Great vibes, disappointing service and execution Came here for a company dinner after a long, rough day, and I was really hoping Kitchen Social would be the reset we needed. The ambiance was definitely vibey and perfect for socializing, with a lively atmosphere that fit our group of 13 well. Unfortunately, everything after the hostess stand went downhill on the service side. Our server felt disengaged from the start and rarely checked on us. It was hard to tell if we'd said something wrong or if he was just having an off night, but even after asking other staff members to send him over, he never came back to check on our table. With automatic gratuity already added for a large party, it was disappointing to experience such minimal attention and care. What I had: * Mediterranean Salmon (shared): The portion split felt more like 75/25 than an even share, which was a little odd for something asked to be split. The salmon itself was decent, but the hummus quickly overpowered the dish if you mixed everything together. * Teriyaki Ribeye: I requested medium rare and received a steak well past well-done, dry enough that it was basically inedible. It almost tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly cooked. 1st time visiting an Ohio location and it did not regret. It was a crowded Friday night but we were able to get seated within 10 minutes without a reservation. As always, asked for recommendations from our server. Shout out to Jett because everything he recommended I loved! Favorite part of the meal was the short rib and carrot hummus and the cheddar scallion biscuits. I liked it so much I actually thought of ordering some to go. Menu has so many options to choose from, it caters to many types of palettes. My bevy, the Blackberry Cooler, was refreshing. My friend got the non alcoholic version and said it was too tart. Came back for a round two after 4 years. This time I brought my husband and we met up with my Bestie for dinner. It's definitely a happening place. Reservations are highly recommended. They do seat you as quick as they can. But there may be a wait. Which is expected for a Friday evening. We sat on their patio. Nice ambiance. And not as loud as it is on the inside. We started out with the biscuits and the Queso and Guacamole with tortilla chips. This is where the three stars come in. The Queso is not hot. Not sure if that is the thing. But it was not even warm. Who eats cold Queso? We asked for hot Queso twice. And nope.... It was never hot. I think the second time it was colder than the first time. Bummer. Then for our entrees. Hubby had Fish and Chips. He liked it. My friend and I both got the Tempura Shrimp Bowl. She added Salmon to hers. Again.... Not hot. Not even warm. Was told that typically it is not made hot. Kind of odd. But ok. An honest review. Love everything about this place except...the parking! Never has parking nearby because it is always packed. This time around I felt like the service was great until we paid and tipped, then no one ever stopped by again to refill drinks. Service and ambience are both amazing! I really liked the covered outdoor seating with fire. The thing that kept me coming back every night of my work trip though was the food! The food is phenomenal and you can tell the chef is very intentional with the flavor combinations. I wanted to eat items on the healthier side and really enjoyed their salmon dishes. I was there a couple nights ago on a business dinner. This place was very busy to say the least. They are located on this main road of Lyra drive and they have plenty of parking space in the front. Their customer service is amazing. They explain the menu very well and they also give some chef's favorites. Almost any food in that menu can be made vegetarian or vegan. The taste was delicious. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Reservations are a must because they are literally busy from open to close. The biscuits came highly recommended and they did not disappoint, nor did the shrimp. The guacamole and quest did were okay. My main dish, the teriyaki steak was delicious. The flavor was on point however the cook was off. I asked for medium but on side of the steak (the thinner side) was medium well and as I moved to the thicker part it was medium, not a big issue. I met two friends for a Saturday lunch not too long ago. It was my first time here, but one of these friends knew how good it is, and how busy it gets. My friends and I went on a Friday evening and it was packed. It took us about 40 minutes to get a table. Staff was friendly. Waiter was excellent and answered all our questions and made helpful recommendations. I ordered the cheddar biscuits which were phenomenal. I ordered chicken katsu which was exceptional but portion was not large. I ended it and was wanting more food. I had a recommended cocktail which was called "Cactus" something with watermelon. It did not taste good in my opinion. I tried my friends fish n' chips and the fish was heavily breaded but flavors were great. My other friend enjoyed her Caesar salad. If you are neurodivergent and/or one who struggles with noise, be cautious when visiting. It is extremely loud and crowded. Too loud to even carry on a conversation which was not pleasant. We were able to grab two seats at their massive wraparound bar made of solid nickel and space enough o talk loudly while using all the grand gestures necessary to enjoy. The decor is that of 'coastal' yet on an epic way, oversized baskets, globes and even portal like mirrors made me feel that we were beachside and as if there should be a breeze. This cornbread was godly in its composition and apparently both cheddar and Honey were used in making its buttery skillet sizzle. The Korean cauliflower was amazing and big in portion and sweet in taste. I opted for the harvest salad as it has everything I need in this world ; sweet potatoes, walnuts and a light dressing. Great location with easy parking. I had the privilege of visiting this location while traveling for work in Columbus, Ohio. I was very impressed by the fact that I was able to be seated relatively quickly and received prompt attention from my server. My server was very helpful and she recommended a biscuit appetizer that a lot of people love , unfortunately I'm not one of those people . The restaurant was very gracious and took back the appetizer that was recommended and I was able to get another that I found far more to my liking.
