I have been to the Katalina's in Clintonville numerous times before finally going to the one in Bexley. It did not disappoint especially for the Pancake Balls with Sweet & Spicy Bacon. The husband had the burrito and the wife did the Sammy with Avocado. I always get the pancake balls with the pumpkin and apple butter filled inside the ball. Same rules like other Katalina's, do not sit until you ordered your food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I like the water dispenser with a choice of carbonated, chilled, plain water. I love the Mexican bottled Coca-Cola and Boylan's Diet Cola. Their food was delicious too. The location used to be a Boston Market. I will be going back to the Katalina's in Bexley again soon.

A bright and airy diner greeted our search for pancake balls. The rich treats were filled with a delicious dulce de leche filling and sweet and spicy bacon strips. The maple syrup on the side was the perfect companion. We also enjoyed a crispy chicken sandwich and the gigantic burrito.

Katalina's has been one of my favorite restaurants for awhile now for breakfast. I finally got to go to their third location. It is strongly encouraged to order your food prior to grabbing a seat. We arrived at noon on a Sunday morning and parking was totally fine due to the place next door being closed. I think it could get hard to park. I always get my favorite of their Award-Winning Breakfast Tacos. Three local Koki's white corn tortillas filled with North Market Spices-infused housemade chorizo, scrambled cage-free eggs, housemade tomatillo sauce, avocado, queso fresco, organic cilantro, local Snowville crema & fresh pico de gallo. Served with Elote Mexican Street Corn. You should definitely get their Original Pancake Balls for the table. The Nutella ones are AMAZING! You can choose your fillings of Nutella, Dulce de leche, or Katalina's Pumpkin-Apple Butter. I don't know if I would get this for a full meal but something for everyone. This restaurant is bigger than their others. It is a little different that at the other locations, there are drawings everywhere and it's encouraged to sign your name. I would definitely give this restaurant a try if you're looking for a quick breakfast. It is a tad pricey but in my opinion, worth it.

I had the pleasure of hosting my Let's Get Social holiday brunch at Katalina's. We had a variety of choices, from the famous pancake balls to Mexican "French" toast. Brioche battered and toasted with Mexican pure cane sugar and sprinkled with a touch of North Market spices and tamarind sugar. Served with Katalina's original thick-cut Sweet 'N' Spicy bacon or Beeler's bacon and local maple syrup. Classic "Hens-in-a-Basket" Two eggs inside two slices of toasted sourdough, plus Katalina's original thick-cut Sweet 'N' Spicy bacon or Beeler's bacon and Katalina's Purple Craze Hash. @katalinascafe

All my posts are epically long with little to no acknowledgement so I'll keep this one short and sweet: Don't go here but RUN HERE! Everything was FABULOUS! You could see and taste everything was scratch made. It's not like they bought their stuff from Sam's Club Costcos, GFS, or the frozen food section of Krogers, they put hard work and effort in EVERY MORSEL and it shows! Great drinks and customer service as well. 6 Stars if I could've given them

First, the counter service was great: very friendly, offering helpful suggestions and explanations about the menu, and overall felt very welcoming. The prices are quite high, especially considering the size of the dishes. It took a surprisingly long time for our food to come out, even though the order was simple (avocado toast and a chicken sandwich), and the server did apologize for the wait. The sandwich was tasty; we didn't care for the potato side (lukewarm, not a lot of flavor). The avocado toast was good. Cute, clean decor with original art work in and outside. Seating is somewhat limited, and you must order before sitting, so that can be a mirror stressful (they have a nice outdoor patio, so warm weather months might be a better time to check this out).

The service was incredible, very fast. comfortable, clean environment. FOOD WAS AMAZING!! Unique, Mexican inspired dishes with lots of flavor. Loved the purple hash. Drinks were good. Can't wait to come back!!!!

Food is ok, tiny portion sizes and unnecessarily expensive. If you're looking to feel full after a meal this is not the place to go.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.

We ordered our drinks. I got the $13 glass of Malbec and it was huge and delicious. My husband got the Old Fashioned. Drinks were delicious. We got our roll and butter and we ordered the calamari to start. Calamari was so good! It was crispy and hot but not greasy. It was also very tender and not chewy and dipped in the sweet Asian sauce...it was delicious. We chose right! I loved it so much. The waiter also brought out cocktail sauce that had a little kick to it. I ordered the Filet Mignon 8 oz. I had to ask for the price because it sad market price. It was embarrassing but I didn't want a big surprise. Our steak came with 2 sides! I ordered the side salad and the garlic spinach. My husband ordered the Porterhouse 20 oz. With the Ceasar salad and baked potato. We also ordered the Mac and cheese side. The salads were not the best. The Ceasar salad was super fishy. The side salad had way too much blue cheese. We were getting worried about our dinner. Our steaks came out and all our worries went away. Best steak and best sides ever!!! My steak was cooked to perfection. It was so tender and perfectly seasoned. It was the best steak I ever had. My spinach was so good too. I loved the Mac and cheese too! It was the best I've ever had! He was my server on a previous visit and had the same poor attitude then, so unfortunately today's experience was not surprising. Hospitality and customer service matter, especially in the restaurant industry, and a tip is not automatically given it's earned through good service and professionalism. Today, we went in and the man working the bar was once again rude and unwelcoming. When you ask for something, there's no "yes," "no problem," or even basic communication -- just a look. My son ordered a side of bacon with his meal, and they only brought one slice. We asked twice for the second slice and still never received it. At no point did he apologize, acknowledge the mistake, or communicate with us professionally. He eventually removed it from the bill, but the issue was never really the bacon it was the attitude and complete lack of hospitality. The food here is honestly good, which is why I've continued to come back. However, experiences like this make the environment feel uncomfortable and uninviting. I would probably visit much more often if the staff were friendlier, more attentive, and actually made customers feel welcome.
