    Gouda Morning
    Jocelyn H.

I was excited to try the Rutherford Cafe in Delaware but my sandwich was nothing special compared to what you could get at other breakfast spots. I came to try a breakfast sandwich and got the Gouda Morning. I really enjoyed the sourdough bread, but felt like I could make the sandwich just the same at home. It was obvious that the ingredients are fresh and the sandwiches are also made fresh, which is what made it taste homemade and simple. I wish they added some sort of creamy sauce to add extra flavor since it tasted too plain for me. The interior is cute and cozy with about 6 tables for people to sit. I think it'd be a great place to sit and study or chat with your friends/family.

Very cool place... We noticed this sandwich shop the other day and decided to try them out. The decor is nice - not fancy but it does not scream chain either. It is comfortable. The staff was fantastic and super friendly. The prices were good for the quality of the food. They serve Coke products. I had their Ruthaford sandwich which is their version of a Ruben which I really enjoyed. Wifie had a salad which was good. I think this place is worthy of a visit.

    Chicken Pesto side view

We stopped on a road trip and honestly we were blown away by the absolute deliciousness of the food! I got the half Rutherford on sourdough and it was perfect!!! The Pastrami was delicious (and it's my fave) and had incredible sauce. My husband got the chicken pesto and it was also amazing. Great choice of drinks and chips. Fast friendly service. Cute historic downtown. You won't be disappointed

    Cheese sandwich for my daughter
    Valerie C.

All you're missing in life is the Smokey Sandusky sandwich! My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese while the adults put away three Smokey Sandusky sandwiches! Enjoyed every bite. If you haven't had Lebanon bologna before this would be a whole new experience. We love to buy it in Amish country to use on charcuterie boards at home. The horseradish pickles don't taste much like horseradish, they are just so good. The cafe is small so you might have to wait for a seat, but it's Order-at-the-counter fare!

    Breakfast bagels are incredible!

Great new breakfast and coffee place. Beautiful bagel sandwiches that I love to eat. Be sure to try this place out. Friendly staff and fresh made breakfast and coffees.

    Italian Hero Sandwich

I came here to try the Italian Hero sandwich based on an article recommendation that I saw in the Cityscene magazine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was very nice and welcoming ambiance although I took my sandwich to go. The sandwich was very tasty. I think next time I would either eat it in there or ask for the sauce on the side because it made the bread a little soggy by the time I got home with it. They also offer a variety of chips and drinks- I had the Peach Ice Tea from Harney & Sons. I would definitely recommend this place and come back to try other things on the menu.

Food is amazing, service is always friendly and fast! All the meat and cheese comes from the deli right behind them that they also own.

Sandwiches, were great, but for the price the portion sizes were way too small. They should lower their price or give you more for the money

The pickles were unlike any I've had before- like the thing between a pickle and a cucumber. The wait staff were nice! The volume was pretty standard for a bar. Only gave it a four because the food can be inconsistent between visits. (Last time the fries were way too salty and this time they were perfect- also the bread)

My wife had the Mexican salad with chicken and she said that it was awesome. I also tried two of their beers and a cider. First I had the Delicious which is a light wheat beer, very refreshing. Second was the Webrewedabeertogether which was a Bock, great tasting dark beer and then I tried the Eat a peach cider, also light and refreshing.

"Nightmare on Pep Street... and I Loved Every Bite"…read more Stopped in after a lab appointment, running on fumes and bad decisions, so I figured pizza was the cure. Loiee G's did not disappoint. I grabbed a Medium "Nightmare on Pep Street" -- garlic butter, red sauce, three types of pepperoni -- basically the holy trinity of flavor. I inhaled it like I was auditioning for a competitive eating show. While still chewing, I ordered an 18-inch Meat Pizza for the tribe back home (because sharing is caring, apparently). This is proper NY-style pizza: thin, crispy, and foldable -- the kind of slice that makes you feel like you should be yelling "Yo!" on a Brooklyn sidewalk. The topping ratio was chef's kiss -- not overloaded like most C-Bus pies that think they're competing in a topping-weight contest. Everyone at home gave the thumbs up, proving I can, in fact, make good life choices when hungry. Bonus points: the pinball collection is serious. My buddy (resident pinball nerd) told me to check out the Godzilla and John Wick machines -- because nothing pairs better with pizza than saving Tokyo or racking up a kill streak in neon lights. Verdict: Loiee G's is legit. Great crust, perfect ratios, and enough pinball nostalgia to make you forget your cholesterol results.

After the Delaware Farmer's Market, my wife and I wanted to rewind time at this old school diner…read more Leave it to us to go to a place called Hamburger Inn and not get a hamburger. And I think that might have been our downfall. We went the breakfast route and started with a Cinnamon roll made right on the griddle. It created this crispy char that gave the roll more of a funnel cake texture. Unique, and the icing definitely enhances it (as it does most cinnamon rolls). Their special breakfast sandwich, "The Morning Wake-up" touts a "2x the size English Muffin" and they were not lying. This sandwich had cheese, multiple meats and vegetables, and I needed to take half of it home due to sheer size. What it didn't have... sauce. What it needed... sauce, syrup, aioli or something to lubricate all of those toppings. The breakfast potatoes on the side needed salt/seasoning/sauce, too, to be more to my liking. It was a similar experience with my wife's Reuben and the fries that she ordered; the sandwich had its moments, but it made me wish one of us got a burger like most of the other patrons.
