    SALMON

I stayed in this hotel for a work trip for a few days. The hotel is beautiful and I loved that the restaurant was open and airy. The staff were extremely friendly and they took great care of us! Our waiter made sure to share his personal recommendations with us. We started with the ahi tuna tower. It was just okay, felt it was missing some flavor. I ordered the salmon and it was perfectly cooked and came out piping hot! My colleagues ordered the scallops and mahi mahi. The mahi mahi was very good, but a little salty. Some of the scallops were overcooked. We also had the Brussels and they had a very bitter, almost burnt taste. I ordered the chopped salad later in the week and that was delicious!! Overall, it's decent for a hotel restaurant.

Great place to grab some drinks and/or food if you're staying at the hotel. They have live music on the weekends and a nice setup to hangout at the bar or around the restaurant area!

Hubby and I stayed over night and had breakfast at the restaurant the next morning. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and we got the chance to see more of the hotel in the restaurant area. It wasn't very busy in the morning but it was a laid back atmosphere.

This restaurant is inside the Renaissance Hotel. I've order from here several times before through Door Dash. Whether be by delivery or dine in, this meal is delicious. The hollandaise sauce is butter and finger licking good. The amount of lobster on each English muffin is calculated where you can have a piece of meat in every bite. Oh and I can't forget to mention the necessary qualification to be considered a great Benedict...yup, the egg poached right!! It's the holidays so the ambiance is sparkly, spacious (I don't like sitting at my table and being able to look into my neighboring diners plate or Vice-versa) and filled with holiday spirit. The service was prompt. Our server was personable, knowledgeable and attentive. My guest had the waffle, eggs and sausage. Sausage was tasty and you get three nice links for $4. The prices are good+ for the quality and quantity ordered.

The atmosphere is unique, charming, relaxing, and welcoming. Katherine, the executive manager takes great care of you as a guest. She sets the pace, working with her staff to insure a great experience. She is visable and mingling with her guests. Then there is Nick, our server today, that greats you very kindly and welcomes you with a warm smile. He answers all your questions and made a couple of recommendations as this was our first time here. His recommendations were well recieved and turned out to be what we expected, they were great. I got the meatloaf, sounds like big deal. But let me tell you, this is a great tasting dish. Well balanced flavor and seasoning. My wife had the chicken & Amish noodles over mashed potatoes and it was delicious as well. Then Nick suggested dessert, recommended the Chefs Christie's Famous Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie | A La Mode. This is unlike any cinnamon roll you have ever had. It was delicious. We split that and I think my wife got more of it than I did. Oh well. Like I said this wasn't just eating out at a nice restaurant, this was a great dining experience to tell your friends about.

Books everywhere, the menus are literally books, there's this big community table in the middle plus booths if you want your own space. Just one of those places that feels different the second you walk in.We both did the afternoon tea, sandwiches and desserts were good no complaints there. But the real shocker... the girls actually tried the tea and liked it I fully expected faces and complaints but nope. We did order a grilled cheese and a burger just to be safe and both were solid. Also tried an espresso martini for the first time and yeah I get the hype now, it was really good. And our server was so sweet, super patient, explained the teas, made suggestions without being pushy. You can tell she actually cared about the experience. Overall just a really cute, different kind of outing, especially if you're trying to do something a little more memorable with kids.

We were seated quickly in the late afternoon on a nice Saturday, which was surprising. The service was good. The food was just so-so. My wife got the fish and chips. It came with 2 decent sized filets, but one was very thin and the other was thick-sort of looked like a processed piece with a hand-dipped one. Steak fries were nicely done. She got a cup of clam chowder which was fine. I ordered chicken wings with a lemon pepper rub and a side of fried mushrooms. The wings were ok in size, but very dry, grilled a bit too long and the rub had no flavor to speak of. The mushrooms, though, were very good! Our big complaint was about a drunken group of bar crawlers who were seated in the very front of the dining area, carrying their own drinks and loudly slurring like they'd just walked into a honkeytonk, dropping F-bombs and disrupting the atmosphere. The manager soon arrived to take away their outside drinks but then did nothing to inform these adults that they were in a family restaurant, not a reception hall. Their obnoxious noise drove us to finally take the rest of our food to go. It was disappointing that this issue wasn't quashed immediately. For the price, we don't recommend the place.

But it's a bit bold to charge the same amount as Northstar Cafe when the service experience is not nearly as premium. As a guest, you wait at the door to be seated, and you're standing there with a bunch of confused DoorDash drivers. You get a table that you have to trust is claimed for you, and then have to go stand in another line for counter service at the back. This line moves slowly because you can't see the menu until you are right by the counter, so people have to quickly figure out what they want when it's time to order... and to no surprise, this slows things down a lot. Even more frustrating is that this line to order overlaps with the exit point from the kitchen, so you have to dodge servers who are running hot food to tables. After you order, you have to wait in yet another line for the one beat up Coke Freestyle machine in a tiny crowded corner space. There is no space where guests can get extra napkins or to go boxes, and if you want a refill, you again have to wait to use the Coke machine. Once you pay, you are pretty much on your own to get anything you need -- and you have to stand in yet another tiny crowded space to wait for what you need. The overall ambiance is akin to a sports bar or a quick-service restaurant, but you're paying the premium price you'd pay at a full service upscale restaurant. And the food really does deserve that price... but the hospitality experience is just so lacking that I'm not willing to spend the money, which is frustrating considering these are all fixable issues. Koble really just has an identity crisis. Are you an upscale, full-service restaurant? Are you a quick-service lunch spot? Are you a sports bar? Please pick one and commit to it.

The manager, lied right to my face when she brought me new well done (as I originally asked for) bacon. She said..it looks like less bacon because it's cooked more well done!! What a stupid thing to say!! Do you think I'm an idiot and can't count??!!! She took away about 8 pieces of limp bacon and brought me 2.5 crispy pieces!!! Then..by the time all that happened..my obviously microwaved biscuit had turned to stone..couldn't eat it at all. My server said that her manager told her to charge me full price! I refused to pay $18 for something I couldn't eat. Eventually, after some arguing..we got it taken off the bill. No apologies, no other concessions...nothing! My daughter had the exact same issue with her BLT. She was charged and paid for nothing. After that experience..they lost 2 customers and more to follow I'm sure. Do they care? Not bloody likely. They will be going under soon unless they make changes quickly.

There were a lot of bodies waiting in the small area near the host desk and it was a little chaotic. Our server kept trying to bring us the wrong bottle of wine (we ordered a bottle of French bubbly and she kept coming back with a Riesling) so I am not sure if it was a disconnect or what. Eventually we received the correct bottle after taking the toast tab and pointing to the appropriate one on the POS. Our group enjoyed some small plates; the ceviche and the beet salad and hummus were all lovely. However, I ordered the kind of already overpriced lobster scramble. The portion was CRAZY. What I received was a 1.5" piece of lobster meat on top of what seemed to be less than one eggs' worth of pre blended egg. There was still liquid egg that hadn't been cooked in the pan and it was accompanied by three wedges of a Roma tomato with a handful of dressed arugula. For $29. I would hope at that price point, I would at least get 2 eggs worth. WILD. All in all, enjoyable experience but Cameron Mitchell should probably revise some of the portion sizes/menu items. And please, please, nobody order the lobster scramble and experience the same fate that I did.
