Although it's been a long while seen somethung on their seasonal menu has blown me away, First Watch is always a good option. Lots of variety on the menu. I appreciate they added cocktails to the menu this year. You get your own mini split when you order the mimosa. Gets are always high quality from Shagbark. Spiced donuts were ok. Nice softness to them. Not sure what was gingerbread about them. The dough could definitely use some spicing up. I'm not usually the biscuits & gravy type...furthest from it. I just can't stop ordering it here! The gravy is soo peppery it has got a kick and lots of flavor. I also like the Turkey sausage on here to lighten it up (promise you can't tell it's not). read more

Had planned to visit Bob Evan's but when I drove thru there were almost no cars so I decided to try First Watch across the street. Parking lot was full but upon entering the restaurant I was seated immediately. What a Treat! Great Coffee. Peyton my server couldn't have been sweeter. This place can't seem to cook eggs right. The smoked salmon frittata was overcooked and dry as a sponge. It also had way too many onions (menu said it's supposed to have shallots, but I beg to differ) and hardly any tomatoes. The greens it came with were way underdressed, like hardly a splash of dressing for the amount of greens. The veggie omelet was no better. The eggs tasted of an overcooked rubbery consistency similar to the microwaved 'omelettes' you get at a free hotel breakfast buffet. Also $3 for a side of tiny avocado is absurd. The ricotta pancakes were decent, although they came out before everything else and we had to ask and wait a while on syrup, which a server should already know to bring out with pancakes. This was my first time here I always wanted to try this place because everytime I come in this area they always have a nice crowd. The staff was friendly as we were seated quicker than I thought by the way the parking lot looked. The food was great I feel like the ingredients were fresh and food was well prepared. Pleasant staff. Ambiance is lively. Husband and I ordered breakfast. Omelette for him. Frittata for me. Potatoes and toast also accompanied these. Seasoned potatoes are very salty. Could only manage a few bites . My ciabatta toast was also salty. Frittata was just- not good. Not terrible. I cannot believe we stumbled upon this gem. How anyone wouldn't give this 5 starts is something I cannot explain. The staff was kind and attentive. The restaurant was clean and had really nice decor. The food came out quickly and correct. This may seem odd to you but what stood out the most was the fact that the ketchup and Cholula bottles were not crusted up and sticky. This attention to detail goes a long way with me (see pics) Abby thank you so much for such great hospitality. Kids were in town and we went over to First Watch. Was seated within 5 minutes. Waiter came by and got drink orders. He delivered them and then disappeared for 15 MINUTES!!! Not acceptable at all. I ordered eggs over medium, home fries and a biscuit with turkey sausage gravy over it. The eggs were cooked a perfect over medium. Home fries were great. The biscuit had an extra floury taste to it. Not sure why. Gravy was extra delicious. Yummmy. First Watch's indoor is built to modern standards which amplifies the noise. You can barely hear the person next to you. read more

As someone who loves to brunch I typically am more prone to diners and small businesses but I must say I was impressed by First Watch. I really appreciated the large menu and healthy breakfast items. They even have fresh pressed juice which is amazing! I had the Morning Meditation and it's turmeric, beet, ginger, and a few other ingredients I can't remember but it's so good! They also have a carrot and a kale combination that looked decent too. My dad had the truffle hash and it was probably my favorite. My mom had the BLT which was also phenomenal. My husband got a veggie sandwich that he really liked as well. I got the turkey power wrap and I was surprised how delicious it was considering it's pretty healthy! Our family split the pumpkin donuts too! Great breakfast and awesome service! Will definitely be back! read more

I went on a Sunday at 10:30am during a torrential downpour of rain for brunch with my friends. Wow, it was busy!!!! I was not able to find any parking in the lot and then noticed that people were parking on the side of the lot across from the gas station. They do not take reservations, so try to go early or use they "get in line" option from their website. I remember going to First Watch when in high school to get pancakes, but I haven't been there in a while, so tried something different. I got the seasonal summer dish, elote Mexican street corn hash. I was a bit disappointed with the dish as it had a lack of actual corn. The server was really nice to substitute the chorizo with chicken though. I didn't find too much of the elote flavor throughout the meal. I was going to get the watermelon wake-up drink, but ended getting the morning meditation as it was the server's favorite. It was a mix of orange juice, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet. I only got the orange flavor mostly out if the drink, so that was a little underwhelming. Overall, the meal was warm, the drink was fresh and had a nice time. A bit overpriced in my opinion and they should definitely have more parking spaces. read more

I had a really bad experience at First Watch on Monday and I'm telling you right now it all has to do with staffing. That's with that no-fault my waiter whatsoever because I feel like he was the only one working. My waiter was running around the restaurant checking people out, taking orders, delivering food, and running wild because it was so short staffed. It took 30 minutes for him to even come over and take our order it was that busy. I just want to express how understaffed this location is and it's something that you need to keep in mind if you want to come here. After an hour of waiting for our food, we finally got our food and it turns out my friends order was incorrect but don't worry the kitchen manager took care of our entire meal which was ridiculously amazing. The food is great but again just wanted to give everybody advice and let them know they will be waiting for a little bit but it's worth it in the end read more

We love First Watch and have never had a bad meal there. I usually get the 1/2 salad and sandwich but decided to be a little adventurous and try the French toast. I love all the fresh fruit piled on top. It's was overall very delicious. My husband got the egg sandwich and it also did not disappoint. We will be back! read more

The menu is awesome. My waitress was awesome. The food was awesome. The bill was fair. When it came time to pay the bill and leave the manager (who I only saw walk around the entire time I was there) was sitting at a table mucking it up-acted like he didn't set it standing there, and standing there and standing there. My meal was fantastic. Eggs perfect, biscuit and gravy really good, potatoes good and portion just fine. Her quinoa bowl "I loved it". The waitress was very attentive without being overbearing, had everything right on time. It was a really good experience until we became invisible up the jerk manager. I almost said something to him but the waitress saw us standing there waiting and came running-just how good she was. The bill was more than fair for the food we got. Would we go back? Absolutely. Will I stand there while the manager ignores me while trying to pay the bill? No. If he does that crap again, I promise you it will be the very last time that rude so& so does that to anybody. I'll start with the one negative...the price. For what it is I think it's kind of pricey (especially when you add in coffee and orang juice!) could end up being over $20 a person. I have been to other First Watch locations and this one lives up to the chain's standards. It's well decorated and very clean. The parking lot behind it is easy to get into off of State Street or Hubert Village (West bound only unless you do a legal U-turn). We stopped by just before 8am on a Saturday. It was fairly empty but that might be due to the fact it's cold out and it's only been open for a little under 3 weeks. I didn't know it was open until a friend of mine mentioned seeing people in the parking lot last weekend. The staff were very friendly and seated us quickly. The waiter stopped by, poured us coffee and took our orders. I had one of the specials, Carnitas breakfast burrito, and my wife had the avocado toast. Both looked good and tasted great. The burrito had a good variety of textures and tastes, including some spice from the tomatillo salsa, Smoky from the potatoes and such. This might be a nice place for me to duck into on a sleepy Saturday morning when I want to eat quick and then get on with errands. Definitely a place to go back to. read more

I have Celiac Disease so eating gluten free is critical for me. This is the BEST place. They always are very attentive to my allergy and the wait staff is so lovely. I've never had a negative reaction here, and the food is always excellent. If you want a wonderful meal in a nice environment for a reasonable price, look no further! I think some of the negative reviews come from people who have come at peak hours where wait and service can be lengthy. Solid food, great options for kids at a reasonable price. Start with the pros: 1. My server Taylor was great and super friendly. 2. My one year old and I had the entire restaurant to ourselves an hour after they opened which maybe should have been a sign? 3. The greens that came with the eggs Benedict, the dressing on it was really good and they served plenty as a side. 4. Crispy potatoes were really good Cons: 1. The prices are really high for what you get 2. A side of fruit (think tiny fruit cup) is $4.99. Why? 3. The eggs Benedict failed at the very basic things it should have: runny eggs and a solid hollandaise. The eggs were fully cooked and the hollandaise was straight lemon juice. 4. I paid the same for a breakfast here that I did for a lunch at Lindey's in German Village. How does that happen? For reference I got a cup of soup, entree at Lindey's. I got the eggs benedict, small fruit cup, side of potatoes, cup of coffee and a cup of juice. Those should not be the same price or even close. read more

Always great there, we got in at a reasonable time on Sunday around 1030am and got a table for 5 immediately - Kyle provided the service and did a great job, even up selling a couple of iced chocolate coffees! The food is always great there, I had the trifecta made some upgrades and enjoyed my brunch. There was a surprising lack of people there, and although most tables were in use, it was not crazy busy like our previous visits. The service still is great, but the kitchen.....wilted salad greens, borderline slimy, scrambled eggs when ordered over easy. The final problem, granddaughter wanted ham and cheese sandwich, on bread, not grilled or toasted, just bread, ham and cheese, with tomato basil soup. She got a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a salad. Sent it back, they took the grilled ham and cheese, took it out of the grilled bread, put it between two slices of bread. We always come to this First Watch! This location is always busy but they pull through with service. I've always received excellent communication about wait times and how long food will take to come out. Once we came and it took an extremely long time for the food to get out but our server told us from the start that the cooks were behind with orders. I really appreciated them being clear about the situation. When the food finally came out, everything was excellent. I love coming and trying out their seasonal items.
