Great vibes, disappointing service and execution Came here for a company dinner after a long, rough day, and I was really hoping Kitchen Social would be the reset we needed. The ambiance was definitely vibey and perfect for socializing, with a lively atmosphere that fit our group of 13 well. Unfortunately, everything after the hostess stand went downhill on the service side. Our server felt disengaged from the start and rarely checked on us. It was hard to tell if we'd said something wrong or if he was just having an off night, but even after asking other staff members to send him over, he never came back to check on our table. With automatic gratuity already added for a large party, it was disappointing to experience such minimal attention and care. What I had: * Mediterranean Salmon (shared): The portion split felt more like 75/25 than an even share, which was a little odd for something asked to be split. The salmon itself was decent, but the hummus quickly overpowered the dish if you mixed everything together. * Teriyaki Ribeye: I requested medium rare and received a steak well past well-done, dry enough that it was basically inedible. It almost tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly cooked. Since our server never checked in, I had to flag someone else down to get it replaced, and the remake took about 15 minutes to arrive--even though the cut was thin and already marinated. * Old Fashioned: The cocktail came out quite watered down, with very little depth of flavor. I would've asked for it to be remade, but again, our server was nowhere to be found. The bar program also felt surprisingly limited for a place that leans into a social, cocktail-forward vibe, which added to the letdown. Between the uneven service, lack of follow-through, and several misses on the food and drinks, it's hard to say I'd rush back--especially when there are so many other strong options in Columbus.
1st time visiting an Ohio location and it did not regret. It was a crowded Friday night but we were able to get seated within 10 minutes without a reservation. As always, asked for recommendations from our server. Shout out to Jett because everything he recommended I loved! Favorite part of the meal was the short rib and carrot hummus and the cheddar scallion biscuits. I liked it so much I actually thought of ordering some to go. Menu has so many options to choose from, it caters to many types of palettes. My bevy, the Blackberry Cooler, was refreshing. My friend got the non alcoholic version and said it was too tart. Only disappointment of the night was they ran out of the brown butter cake. The banana caramel cake was still a good substitution. Plenty of parking but do recommend to make a reservation to avoid long wait times. Cant wait to come back and enjoy a happy hour.
Kitchen social never disappoints! I love how the menu is alway changing to match seasonal items. The food is always so fresh and service is great!
We visited Kitchen Social around 3:00 PM for a late lunch to celebrate my son's birthday, as it had been a while since our last visit. Since the lunch rush was over and the restaurant was clearing out, we expected the kitchen to have more time to focus on quality. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.While the main entrees were decent, the sides were terrible. The french fries looked like they had been sitting out for a long time, the chips were stale, and my crispy chicken taco was served with what looked like a literal head of cabbage. It was a major bummer for a birthday celebration, and the food was disappointing enough that we decided to skip ordering dessert entirely. We won't be rushing back anytime soon.
An honest review. Love everything about this place except...the parking! Never has parking nearby because it is always packed. This time around I felt like the service was great until we paid and tipped, then no one ever stopped by again to refill drinks. If you want to linger and talk over dessert, I feel like we would have gotten better service if we would have waited to pay. Food was really good! Portions are on the smaller side but I feel like prices were reasonable. Manager stopped by a few times to check on us and engage, he did a great job!

Came back for a round two after 4 years. This time I brought my husband and we met up with my Bestie for dinner. It's definitely a happening place. Reservations are highly recommended. They do seat you as quick as they can. But there may be a wait. Which is expected for a Friday evening. We sat on their patio. Nice ambiance. And not as loud as it is on the inside. We started out with the biscuits and the Queso and Guacamole with tortilla chips. This is where the three stars come in. The Queso is not hot. Not sure if that is the thing. But it was not even warm. Who eats cold Queso? We asked for hot Queso twice. And nope.... It was never hot. I think the second time it was colder than the first time. Bummer. Then for our entrees. Hubby had Fish and Chips. He liked it. My friend and I both got the Tempura Shrimp Bowl. She added Salmon to hers. Again.... Not hot. Not even warm. Was told that typically it is not made hot. Kind of odd. But ok. The server did take my friends back to the kitchen to have it heated up. I ate mine as is. It's really tasty. I enjoyed it. Would probably get it again. Giving 3 stars sucks. But it is what it is. Will go back again when I am in town. Overall it's a great place. Oh..... the drink I had was the Social Sunshine. Delicious!!!
A wonderful lunch for two- The Mediterranean salad and the Tuna Bowl, along with a delicious Mule and Cherry Bourbon. The service was great and the atmosphere outside was just what we needed!

Service and ambience are both amazing! I really liked the covered outdoor seating with fire. The thing that kept me coming back every night of my work trip though was the food! The food is phenomenal and you can tell the chef is very intentional with the flavor combinations. I wanted to eat items on the healthier side and really enjoyed their salmon dishes. On a visit I came with a coworker I tried the biscuits which were amazing. Definitely recommend coming here to try out some dishes!
This was our second visit to Kitchen Social. We had a trip to Daytona for the weekend and decided to make a stop in Columbus just to eat here again. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Reservations are a must because they are literally busy from open to close. They have patio that opens from the bar and the dining room has a beautiful vibe to it with high ceilings. It does get pretty loud in there though. This time around we ordered the cheddar scallion biscuits because I can't stop thinking about them. Super crispy on the top with a hint of sugar. Ahhh-mazing. We also had the chicken katsu and the salmon. I would def order the salmon again and my husband loooved the katsu. They also have a brunch menu on Sundays. Can't wait to go back!
I visited from Arizona, with 5 co-workers. We arrived around 4:30p and were seated immediately and drink orders were taken. We ordered a few appetizers for the table. The biscuits came highly recommended and they did not disappoint, nor did the shrimp. The guacamole and quest did were okay. My main dish, the teriyaki steak was delicious. The flavor was on point however the cook was off. I asked for medium but on side of the steak (the thinner side) was medium well and as I moved to the thicker part it was medium, not a big issue. The veggies that accompanied the steak was good was well. The place was packed though, seems like it's a popular spot. It wasn't noisy though.
I really enjoyed the food it is delicious. The service is pleasant; I don't usually eat much, but on this occasion, I was able to enjoy absolutely everything.

My friends and I went on a Friday evening and it was packed. It took us about 40 minutes to get a table. Staff was friendly. Waiter was excellent and answered all our questions and made helpful recommendations. I ordered the cheddar biscuits which were phenomenal. I ordered chicken katsu which was exceptional but portion was not large. I ended it and was wanting more food. I had a recommended cocktail which was called "Cactus" something with watermelon. It did not taste good in my opinion. I tried my friends fish n' chips and the fish was heavily breaded but flavors were great. My other friend enjoyed her Caesar salad. If you are neurodivergent and/or one who struggles with noise, be cautious when visiting. It is extremely loud and crowded. Too loud to even carry on a conversation which was not pleasant. You could not here each other or the waiter very well. This restaurant has open floor plans/industrial open ceiling plan and everything echos. Overall food was great, staff were excellent , atmosphere not so great. I will not be returning due to the noise and my friends said it would definitely deter them from returning. read more

First time at Kitchen Social this past. Sunday and everything was exceptional! We sat at the bar on the enclosed patio side. It was nice and cozy with the fire pit. The whole menu looked amazing, which made it very hard to choose what to order! Our bartenders were awesome with helping us with thier recommendations. We had a few cocktails and they were very good. We decided on the mushroom pizza and the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. Yummy to al! So so good. We will definitely be back to try more! Shout out to Jace and the other young lady that took great care of us! Y'all rock! read more

Kitchen Social is the perfect location for a date night, a family gathering, or a dinner alone. There is indoor and covered outdoor seating and the interior has a lively atmosphere. I would recommend making a reservation since the restaurant always seems to be busy! We ordered the blackened shrimp capellini and chicken meatball Mediterranean which were both delicious and adequate portion sizes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, 5/5! read more

The food was tasty and we enjoyed both of our entrees. My crispy shrimp got a little soggy after a bit of time but it is still good. The service was good, it was very busy and very loud as well. We got to sit on the enclosed patio it was nice and warm! read more

The food was delicious and was pretty comforting even though you were in a noisy restaurant. Our waiter was amazing, she didn't tell us her name but she was super helpful and fun. The biscuits were the best piece of bread I've ever had. The honey butter just made them that much better. Also the table was great and we had a direct view of the kitchen and could watch the chefs making the food. Anyways, would recommend! read more
It was our first day in Columbus and we stumbled upon this place. Bright and airy with an upbeat vibe. Our server was very proud that they'd won Best Restaurant again. Her name is Denise and she was a lot of fun. We shared the biscuits (pretty darn good stuff), I had the Thai Chicken Bowl and my friend had the Tempura Shrimp Bowl. Both were highly (a little over the top) seasoned. We asked them to put the sauce on the side. Good move. ps we had both as leftovers the next day! Quite tasty. And let me just say, do not leave there without trying the Brown Butter Cake. That thing is decadent. We loved it!!!! read more

We started with the biscuits and lobster bisque (chefs kiss) and moved on to the street corn nachos and Szechuan noodles. Every single thing we would order again. We sat at the bar and all of the bar tenders had an excellent vibe and waited on us promptly. None of our beverages from cocktails to water glasses were ever neglected. read more

This place is poppin' and rightfully so. After hearing it was listed as one of Columbus's top restaurants on Yelp, I've had my eye on it for quite some time. We stopped in for lunch during a weekday and it was extremely busy. Luckily, after waiting for a bit we were able to snag seats at the bar and forgo the waitlist. Menu has a nice variety, without being overwhelming. Full service bar as well. We started with the cheddar and scallion biscuits. They were quite literally the best biscuits I've ever had. They are topped with honey butter and almost melt in your mouth, highly recommend. For entrees, we got the grilled chicken tacos and crispy chicken sandwich. The tacos have grilled chicken, candied bacon, cabbage slaw and charred corn topped with chipotle crema with a side of chips and homemade salsa. The sandwich has a huge fried chicken breast, pickled onions and jalapenos with gochujang aioli. Both were really good. The salsa had a much bigger kick than I was expecting, and the chicken sandwich was slightly spicy as well given the jalapenos and gochujang aoli. Overall, Kitchen Social lived up to the hype. However, I would highly recommend getting a reservation or going at an off-peak time. That said, they appeared to have plenty of wait staff and the kitchen didn't seem to miss a beat. Parking was also a bit of a challenge given its location essentially in the first floor of an apartment complex with other restaurants left and right, but at least it's free. read more

What an amazing brunch experience. I tried their brunch menu for the first time, and it was so good. There was a wait time for us to be seated, and it took around 40 mins to get a table on Saturday. The cheddar biscuits were perfectly buttery and sweet The creme brule french toast was heavenly. It's one of the best brunch places I have been so far. This restaurant was voted the No 1 in 2023 and I can vouch for it as the taste and service was amazing. read more
Visited the restaurant on a weekday night with friends. Reservation was needed as the restaurant is very popular. The popularity is earned. The food and service are excellent. Started off my order with a beer. They offer a mix of common domestic beers and local craft beers. We started our food order with the cheddar and scallion biscuits. I cannot recommend this dish enough. It is a must get. For my main dish I got the burger with a salad. The salad was very fresh. The dressing had a great flavor. The burger also was well made. The lerruce, tomato, pickles and sauce paired well with the burger. We finished off the night with the Butterscotch Budino. This dish includes butterscotch pudding, pretzel crunch and mascarpone cream. I love the sweet and salty flavors. This dish also gets a high recommendation from me. Lastly our server was great. We had such a great dinner at Kitchen Social! Our server was very nice, and answered all our questions since it was our first time there. We started with the biscuits and they were divine! We split a wedge and it was also perfect. My husband got the fish and chips and loved them, and I got the salmon and it was also very good. I was sad because I came specifically for the miso cod I had seen in previous reviews, and it wasn't on the menu anymore. I would have preferred to order that, but it's ok! We finished with the chocolate cake and tres leches. Both desserts were fine, but we wouldn't order them again. Everything else was fantastic. (We did order coffee with our dessert, but we never got them. They weren't on our bill, so I guess she forgot about them. No biggie.) We loved the whole vibe of the restaurant. I was in town for work and decided to grab some food to go. The restaurant was busy when I arrived and I was surprised to see my order was ready! It only took 15 minutes from the time I placed the online order until the food was in my hands. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious! The Korean BBQ fried cauliflower came with the BBQ sauce and yum yum on the side since it was carry out. Both sauces together were so good. The BBQ sauce had the right amount of sweetness and the cauliflower was still crunchy. The Thai chicken bowl was a huge portion. It was very, very spicy, but fresh and full of flavor. We visited this restaurant on a whim... We traveled to Columbus from Chicago to check out the Columbus vibe as my husband and I will be spending a fair amount of time in Ohio in the near future for work. This place was close to our hotel, the mall etc and we were hungry so we chose to dine here. It was a Saturday evening and the later the busier; we had a 30 min wait (not too bad)... After reviewing the menu and speaking with our super friendly server we learned about their Biscuits!! The biscuits were wonderful, soft, crispy outside, sweet & savory served in cast iron - probably the best biscuits we've had (we ended up getting two orders of biscuits) On to our entrees': - Shrimp and grits - not the best, not the worst. Not a dish I would order again from here. Lacked flavor, shrimp was lightly fried.... The dish was a bit underwhelming. - Husband had one of their pizza's , he seemed to think it was just ok, he mentioned the crust being pretty decent. - We agreed the best thing to get in the future is just the biscuits and maybe try their chicken tenders entree (and we're not typically the chicken tender type) ... Bottom Line: It's Cool. It's Trendy. It's OK. Atmosphere - like I said, it's a vey cool, trendy place. I love the feel of the open bar, tables/dining area and kitchen. The outside area is great too. Great Signature Cocktails. The Owner was sitting at a nearby table and at one point made the rounds checking on diners. Always a nice touch. Now for the food - it all sounded better than it was. It was just OK. I had the Fish & Chips. It was standard bar food quality. The fries were barely warm. I know I could have sent them back and I'm sure they would have corrected it but why should I have to do that. It was very busy, there is no reason that fries should be sitting around and getting limp. My lunch mate had the Crispy Chicken Salad. Again, it was good but not anything to rave about. We also had the biscuits. I'm a carbwhore so of course I loved them. One other thing that really turned me off - the trend of processing your credit card on the POS device that the waitstaff is holding in their hand, then turning it to the customer to add a tip and sign right then and there, while the waitstaff waits. Very Uncomfortable. You feel pressure. You feel uncomfortable taking a few moments to review the bill and to think about how much to tip. Bottom Line: I would definitely meet my friends for some cocktails and some appetizers, but it wouldn't be MY recommendation for a destination meal. read more
We had a large group and got to sit at the high top table near the kitchen. Little did we know that we got a free appetizer with this table! Not sure if this is a normal occurrence but we weren't complaining. We got the cheddar and scallion biscuits and they were AMAZING!! They were topped with a honey butter to be the perfect mix of savory and sweet. I could've eaten the whole skillet... On top of that, my pizza was flavorful with a perfect crust. My first experience at Kitchen Social exceeded my expectations! I had heard about it from the internet and have been wanting to try it. It was a great spot for a date night or to meet friends. Service was amazing, they made sure to be aware of my boyfriend's nut allergy which is always a plus. The cheddar biscuits were as good as everyone says. For entrees I got the miso salmon which was very flavorful and my boyfriend got the crab-stuffed cod which he ate every bite of! We will definitely be back! The covered patio was also a great ambience even in the winter! read more
Everyone I know raves about this place! I was looking forward to it. I ordered the cheddar + scallion biscuits, they were sweeter then I expected but still good. It was the best thing we had and I see why people love it. I ordered and tried both the shrimp tempura bowl and seared Gerber farms chicken. The shrimp tempura bowl was nothing special, after my first bite I knew it was a mistake. I didn't even eat a quarter of it, it wasn't worth it. Did I just order the wrong thing? It really wasn't good. I tried gerber farms chicken, it was much better, perhaps worth ordering again. The service was good and the ambiance was very friendly, fun gathering place. Overall I was sadly disappointed, I wanted to like everything so much. I will try it out again later (perhaps bridge park instead) in case this was a fluke experience. read more

OMG - this place was sooooo delicious!! I honestly thought people were hyping this place up, but I could not have had a better experience and meal. Very glad to have tried it out! We made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon, and we were glad we did because it was crowded. It did seem like they were getting through the wait rather quickly. And although the place was packed, the service did not disappoint. Everyone from the check in hosts, to our server and (who I believed to be) the two managers were all super pleasant and helpful. I ordered the cinnabiscuits which were absolutely amazing! I also ordered the breakfast tacos which were another solid choice - something I wouldn't typically go for but I wanted to try something different and was very happy with my choice. Everything was fresh and flavorful. My sister order the chorizo scramble which she enjoyed as well. 10/10 experience and food and can't wait to return again when I'm back in town! read more

Came here for a friend's birthday and our server was exceptional! She was quick, responsive, and made sure our party was well taken care of! I do wish there were more vegetarian options to begin with HOWEVER, the substitutions are great, extremely flavorful and filling. We had a short wait to be seated , but the wait was worth it as we had one of the finest server with an outstanding personality. We even had an opportunity to talk to a gentlemen who happen to be his father. The drinks arrived in good time as well as the appetizers. The movement of the staff was a hustle. I ordered a Sangiovese "Super Tuscan" and with it being warm around the bar and outside I would strongly recommend having some of those red wine bottles in a cooler chamber or some ice. The wine at room temperature over 90 degrees is not appropriate. The food, drinks with ice and alcohol was delicious and the service with Preston H provided a great memory for our evening out! read more

The food was so good! I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I was traveling in business so saw this restaurant on Yelp. I was immediately drawn to the pictures and hoped that the food did not disappoint... That biscuit was sooooooo good. I almost ate the thing all by myself. I actually had the biscuit while my entree which truly complimented my meal well. Run ... don't walk to this place!!! read more

I would imagine they could accommodate that number if notified ahead of time.
Can the cinnabiscuit be ordered anytime besides brunch?
They are just served at brunch. Brunch is Saturday (11-3) and Sunday (10-3). During brunch we serve both the brunch menu and the full regular menu.
Are there gluten-free options for brunch?
Their entire menu is available for brunch, not just the brunch menu. You can check out their GF menu options on their website.
Does kitchen social have a gluten free menu?
There are some really nice options on the menu that can be made gluten free. All of the pasta dishes can be done with gluten free pasta, we have brussel sprouts, fresh fish, steaks, and salad options.…
Does Kitchen Social offer takeout? Are you able to order online or do you have to call?
We do offer carryout. Just call the restaurant to place the order.

They have brunch both days! Saturday begins at 11, Sunday at 10! Gotta check out the mimosa flights!
