The scrambled eggs were flat and flavorless- how do scrambled eggs even get flat?! My sausage was ice cold in the middle which tells me that someone forgot to microwave it. Because it certainly wasn't cooked fresh. My "artisan sourdough" toast was no such thing. It was commercial grade sourdough that was toasted just long enough to melt butter. Also don't let the fancy syrup bottle fool you- its Mrs Butterworths corn syrup. Places like that should at least carry both real maple syrup and the fake stuff. As we were seated our server started off kind and friendly, serving us our food and drinks within a reasonable time. However upon delivery, the coffee was noticeably old and my egg was served well done instead as poached as requested, when we brought it to the waiters attention she seemed annoyed with us and was hesitant to take it back to remake it. Ok I've never really been a fan of their food because it's usually under seasoned for my taste. However, I bring my wife for here birthday every year. Well, she likes it more than I do. So normally I go and just enjoy the view of looking at her. This time I ordered steak and eggs and she ordered the veggie delight omelette. For me the eggs just don't have the flavor Im used too. Please understand I have strong southern roots and our eggs have big flavor. Moreover when you walk into a breakfast spot the entire place smells like breakfast. That smell that wakes you in the morning. That smell thank makes you come downstairs without brushing your teeth just to see what's cooking. This place just doesn't have any of that. I have to add tons of hot sauce and pepper to whatever I order. However I greatly enjoy looking at my wife in this well lite place. Her smile and Convo makes me feel alive. My daughter and I met up with a couple friends for an early morning breakfast. At 830 in the morning, we were greeted promptly, and seated immediately. My daughter ordered a muffin and a bowl of fruit. She said it was the best muffin she'd ever had, and that is quite a compliment! I ordered the avocado omelette with hash browns and toast. It was excellent. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, until the breakfast crowd rolled in, but I understand and she really did do her best. I love that this is an option for breakfast because we didn't have many choices in the area until they came along, other than Bob Evans or IHOP. The food is definitely healthier than most breakfast - brunch - lunch places. The atmosphere and service is a little sub par, though, which detracts from the menu. Even the coffee is somewhat blah. That should tell you something. If anything stands out, it's Scrambler's hotcakes and egg plates. It's hard for any AM meal to be messed up much, unless you go to Burger King...YUCK! I don't want to steer you away from this place. Just beware that it's located in a part of town that's seen its better days and is at the end of an old, dilapidated strip mall. My daughter LOVED the blueberry waffle. She likes when the blueberries are in the batter and cooked - not just thrown on top afterword. Ok I wanted to give three stars but my husbands breakfast was pitiful. As a matter of fact we thought he accidentally got a kids meal version of the corned beef hash. It was way over salted and obviously from a can. Ewwwww yuck but the eggs were cooked right and the wheat toast was good per him. I on the other hand got the Eye Opener with hash browns and wheat toast. If not for the onions and over salting of my dish it would have no flavor which is sad because it looked so good. More pepper less salt would of made this much better. I have been coming here for years, never a bad meal. I sincerely hope this visits experience is a fluke. I'll keep in mind it was the day of the big game - OSU and the team up north. The place was packed. This is not unusual for a Saturday. The staff - hostess and busboy were ridiculously slow. The 45 minute wait could have been avoided if these two would have done their jobs. They appeared inexperienced in their positions, this was not a good day to break in new employees. The hostess appeared lethargic, no welcoming greeting from her! Also, the complimentary coffee in the waiting area was completely empty, not good when you have 15 people waiting for tables. The menu, as usual, offers a variety of breakfast/brunch choices. Portions and pricing are good. A nice selection in the "liter side" choices. I chose what appeared and sounded delicious, the seafood crepe. Wrong! First bite, was good, downhill from then on! All artificial ingredients - imitation crab and lobster, with the thickest gravy-like hollandaise sauce. Blah! Bad choice, for sure! I still give this place a four star, the waitress made up for what was lacking in the hostess/busboy's duties. My breakfast choice was unrealistic, do you really think you're going to get real crab/lobster at a breakfast chain restaurant of this caliber? Obviously not. All the other choices are pretty good, I've made it my mission to try them. One bad day will not keep me from returning, I'll never, ever order the seafood crepe again! read more

Came here a few weeks ago before an Arbonne event for breakfast and it was okay. I generally go to the one in Gahanna as it's closer to my house, but this one was on the way. The waitress was kind've "to the point" and not overly friendly. I ordered the french toast (which is supposedly bottomless) and could've went for a few more pieces. Before I could even ask for more (which I really didn't need), she brought the check. I felt hurried and HATE to be rushed! The quality of the food, etc. is still good! I've never had any complaints foodwise. But.....think I'll stick with the Hamilton Rd. location in Gahanna. Two stars is the best I can do. read more

I started coming to this place because I stared dating a manager that worked here, and let me tell you, I am sure glad I did. I never knew this place even existed because it sits back off the road behind a strip club, and well I never really go to strip clubs so I had never ran into it. Anywho, I have had several items from this location. The club sandwich is great. I love the giant roll thing they serve it on. It is so big, I usually get at least two meals out of it. The smart bird is another one of my favorites (it is big as well). I personally have never ordered the breakfast, however, my kids love their chocolate chip pancakes & sausage. They order it every time. If my husband and I say we want to go out for lunch/dinner my kids will frequently ask to come here. With a name like that you're really expecting something special.I was expecting a slab of ham, some sausages and eggs, probably way more food than I could manhandle as a 6 foot 2 hungry man. The reality was a cruel joke. I received a small to medium plate of which the contents were just 95% potato chunks with melted cheese on top. Very sparingly mixed in were tiny little ham and sausage cubes, indiscriminately placed such that they were nearly unnoticed. It must have cost them about 75 cents to prepare that meal. read more

Scrambler Marie's is... OK. It was a little hard to figure out where it was at first. It's at the very end of the strip mall behind the Sirens strip club. Went here for the first time today for brunch with a friend. I was kind of excited, because others had told me they liked this place. Plus the menu looked really good! I considered getting the bottomless pancakes but then didn't because I really wanted some eggs too. So I got one of those standard pancakes + egg + meat + potatoes combos. And I was so glad I did. Because at least the eggs and sausage were good (hard to mess up). But the pancakes... I was not a fan at all. They were very heavy and kind of bland. Not nearly as good as IHOP or Sunny Street, or even Bob Evans. The hash browns were also a little too crispy. I think the only thing keeping me from giving them a 2 was that my friend seemed to love her bottomless french toast. And I want to believe that their pancakes can't always be that bad and they were having an off day. Maybe I need to just stay away from their pancakes? I dunno. But as long as better breakfast options exist, I probably won't be back. read more

We had a great experience here! It was pretty busy but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Our server was Bryan. He genuinely seems to love his job and did a great job taking care of us. He had a smile on his face the entire time we were there, he checked in occasionally but not too much, and promptly brought us everything we needed. The food was fantastic and came out very quickly! My family and I went to Scrambler's yesterday for a graduation brunch. We were all wedged into their party room of about 35 and I have never felt like a sardine in my life!!! It's a great place if you like cold eggs with no toast and a screwed up bill. I ordered 2 eggs over with toast. The eggs came out and I had to ask where my toast was 3 times. They finally brought my toast 10 minutes later, so I sent the cold eggs back. Then a snotty woman, who acted like she was the manager, came out and asked if everything was OK. When I said no (still waiting on redone eggs at this point), she said I was being negative and walked off in a huff. When I got the bill, I was charged for 2 orders of toast. Finally, the manager came out and he was wonderful. Great guy with fantastic customer service. He comped my bill and was very apologetic which I appreciated. The food here is pretty good for a cheap breakfast/lunch place. It has become sort of a tradition with my old roommate and I to meet here for breakfast once every month or two to catch up and shoot the breeze or cure our hangovers. I always get one of the skillet dishes when I'm there: The Flag City. Potato chunks on the bottom, diced onion/bacon/tomato, swiss melted on top, and two basted eggs on top of that, with a side of toast. I get it every time I go. Can't get enough of it. read more
