Love love love Bada! First of all, the ambiance is perfect for any occasion. There's people studying, catching up with friends, reading, playing board games, or simply having a bite. I've come both in the daytime and evening and although on the weekend it turns into more of a bar scene, during the weeknights it's still the perfect spot for some late night studying. I've had the Holy Mole before which is a cold brew cinnamony-vanilla latte and it was delish. The standout however was the Purple Haze which I had today for the first time. I'm normally scared to get matcha due to so many places getting it wrong. Not Bada! The matcha was perfectly crafted and the purple ube added a delicious sweetness + it was pretty to look it! The only caveat is price, the drinks range from $6-$8 which is on the expensive side when you compare to other local coffee shops, but at least you know you're getting a delicious drink. Love the location as well with plenty of free parking and a walkable neighborhood!

Bada Bean Bada Booze, combining concept of a café with a bar. Café by day and Bar by night. You can either grab a cup of coffee or just chill out with a drink. Plenty of seating and cozy sofa up for your choice. Grabbed a cup of mocha and that perfect latte heart just brighten up my day. The one I visited is their Italian Village and they have another location in Harrison West. Thought it would be helpful with a little parking tips | They do have 3 hrs street parking available around the area. At the back, they have first 2 hrs free parking. If you stay longer, can park up to another 4 hours. $1 per hour.

We came here for Bingo night at the Italian village location! We came around 6:30 to get settled in and order drinks. We tried the pollinator and Dad bod, both were really great and balanced. We agreed though for the size of the cocktail, the prices here are pretty steep. When we arrived, there was no wait time. Most of the crowd was WFH patrons just finishing up their work day, so it was pretty quiet. If you are coming for bingo, be sure to bring cash! Each card (3 games) is $5. There are 6 rounds that are played. The last round is for all the money in the pot, on our night it was $245! There are various other prizes as well as chances to spin the prize wheel. Overall, it was a pretty fun event, although a little slow at times waiting for new games to start.

    The interior is very nice!

Open early. Great cappuccino. Friendly barista. Big room yet cozy and intimate. I don't drink but their cocktails looked really good. I made it back several times during my visit to Columbus.

I love the concept of Bada Bean Bada Booze. Coffee shop by day, bar in the evening. 'Start your day, end your night' is the slogan and I'm surprised more places don't emulate this idea. But, I'm sure it helps to be located adjacent to an apartment complex and surrounding residential area as this location in Jefferson Park. For starters, parking is a breeze. There is a lot out back with validation for two hours, or additional free street parking. The inside is spacious with a variety of tables and seating options. They also have a sectional couch in one corner, because why not? I got a drip coffee, which cost around $3 for about an 8 ounce cup. They offer $1 refills if you plan to stay awhile. They have a handful of bakery items in the morning, including a homemade pop-tart which I'm not sure is made in house or not, but either way looked pretty good. Overall, Bada Bean Bada Booze is a phenomenal place to visit if you're looking for a brew -- coffee or beer.

Lovin' this brand new coffee house / cocktail lounge in Italian Village. I think I heard about it on Instagram... Or maybe I walked by. I can't remember but I've been several times now and I dig it. So far, I've only been to grab a coffee or to get some work done with the help of a pick-me-up latte. The space itself is located right behind Hoof Hearted, it's not hard to find parking outside, and they have a patio. It's modern, has an open ceiling giving it industrial vibes, yet kinda feels like an old diner... but elevated. Not sure if any of that makes sense so peep at the photos I shared. There's giant doors that look like windows that are sometimes open to an attached space. It's clearly an office or coworking space or something, but I haven't been able to figure that part out yet. The Bada Bee signature drink has been my favorite (anything lavender and I'm on it). They also have Kittie Cakes pastries. Those pop tarts are no joke! I tried a breakfast sammie a few weeks ago and that was tasty too. As for the booze part, I'm looking forward to checking it out soon! I noticed they have a new location coming in the Harrison West-ish neighborhood soon. Cool to see them already growing.

My new favorite study spot! Who doesn't love food, snacks, coffee that are good and keep me going! Has a nice chill vibe with lo-fi music in the background that helps me boost my studying with cute interior that help create this ambience I also love that they have ample seating and ports for charging! And the wifi is pretty decent! Their pop tarts and bagels were really good and it's a nice cherry on top of my study days and the flavors rotate! They also have food like hot dogs and pretzels which we had and everyone loved!

What a great spot to grab a latte while visiting the area! Great service and I enjoyed my latte and the poptart too. Will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

Nice area to get work done. The WiFi seemed questionable at times but I'd need to go back a few times for a better assessment. Staff all nice. Parking was free with 3hr limit posted on the signs. It was sunny when I went and enjoyed a calm walk exploring the area when I was done. I plan to come back periodically.

Bada has very solid, good coffee options with alternative milks available and offers a nice place to get work done! Vibes: In the AM, it's a good place to get work done and focus! Lots of outlets and seats. Very clean, modern, cute place. In the PM, it becomes a social scene with trivia and other events. Trivia here is fun! Drinks: They have good, solid coffee options with alternative milks available. Also, the baristas can make you a good mocktail in the evenings. Food: I do not enjoy the food they have - I would describe it as plain sporting event food (like pretzels, hot dogs, etc) with limited variety. It works if you're hungry, but definitely not somewhere you go just for the food. Parking: They have a parking lot behind the building that can be somewhat packed and street parking. I usually don't have trouble finding a spot.

So i recently stumbled across this cafe/ cocktail bar because they are hosting bachelor viewing parties & the place itself is gorgeous. The place is dark and vibey and decorated beautifully. My favorite decor in the cafe is the array of different colored vases/ glassware along the wall. The bartenders are also always kind and do a great job of making you feel welcome. A must go !!!! & yesssss, the drinks are good.

Coffee place that just opened up in Italian Village! Very great experience. Really enjoyed our cold brew with oat milk and cinnamon roll. The place is very clean and the staff is very helpful. There is a lot of space inside to hang out, chat, or get work done. Was very tempted to try their espresso martini except it was 9AM on a Wednesday lol. Great place and would definitely stop in again soon!

Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

You can sit at a high top table, blue velvet couches for a more laid back option or the bar if you come alone or with a friend! The second best part about this place is you can order of a menu of curated pre picked wines and crafted cocktails or pop into the wine shop connected to it called Hausfrau Haven. Cocktail vibe is more "laid-back friends talking over creative drinks" than sultry, romantic date spot. Tons of natural light means this cocktail bar has had some of my *favorite* cocktail bar photos I've ever taken. It's so pretty in here. NOTES: -During pop-ups, walk-ins are near-impossible on weekends and not likely on weekdays. Make a reservation if you want to make sure you'll have a spot. -No dedicated parking lot. 3-hour-limit free residential parking all around Law Bird, though. We generally have to walk 2 or 3 blocks from parking to Law Bird. Be aware this is German Village, and you're looking at cobblestone sidewalks for high heel and accessibility purposes. -Law Bird mostly has small party seating. If you have a larger group you want to seat during a pop-up, make SURE to get that reservation in early. They have the single 8-person table. -They have snackies and food. Portion sizes are small (despite what the prices may suggest), though, so this is not generally a place to eat a full meal. All of the food is super flavorful, though, so definitely a great snack to add on. PROS: -Keeping things fresh, they regularly host cute seasonal events, new drinks, and pop-up events. In recent memory, I know they've done a Cherry Blossom one, a Spooky Halloween one, and a Christmas one. -They go ALL OUT for their pop-ups. It isn't just a brand new, professionally-printed menu (no pieces of paper with 4 seasonal drinks here). It's also all of their interior decor, bathroom decorations, bartop decorations, and more. Ceiling decor too! They get all up in there. It's really fun to see the space transformed constantly. -Between the new menus and the constantly-new decorations of their space, I love regularly popping into Law Bird. -I LOVE the creativity of the menus, and I LOVE that they offer cocktail classes. (I haven't taken one yet, but I'm excited to!) The menu has unique drinks, served with unique garnishes. They have a few "sugar cocktails", but for the most part, Law Bird drinks tend to be complex and spirit-forward. -Their "themed" bathrooms (even with their own themed music playlists) make me happy. They have two unisex, single room restrooms. CONS: -If you come during a pop-up with a smaller group, they will enforce their reservation time limit of 1.5 hours. This isn't necessarily the end of the world, but the times when they enforce their limits is when they have more customers waiting - and tend to be when the place is at capacity. When they're at-capacity, the bar staff and service staff is a lot busier, with drink service taking longer and servers checking in a lot less. This means we usually only have had the chance to place 2 drink orders during that 1.5 hour time limit before they ask us to leave. This can be rough (to try most of the drinks on a limited time menu) unless you're sharing drinks with your tablemates. If you still want to continue your evening with your friends after that 1.5 hour limit, Antiques on High, Daily Growler, and Cobra are easily walkable from here. -During their pop-ups on weekends, time between placing a drink order and receiving the drink has usually been around 15 to 20 minutes. Not the end of the world as you get to socialize with friends, but again, with the time limit, that can be a bit rough.

That being said, upon opening the door we were told we couldn't come in without masks. Mine was in my pocket, no problem. I haven't left my home (in Tennessee) often enough since the beginning of the virus for it to become habit to automatically put on a mask when I get out of my vehicle. But 9/10 times I remember before entering a public place. The male bartender just seemed rude in the way he told us to put one one. I had read the raving reviews, and being a Yelp Elite myself I know I can and do trust their reviews above others. So....I was really looking forward to trying something new and enjoy watching a bartender do their thing. The bartender pointed to two framed menus on top of a cooler containing seltzer's and canned drinks, and some glass bottles of pre-made cocktails, I think. I would've appreciated the bartender ask me what I liked, and help me decide, but it was easier for him to point to the sign. Customer service absolutely sucked hippo balls. I asked if I could just order a Knob Creek and Coke in a short glass, and a Blanton's for my hubs. Sure!! What I got was a shot of each in a to-go plastic condiment container with a lid, and two big paper go cups (like Burger King) of ice, and a can of Coke, which I told him never mind I had a soda in the truck. We also got two bags of Cheeto's, to make the sale legal. So....we poured our bourbons over the ice in the paper cups. I drank a few sips of mine, yum, even in paper. My husband was just about to take a sip and noticed something stuck in his ice that looked just like a maggot. He walked back across the street and told/showed the bartender, who vehemently denied it came from the ice because it was a brand new bag. Then I noticed 3 of the maggot looking things in my ice, so I went back in and showed my husband and then the bartender. He told my husband it was probably from the citrus he was cutting on a board near the ice bin. They were frozen INSIDE the ice cubes. I'm upset with myself that I didn't take a picture of it, it was gross. I'm upset that a bartender would try to make it seem like it was nothing. After seeing it all in my ice my husband just asked for our money back, and the bartender said, "But I've already poured another." Ummm, sorry, but no thank you. He did give the refund, but I most assuredly won't give them a second chance when I visit Columbus.
