Sweet Thai Chilled wings
Chante' M.

The best wings and burgers I've ever had!!! You're given huge portions that are easily shareable.

Urban burger and tots
Mark K.

Wanted something quick and handy, and the food halls sometimes are a good way to get that. Lots of options, not too busy at least at off times, spread out across the city nowadays. I've had several different items at other vendors here, and decided to try something new. They have a nice menu of burgers, wings, salads, etc. I went with their signature burger, the Urban burger. Plus some tots because I've had some good ones in town lately. The burger was good. Not great. I mean, it's a pretty good burger. The meat itself was hearty, the bun was good, the toppings were good, although I didn't notice any of the truffle mayo. Sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Combined into a pretty good burger. But I have had better in town, and bigger, and for the size and quality it was not a $14 burger. The tots on the other hand were in massive quantities. Enough to share with two or three people. They also were good, not great. I have had some stellar ones around here lately, and these were darn good, but not amazing. Service was friendly, food took about 15 minutes, and there's a nice seating area there. Parking, and wandering the aisles inside, were a little slow at 1 PM on a weekday but not awful. I'll be back to the hall, to try other stuff.

This is a spot you can not go wrong with. We never heard of this building before, and once we went in and looked around, we thought we'd try this place out. We got the regular mild wings, garlic parmesan wings, and their burger with truffle mayo. The side choice was fries and tater tots. Everything came out amazingly great. Cooked perfectly medium, wings were a huge hit. Can't wait to come back and try more.

The Urban Gourmet might just be the best food spot in Columbus. At most places, I have a regular order that I get every time I go there. Not here. Literally everything on the menu is a home run. Of course they offer the best burgers and wings in the city, but they also have some of the best pasta dishes in town at amazing prices. The Salmon Salad is out of this world. You really can't go wrong with anything from them. Not only is the food great and consistent, the service is always fast and friendly, they really go above and beyond to make sure each customer has a great experience!

Cheesesteak and fries
Chris H.

I got the cheesesteak with American cheese instead of Swiss and it was pretty good. I'd say two things that made it not great to me. I think the pickled items (jalapeño and banana peppers) overwhelmed the steak so I would eliminate the banana peppers next time. I also felt like the steak wasn't seasoned, it really needed some salt and the bread was toasted which was mostly great but a couple of spots were a bit burnt. Service was fast and friendly and they made it right to order. The fries were just normal fries but they were excellent. I would definitely try it again as there were a few things on the menu I was considering that all seemed good.

We were out on a bike ride and decided to stop into the East Market to refill our water bottles. Upon entering we noticed that the menu for the restaurant was scrolling on two large monitors over the bar. What drew our attention were the prices. NO WAY could ANYONE expect a quality burger and fries for $13! Add to that were the wings... right around $13 also. Surely wings at that price would be miniscule and/or bony. Surely a cheeseburger at that price would be tiny, dry and generic. We were very very wrong. Urban Gourmet served up one of the best meals we have had this year. The fresh burger was cooked to perfection and the hand cut fries were crispy outside, yet creamy inside. I had opted for wings and it was a great decision. While there are numerous dry rub and sauces to choose from, I chose a dry jerk coating on half my order (5 wings) and a unique wet sauce named "slap your mama". Visually the sauce LOOKED like a mustard based sauce but I detected NO MUSTARD at all. The best way to describe it is a cross between a BBQ sauce and a mild ranch dressing. Whatever it is... IT IS GOOD!!! Urban Gourmet is a true gem and the star of the East Market. You can certainly pay more for great burgers and wings but why would you? Do yourself a favor and get over to the Urban Gourmet! You'll be glad you did!

Urban Gourmet has some of the best food I've had in Columbus, from flavorful sandwiches to a pasta dish I dream about, calling this place JUST a burger and wing joint is a disservice to the incredible crew and food they serve. The crew makes this place feel personal and homey, almost deceptively nice lol. This comes from the crew that opened up Speck, with the same incredible noodles and flavors of one of Columbus's best restaurants. You are doing yourself a disservice by not visiting this place. Get you some dinner & enjoy the ride.

Grilled hot buffalo wings $13

The wings are a good size and huge portion. I ordered the grilled hot buffalo. Not killer spicy but hot enough. They are a good value in my opinion. Good drummy to flapper ratio ...

Great Rubin! Tons of meat and fast service

Ordered a Rubin. So good! One of the best I have had in a long while. Lots of meat! Service was quick too

This place knows how to make your taste buds do the happy dance. We didn't have to wait long for our food, which was a blessing because I was *hangry*. When the food came out, it was hot, fresh, and basically screamed, "Eat me now!" My son went for the mushroom Swiss burger, which he devoured like he hadn't eaten in weeks. I opted for the classic cheeseburger with fries -- simple, juicy, and absolutely perfect. Oh, and as if one meal wasn't enough, my son also ordered a chicken sandwich. He declared it "the best ever," which is saying something because this kid is a chicken sandwich connoisseur. The television entertainment was the Cartoon Network, which made me know this was a special place. Preston's, you've earned a special place in our hearts (and stomachs). If you're looking for a spot that serves up deliciousness with zero pretension, this is it. Highly recommend -- just don't forget to bring stretchy pants!

The fries were pretty ordinary, but crisp and hot. The standout was the biscuits that I ordered to see what they were like. The were unique and very good. They were just a little sweet. Good texture /mouth feel. I wonder if the biscuits would make a good burger bun... maybe too sweet? The place was very clean and inviting. The qr code ordering was handy, but a bit impersonal. The server was nice and did offer to take my order personally. Not sure if I'll come back on my own initiative (not close to my house). But if a friend said let's have lunch there I'd be happy to return.

Kind, personable, and genuinely warm exactly the kind of energy that makes a meal feel like more than just a meal. The burger was everything it needed to be no gimmicks, no shortcuts, just a beautifully made sandwich that delivers on every level. The fries? Equally on point. Honestly, I have no notes. None. The beauty of a Saturday afternoon is there were sports on and TVs hanging on the walls. That made the wait easy. Boy do they know their stuff bc it was pretty much one hour to the minute when they called our name and escorted us to our table. We sat in a booth and took in on the collection of various items around the bar that have been gathered through the years and had some laughs at some of it. It was almost like a fun game of eye spy! They came to take our drink order and by the time they returned we were ready to order. We chatted for a bit and our food came out in what seemed to be a good time. I ordered the Patty Melt with onion straws. My husband got the Thurman Burger. We were surprised by its size when they came carrying it out to our table. Believe it or not he ate every single bite. Said it was delicious. Mine was equally as delicious. Maybe not quite as big but that was fine by me. I actually quite enjoyed that they served the 1000 island on the side. It made it way easier to eat. The cheese was nice and gooey. Just perfect. The onion straws were good too. I shared those with my husband. They were actually just as good on their own as they were dipped in any kind of sauce. That's big coming from me bc I love dipping! We got a box for our leftovers and headed out happy with a great first time experience here.

Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍
