Such a nice hidden gem in the area! You forget you're right by a busy road when you're sitting in the back patio area. Some areas are well-shaded and some are not. It was hot sitting outside. No fans going. They do have fruity beers on the menu! Great for me since I don't drink heavy beers anymore. Stomach can't stand it and I mentally can't stand the calories. (That's what getting older does to you.) We tried the food. I got the pepperoni pizza with hot honey while my friends tried the Cuban and Sal's (their version of the Italian sandwich). Delicious! Pizza was personal-sized but I still had my friends help me. I can't do tons of dairy. My friend didn't care much for the pizza, but I'm a huge pepp fan. We all know There's trash pizza out there and this is def much better !!! My friends also loved the sandwiches. I def want to try them next time! Staff was super nice. Update 5/29/25: I talked with more senior staff who told me that customers are NOT supposed to be charged for non-alcoholic drink refills such as soda and that me getting charged in the past was a server not following the proper process multiple times. (Let me tell you: getting previously charged $12 for fountain drinks for just one person was eye-opening.) So I've updated my review and increased the score. Food remains good and the beer selection is excellent. Staff are friendly. Music trivia on Thursday nights is a lot of fun. Great outdoor area with plenty of space to spread out if needed. We love that option since our dogs are a little timid. You can order via the QR code or at the bar. The beer selection is mostly IPAs and sours but I ordered the Lager and really enjoyed it. We always love the food here and the quesdilla was no exception. Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. This microbrewery is tucked away in a residential area in Northwest. Their parking lot was full when we arrived but there was a sign informing us that we can park across the street in the church parking lot, which is what we did. We ordered at the bar and sat outside at one of the benches. But it's also an option to order with one of the servers. Both the stout and shandy were excellent. There were plenty of seats outside with music playing. We did not order any food but the variety of their menu seemed pretty standard including some appetizers and pizzas. Wanted to try a local brewery that we hadn't been to. This place popped up and looked cool. It's not big. Very small bar at the front. We took seats there since most of the tables were taken. It was a Friday night so that's good. The bar is cool. The staff was very nice and helpful. They were unfortunately out of stickers. Guess we will have to go back. Darn haha I got a sour. It was fruity and tasted like blackberry cobbler just like the description. Very good. My husband got the Scottish ale. He said he was decent. Alittle too heavy for his liking. A hidden gem, I had no idea this place existed until yesterday and I'll happily return. Not only does this place act as a brewery and restaurant it is a great event venue! SIP allows weddings receptions to have all of the space, the Henderson House, picnic table area, restaurant area and the side of the venue for games (giant beer pong and cornhole). The event coordinator, Amber, is very sweet, easy to work with, and communicates well. The food here is delicious and offers lunch and dinner. A great place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Also a great place to meet friends. A great place to bring your kids. And your dog. And heck, even a deck of cards. Somewhere in Particular has a nice selection of microbrews and the offerings aren't too crazy and/or IPA-heavy. I opted for a flight of beers; Studweiser, Prickle Rick Sour, Blue Steel, and Life in the Limelight. They were all good in their own right. The Steel Blue and Prickle Rick were surprisingly my favorites. The flavors were subtle but not overwhelming. And the Studweiser is a nice porch-pounding lager. I'd classify the food as high-qualify bar food. We shared a smattering of items; the pretzel, pizzas, hummus plate, bar nuts, chips & dip, and the bacon. Everything was super tasty and the service was top-notch. The whole vibe of this place is great. It's an open, chill vibe and literally people of all walks and ages show up to hang out. This place is a hidden gem! I went here for a drink with my cousin as she's been here before and thought I would like it. The decor on the outside is cute with skeletons all over then you walk inside to a very cute bar room with windows to see into their distillery. The tables are nice, the bar is nice (full bar), and the service is wonderful. A gentleman waited on us and he was so nice and helpful and easy to talk to. Even their water came out in an old tequila bottle which was very cute. Their beer menu is a great mix of their own brews and other local craft beers. They also had great cocktails. My cousin got a mule which was tasty, and I got their lemonade which I could drink all night long. Perfect mix of alcohol and sweet. My cousin has their kettle chips which are homemade and also came with homemade dip. It was superb! I'm going back here with my husband very soon. Somewhere In Particular is a brewery. It indeed is somewhere particular. That would be on Dierker Road near Bethel Road. Last year it got a physical location. Previously it just kind of traveled around until they opened a taproom. It has a nice patio. It was super crowded the last time. The inside is nice too. It's decorated like it's always Halloween. There's some kind of a tree decoration behind the bar that looks like it's growing along the wall. Beer is about $5 a pint. There's some that are fruity like the watermelon gose, but there's also IPAs and wheats. Food is also pretty good. The hummus sammie is about $8 with chips on the side. It still is kind of new. Fun evening with friends! Good pizza especially the bbq and southwest style. The pretzel appy was served warm and soft and delicious. We also enjoyed the pimento cheese appetizer. The beer list is interesting with lots of ipas and odd flavors like Wednesday fruit punch. We enjoyed the ones we ordered I just wish there was more than two Pilsner or witbiers for those of us that just want to enjoy a good craft beer. I love this place when you want to have a drink and enjoy lovely weather. Their beer is pretty good! They have a sour and a wheat beer that I really enjoy. Their soft pretzel is also a great accompaniment to the beer. They have other food items but I always get the pretzel. The service is really great (attentive but not annoyingly, speedy, accommodating even to larger groups). This place is always busy when the weather is nice and the service has always been on point. SIP ... what a little gem we were able to stop by during our Columbus trip. I'm finally getting around to posting my last review. I came across Somewhere In Particular through some research online and they had at least a few beers we wanted to try so we decided to stop. Parking can be a bit weird. They rent out for overflow part of the church lot across the street. Their lot is small though so I am sure this is necessary a lot of times. There is so much to love about this place. The name is great. I loved the decor and artwork. It was just a really cool place. It was fairly busy but we snagged a few seats at the bar, we were just there for the beer. The bartenders were nice and friendly. We each ordered a beer and shared. First up was The Hound of the Baskervilles, a Scotch wee heavy. This was delicious, smooth and rich. Very flavorful. I wish I saw this style done more often, because when it is done right it doesn't disappoint. Next we had Harry Porter and the Cocoa Crux. This was also pretty good. You got the coffee and toasty notes you usually do with a porter but more of a chocolatey kick, which I enjoyed. The bartender also gave us a sample of Penny Arcade Gose, which is a chocolate and strawberry sour. I am not usually a sour person and I had never before seen one with chocolate in it. This one wasn't bad though. I don't know that I could drink a full pint, but I enjoy trying different styles. We left with a four pack of cans of Hanging Gardens of Babylon. This is an imperial pistachio stout with vanilla. This was the beer I most wanted to try. I wish we could have had it on draft. A guy at a local bottle shop told me he preferred cans because he felt the pistachio was subtler. I think I would have liked a punch more of the flavor. However, this was a really good stout and we enjoyed it. read more

After sitting at the empty bar for over 15 minutes and watching the one bartender take orders from everyone in the long line ordering drinks at the end of the bar, I asked another bartender if I had to get up, go to the end of the line to order a drink, then come back and sit back down in my chair at the bar. He said "yeah, I'll be with you in a minute" in an annoyed and dismissive tone. He didn't come back to me even though he came back to the bar several times. Eventually when the line ended, the original bartender took my order, I ordered a pizza and a beer. I received an 8 oz glass of their Mango IPA for $7. I was expecting to receive a pizza that would look somewhat similar to the numerous pictures on their website. That is not even remotely close to what was presented to me. The pizzas look nothing like the photos on their website, I got what looked like a cheap grocery store frozen pizza. That's what it tasted like too. It was so disappointing, if you want great pizza and great beer, go to Derive Brewing, 15 minutes away. Excellent place with great food, friendly and very attentive staff, and great beer. Lots and lots of outdoor seating available which is good during covid times. Things look neat, clean and organized. Some heating lamps would be nice outside during the cold weather though. If you're out in the back you can take a look into their brewing area which is always cool to see. They have a range of different brews here like IPA's, Sours, Stouts and Blonde ales. Didn't taste anything I didn't like. There is also some food available if you're hungry. Small things like pretzels and cheese balls to salads and full entrees. The ambiance is hipster-ish. Before the pandemic I thought Somewhere in Particular was a pretty cool place. They had good food (especially the pizza) and pretty good beers. The patio was good size, but didn't have enough benches in my opinion. In the fall they held movie nights on their patio that I really enjoyed. Since the pandemic started I feel they really stepped up. They increased their outdoor seating by a lot without making it feel crowded at all. The tables are spaced out very well. They even allow my friends and I to bring our own chairs so we can distance even better. It's become my go to place for patio drinking during this crazy time. read more

This brewery is a 5 star review in the making. They only have a couple of their own beers and space is pretty cramped while they work on opening the house portion, but it's on its way to having everything it needs to be a success in Columbus. This area was sorely lacking a brewery and I think the locals alone will give it plenty of business. We went on a rainy day, so unfortunately the patio wasn't open, but it looks like it's super nice when it is open. Their beer was decent and their bartenders very knowledgeable. The food menu was amazing, I would go back for that alone. Their pizzas are a great size, with 8 slices you can share or possibly finish on your own. I also got a pretzel and it was perfectly soft and salted. We also got a side of the cracked bacon which would have been great if it was warm. I'm not sure if it's typically served cold or if we were just out of lucky, but serving it warm would have gone a long way in my opinion. They have a pretty spacious parking lot and a sign up that says overfill parking is across the street at the church. I don't think this is your next game day watch party location though, there aren't many tvs and none over the bar. Overall I'm happy to welcome SIP to the Columbus brewing scene! read more

Immediately "greeted" at entrance by what I guess was either a server or hostess, who said in a very loud and irritated tone that there is about an hour wait for a table ... we didn't want to eat ... just wanted a beer. I understand that things were crowded and no tables open, but the way she said it really came across rude and condescending. I really don't understand the appeal of this place - at all. We met friends here on a Saturday evening and it was an unpleasant experience from the moment we sat down. We were easily at our table for more than 15 minutes before I had to ask a server close by if someone was waiting on our table. Another 5 minutes later, our server came to the table and gave us the excuse that they were short staffed and orders for drinks were even taking long. She said all of this without even saying "Hi" or apologizing for our wait. The rest of the evening just got worse from there. To say this place is LOUD is putting it mildly. You have to practically yell at the top of your lungs to have a conversation with the person across the table from you, and the food was subpar, at best. The evening we were there, we were told by our server they only had cauliflower pizza crust and food orders were taking anywhere from 1 - 1 1/2 hours to come out. Hesitantly, we ordered about 4 pizzas for the table and it took close to 2 hours. By the time we did get our pizzas, they were burned and the bottoms were practically black. We had a few other appetizers that were very small in size, considering what we paid. Just my opinion, but $7.00 for a single pretzel, $7.00 for barely a cup of Queso and a few chips, and $7.00 for a small cup of hummus and a few veggies is a lot. The portion sizes here are super tiny. Especially when you are ordering apps for a table of 7 people. They were also out of several beers. When we ordered the beers they were out of, not knowing they were tapped, our server became irritated and was snotty when she had to tell us the list of beers that were still available. Par for the course, it took easily 15-20 minutes to get our beer once it was ordered. I understand restaurants and bars are very short staffed right now, but maybe cut back on the drink and food menu items if you can't keep everything in stock. It seems like that would be a better solution than serving insanely small portions and running out of beer and other food items. Needless to say, we won't be going back, regardless as to if we have friends going there or not. read more

I have been here several times. Each time my experience has been mediocre at best. I kept returning because I can bring my dogs and they have a few things on the menu that my kids like-the Cuban is one (when they have it available). And I like the soft pretzel. The service is usually poor to mediocre. They are also out of menu items a lot. This past time I visited, the food was terrible, the service was even worse, and I was charged wrong. The food was incorrect but actually, per the server, it was the menu that was incorrect- not them. However, there was absolutely no recourse. They said we no longer put the fresh mozzarella, blue cheese, red onions, or green onions on that pizza (even though they are listed on the menu and no one told us it had changed. Then they brought us back our cold pizza and said "do you want it or not". We said ok, if there are no other options. But then they said "hold on we can bring you a few things to make it better". Then, they never came back to the table!! After waiting another 20 minutes plus for someone to come out we asked for the check where they actually overcharged for our food. They even charged for sides of things we ordered "on the side", not extra. Unfortunately, I don't know if I can go back because I would be the glutton here. I need to find some other restaurants with good outdoor spaces for those times I want to eat out with the pups. read more

I sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon, and the service was terrific. The Italian sandwich (Sal Da Butcher) was small, but really tasty. Served on a small Italian roll with high quality meats. It's the perfect size for a snack while trying their beers; and it's priced fairly and served fresh. To drink, I tried a flight: Deflate Gate Hazy IPA - an easy drinking but tasty IPA that hits at 6.5 ABV. No problem throwing a few of these back! Muffed The Punt - 5% ABV pale ale that packs the flavor of a much stronger Pale. I really enjoyed this one. Friday Morning Fun Pit - a fruited IPA that's brewed with passion fruit, orange, pink guava, El Dorado and citrus hops. This beer is fruity. A little too much fruit for me, but it's beer..... so I drank it. And, at 8.2 ABV, this fruity beer will get you in trouble. Wake up and smell the Porter - 7.8 ABV. I have to be honest, I ordered this one because I didn't want the lager and they had three sours on tap. I was running out of options. I ended up being pleasantly surprised here. It has a strong coffee nose, a malty smooth pallet, and I really enjoyed it. I overheard the bartender telling the guy next to me, that they rotate taps a lot. They try to keep two or three sours on tap. I can't wait to try this place in the summer. They have a big outdoor space, a great patio with games and a super friendly staff. Cute brewery! In a perfect spot, down from the busy part of Bethel Rd, and it's main hustle and bustle. Fabulous patio with plenty of room to move about. Six nice (new?) long picnic tables for communal seating. The brewing kettles and process room is open and viewable through the windows. The indoor portion is kinda small, and there's only two TVs; however, get here early enough to grab a seat, and you'll be able to see no matter where you're hunkered down. Can't comment on their beer (not my thing), but can score their homemade pizza pies. Survey says... Two thumbs up! I didn't know what to expect, but sure am glad I ordered one. PS, their menu is short and concise, but the pizza was enough to hook me. Only one size, I got their classic pepperoni and added mushrooms. Awesomsauce! No, but really, their sauce was lite and tasty. I was expecting, like some artisan pizza shops, for the toppings to be skimpy. WRONG! Pep and shroom were spread all over!! The crust was soft, just the right amount of soft dough-to-air pockets ratio. Like that their's is on the thin side. I've been here several times. Busy, slow, just opened, a little more matured, no patio, now patio. Good enough qualifier? They make beer here - number one. And their variety has grown over time to have a much more (IMO) Respectable variety. Not too many that they're not consistent, but enough that they've got something for 80% of beer drinkers. Their food - I've only eaten a couple times. It's been good (focused on appetizers for myself) - but they do have it, and unless you're the kind of person that turns their nose up because they don't have chicken fingers, they'll have something you like. Beer - solid. Food - good (not the best by any means, but c'mon, at the moment, you come here for the beer unless they start hitting Wolf's Ridge level of quality in cooking). The atmosphere/service: has been consistently good, and it's kind of low-key. Not pretentious, not elevated - just a little rustic.
