Food was incredible. The gyros are cheap and delicious. Can't believe I didn't try it sooner

I had just come from PT and was hungry. I did a Yelp search and this is the 1st Pl., Yelp directed me too, so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did I was probably greeted by the hostess. Whom placed me at a very nice table. I looked over the menu, which had a little something for everybody. To be honest I liked that, plus there wasnt an over abundance of items... it was that goldilocks moment... just right. I decided to try the grape leaves. I asked if they had made them themselves and they did -which is what pushed me in the direction. You get two very stuffed grape leaves --that are definitely made in house. I was not really a fan of the lemon sauce that they use. I didnt dislike it, I felt it was a tad too thick and not enough lemon. However, I seemed to eat all of it, which is something I dont do at most places, so despite it needing more lemon I must of liked it more than I initially realized. As far as ambience, it still has the footprint of the former sushi restaurant. the bar is completely unchanged. however, they have these lovely little lilac flowers or Japanese cherry flowers hanging from trellises throughout the entire back dining room. makes it look lovely. This transforms it into its own identity. i liked it. They had soft music playing. I wasn't sure if it was Mediterranean or Spanish, but I enjoyed it. I liked my time there The one thing that needs mentioned is the pricing of the salad proteins. This is confusing. I was going to order a salad but the menu had it listed the price of a salad. Them below protiens. The price listed on menu is not in addition to salad. Its the final price of the salad. I did not realize that and thus didnt order the salad. I also didn't like being quoted 10.80 for my total and then having it changed because I used American Express to 11 something. Personally, I feel businesses should make it a little easier for their customer in the cost of doing business should be at the restaurants expense in that situation. I probably would've tipped more had they not popped up my price Tbo Would I come back? absolutely. However, I will bring cash the next time so my bill doesnt go up. Lol. read more

Miamar Grill delivered a truly outstanding experience today. We went with two chopped salads, one topped with beef and one with salmon, and both were excellent. The salmon was cooked just right, and the beef was tender and juicy. The salad itself was fresh and flavorful, not an afterthought. The owner, Elena, came out to chat with us at the end of our meal, which was a nice touch and says a lot about the place. She also mentioned their Mother's Day special, 10% off your total bill plus a free dessert for Mom. It's a great balance of fresh and filling, which isn't always easy to find. Wow - I was really impressed with this new restaurant. I seldom find a place that merits a 5-star rating but Miramar Grill certainly merits a 5-star rating. We were here on a Saturday night. The service was excellent and the food was great. I ordered the Pastitisco. My wife makes a pretty wicked pastitsco at home and I've had it in a number of Greek restaurants and at the Greek Festival. Miamar's version was right up there with the best I've tried. My wife had the grape leaves entree and we both had side salads. All was good. The decor is really nice, sort of classy. Everything was great. I've already made reservations to bring my dine-out group here (a group of 30 friends who eat out together once a month). read more

The place is beautiful! Staff...helpful and knowledgeable. But the food... Absolutely best I've had in a while!! A new gem for Westerville. I had the potato pancake, with chicken, red cabbage and garlic sauce. It's an appetizer but it was my lunch. So so good!! Hubs had the gyro salad. It was huge. He could barely finish it! Miramar Grill is THE hidden gem of Westerville! The food is fantastic! Their calamari is the best we've had. The creamy garlic dressing is so good that they would make a fortune if they bottled it. It's perfect for both the fresh salads and the gyro pitas! Food portions are generous, and the quality is quickly apparent. On the service end, Orlando took great care of us. My wife and I ate here tonight after seeing it on Columbus Foodies, and we're so glad we did! The vibe is cool and relaxing, and both the service and food were amazing. Our server brought out a potato pancake for us to try--it was ridiculously good! The cabbage had a nice tang, the chicken was cooked perfectly, the pancake base was light, and the sauce tied everything together beautifully. My wife had the salmon with rice and absolutely loved it--she said it's a dish she'll crave again. I went with the Parmesan-crusted chicken and linguine, and everything was cooked perfectly. The sauce was flavorful without being overly sweet. We finished with a slice of Limoncello cake, which was the perfect ending--not heavy, not too sweet, just fresh, bright flavors in every bite. you have GOT to try this place! We went for a Valentine's Day lunch and we were not disappointed! Very elegant and comfortable dining area, service was outstanding. Their Valentine's Day menu had everything we were looking for. My wife tried the hummus, best we've ever had. I had the grouper, large portion with an amazing sauce. She had the chicken parm and we were both impressed with the marinara. The special menu included a dessert, we had the chocolate cake and it was perfect. Can't say enough good things. Found this place browsing yelp! And I am so glad I did. Wanted to try absolutely everything but ended up with the hummus, spicy feta, spinach pie, moussaka and grape leaves. Staff were friendly and helpful, service was fast but not too fast, with Orlando being a great table host! We had two fantastic dishes, really tasty and enjoyable, loved the portion sizes too, not huge, which is often the norm these days. We finally got the chance to stop by this restaurant tonight. We live around the corner and it's been on my radar for a while. The service and ambiance were both top notch. Tried Miamar for the first time and it was carry out. Worst gyro I've ever had. No flavor and dry. Seafood bisque was a fish stew run thru and emersion blender. Texture was course and heavy on tomato. This was not a bisque. Someone in the group got the fish and chips and chip were soggy potato chips. Person gave up after partially eating one of the two pieces of fish and closed the container. Wife got the parmesan crusted chicken and was not pleased. read more

I'm visiting my daughter here in Westerville. We choose this new place to have dinner since it had such great reviews. They definitely impressed. We sat at the bar and met the owner. She was very sweet telling us about the dishes we had questions on. We ended up sharing the potatoe pancake and the Moussaka. They were both amazingly delicious. They flavors were subtle but all the ingredients mingled delightfully together. The decor is warm and inviting. read more

This is my second review of Miramar on my second visit. Our first visit was for dinner, which was excellent; this time we went for lunch. A plug for their Lunch Special: $15 for any sandwich (Reuben exempted), fries, and a drink. Excellent value, made especially good for the quality of my sandwich choice, the Grilled Chicken Pita. I neglected to take a picture, but I should have to showcase the massive size of it. I started by hand but finished by fork as it was just too much to handle. Packed full of very fresh, crisp chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and onions blanketing 4-6 oz of the most tender grilled chicken chunks you can imagine. Seasoned so well, with a light dressing that just accentuated the mix of flavors, and all on a fluffy, fresh pita. It was a lot of food and flavor, I can't wait to try it again! The fries were fresh, hot and crisp, and generously portioned. And the ice tea was clear and refreshing. For $15, that is very hard to beat, especially given the extreme quality and warm, peaceful atmosphere. My wife loves a good Reuben and chose to forego the special and give it a shot. She was very impressed with its freshness and generous portion of meat. We left talking about how people are missing out if they're overlooking this restaurant and especially this lunch special LOL. read more

We discovered this brand new (8/19) restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. I had the sea scallops and my husband had the shrimp skewer. Both tasted so fresh and flavorful. But after tasting an offered sample of the creamy garlic sauce, I fell in love and put it on my rice and some of my husband's skewer veggies. For dessert we had tiramisu and lemoncello cake. Both were delicious. The owner was lovely and delightful as we has a nearly private dinner with time to talk to her. She said the liquor license transfer will be completed soon. In the fall she will be expanding the menu further into dishes from her restaurant experience. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be returning read more
