The first time I went to J Liu I wasn't very impressed. I came back a couple of times and I will say they have definitely improved in terms of the food. Service has always been great and I appreciate the parking lot they have, but there's plenty of free parking options all around. It's interesting considering they have Asian food to American to Italian. I've only ever tried the Asian and it's not bad. It's overpriced in my opinion, but the atmosphere is nice. I'll need to try non Asian items. The tiramisu is good though!

I've eaten here a few times now and it's always great service for my carry out. I ordered the fried rice lunch portion. It came with 3 protein choices. I got double shrimp and chicken. Mine was gluten free and they said they were careful about cross contamination. It was $15 and came with a lot of food! This delicious meal makes for leftover breakfast tacos!

We love this place. We ordered the spring rolls to start. Then the Mongolian Beef and sesame chicken. Max's service was great. We have been coming her for almost 16 years now. It looks great.

Had dinner here the other night with friends. Always a great place . I had the Mongolian beef which was very good and I had enough to take home for another meal . Had the calamari for appetizer . Wed is half off on bottles of wine under 200. . That is a great deal

Delicious food tonight with excellent service. Mixed appetizer plate. The Crab Rangoon is outstanding!! I could have eaten 15 of those guys! Delicious, fresh poke bowl. Served with two sauces. Rice was perfectly cooked and the tuna was fresh and a huge portion! This quiet little place gets overlooked but it's certainly worth your time. Oh, and an awesome outside.

Their happy hour is amazing! Great drink specials and so much yummy food. We ordered almost one of everything but our favorite was the avocado and the dumplings. Everything we had was delicious though. We also tried the old fashioned and the Pomegranate martini which also did not disappoint. Definitely worth the visit, especially during happy hour.

Decided to try for my husbands and I anniversary. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night but we did have an early reservation right around the time the restaurant opened. The staff were nice and friendly. The lighting in the restaurant was dim, but nice. Staff dressed up for Halloween and music played in the background. Now on to the food... The dumplings were great! We ordered two orders. We had the dragon roll, the shrimp could have been crunchier , husband wasn't a fan of how chewy the texture was. Still good. The Mongolian beef and white rice were seasoned good, nice size portion. You can choose from white rice or fried rice. Can't go wrong with cheesecake! Everything was great! I would definitely go again!

What a great little restaurant in downtown Dublin, Ohio. The building has lots of charm and is a cozy, quite restaurant. I love the Mongolian Beef at this place. This dish comes with tenderloin, scallions, onion and crispy rice noodles with a delicious spicy brown sauce. I also recommend getting the fried rice with this. It's a small up charge for the fried rice, but worth every penny. There is limited parking around the restaurant but there is a big parking lot located just behind the restaurant. Great food and great service.

My pad Thai is "extra vegetables". There are hardly any veggies as all and they're all massively overcooked and mushy. Everything we ordered lacked freshness but had really good flavors. This is a GREAT location, gorgeous patio, and I love having an ethnic food option in Dublin (even though they still have all the Dublin classics on the menu too god forbid the people of Dublin skip chicken parm on a night out). I think another issue is they basically have two menus, Asian and Dublin, I think they need to pick a single menu and go with it. The Asian side is great if they freshen everything up. Great staff also.

Service was a bit slow, but not due to lack of effort! The lady that was taking care of my table was running her butt off, but she could have been duplicated to make the experience 5 star. Slow to take an order, slow to follow up, slow to get the check. The food, on the other hand, was quick and hot. Started with a cup of the lobster bisque. Very thick, very rich, little light on the crustacean. Also, very hot, extremely hot. I'm not going to complain, because if I do complain about a soup, it's because it isn't hot enough. This stuff burned the roof of my mouth! For dinner I had the blackened tuna over something like coconut rice (whatever that is). Regardless, I'm here to tell you the tuna was the best I ever had! Thick cut, rare, tender as all get out. Outstanding. The rice was topped with avocado and crab meet. Also had a slight spice/wasabi flavor to it. The spice made it happen! Washed everything down with their house Chardonnay, which I also very much enjoyed.

I went here for dinner with my husband on Friday night. The J Liu in Dublin was booked, so we opted for a reservation here as it was wide open. I ordered a cocktail that had strawberry purée (can't remember the name), it was awful! It tasted like straight liquor. My husband ordered a happy hour lemonade drink and also said his was very strong. That is after the server told him it can only be ordered at the bar?! Ha! We asked if we can have it if we paid full price and sure enough the drink showed up. We had the crab Rangoon which was very very good! We also both ordered a cup of lobster bisque soup which was very good despite not having much of any lobster chunks in it. For our entrees my husband ordered the chicken parm and I ordered their salmon. When I tell you the food was bland! My goodness! I never reach for the salt and pepper but had to. The broccoli was under cooked, the salmon although cooked nice had absolutely no flavor. The coconut rice was alright, one bit had flavor and the next didn't. My husband wasn't impressed with the chicken parm and again it was very bland, he ate his though. Service was ok, maybe it was the fact that we didn't order Asian food here? But if you have something on the menu, do it right. We will never return here or the Dublin location for that matter. Overly priced and not good.

Anyways, Arnold Palmer was very bitter. Whatever you have in mind for deviled eggs is not what you will need tasting when you try these. It had an odd smell and tasted under seasoned. Would not order again. The wontons I give a 3/5. Not my favorite. The mushrooms weren't over powering but still interesting. This could have also used more seasoning. Outer layer was crispy. If you don't like sauces, ask for your sauce on the side because they pour it on your wontons for you. The empanadas seasoned well. Stuffed well too. Would order again. Then we ordered the flank steak medium. We received well done and it took more than 15+ minutes for the waitress to come to our table to check on us in order for us to send it back to get medium. Other than that, plantains were cooked well, the rice and beans were good. Presentation was beautiful. The restaurant was not busy at all. There were many empty tables and seats at the bar. Music isn't too loud to have conversations. Considering how much I spent on these meals and drinks, I would not return again.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed all the plants: some were hanging and many were near the windows throughout the whole place. They were real and very healthy. Someone who works here must have a green thumb. There were many tables and chairs, a long bar and a separate area for private parties. There is a QR code to order at our table but I ordered from the bar because it was not too busy. My bartender was very friendly. She acknowledged me right away, and came to take my order as soon as she could. I ordered the margarita but all the cocktails looked so good. The decor behind the bar was beautiful! It was a long picture of a runway with a plane taking off. There were also airplane windows that were so cute and went with the whole airport theme. I came up later to order shots for our table. While there were a few minor service issues, our server was kind and attentive and acknowledged the celebration with complimentary desserts, which we truly appreciated. After dinner, my cousin and I went to wash our hands and use the restroom. At the time, all stalls were occupied and one was out of service, so we waited. When a stall opened, my cousin kindly let me go first. I finished and stood outside the stalls waiting for her for about three minutes. During that time, I noticed several people going in and out of the restroom area. I also saw a man sitting in a chair along the hallway wall near the stalls, hunched over. Shortly after, a woman exited the restroom and grabbed him to leave. I thought nothing of it and minded my own business. I also observed the executive chef enter one of the restroom stalls. When my cousin exited, she mentioned that the stall smelled strongly of smoke and that three girls had exited the stall before she entered. She said the stall smelled like marijuana but used it only because it was the only option available. She also pointed out that the man sitting outside appeared to be associated with the group who had been in the stall. We then returned to our patio table where our family was seated. Our server brought out her birthday pie along with another complimentary dessert. She blew out the candle, we shared dessert, and we began preparing to leave. A few minutes later, while we were still seated on the patio, the general manager, Nick Krafft, approached our table accompanied by Executive Chef Michael Wagner. We initially assumed he was checking in on our experience. Instead, he immediately stated, "I'm going to have to ask you not to smoke in our restaurant and bathroom," directing the accusation at my cousin and me. We were completely taken aback by both the accusation and the manner in which it was delivered. We calmly explained that it was not us and described exactly what we had observed in the restroom. We stated that neither of us smoke and never have. We even offered to have our belongings checked and explained that we had not taken any jackets or purses with us to the restroom, as our family remained at the table. Despite this, the general manager refused to listen or consider our explanation and continued to place blame on us. He did not speak to our server, who had interacted with us just moments earlier while bringing out the birthday dessert, nor did he attempt to investigate further or de-escalate the situation. As we were leaving, my fiancé asked the general manager if he actually smelled smoke on either of us. He responded "yes," which was not true, and continued to push a conclusion he had already formed. No apology was offered. We spent over $1,000 celebrating a family birthday at a restaurant we had trusted and enjoyed in the past. Instead, the evening ended with my cousin's birthday being overshadowed by an unfounded accusation. There were many guests dining that evening, yet blame was placed solely on two women who had simply used the restroom. I am a Nurse Practitioner, and my cousin is a special education teacher for autistic children. Neither of us have ever smoked. Being accused in this manner was humiliating, hurtful, and completely unnecessary. I was later contacted by the regional manager, who was understanding. However, I believe this situation highlights the need for better investigation, accountability, and staff training to prevent similar experiences in the future. A personal apology from Nick, acknowledging his actions and taking accountability, would be an appropriate step forward after innocent guests were wrongly blamed and a birthday celebration was ruined.
