Avocado toast with over easy egg and hash browns
Tara S.

First time here and while the ambiance was cheerful and the staff were friendly, ultimately I wasn't a fan of the food. I had the avocado toast with an egg and didn't particularly like the cowboy caviar and I thought the hash browns were over cooked.

Simple quality breakfast, outstanding service, and unbeatable price. Price $9.99 | Rating 10/10 Quick and early breakfast on my way home. Interior and exterior look great and there is parking in the back but don't miss the turn. Staff were so friendly with me and each other, checked on me, answered question, made jokes, and were always there when needed. Food selection was great with some unique items, I went for a omelette which came with toast and potatoes for $10. Very simple on flavor and cooking in the best way. Completely satisfied but not stuffed. They also have a "half bar" with beer and limited liquors but enough to enjoy a boozy brunch. Check was ready before I finished and I could have been in and out in 20 min if I wanted. With tip and tax I paid 14 and was VERY impressed. Would recommend to anyone!

I never got the chance to go to the old TeeJays but I figured since the business has stood the test of time, I better go support! Glad I did. Went with my family and had a delicious breakfast. Great service, and cool venue experience. Such a neat new location! My son loved his kids breakfast, and I was eyeing the cocktail menu. Would be a great Place to pregame with a hearty meal before an OSU game.

This location far exceeded my expectations and the staff is very friendly I got a chance to meet the manager she was very Hands-On came to the table served the table asked how your food was. My server her name was Candy she had the cutest little pigtails in her hair and of course being that it was on a Saturday all front staff had on a Buckeye attire... let's get down to the food. TJ's food never disappoints I'm sorry to hear that the Reynoldsburg location is closed. I I got the hen house special and my guest had Belgian waffle, hen house, grits, eggs over easy. All the food is very good it tastes wholesome and of course their famous gravy and biscuits is a HIT. Will return and I was told I should try the pineapple upside down French toast.

Visited Tee Jaye's for Sunday brunch, and I was happily impressed! I had never thought of going until it moved to this location, and I am glad I came out. To start, I want to give a big shoutout to our server Felicia, who was one of the best servers I've had in awhile. I ordered a Dr. Pepper and she let me know that when she tasted it earlier it was flat and did not have the 27 flavors I was looking for. She brought me a sample of it to see if I wanted it (she was correct, I went with a root beer). For any other pop lovers, you know how disappointing it is to get a flat/syrupy drink with your meal and Felicia made sure I avoided that tragedy. You can tell she really cares about her customers' experience! Now for the food-- We ordered the veggie scramble, sweet cream pancakes, and the hot chicken and cheesey grits. The sweet cream pancakes were some of the best I've had and the hot chicken and cheesey grits looked and tasted delicious (we LOVE Frank's Red Hot). The veggie scramble left something to be desired, as I probably could have cooked it at home, so it wouldn't be my first recommendation. However, the overall experience was so good I'm still giving 5 starts. Also they serve a pretty decent array of cocktails/beers/etc for a breakfast place! They have the same comfy booths and tables we all enjoyed at Bareburger, but brightened up the place with new, modern light fixtures, and breakfast murals. The garage doors let in tons of light, and the space feels bright and cheery overall. I think they hit the nail on the head in this location and will be bringing in a whole new crowd of younger breakfast lovers who enjoy a more modern look at an amazing price (not sure you'll find prices like this at the competing breakfast places in Clintonville).

Cornmeal Pancakes with butter

Finally had the Cornmeal Pancakes at Tee Jaye's and was delicious, tasty, and yummy. I had Sausage Patties and a Diet Pepsi with it to wash it down. I have had the Barnyard Buster twice and great meal, now Cornmeal Pancakes. I will get the Cornmeal Pancakes again at Tee Jaye's soon. The Barnyard Buster and Cornmeal Pancakes are now go-to meals at Tee Jaye's.

He's the one who suggested Wario's Way for the steak sandwich last time. The restaurant was pretty full and the patio had many happy patrons! This sandwich is a foot long and nearly 4" wide! The first thing I smell when I open up the halves is the pickle of homemade giardinera, solid amount of lunch meat and nice crisp from the shreduce (iceberg lettuce) and the relish. Be ready to unhinge your jaw to eat this sandwich! This is not something you can eat and drive at the same time, it's messy, but that's what makes it delicious. I ate 1/4 of Wario's way, 1/4 of the chicken cutlet, and maybe a few bites of of Wario's spuds and oh boy I was full. The service was great. Waited about 5 minutes for all of this. We really wanted Frenchi's, so we drove up to this OG location. No line which is great! A nice woman was working the counter. We got our sammies and brought them home. They were as solid as always, but there's some things I have to note: Frenchi himself always made our sandwiches to perfection. Toasted, hot, perfectly made. The two times we had another employee make them, they are just different. Same ingredients, but different ratios maybe? Today my husbands Eiffel came super toasty and meats/cheese heated up in a microwave (or toaster oven maybe?) My Buckeye always used to come warm, but only if Frenchi made it. Twice now, I got barely toasted and my meat wasn't warmed at all. Also, man I loveeee the house made chipotle mayo but today was just way too much sauce. Yes, I should have spoken up about what I specifically wanted, but part of my reviews need to include things like consistency. Today was fine, but not the 5 star I've come to expect. One star off for the other location being closed and not posted anywhere. One star off for inconsistent sandwiches.

Couple things worth noting: it's tucked inside a neighborhood bar on Indianola. Parking can be tricky but there's more around back and just down a bit closer to Savor. Inside the bar, just head to the back inside window to order. They have a menu with some notes and updates, also. Seems chicken sandwiches will be back soon which might be the thing I try next. Also, on Saturdays, you can order a pound of chicharron for $20. A bit about costs: I think it's a bit expensive. A single empanada is $5. There are price breaks for larger quantities ordered. Italian sub and double patty burgers are each $13. The Appolonia Italian is a decent size, but the buger, even with double patty, felt small. The service is super friendly! The quality of their offerings is much higher than average. Everything tasted really good, no notes. The spicy Italian is a bit spicier than I prefer with their version of a giardiniera on it, but Mr loved it. All in all, a generous 4. I'd get it again and recommend it with my notes so you know what to expect. (Sorry I forgot a pic of the burger)

The menu when I stopped by recently at the Pearl Alley Market was limited to just three sandwiches: turkey bahn mi, ham and swiss, and their 21 day reserve corned beef. I had been kind of in the mood for a ruben even before I saw the cart, so it was like a sign from above. Corned beef it was. And boy was it delicious. Cut fairly thick, the sandwich had a hearty (but not obnoxious) measure of meat. It was griddled so that the cheese melted and held everything together. I opted for a roll instead of the rye bread on the menu. I'm not sure where they source the bread, but it was excellent with a nice crust and softer interior bite. The quality of the corned beef was top notch, some of the best I've had recently. I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. Nor would I hesitate to seek them out elsewhere. According to the operator of the cart, they also have a breakfast menu which they're currently serving on Saturdays at the Clintonville Farmers market. Some of the things he described as on the menu were quite enticing. All in all? A fantastic new addition to Columbus.
