Walked in to an "alive space". There is a nice outdoor patio too! Sat at the bar. Only one bartender so it took a little while to be served. But not too bad. I arrived just after the peak of brunch service. Second bartender showed up shortly after. Had a flight and the beer was delicious. Since it was still brunch service I got the Barría Hash with the poached egg. I really liked the additional of pickled onions and cilantro. To me the more pickled onions the better so I would've loved more. I do not salt my food but this dish felt like it needed salt. If I'm saying that it needs it. Nocterra Brewing has a really cool location and was a fun stop during our weekend getaway. There's plenty of parking, and the brewery sits right off a walking trail, so there were lots of people out walking and riding bicycles. It created a lively atmosphere and made for a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. The two beers we tried were both excellent and definitely the highlight of our visit. The only downside was the service. The bartender may have been having an off day, but she didn't come across as very friendly and seemed a bit short with customers as they came in. It didn't ruin our experience, but it was noticeable compared to the welcoming atmosphere everywhere else. Overall, the great beer and unique location made it worth the stop, and I'd still recommend checking it out if you're in the area. read more

Amazing service, food and beer today at Nocterra Brewing Company at Audubon Park. From the moment we walked in the front door, we were greeted and taken care of. We were given time to review the menu make our selections. I started with a flight sampling of five of their beers, and my friend had a chai tea. We also went with appetizers of the tricolor carrots, and the bowl of fries . Then our main dish I went with the Vermonter turkey club, which was amazing with the side salad truly one of the best sandwiches and side salads I've ever tasted. Great portion, great food & great service and what a cool location in the middle of a city of Columbus Park only wish it was a nicer day so we could've gotten out and explored the park too definitely will return on a nice day to enjoy both again. read more

This is a huge brewpub located inside a city park. We chose to eat/drink here just to check out the unusual location, but we were pleasantly surprised by how good (and elevated) the food is here. The beers are also quite good. You order using your phone by scanning a unique QR code at every table. Really fun brewery! My friend and I came here after rock climbing and had a blast! I was most impressed by the food. It's rare to find a brew pub with gluten free options that are also delicious! My friend can't eat gluten so she enjoyed the tacos and a seltzer which were both great! I enjoyed the beer even though nothing blew me away. Really solid IPAs and some experimental beers which is always nice to see. The service was prompt as well. The thing that stole the show was the ambiance! What a cool space with fun at! Loveee this spot! First enjoyed the decor and the fact that it's connected to the rock climbing gym. The second floor has views to the gym so it's perfect to grab a bite to eat or a drink with friends after a day at the park or climbing. I finally had a chance to eat here and was very happy with the Nocterra burger! I'm not much of a burger girl unless it's vegan or turkey, but I was craving for some red meat and they didn't disappoint! The patty is thin so it wasn't overbearing and extremely flavorful. I ordered the side salad which was a perfect portion and very delicious! I ate the entire plate and didn't feel full or "heavy", which is exactly my style. Recommend this spot if you're in the park or want to make a whole day of it with family and friends! Also, you have to order using the QR code and the staff will come and drop it off; so don't expect someone to come to your table once you find a spot. So glad that I found this killer brewery in the beautiful Audubon park!! The views from the deck are both beautiful and interesting, with nature meeting the city. Being right on the bike path is an extra plus! Thr menu has some pretty standard stuff like burgers, but they have many off beat options like a kimchi melt, blistered shishito and lentil humus. Service when we visited was quick and friendly. There are loads of seating options with an upper and lower level and patio, making it the perfect place for groups. We go to the climbing gym next door, and decided to try Nocterra specifically because of the multiple marked vegan options since our whole family is vegan. Immediately upon sitting down, we did not love that the whole ordering process is on your phone. My partner and I ordered the Shane, and I ordered mine with a salad. It is specifically marked as V for Vegan on the menu. I also ordered "buttered noodles" for my child, and just put "no butter - sub oil" to make it vegan, since the vast majority of pasta is vegan. When it arrived, it looked like fresh pasta (my bad for not checking) so I politely asked, "excuse me, do you know if this pasta contains egg?" The server went to check, then came back and said "Ummmmm, so most pasta all has egg....." Not only did she not answer our question, but she acted like we were in the wrong for even asking! After that, my meal arrived, with cheese on the salad. So I let the server know, and she got me a new one while hardly saying a word to me. The new one had a hair in it. At that point, the children were losing their patience so I just ate around the hair and didn't mention it. No one came by our table after that anyways. The rest of the food was good, though the bread for the sandwiches was overly toasted and cut very thin for how holey it was, so they fell apart. Had a great experience last night at Nocterra Brewing Company. We arrived at 5 pm to play some games and the place already had two tables playing so we knew we made the right choice going there. You can sit wherever you'd like and either order through a QR code or go up to the bar. My friend and I decided to split to appetizers and split the Three-Cheese flat bread was AMAZING and the Potato and Cheese Croquettes. Both were great options but I loved the flat bread. I also got a cider from Mackenzie's brewing which was one of their guest taps. Great place to come on a rainy Sunday to play games. Will definitely be back for the food and ambiance. read more

Beer review: great as always! Nocterra is one of Columbus's best breweries. Food review: We did brunch on a cold Sunday morning, so it was not very busy! There is ample seating, you order via QR code at your table, and the service is very quick once you order! There are only a few items on the brunch menu, but the breakfast toast was to DIE FOR (always a fan of fig jam) and my friend loved the Birria hash! You are also not limited to the breakfast items, the normal menu is available for ordering as well. Food was so good. I had the diner burger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. They had this sauce on it that enhanced all the flavors. The fries were fine, double fried, not my favorite but that's me. My wife had the birria torta. It had a slight spice and meat was very tender. It came awesome side salad that was not only flavorful but huge! It could have been a meal in itself. You order at the table by QR code for food and drinks and everything came out so quick! Was excited to check out this spot, and perk that I could go on a hike before. Lots of outside seating, a big upstairs and inside seating too. It's pretty cute, and I enjoy the plant walls. I sat at the bar, and the service was still a bit slow, but the bartenders were friendly. The beer was decent, only one really stood out, but not bad. We got the carrot appetizers as well as the pickled deviled eggs. The carrots were fine, not tons of flavor but not awful. The pickled deviled eggs I loved though. It was nice to have something a bit different from the other deviled eggs around. And they were just barely pink so if you're not into pickled eggs (because you're a crazy person) you'd probably still enjoy these. I'll be back to try other things. read more

Great brewery, I was there for a fund raiser this past week. It's a big place with plenty of seating inside and out. I didn't eat, but saw plenty of big sandwiches and ramen being delivered that smelled and looked absolutely delicious. I tried two beers while I was there, the first one was the Bergwandern, a Hefeweizen. It was smooth, light and tasty. I would definitely drink it again. The second one was the Notarctia Proxima, an American Wild Ale. I'm not a tart fan, so didn't enjoy this one. I'm not slamming on it, a fan of tarts would probably enjoy it. The location is interesting since its an office complex in a metro park. Would love to see a little more signage so you knew you were going the right way. Location is exceptional right off of a Metropark and The Scioto Trail. Connected to the climbing gym next door. You can watch people climb during your stay. Patio is nice and becomes part of the dining room with the garage doors. Good selection of in-house beers. It's part of the Ale Trail and a great addition to the Central Ohio brewery scene. I'd likely give this 3.5 stars if possible. Went on a quiet weekday night: the restaurant is spacious with a few four-top tables and more six-tops. Minimalist industrial feel (in keeping with the warehouse-y feel of the business complex in which it is located). You order at bar or from your phone, though when we were there, perhaps because it was less crowded, the bartender also came over and took our orders in person). The food was a little pricey given the very casual feel of the place, though the menu was also interesting and innovative, like wasabi deviled eggs and a pimento cheese fried chicken sandwich. Food was flavorful, but not necessarily amazing (for instance, the wings we ordered seemed dry and overdone, and they didn't come with any celery or other crudités !). Beer was excellent and there was good variety, though heavy on the IPAs. Seems like a fun place in the afternoon when the weather is good and you can be on their patio; I don't think I would come again just as a dinner destination. read more

Nocterra could not have picked a better spot to set up shop! They're going to get so much business from the metro park and bike path. It was super busy on a summer Thursday evening. We waited about 15 min for staff to clear a patio table for us. I think they either need to hire more staff or rework their seating charts because our waiter had three tables seated all at the same time. Service was slow.... But our waiter was taking the time to chat with each table and check in with them. It took longer to get seated and get our orders taken then it did to get drinks and food. Love all the sours on the menu and the pink lemonade seltzer is good too! Flights aren't listed on the menu, but you can order five 5oz pours and essentially make your own. Huge loft style warehouse brewery! This place is legit! The beer is delicious and the floor plan is inviting. There is a bar upstairs and downstairs, glass garage doors that open and tons of natural light. It's also in the middle of a park with a rock climbing wall across from it. The location of this brewery is off of the beaten path, but it is worth it. The food is delicious with a full menu. The beer selection is long with 20 beers on tap. Mostly IPAs so if you like those it is heaven for you. The staff are very friendly. You order via your phone. The place is very open and bright, with plenty of comfortable seating. Was slow as it's a Monday evening but we came here as a last second decision and so glad we did. I never order pasta anywhere but I ordered the Pesto dish with chorizo meatballs solely because I have braces and wanted something I can eat with a fork lol. IT WAS SO DARN DELICIOUS .
