I stopped at Lavash Cafe while my mom was at a doctor's appointment at OSU because I was craving Greek or Mediterranean food, and I'm glad I chose this place! They had plenty of options, and since I had been wanting lamb for a while, I ordered the lamb kebab entrée. It came with pita, rice, a side salad, and roasted vegetables. Mine only had onions and peppers, but everything tasted really good. Their house-made hot sauce was absolutely delicious! Before leaving, I ordered food for my mother and grabbed a few desserts, including banana cream cheesecake and pistachio cream cake. They accidentally gave me a chocolate dessert instead of the banana cream, but it was okay. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and informative, which is something I really value at a restaurant. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, plus a more private area toward the back where I sat because I had homework to complete. Overall, I enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. We have eaten Take Out here twice in the last 3 weeks. The food was spectacular! I had heard about Lavash from our pharmacist at Kroger who is Palestinian. I asked her where I go could get good Palestinian food and she suggested trying Lavash. I was expecting a small family restaurant, but Lavash is a large restaurant that apparently does a lot of catering also. My wife and I love Middle Eastern food and I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. The Friday Special, Lamb Mencef was delicious and could easily feed a family of four, with several sides also. Basically it is large pieces of Lamb and lots of yellow rice, and a wonderful sauce, so you need to order (or make) side dishes too. We both are in our late 70's and no longer have large appetites, so this dish lasted through several meals. We both are from the Midwest and lamb is rarely on menus here in America, and the lamb on this dish is about as good as it gets. Very mild and not dried out. Another wonderful meal at Lavash! We ordered the meal for 2 which came with hummus, a few dips, pita and salad to start. The salad was sneaky delicious. One of those places that we wonder why we don't go more often every time we're there. The desserts are amazing - little cakes, cheesecakes, Palestinian specialties, etc. and of course the pre-dessert food is excellent, too. The kebabs are always moist and have just the perfect amount of char, and the gyro and shawarma are flavorful all the way through. The pita is always a highlight - fluffy, warm, and if you're dining in you'll usually be offered seconds if you polish off the first basket. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The dining room is a bit tight for how busy they are and can get very loud at peak times - if the weather is good there is a decent sized patio, but it would be nice to have a bit larger indoor space. read more

Service was friendly and efficient and the restaurant was clean but my food was just ho-hum. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was meat wrapped in Lavash bread with a tiny bit of lettuce on it and sauce on the side. The wrap was supposed to have tomatoes and that would have helped; onions would have helped, too. The sauce was flavorful but not enough to make a tasty sandwich. My family and I visited Lavash today, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Based on the restaurant's website, the service and atmosphere appeared to be worthy of a five-star establishment. However, the problems started the moment we walked in. No one greeted us, welcomed us, or showed us to a table. In most restaurants, a server comes to the table, introduces themselves, takes the order, and knows who ordered what. None of that happened here. We waited for a while, but nobody came to our table. We were not even given menus. Eventually, I had to ask someone what we were supposed to do, and I was told that we needed to look at the menu ourselves, place the order, and wait until the food was ready. At first, I thought that was simply how the restaurant operated. However, I later noticed that the staff went to another table, took their orders directly, and provided them with the kind of service that we never received. I have no idea why we were treated differently, but it certainly did not feel right. When the food finally arrived, different people brought out one plate at a time, and nobody knew who had ordered what. The waitress was unfriendly, dismissive, and unprofessional. She repeatedly walked away before we even had a chance to answer her questions. To make matters worse, the complimentary items that normally accompany some dishes were never brought to our table. The overall attitude of the staff made it seem as though serving customers was an inconvenience. The temperature inside the restaurant was also very uncomfortable, and it felt as though the air conditioning had either been turned off or was not working properly. One particularly unpleasant moment occurred when I politely said, "Excuse me," to add an order of French fries. Two employees repeated "Excuse me" loudly to one another and laughed. I found this behavior disrespectful, childish, and completely inappropriate in a restaurant that presents itself as a high-end establishment. In my opinion, the management does not seem to pay enough attention to customer service, and that attitude is clearly reflected in the behavior of the staff. Lavash is an expensive restaurant, but the quality of service we received was extremely poor. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. read more

Absolutely on of my favorite spots in Columbus :) The food, the vibe, the service are all top notch, all of the time. I like to change up what I eat here, but it always includes the Lentil soup and one of their delicious pastries. The Pistachio Baklava is a personal favorite! If you like spicy, then you MUST ask for some hot sauce. You don't know if it's available if you don't ask, and it is SO tasty and goes with absolutely everything on the menu! Also important to note that if you like having hummus in your fridge, it's worth getting a Large Hummus from here instead of the grocery. Price is comparable and the quality is so much better! I ordered UberEats from here while traveling for work. The food was delicious and a great portion size. My only complaint was the delivery person was on her phone, sitting in her car in my hotel's parking lot, with my food and I had to wait extra long for her to get out of her car so I could pick up my order from her; but this was not the restaurant's fault. I ordered the beef/lamb shawarma wrap in lavash bread and the fatoush salad. The salad was a big portion and came with crispy pita chips and soft pita bread. I was able to save the leftover salad to use for a meal the following day. The dressing for the salad was basic olive oil-based dressing, but it all tasted fresh! Everything here is great!! From food, to customer service, everything is just fantastic!! We have been to this place few times, and not once did anything in the place disappoint. We ordered various dishes, from spicy chicken Kefta platter, beef kabob skewers, hummus, baba Ghanoush, baklava, Turkish coffee, and etc. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. Few times we went, a gentleman came around (I think he may be the owner) and spoke to us to make sure we were ok and if we liked the food, and also offered by daughter cupcakes. And it wasn't just that gentleman, someone always came around to check up on us to see if we needed anything else. I've not eaten at the Lavash Cafe but have enjoyed takeout from the cafe. This is a Mediterranean inspired restaurant with a menu that includes many vegetarian options. The menu includes a nice variety of salads and sandwiches as well as some entrees. I have not tried any of the entrees but have enjoyed several of their sandwiches. Every person in your party will hold you in higher esteem if you make it so. My go to is the garlic chicken Kefta in a fresh pits wrap. Think gyro, but full of succulent, juicy, richly seasoned ground chicken balanced with fresh, crunchy greens with some hummus...add mellowing tahini to taste. I ordered the chicken shawarma. Pros: Good hummus with a great portion for a small order. The side salad delicious. The yellow rice with the shawarma was tasty. Cons: The chicken shawarma was not very good. I'd chalk it up to a bad night. It was extremely dry and lacking in flavor. The toum/garlic sauce was the saving grace. The food is delicious. I love the grape leaves and falafel. Any leftovers (if I have any!) Are equally wonderful... a number of my friends also enjoy Lavash. I do warn them of the business' politics, though. It's a pity Lavash has provided support to some unsavory organizations in the past. Due to their support in corecive organizations that shame people into activities such as door to door canvassing and telephone sales, I limit my time here to once a year. I kept hearing great things about this place and they were right! My husband even said it was the best Mediterranean food he's ever had! The lamb was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My only complain was that the side salad only had one grape tomato, one cucumber slice, and the rest was just lettuce. It's not spicy. It is seasoned, and there's a tiny bit of heat. Of course I like heat, so it might be a little more spicy for some people. Very heavily seasoned, tasty broth, with big chunks of tender chicken, plus tomatoes, carrots, olives etc. Came with perfect rice, some pickled veggies, a very good green salad, and pita. It seemed a little expensive until I ate it, and was absolutely stuffed when I was done. Excellent quality, plenty of quantity. Plus I got a tiny piece of pistachio baklava, which was also excellent. Service was good. The place is not huge, but I found a table at noon on a weekday. There's a little bit parking out front and a huge lot out back. I will gladly come again. read more
