Service charge was for credit card processing. Really???
    Todd P.

One star for our friendly server, nice decor and convenient online waitlist process, but otherwise a forgettable dining experience. $38 plus tip (and a $1.05 credit card processing service fee...because the 900% margin on coffee and eggs wasn't enough) for a breakfast that was lukewarm and barely edible. Pancakes were forgettable on every level, and small enough to be overlooked. Even the server said sarcastically, "I know, pretty impressive, right ?" when she placed the plate on the table. I guess I should be appreciative that I found a grilled shrimp in my potatoes. It was like the prize in a box of stale Cracker Jacks. Good thing I don't have a shellfish allergy. I am happy to pay a premium for a superior dining experience - elevated service and food quality. This was simply terrible value for a commodity breakfast. Waffle House has equal or better quality at a fraction of the price. At least First Watch gives you a pancake as large as the plate! I'm rarely this critical, but this was so disappointing. Needless to say, I won't be back and can't recommend others spend their dining dollars here.

The pumpkin crunch waffle was delicious!! Looks nothing like the photo but the taste was a 10/10. The eggs and bacon were also cooked perfectly. We came in on a Saturday, it was very busy so be sure to call or book in advance. Our server was very nice too. The Vanilla cold brew is delicious, but it comes in a smaller mug. My only complaint would be that it was pricey for being so small. Overall, a very good spot for breakfast!

Order the Pitcher of mimosas if you have 2 or more people. Great food. Not a very long wait to be seated. Staff was friendly.

Quaint brunch spot in the easton shopping center area. Not too busy and has solid southern style breakfast/brunch options. I really liked their black pepper hot sauce/dipping sauce. Also, thought there mugs were adorable!

Grits shouldn't stay still in a pile. Even with cheese

Grits were terribly dry, like nearly a solid mass. Think TJays sausage gravy that's sat all day. Iykyn Columbus. Poached eggs were cooked hard and the centers were oddly colder than the outside. Could we be using pre-cooked, heated up to order eggs? The coffee was like tea. You cannot have bad coffee at a breakfast spot. Finally, the service was subpar. We didn't see the server from the time she dropped off the food until she picked up the plates. One coffee refill. :( She did comp one of the two hash brown Benedict's we had. There is that.

This was my first time here with my mom and dad. The atmosphere is very nice and place was very clean. We enjoyed our food and it appeared to be a popular brunch spot. But our server was abismal. He kept forgetting what we asked for and when we asked for something simple like water he would forget and he would just be standing in the corner and not doing anything. It was quite the annoying experience to say the least. Everything took way longer than it should have.

Looked forward to coming here as it was recommended by a friend. It's busy on a Saturday morning so be prepared to wait on the weekends. I'm not sure if they take reservations. Nice interior. They have a covered patio which probably becomes uncovered in the summer. A nice spot to be on a sunny day. Food was good but I was probably expecting more. Our party had the same impressions. Service was good, especially for a busy day.

We wanted to try out a new weekend spot in Easton, and we're aware it would be busy. However, we were not prepared for how right the tables were packed in, it was uncomfortable. Other tables that were seated after us with similar party sizes had there food way before our party of 2. Then my meal came out as the wrong dish (a sausage sandwich instead of the chicken one). It was a quick fix, but I will say even with the correct meal, it completely lacked seasoning. And I did not get the promised pickle the menu states is served with it. The other meal we got was a special and had the same issue, it was blan, and flavorless. Not sure if the kitchen was too busy to handle service or what happened. Willing to try this place again, but it'll be a while. And I may bring my own salt and pepper, because the table was also out of that, another indicator other guests had the same issue.

Yum yum yum. Yes yes yes. I lovedddd this place !! Now keep in mind they are BUSY on Sundays and don't do reservations. You put your name on a list approx 15 min before you'd like to have your meal and they will lyk once a table is free for you. Once seated, the service was quick! They rlly want to get you in and out which i can appreciate. My only critique is that my buddy didn't get his drink in time and was still charged for it so they put it in a to go cup which is a bit concerning if someone were to drive home after. Finally .. the food was bomb af. I was contemplating how they could make an omelette thatttt good! I ate the whole thing pretty much. The fruit could be a little more fresh but besides that, i enjoyed my meal.

Great food and menu but... As a job candidate.. NOPE. Had interview set for over a week then spent time and gas going to interview to be told they filled the position last week? How unprofessional and their loss I would have been a great addition to the BOH team and their loss.....sad.

The sandwich for the crab cake benedict is a little tough but the portion was pretty filing overall. The city grit had green onions and bacon on it. The hot chocolate feela little watery and would taste a lot better with a heavier chocolatey taste in it. The service and atmosphere was pretty okay overall. The servers were polite and helpful

    Bloody Mary
    Katie N.

Came on Friday for brunch with friends and there was a short wait, but we got sat quicker than they estimated. I got a Bloody Mary and my 2 friends shared a carafe of mimosas which was more than they needed. I got the gluten free pancakes- so excited to see this option. I got the gluten free goat cheese lemon pancakes and the were so good! I love that they came with eggs cause I always have a hard time choosing between sweet and savory for breakfast. And since I'm vegetarian, I was able to get a fruit cup though I could've chosen potatoes or grits. It was a tough decision because the grits looked great! My friends both went with Benedict one with a hash brown Benedict, which looked very good and I would like to try in the future and my other friend got the crabcakes Benedict. Everyone was very happy with the meal. I think it was a little bit pricey, but would come back again. Service was fine not exceptional, but not bad either.

Fantastic. The food is amazing. It takes a southern feel with a coast-to-coast variety. I was afraid it was going to be too bougie for me and my family, but I was wrong. I highly recommend to anyone who comes through Columbus. Its worth going out of your way for.

We were greeted by our server, Angel, who was friendly with just the right amount of sarcasm -- quick-witted and fun, never over the line. It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was definitely filling up, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed. The space itself is dimly lit, nicely decorated, and has a bit of an upscale feel without being stuffy. The menu offers a solid variety, from appetizers and salads to burgers, poultry, seafood, and steaks. Instead of bread, they start you off with house-made pickles, which I personally loved -- as a pickle fan, I didn't miss the bread at all. For my meal, I went with the 1977 Burger, ordered medium rare, topped with sautéed mushrooms, a fried egg, Havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. At Ted's you can choose beef or bison, and I went with the bison. I also added a side of horseradish mayo, which really took the burger up a notch. The burger comes with fresh-cut fries or a side, and they offer a half fries, half onion rings option -- an easy choice for me. My wife went a bit more upscale with a filet, cooked medium well, and chose asparagus and Parmesan broccoli for her sides. She brought a cake to celebrate both birthdays, so we skipped dessert, but Angel surprised us with a couple of complimentary bowls of ice cream to go with the cake, which was a really nice touch. The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because my wife's steak initially came out undercooked and her sides were cold. That said, once it was sent back, everything came out hot, cooked correctly, and she really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a very good dining experience with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend Ted's Montana Grill for a nice night out and would happily return.

This one didn't offer one, which was a general disappointment (and offering to be might benefit them-- the place was dead for most of the two hours we were there). The space is beautiful and luxurious: a lovely fountain is in the center and signature chandeliers fill the dining area. I was a little disappointed that the choices of seating were were given -- though the place was empty-- was either a very small table (so small our servers apologized for having to awkwardly stack things as dishes came out) or a table attached to the only other large party dining there. Felt like a very strange choice. Also, while the place is very upscale and very expensive, that vibe was somewhat at odds with other diners who did arrive in what literally looked like old pajama pants and workout gear. The food was all good, but portions are very small for the big prices: entrees are all in the $50 range, sandwiches in the $30 range. A "petite" baked potato (which is petite indeed) was $14; burrata was $26. It was fine, but you can have a true consistently upscale experience elsewhere for those kinds of prices. I'd come back -- if there was a happy hour!

We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. This place has earned a lot of goodwill from us over time, but we wanted to share this experience in case it's helpful for others.

For a restaurant at this price point and prestige, I was disappointed and will defer me from going there for brunch in the future. Instead I got three sides - applewood bacon, potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed with the potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. The potatoes had a sauce on them that felt heavy and was unexpected - I wouldn't order them again (my friends who also had them with the bacon BLT said the same and in the future would ask for a different side) and the oven veggies were a bit saucy and tangy. The perception of what you will receive based on the name does not match what is presented. I've been to a Coopers Hawk for dinner several times and really enjoyed it, but this was a miss for me.

Well... let me just say..... I was looking forward to this time at Coopers Hawk with friends. We…read moreplanned this a month ago. Reservations made. We got there at noon and we were seated. Great. Our server Ava greeted us and took our drink orders. I got the Brunch Sangria. So good. Actually 3 of us got one. Things were moving along. She came back around we put our order in. That was probably around 12:20. Making great time. I got a side salad. A friend got the Wedge. That came out in good timing. It was pretty good. This is when things went left. Around 1:30pm.... The entrees came out. I got the chicken potstickers. The temp on them was ok. But the other meals were cold. Yall... their meals were inedible. We waited all that time for their food to be cold. Not only that there was no check-in being done from our server. Felt kind of neglected. The manager came over to apologize after it was asked if they could have food that was hot. He seemed sorry. But it kind of put a damper on the meal. This is not a cheap place. Expectations are high. They were busy. Totally understand. However to serve cold food is not cool at all. Like I said I ate my potstickers. They were delicious. Could have been a hotter temperature for sure. But it is what it is. Will I go back? Yes. Definitely with the hope of better.

This was our first visit to Mastro and overall it was very good…read more We were seated within a couple of mins of arriving -- should be expected but a lot of Columbus area restaurants these days make you wait an additional 15-20 mins because they haven't managed the reservations appropriately. The server was friendly and explained the menu in detail. My Mastro Manhattan and my wife's Pinot noir were excellent (very large pours too!). The bread service comes at a nominal charge -- looked a lot better than it tasted--could be improved. The shrimp appetizer was delicious but on the heavy side. We shared the 22oz bone in ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, was tender and delicious. I really enjoyed the steak even thought we weren't able to finish it all. The side sautéed spinach was pretty good as well. The ambiance is nice and festive -- a little unusual to have so many TVs on for a higher end steakhouse -- but I didn't mind it at all. I look forward to returning.

What a disappointment. I'll tell you why. The interior is beautiful. The clientele could be eating at Applebees. They have a dress code and it is not enforced...at all. Baseball hats, jeans, street wear and clothing that leaves nothing to the imagination. The interior is crowded with tables and we were on top of all the women at the bar looking for company. The entryway is small and, although I had a reservation, we were forced to stand shoulder to shoulder with 16 other people waiting for tables while the waitstaff maneuvered across and through us and the hostess stand with placesettings and trays of food. We waited 20 minutes for our table to be ready. At that point, I knew we were in trouble. Once seated, the music was so loud that people had a hard time hearing at our table. Waitress was fine but not attentive and did not warrant the tip I left on an almost $500 bill. The restaurant felt overly crowded and the management felt like it was, at times, scrambling; other times, they were standing at the bar socializing. Lobster bisque was too salty and had to be sent back. It was not replaced or credited to my bill. An offer to do either would have been appreciated. Steaks were very good, as well as the broccolini, macaroni and cheese and the baked potato. Mastro's charges expensive prices and this location needs to have management raise the standards to create an elevated experience that matches the food and decor. Super disappointing birthday dinner and a waste of a lot of money. Do better.
