The Latina sandwich was absolutely delicious with that perfect scratch the roof of your mouth sourdough; that's when you know it's the real deal. The next time I went I ordered the hens in a basket and it was oh so delicious and filling!! I wasn't too crazy about the purple potatoes but I was able to see past it. If you have a sweet tooth like me I would definitely recommend their pancake balls! They're famous for a reason!! They come either filled with Nutella or dulce de leche or you can go halfsies. Popped in here because it was well rated on yelp and really close to where we were at the time. When you walk up it kinda looks like it would be a seafood place. Very colorful and beachy looking. I wish I had gotten the BLT and asked for an added egg. But I read too quickly and thought that's what the Latina sandwich was. I was wrong. No lettuce and the tomato was replaced with tomatillo sauce. It was ok. The sweet and spicy bacon was really good. I guess if I ever try again I will get the actual BLT. Such a cute and kitschy little joint packed with flavor and full of Clintonville energy! The service is always super quick, and they have a delightful little patio on High st :) Parking isn't great, and it's a little pricey for small plates that feel like food truck fare, but I've never had anything there that wasn't delicious! I came to this location back in 2022 and really enjoyed it. But when I visited earlier this month, I was surprised by how expensive all the dishes were and by the average taste of our dishes. We paid $20 for a couple pieces of French toast and bacon, which I know I could have made better at home, frankly. Perhaps we should have gotten another dish, but I couldn't fathom paying $20 for a breakfast taco or "pancake balls". Additionally, the maple cold brew was super bitter. Tried it 2 bites in not what i was thinking. Its okay not what I would order again. 2 out of 5 flavor was just tasted the black pepper.chicken was dry and soggy look like it was fried but then sand bag. Although they have location in Clintonville and Harrison West, I tried the location on North High Street. Finding the parking lot was a little tough since it's tucked away back via a side alley and there was a lot of construction going on, but the restaurant itself was nicely decorated and big! The okonomiyaki (potato pancake) was different from the traditional as it is a Latin leaning, breakfast version with cabbage inside and eggs and bacon bits on top. You can also make this vegetarian by taking out the bacon bites on top. The breakfast tacos were also a solid option, with avocados, cabbage, and eggs, with elote on the side. The pancake balls were definitely my favorite, since it was crunchy on the outside and doughy inside. You could choose from a variety of fillings including nutella, dulce de leche, and organic pumpkin apple butter. I chose the pumpkin apple butter and it was really good! You can also choose a flavor of bacon including sweet and spicy or original. They even have veggie sausages as a vegetarian option! The sweet and spicy bacon was very slightly spicy and was a thick slice that was hefty! As for drinks, they have orange juice, blood orange juice, and cold brews readily available in the coolers. They have seating indoors and outdoors--definitely try their patio during nice weather! Came to this place because it was highly rated and located near our Airbnb in Columbus. Found the restaurant easily enough and there was parking directly behind the restaurant that could be accessed from the alley. The menu had so many great choices! We settled on the eggs in the basket with over easy eggs and the breakfast tacos. Food came quickly, and was hot and fresh. We enjoyed both entrees accompanied by the peaches and scream salsa! We've been back a few more times now & still just one big delicious word: YUM. So far we've had the BLT tacos (OMG. New Instant Addiction; even with the regular bacon, they're a massive YUM), the homemade chorizo tacos (LOVED it, but the spice level was a bit much for me -- NOT Katalina's fault, just personal taste), more pancake balls (I have to constantly remind diabetic-husband that he's only allowed TWO of his order & the rest go home for later), and the breakfast burrito (a huge massive burrito of Delicious). The tacos come with a side of elote (Mexican street corn), which I did try & I'm just not a fan of -- the elote was fresh & well-made & nothing wrong with it, but it's just not to my taste. Difference makes the world go 'round & all that. I just moved to Ohio and found Katalina's through a cool local company called Experience Columbus. The story I saw featured pancake balls, which apparently Guy Fieri has tried. They surpassed my expectations! Nutella was available as a filling, but I went with Dulce de Leche. The food was inexpensive and six sweet pancake balls were almost too much. They were absolutely delicious! They come out piping hot and split nicely when you cut into them. They come with thick cut bacon and I tried the sweet and spicy bacon. Again, the bacon surpassed my expectations! So incredible! I sat outside since the weather was cool and it was a beautiful morning. The tables are completely and lovingly tagged with graffiti - names, dates, jokes, etc. You might be able to see some in my photograph. It was endearing. I spoke with Mike quite a bit. One of my favorite breakfast spots. They have a nice range of breakfast items that can be altered to make them vegetarian and gluten free. This location in particular had a parking lot in the back that it made it super convenient. We came here with a group of 5 of us around 1030 on a Saturday and it was pretty packed. Thankfully the weather was decent enough for us to sit outside on their patio. Both locations have always been busy in my experience. The decor and atmosphere is very lively and fun. I love getting the breakfast tacos here and the pancake balls with their vegetarian sausage. They were able to do half and half nutella and dulce de leche for the pancake balls. They were honestly a lot bigger than I remembered but really satisfied my sweet tooth. Would recommend a visit if you're visiting Columbus! read more

Hands down the BEST breakfast, brunch, lunch spot for a vegetarian and/or vegan. So many options for us to chose from I ordered the blue corn tacos with vegan chorizo and kept the dairy. I was excited to give Katalina's a try this morning for breakfast. It's a super cute place and they're known for their pancake balls (although I didn't get them). The whole menu sounded so good! I ended up getting the BLT tacos with elote and sadly was pretty let down... The spicy/sweet bacon on the tacos were delish but they had hardly any tomato on them and the lettuce looked like spring mix or something? This wasn't even the biggest issue. The shells were SO DRY and hard/crusty. I couldn't tell if they cooked or warmed up! They should cook the tortillas with a tiny amount of oil to soften them. I ended up eating 2 bites of a taco before I dumped the rest of the filling out into a to go box to take home & put in an edible tortilla. Also the coffee was very watery/weak. The elote was surprisingly pretty good. I tried the french toast my wife got and enjoyed that as well. I should have taken my food in to exchange it for something else but I don't like to complain at restaurants unless it's completely inedible. I also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio because it was such a nice sunny morning and the staff was nice. I love places like there where you can pay first and grab drinks yourself so when you're done you can leave instead of waiting for a server to bring a check. Maybe you really have to get the pancake balls? Simply put, I just didn't think the food was very good. I had the migas, which the menu described as having corn chips, green onions, homemade sauce and queso fresco. It sounded amazing. The reality was a sad paper boat filled with scrambled eggs. The BLT had nice thick slices of bacon with greens, luscious tomatoes , Amish Cheddar cheese with a citrus aioli on toasted wheat bread. It made for a great tasting sandwich. After doing my usual research to find the best places for breakfast... Katalinas came at the top of the list multiple times. So I thought I'd give it a try. It had cute outdoor seating out front, making it Covid friendly of course. When we entered there was a big line wrapped around the order kiosk. That's usually a sign that I know a restaurant is popular. Once we arrived to the kiosk, which was in about 10 minutes, the girl at the front was really accommodating in substituting food options. We got the breakfast burritos with vegan chorizo and Nutella pancake balls with vegan sausage. Service was great and super kind. Our waiter made sure that he was appropriately substituting what was needed and I greatly appreciated that. The breakfast tacos was the most popular option. They were healthy, but not as flavorful as I would've thought. Overall they weren't bad, just not AMAZING from all the hype I read about it. Nutella pancake balls were pretty good, but it would be better if it was packed with Nutella in the middle rather than just rubbed on the sides inside. Overall, it was a good experience. The food quality does not change doing a to-go order versus eating at the restaurant which is something that I can't say for a lot of other places. And the pick up window by the counter makes it quick and easy to get in and out. I came here with two friends for lunch, and for one, I instantly struggled to find the access road to the parking lot.
