes. Fresh and hot. Loads of meats (ham, salami, pepp,) grilled onions, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes. All on good bread. Oh, and provolone cheese, nicely melted. All the flavors and textures work together really well. It's a little spicy, really not much, but enough to add some flavor. The 8 inch was enough for a light lunch for me. I would definitely get another one. I hope it sticks around and is not just limited time. Prices are decent for the quality and quality. The place was a little dirty, again after the lunch rush, they just hadn't had a chance to wipe the tables. Parking is street only and somewhat scarce, I'm sure especially at peak times.

All of the items on the menu looked appealing to me, but the menu needs work. It has items on it without any description of the items. For example, my turkey sub had banana peppers on them. I like banana peppers, but I know a lot of people who don't and can see that being an issue. I ordered online through the business DoorDash partnership, which created a cold interaction with the person working there. He kept telling me to show him that I accepted the order on DoorDash, and asked if it was my first day since I couldn't find the button. I then told him that I ordered the food for myself and his demeanor changed completely and was extremely nice and gave me the order. I have heard of DoorDash people scamming businesses so I understand his caution, but it could have been handled better. It would probably be best if he just asked if it's a carry-out or a DoorDash order. The inside is essentially just a giant kitchen and counter, so carry-out is also the only option. I ordered a turkey sub, coney, and a side of coleslaw. The order was completed in 9 minutes, so keep that in mind if you have a far drive. The food was very good.
