This was my first visit to the North High Brewing but it certainy won't be my last. The restaurant did a marvelous job of transforming the garage behind the old armory into a beautiful restaurant with a delightful patio. We were there to enjoy lunch on the patio which is nicely landscaped and shielded from the neighboring post office. It sits far enough back from State Street that you aren't bothered by road noise. My wife had the $14 lunch special - a burger with sauteed brussel sprouts. The specail was a choice of the burger or chicken fingers with either fries, sweet potato fries or brussel sprouts. She said her lunch was very good and she would order it again - maybe with sweet potato fries the next time. I had the North High burger (2 patties) with fries for $16. My lunch was also very good. . Stopped in with some friends on a Tuesday evening. The back patio area is really great just to hang out and let the kids run around. There is one bartender and she was really great. She helped me choose a drink and was kind and patient with my kid. The food service is a tad slow but I wasn't in any rush. I had the seasonal nachos - I think they were birria? It was good and hit the spot and I'd suggest the pork over the chicken! read more

The inside seating was nice but very loud due to the structure decor of concrete and exposed steel trusses. Parking is difficult because of people parking in the Restraint's lot to go to the school activities. This Restraunt is sort of landlocked. You end up parking next door at the Post Office. They have signs up but people still park there and do not go to the Restraunt. Overall Good experience and we will go back. read more

Sunday morning, I said to Sarah "Let's do brunch somewhere. Someplace we haven't been." She broke out Yelp and North High Brewing pops up. Let's go! We live minutes from Westerville. I love State Street because of the vibe and options for drinks and food. This is located at the beginning (or end) of State Street depending on which way you come in. Located behind Co Hatch, there's plenty of parking. Walking in, the place reminds me of The GOAT locations, but just a wee bit more chill. The menu is definitely more expansive. We sat at the bar and at there were TVs around bar but not too loud. Just a comfortable place to spend a Sunday. Connor was helping us and I appreciate that he took our order without writing it down. AND it came out right! The couple next to us ordered the Cheese Curds as an appetizer and the portions are very generous. They looked amazing and we'll have to try them next time. We ordered the Blistered Brussels with Parmesan. Impressive. Not greasy. Crispy with a pop of flavor but not overpowering like some places. I'd say #3 of all the places we've tried. 12 Wings with Hot Honey and Honey Wheat bbq. Love the sauces on the wings equally. Just hit my flavor buds. Nice size wings. I would order them extra crispy next time is my only change. Really good blue cheese!! Sweet potato fries were flat crinkle cut and seasoned well. Peppery like I like. Side of BBQ for dipping. Oh yeah, true fat kid move. Honey Wheat Beer to wash out all down. Their own brew. Sarah had the Orchard Salad with Salmon and she loved it. I had absolute excellent service, our waitress was amazing and even the manager came out to great us. This is our first time here and we are hoping it will become our go to favorite place. The seating and ambiance are great. The craft beer selection is outstanding. The chicken sandwich was just ok because it seemed like other than the hot sauce the chicken hadn't been seasoned. The regular fries needed to be crisper. Came for their Happy Hour. They were out of the IPAs I was interested in and I can't say I found a great beer in their place. Food is really good. I had fried pickles and then a chicken sandwich; no complaints. The server was very patient as we sampled around 5-6 different beers. The service was still fast and efficient. Visited North High Brewing on Sunday afternoon. This was my first time visiting this location, but I love their beer. The restaurant has ample parking. There also is a large patio, though I sat inside on my visit. My friends and I sat at the bar. The NFL games were on the TV. The bartender was friendly and provided great service. For my drink order I opted for a flight. Their flights include four different beers from their draft list. My favorite beer of the four was the Cover Crop, which is a blonde ale. The Christmas and pumpkin ales were also great. I also ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries. The sandwich was stacked high with meat and crispy onions. It was flavorful though could have used a little more BBQ sauce. The sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. Came here on a Saturday around 12:30 with my mom. Large parking lot, which was good as the place has not one but two dining patios plus a large inside dining area and it was pretty full... everywhere. We were seated immediately at an interior small booth. Booth was roomy and comfortable. Server was friendly and brought drinks/food out quickly We ordered: A simple salad, added shrimp. Salad had lots of field greens, a large amount of sliced avocado (also was super fresh, no brown spots), peppers, onions, croutons, cheese and house made ranch dressing (yum) and the shrimp was mid sized, fresh and had more shrimp than most salads. Was impressed. It was quite good. Mom had a chicken sandwich. Think it is called the standard sandwich: chicken option. It is listed as crispy but they can make it grilled, which is what she ordered. It comes with the best bun. I am a bun snob so this is high praise. Generous amount of lettuce, roasted peppers and sandwich pickles. Had you put all the toppings on it the sandwich became quite tall, which was overwhelming to my 83-year-old mother so she removed all of the toppings... Which is what she does everywhere. Had I ordered the sandwich I feel that you would need to really hold the bun down to get a good bite but I feel it would be so worth it. It looked delicious -so delicious. I think I will come back and get one... heck maybe next week We came on a day that OSU had a football game so wings were a dollar a wing and sold in boxes of six or 12. we ordered a six pack of Louisiana dry rub a six pack of regular buffalo wings and a six pack of wheat beer barbecue sauced wings. The wings were to go. I brought them home to my husband and the the buffalo ones appeared like they didn't have any sauce on them they weren't very good... However, the Nashville dry rub wings at the perfect amount of kick not too much not too little and definitely didn't need any additional sauce. They were delicious, but the winner was the barbecue even my husband who doesn't like barbecue said that they were outstanding we would get those again. It was a wonderful trip in for a quick lunch The front patio is nice for just dining. The back patio is way more fun -has picnic tables and big Jenga and swings Also a big TVs and outside bar. My husband and I have been to North High Brewing in Westerville several times now. We've sat at a table inside, the bar inside, the bar outside, and at a table outside. What a great addition to the Westerville area! The outside area to the rear of the restaurant is kid/family/dog friendly with a variety of seating options/games/swings. Typically the service is friendly and relatively quick the beer is good and the atmosphere is upbeat with decent music and a sports event on the big screens. We love the Nashville hot dry rub wings. The Bavarian pretzels are hot and tasty with nice beer cheese and grainy beer mustard dipping options. We've tried several menu options and never been disappointed. Definitely a great place for dinner or apps or drinks or all of the above. And the are right off of a walking/bike trail so you can pop in for a refreshing beverage along with your exercise. read more

Stopped in for dinner and drinks in a busy Saturday night (if you definitely want a table inside and not the beer garden which has a limited menu considering a reservation- we've stopped in before and we're unable to get a spot without quite a wait)! Cute spot and great food and drink! They have indoor tables, a large bar, patio seating and then a large beer garden with its own bar. I got their cold brew martini which features whiskey - I'm not normally a whiskey person but this was delicious and not over powering. The pizza was also incredible- enough to split for sure! Made a stop to check out their newest location as part of working our way thru the Columbus Ale Trail. Another nice addition to the vibrant CBus craft beer scene. The interior is very open with plenty of seating for two or a group. Very nice bar area. There are also tables on a front patio for outside dining and a super fun back patio. The back patio has a separate bar where they offer all their beers on tap. There is plenty of seating ranging from tables to individual chairs where you can watch the game on the big screen or sit around a fire pit. I ordered the hot garlic wings along with a beer. Wings were very good and I enjoyed the beer. My wife ordered the simple salad and she loved it. Our server was good and answered our questions. She was also quick and pleasant while taking care of us. They have a very nice parking lot with plenty of spacing. They also are only a short walk from the very fun Uptown area. read more

The original North High location in the Short North was just a tiny unremarkable bar. Their Dublin location was a step in the right direction with a very attractive location. Then this Westerville location knocked it out of the park! The brewery interior is very spacious, clean, and modern. However, the best part is the dual patio spaces. One of the patios seems to be more the dining side. Where you can enjoy a nice meal outside before venturing over to the second patio. The second patio offers a huge outdoor tv. It will be great to watch games outside on their patio when it's warm out. They also offer a fire pit, outdoor bar, games and several swings. It's a great little hang out spot. Food wise so far I've only had the salmon BLT. I promise to try something else in the future and update my review, but the salmon BLT is so tasty I have been unable to form the words to order anything else. I really like the bacon jam and yuzu sauce they use on the sandwich. The sandwich comes with a choice of side. The sweet potato waffle fries are delicious. It would be nice if they came with a sauce other than ketchup though. Lastly, I wanted to mention every server I've had at North High Brewing in Westerville has been very friendly and attentive. First, I just want to say I love this place. I've been going here consistently since they opened. It's a great place for the kids to run around in the outside area. The drinks are amazing, and I enjoy their appetizers a lot. I normally would give 5 stars because of the wonderful experience I've had here. With that said, the one evening I was there, the outside staff/service was horrendous. There was an entire bar of patrons waiting, me particularly waited in the center. But the 2 working bartenders focused only in one corner. After waiting for 15min, I decided to head that way to get some service. It took another 10 min of standing around and I noticed how new people were coming up to the bar and they were immediately getting acknowledged by the staff and asking what they want. I tried to get their attention and was ignored. Until finally a gentleman who literally just walked up to the bar, and was acknowledged right away, told the female bartender "I believe he was here first". I was not very pleased by this sequence of event. Got my drinks, went inside and the staff inside was AMAZING. They were friendly, accommodating, and super helpful. I was going to give this a 1 Star but because of the folks inside and my previous experiences were good; I refrained from bashing this establishment entirely due to one bad encounter. read more

We went there on a friday afternoon with our 2 kids to enjoy the outdoor patio. Great atmosphere and an excellent place to bring kids to. The beer on happy hour was great and service was fine. I would suggest more shaded areas and lounge chairs and small tables. Also parking was hard to come by. We will be going there again for sure. read more

What a space! Slick interior that feels like an elevated restaurant - and two notches above your average brewery. And that's before we get to the outside patio which blends all the best parts of a playground and poolside gazebo bar w/ small screens and a BIG projector screen for sports viewing. As far as the food and beer go, they play a complimentary role to the ambiance. Cheese Curds were a good investment, especially with the hot honey sauce. The Standard burger was straightforward as the name suggests. I went there late on a Saturday afternoon, and they seemed staffed for a much busier day than they were having. But by the time we left, I could see why they had so much staff as the Saturday night crowd was making their way in. It was the place to be! read more

Nice, spacious inside with an outdoor lounge area complete with bar, TVs, and turf. Tons of kiddos running around outside playing while parents enjoyed food and drinks. We sat inside and had a party of 9 around 4PM. The interior is very modern and open. Long bar with plenty to choose from (though I didn't get anything to drink). The reason I'm giving three stars is for the service. It was early enough in the evening that it wasn't super busy, at least not inside. Everyone else at the table got their meals before two of us did. After about 10-15 minutes our plates finally came out, without a "sorry for the wait". I got the salmon wrap and blistered Brussels. The rest of the table was halfway done by the time I finally got my plate. I'm fine to wait, but there was no acknowledgment of the delay, and that kind of thing does not go unnoticed. The rest of our party felt bad that two of us just sat there for 15 minutes waiting. Our server also didn't offer to replace or refill our water carafes. Overall she seemed annoyed and unhappy to be there. Luckily the wrap was tasty. The sauce on it was delicious and the salmon was cooked perfectly. A win there, at least. We will probably choose a different place next time we venture to Columbus and have dinner, unfortunately. read more

Lovely new spot for us in Westerville. Recommended by another country club member who really enjoyed her experience with her daughter. We snagged a 745 pm reservation and showed up about 15 min early snagging two seats at the bar. My husband had cocktails I stuck with red wine (I know...it's a brew place but we stick with what works for us. :D). The bruschetta app was just ok it came out with cold toppings. Three diff flavors which each had two servings perfect for two. The one with shaved cheese on top would have been better had it been melted - anyway - just a thought. LOVE the bruschetta thin bread. So good! Two salads for our entrees. Mine was the simple with steak tips SO GOOD and the dressing was perfect. My husband had the Cobb salad and both were really full and so fresh. We were super happy with our choices. The staff was hopping. Really good from the moment we checked in at the hostess stand to the bartenders. Really impressive. It's loud so be prepared for a happening spot and truth be known, Westerville really needed something like this! I could tell the staff was carefully selected as everyone had a positive vibe about themselves and were very customer oriented. Impressive! LOTS of parking. The location is perfect just as you are heading into the center of town off of Rt 3 located by co-hatch and the post office. When I was researching co-hatch on my phone waiting for our drinks it was cool to see co-hatch pumping up the benefits of their location and they called out North High Brewing - Westerville. Smart. North High Brewing checks all the boxes one has come to expect from a "brew pub" such as this: rustic-chic decor, a menu that covers all the bases, and a selection of beers that'll quench any thirst. It's a good spot to grab a bite or drink any time of day. (Note: the outdoor area looks pretty fantastic but it was too cold for us to explore) We stopped in for an early lunch while in town visiting friends and had an enjoyable meal. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the staff attentive, and the food tasty - we enjoyed ourselves. Our meal kicked off with drinks and apps: I highly recommend the Fried Pickles and the pretzels were good too. After munching we ordered our main meals and they were prepared and delivered pretty quickly. Some highlights were the Chicken Fingers (delicious) and the burger. One of us also had a Caesar Salad, which was good but a bit overly dressing'd (is that a word?) and the Pork Sandwich, which was HUMUNGOUS! In all, we were pleased with the fare, save for one item: the "tater tots" are not what you'd expect... think of them more as dense hush puppies or un-flattened potato pancakes... the kids were less than impressed haha. Our waitress, while she seemed new, did a good job of handling our group of eight - no major issues. One point on value: the prices are about what you'd expect for a place like this (slightly inflated) but the kid's meal prices were a bit outlandish... $12 is pretty steep! It has a fantastic outdoor space with a bar, and plenty of families could be seen hanging out there. I think there were some games out there to keep the kiddos busy. I kept joking that I wish these establishments were around when my kiddo was young, things might have not been as stressful! Anyway, we sat at the bar. The dining area is modern simple decor. I imagine you could come here for any occasion. There is a lot of space, and it seems pretty popular! They have a great beer selection. My husband and I love IPA, so we opted for the HOPES. I got the standard burger which was basic but good, my friend loved the fish and chips and another friend loved the salmon sandwich (I tried some and the tator tots- very good!) While the food was good, the place did have a fly problem and I was constantly shooing them away. For a brewery the place seemed to be overrun but kids so that might be something to take into consideration.
