Normally, I love this place, but had a really bad time this time. My friend and I got there (Friday morning, after 9) and the waiter took us to our seats took our drink order and came back with the coffee for me but not my friend. He hadn't been paying attention (the waiter). So he brought back a cup for my friend and we looked at the menu. He came back asked if we were ready and I said I was ready, my friend said he wasn't but I could go first and he would know then. Waiter left again. I watched him interact with other customers, his body language was terrible, and at one table he was frowning the whole time he took their order. I asked when he came back about the seasonal flavor, there are signs all over about their free coffee. "We don't have a seasonal flavor right now...pause...oh yeah we have this jamaka me crazy thing right now but its not the best." (really that's his description). Wife and I went to Scramblerd for the 1st and last time today. After going thru an exhausting menu we both ordered variation of eggs. I had the Big Country breakfast. When mine arrived it looked good until I moved the gravy hiding the eggs and almost questioned if they had even see a skillet. Yellow was cold and whites were clear and so very runny. I mentioned to the waitress that I really couldn't eat eggs that clear. Her smart assed answer was "you should have ordered them medium or well done. Ssomeone please educate these idiots on salmonella and raw eggs! Wife got a omelet and had to complain about it being cold. Waitress needs to understand she don't speak to customers in a challenging fashion. I simply said I would return when they learned to cook. I lied! I won't be back period!!! read more

I stopped in for breakfast today, and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't packed, like it is on the weekend, and I got a table right away. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was hot and tasty. It's just a breakfast place, it's not gourmet or anything, but you can't beat two plates worth of decent food for $4.99. I have recently frequented this new Marie Scrambler's in North Westerville. The first few times I did so, I thought the service was good and the food was passable. However, today I went with a disabled friend and I WILL NEVER go back!! We ordered waffles which took about a half hour to arrive. When we asked why it was taking so long, they made excuses. Also, I was shocked at the price for two waffle orders. Too much for the time we waited, and the staff was patronizing. WILL NEVER frequent this place again!! read more

We've been going to Scrambler's for so long that we don't consider any other place. Solid breakfast choices all across the board, all you can eat pancakes, fancy pancake flavor of the month, and every other classic breakfast you can think of. They have several good hearty lunch choices, but breakfast is the way to go. Their link breakfast sausage is my personal favorite food item. We nicknamed their coffee "the foglifter" and having a pot on the table is more than convenient for refills. I typically order the American; three eggs (over easy for me), meat (two sausage links), potato (I go with chunks over shreds), and bread (english muffin white). The servers are always polite and friendly, even when the room gets busy. NOTE: Try to get there before noon on the weekends. The crowd is smaller and the food is better. Service was very slow. The food was amazing. I feel like the server kind of forgot about us. First she took forever to take out drink order. Then another 20 mins to come back and take our food order. And we sat for another 45 mins to wait for our check. Meanwhile the table next to us she seemed to know and between the time she took to give us our bill and come back to take it so we could actually pay she had gotten their order and food to them. read more

Really wish this place had longer hours. It's rare to find breakfast food this good and it would be nice to have it in the evenings. The omelettes are my favorite very well made and seasoned right. The pork sides are always good and everything is priced well. It's very hit and miss on the service but they try. You'll want to avoid Sundays and holidays or you'll get the annoying church folks who camp at their tables for hours and complain about everything. If you have a weekday off it's worth it to go out of your way to enjoy a good breakfast here. read more

Had a party of 24 and high chair that I needed to accommodate. Called at 8:30 Sunday morning for a call ahead for 10:00. Josh was polite and assured me that they would do their best to accommodate. Upon arrival, our table was available and ready for our large group. Thanks Josh. Bryan our server greeted us and was on go the entire time. The food came out of the kitchen at the right pace and the entire staff pitched in to deliver food, clear plates and bring refills. We could not have been more pleased. This place has become one of my go-to places after a Saturday morning long run to refuel. Where else can you get amazing all-you-can eat french toast or gourmet pancakes for less than $7?!? I've enjoyed dining at the Cleveland Ave. Scrambler Marie's on many occasions; however today (8/29/15), was not the case. My husband ordered French Toast. Server forgot the syrup. I ordered a Ham and Cheese Omelette with Sourdough toast. Server forgot my toast. Waited an extremely long time to order and for food to arrive at table. Lousy service and cold food. I was very disappointed. Next time I'll go to the Polaris location for breakfast. The 6152 Cleveland Ave. location should be avoided when busy. read more

This place is horrible! I've been there 3 times over the past 2 yaers, every time we've had to wait AT LEAST 30 minutes after ordering to get our food. Today was the last time I'll be going there. 2 of us ordered the bacon cheese burger and substituted a salad instead of fries. We ordered no tomatoes on either burger or salads, tomatoes was on everything. Another ordered the burger medium rare, it was well. The burgers had no kind of seasoning, just a blah chunk of hamburger. We didn't want to send it back for the correct orders because we didn't have another 35 minutes to wait. This place. One word. Awful. Seriously. Awful. I've been here twice, shame on me. First time, I ordered a salad. The menu described it as mixed greens, but what showed up was a bowl of iceberg lettuce with four, strategically placed, wilted pieces of spinach. I took one look at it and immediately told the waiter, "This isn't what I ordered." Utter confusion. "It's the salad you ordered." Sorry bud, but this is all iceberg lettuce. "Where's the mixed greens?" Nothing. I ask for the manager. An obviously perturbed woman comes over. "What's the problem?" I explain and she then proceeds to tell me that iceberg lettuce is mixed greens. Sorry lady, they're not. She asks if the problem is the serving size. Do I want more? My reply, "More iceberg lettuce? No, I want the mixed greens described on the menu." We go back and forth, finally she relents. "Well, this is how we make it." Rude, irresponsible, horrible service. See ya, bye-bye. Fast forward a year later. my companion wants breakfast. Go to two other places, but it's a long wait. Finally, I give in, "Let's go to Scramblers." We walk in. No hostess. We stand there. It's 9:30am, on a Sunday, the place if half full... that will tell you something. We wait. Several minutes pass. Finally, the manager (not the one from my first visit) who had looked at us twice before, comes over. "Have you been waited on?" Really?! "No," we reply. We're told it will be a few minutes as tables need to be cleaned. I look around and see several clean, vacant tables. Huh?! She turns, walks to the middle of the restaurant, and yells that she has a table for us. We walk past a half dozen more clean tables and are seated in another section, with five tables, three of which are clean and unoccupied. The little voice inside my head was screaming for me to leave. Lord, why don't I listen to that voice? The waiter service was good, the only redeeming quality to the whole place. So let's wrap up this review. My monte cristo sandwich was barely heated and not even close to grilled. To top it off, they topped it off with powdered sugar. Powdered sugar... on a sandwich?! I said something to the poor kid serving this nonsense and he offered to take it back, but I cannot imagine it would be any better the second time around. Speaking of second time around, my companion's pecan waffle tasted like it had been cooked ahead of time and microwaved for service. I'm not kidding, she HAD to use a knife to cut it. Bad, bad, bad. Been coming here for years now and love the breakfast choices. Recently brought my 83 year old Mother in and the hostess asked if it was OK to seat her in an area where several steps needed to be climbed. That was very thoughtful and is consistent with the courtesy the staff and management have shown every time we visit. Great place! read more
