They actually were out of the bread for the French dip and the French onion soup wasn't ready, but Raja went above and beyond with service, attention to detail, and hospitality to make it right. My second choice, the chicken noodle soup, had delicious flavor, salad was refreshing, fries were abundant and the cookie was decadent. This restaurant and Nordstrom really disappointed me today. It has always been a treat and something my mom and I would try to go to once a year. The food was still good. My disappointment comes in the price for lunch was almost $70 for 2 people and I don't mind paying high dollar if the food is good and the service is great. Unfortunately, the service was terrible today. I get that the entire industry is hurting, however if I'm going to have less than service then I feel that the food prices should be reduced...$70 for 2 soup and sandwich is high (with terrible service!) Why are there not more people coming here!? I have lived in Columbus over three years and just recently found out about this little gem. And I have been inside Nordstrom more times than I can count. The food is spot on and for the price, you really can't find this anywhere near by. Everything that grazed our table was 100% fabulous. Myself and our party was absolutely amazed that we had been here before. The only downside was the view. It might not be the newest fanciest restaurant in Easton but you will not be left dissatisfied with anything off the menu. For a fantastic lunch or quick bite during your shopping while at Easton. This cafe is very nice, it's located on the second floor of Nordstrom. In the back area. You can either order up front or if you have a big party like I did, get a table and find a waiter or waitress to take a big order. I started off with the crispy cauliflower and I thought it was good. It had hummus, cauliflower, olives and feta cheese. Most of my family ordered it as well. Then I went with the french dip sub for the main entree and boy it was better than the stuff they serve at Arby's! This is the real deal, meat piled high with a toasty bun and sauce to dip. Paired with either a salad or fries and you got yourself a great meal. My mom ordered the quiche and liked it as well. My sister got the turkey club sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both my dad and brother got the salads and were pretty pleased with them. The kids got the margherita pizza and seemed to enjoy it. Even though my niece still said she needed a hamburger after completing her pizza. For the price, I think everything was pretty good here. LOVE this place, perfect for a light girly lunch, sophisticated without being stuffy, a real feel good place that leaves you feeling great! I had found it awhile ago and waited for a chance to grab some food when the guys weren't around since they could not see paying almost $20 for a sandwich/pizza or any of the small snacks they offer. I have been dying to have a real nicoise salad and Nordstrom's Cafe Bistro has one. FInally last night after dropping my car off at Cadillac this was so convieniently located next door. Service is fabulous, after reading you can sub/add anything you want I made the salad my own. No tomatos or capers, therefor roasted corn, roasted peppers, avocado and extra cilantro on my nicoise. Also the dijon vinagrette on the side as well as the cilantro lime and ginger sesame. (I am a huge sucker for made in house dressings using my favorite ingredients, in this case cilantro/ginger) Now this was one hell of a salad, the chef was so nice with all my extra wishes, he arranged it beautifully and every bite was sheer bliss. The dijon was my least favorite, the ginger sesame perfect for the salmon and green beans, the cilantro lime was like a pesto and the best thing ever! Seriously I buy this by the gallon and put it on any and everything! It was pretty pricey at $14 but considering all the ingredients I had and how damn good it was I don't care what it costed. I could have happily eaten 5 more bowls of this but considering that would run me about $100 I better learn how to make this at home.... read more

I happened to visit this Nordstrom while their annual sale was still on, and I ended up getting some stuff and lo and behold, nothing less than outstanding - it was awaiting for my arrival in Miami Beach.... I am in love. Upscale fast-casual. The dishes I saw coming from the open kitchen were full of color and looked really well-prepared and scrumptious. The space is clean and orderly. I'm not a regular to Nordstrom's, so I was glad this spot is easy to find. The Cafe isn't huge, but has plenty of tables to fill the space. I did relax and eat inside the Bistro. However, I knew I wasn't going to be a clean-plater, so I ordered it to-go. Servers were very nice and brought the food out to the table. Got the Turkey Bacon Club sandwich. Good meat. Love that the fresh, crisp green beans are mixed in with the fresh ripe smashed avocado. Their fries were fantastic. Hot, seasoned perfectly, soft centers, crisp edges. I'm not sure how much I agree with the $15 (and change) cost for the turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich. The food was good, but not Northstar good. I guess, since their clientele tends to be upper-class, they can afford to ask for a higher price-point. At any rate, I can now mark this restaurant off my bookmarks. read more

Bringing to mind the old days of elegant department stores with their little lunch counters and staff in heels and skirts, Cafe Bistro is a lovely little eating space on the second floor of Nordstroms, with dark toned decor, dim but pleasant lighting, and lots of modern elegance. I admit I'm not a big fan of the system by which ordering is done - grab a menu by the door, stand around a bit, then go to the counter. It keeps costs down, though, so that's fine by me. However, don't forget dessert - the menu is up by the cashier. And it was for dessert that my friend and I came based on her past experience. Now, I am sure the main courses are fine - they certainly sound delicious. But if you stop for nothing else, stop for the sweets. You can probably share one between two people, and doing over that might have been a better idea for us. However, it was hard enough to decide on just one for each of us, let alone one for both. We eventually decided on a piece of the white chocolate bread pudding and slice of chocolate cake with toffee and caramel. ...Yes, they're as good as they sound. The bread pudding was unfortunately a bit overcooked on the bottom on this trip, but still tasted amazing. As I've said before elsewhere, I'm not normally a fan of bread pudding, but I could be a fan of this. Thick, dense, and more like a pudding cake than the typical slimy stuff that makes me wary of this dessert, it is definitely worth the calories. The cake, meanwhile, is huge in size and consists of moist chocolate cake with layers of crunchy toffee and a semi-sweet not-too-thick icing dusted with toffee and cocoa, served on a bed of gooey smokey caramel sauce. I loved the combination of smooth cake with the crunchy toffee, and the caramel and chocolate blended very nicely together. Both were about $5.95 which is about average for this sort of dessert, and the quality was such I would say they were worth it. Cafe Bisto also has decent coffee - not super exceptional but definitely better than most restaurants. Overall, definitely worth stopping in upstairs for an upscale sweet treat when visiting Easton. I hope to get back at some point and give the actual food a go too. :) read more

This hidden gem... every friend I've suggested this too had no idea there was cage on the 2nd floor of Nordstrom. I absolutely love the caesar salad here. It's my go-to dish. It's delightful. So fresh and served w/ a warm grilled chicken breast. The lemon on the side when squeezed adds a tart but refreshing taste to the dressing and overall salad. Price seems just a tad high. $11 salad? The chocolate mints they leave after your meal are divine too. I go to this spot all the time during solo mall trips or solo lunch dates. read more

First time here and I ordered the wild salmon, hands down my favorite dish here! I was in heaven. I didn't care for the flat iron steak, I'm more of a ribeye kinda guy anyways. The spicy shrimp pasta was a little to spicy for Italian pasta dish at Nordstroms Cafe, but it was full of flavor. Chocolate cake was kinda rich and I thought it was a little dry. The short cake is really good. Asian salad is really good. Love the Bruschetta but ask for a second piece of bread with it. I have no clue why they don't give you two? Two friends had raved about their salads so i stopped in to get a salad to go after a quick shopping trip. Unfortunately I was sorely disappointed in the crab, mango and avocado salad and it cost $18 to add insult to injury! I will not return. We usually stop here when we shop at Easton but it has deteriorated. There were at least 7 people working (including 2 in kitchen) and only 5 tables but service was terrible yesterday. We never received silverware for our group even after I asked so I had to find them on random tables. No spoons for our soups so I had to pull them from a server station. No refills. For the prices of a mid-level restaurant ($18 burger, $21 salad, $10 soup, $16 sandwich), this place has become a disappointment. Too many alternatives nearby to support this place. read more

The food here was fantastic, and I do mean fantastic. My only gripe was the hostess/cashier who really didn't have much in terms of people skills. We were the only people in line and, since this was our first time at the restaurant, we were having trouble deciding what to order when a couple came in and cut in front of us in line. Rather than politely ask us if we needed more time, the cashier (along with the rude couple) simply pretended we weren't even standing there. So, we got in line as ~3 other people had arrived at the same time as the other couple, while we continued to peruse the menu. When we finally got to the front of the line the same hostess said "are you ready to order now?" Uh ya think?!? We only just had 5 people's worth of order time to make our minds up. Now, onto the highlight of our meal, as it always should be - the food. I had to get the truffle garlic fries and they did not disappoint! Hubby got the lobster mac n cheese which was very very tasty! I got the spicy shrimp pasta and that was also phenomenal! Highly recommend this hidden gem inside of Nordstrom! I tend to go here about once every couple of years and every. single. time. I wonder why I don't go here once a week. Seriously, the food is so tasty that I didn't even take pictures of my glorious meal yesterday; I was too busy shoving the delicious food into my gullet. My friend and I split the cilantro lime shrimp salad (succulent, well-cooked shrimp with an amazingly light, citrus-ey dressing) and the flat iron steak and frites. Yum! I usually feel that restaurants are super sexist when it comes to cooking meat for ladies. I swear, every time I order my steak medium rare, it usually comes out medium to well done. Not here. The meat was perfectly cooked! Some tips: definitely get the fries with the kalamata aioli; super delish. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. The servers will then bring you your drinks and food. I usually tend to tip 20% or more here even though you have to order at the counter because the service is so darn good. Also, only cash tips are accepted, so be sure to ask the cashier to put the tip on your card. They will hand you cash to give your server. read more

If you're at Easton, and especially if you're in Nordstrom, looking for a classy casual meal, this is the spot. Menu items are varied and include healthy and more indulgent options, all of which list calories. I use this to my advantage, ordering a delicious healthy salad and feeling entitled to order a glass of wine to accompany it. Their wine and beer list is a great pairing to the menu of soups, sandwiches, flatbreads, and other assorted things. I tend to oscillate between the shrimp cilantro lime salad and the salmon nicoise. Aside from stealing gobs of my husband's thin, crispy, nicely-seasoned pommes frites, those are the only two dishes I order there. Why? Because they're so good I crave them every time I go in. Perfectly prepared proteins with fresh greens and tons of flavor makes me a happy diner. This place makes a good quick meal; order at the counter and a (consistently prompt and courteous) server brings drinks and food, busses, handles the bill, and delivers lovely minty sticks of chocolate. The atmosphere is comfortable and somewhat posh, making it a nice place to eat lunch or dinner out with a friend or partner. If you've got the kids in tow, it's equally suitable for you. Hidden away upstairs in Nordstrom, Cafe Bistro is another reason to never leave Nordy's while in the mayhem that is Easton. It's my absolute-favorite place to have lunch while I'm shopping til I drop: - It's usually quiet, though there was a hefty line out the door on my last visit. Still, it moved quickly. - It's just speedy enough, but still relaxing. You order at the counter, but then a server takes care of your table after you are seated. - Great bistro menu (Nicoise salads, lobster bisque), at GREAT prices. Seriously. One of the best deals in town for quality/value. Maybe I just have super-strong positive associations with eating here (It usually means I just bought a great pair of shoes or a dress), but the gorgeous decor wraps me up and transports me to a daydream-land where the salads are fresh and flavorful, and the charge card has no limit. read more

(try Red Dragon) The staff here probably run and hide when they see me coming because I am a perfectionist pain in the arse. I can't wear any old thing and I don't wanna smell like everyone else or your grandma. I hate florals, can't stand pure orientals, abhor scents that shout and I don't wanna smell like a fruit basket. I miss Europe, their perfumes are much more elegant and understated. When I moved back here I had a German friend sending me my fav whenever I ran out. See what I mean? The girls in that dept. deserve an award after dealing graciously with me, through gritted teeth, I'm sure :) I settled on Prada after an hour of search and a jar of coffee beans. A stop at the MAC counter for something pink to smear on my lips completed my visit. I love this store, it is relaxed, laid back and the customer service is top-notch. They will jump through hoops to help you find what you need and if it's not on hand they will do everything possible to obtain it for you. It's not as fussy as Saks, with their weird hours, and I would say it compares to Von Maur. It's easy in, easy out with parking right outside of the doors. I can go in with holy jeans n tee and be treated as well as the woman in the Chanel suit next to me. Love it, love it, love it! Nuff said. read more

I LOVE this place. It's my 'top secret' lunch spot at Easton. On the 2nd floor of Nordstrom past the Junior's section its a real gem of a place. Nice decor and a beautiful open kitchen. You order at the counter and servers bring your drinks and food. Everything on the menu looks fabulous. Lots of lucious salads and savory sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees. I think the club sandwich has been my favorite with haricot vert on it. A classy addition to a sammie! I have also enjoyed the artichocke goat cheese salad, and rosmary chicken panini. Both excellent! It seems like they have real chefs in the kitchen...at least someone knows what they're doing in there. They have a brick oven for pizzas, which is cool. Probably my most favorite thing is the french fries (shoe string style) that they serve with this amazing kalamata olive dip. I don't even like olives, but I could eat this dip by the gallon full! This place is such a treat. Such fabulous food in the middle of a mall! The cilantro lime shrimp salad is excellent. The shrimp is perfectly charred, tossed with roasted corn, cilantro, tomatoes, and red peppers in a tangy vinegrette over a bed of mixed leafy greens. The white chocolate bread pudding is FOOD OF THE GODS. Probably my favorite dessert in the world. I don't even like white chocolate. This stuff is like the tastiest french toast, with perfectly toasted edges, drizzled with a white chocolate and raspberry sauce. Decadent, but not in the way that makes you feel like you're going to vom from so much sweet and heaviness. You seriously must try it! read more

God, I love Nordstrom. I honestly do. Then again, I'm a sucker for designer denim and shoes, as well as make up and accessories. My biggest problem with this store is that there is ALWAYS something I see online that they don't have in the store. Yes, in they're huge store that seems so sparsely filled with beautiful, beautiful clothes... But I digress. Nordstrom, at least, carries whichever denim I have my eye on in every size they make, which is convenient for fitting purposes. I never really look at tops/dresses there because they're generally overpriced. Shoes, however, are amazing when they go on sale. If you have the cash to shop here frequently, more power to you. But this place is definitely for me where I go if I have something specific I want to get. read more

I'm always underwhelmed when I come in here. Maybe I'm expecting too much but I never seem to get it. I've never really found anything that I like here, at least nothing that I liked enough to buy. The staff is nice, and I had a really interesting conversation with the gentleman working in menswear about an up and coming men's designer who I was looking for (but unfortunately wasn't available here but who he knew of). The main reason that I keep coming back here is for the cafe. I do like their coffees and come here on my coffee rotation when I need a caffeine fix to fuel my shopping. read more

I really like this Nordstrom.....well the fact that it is in Easton enhances the like factor, but on with the review. Very nice and big store and I've been in a bunch of them. The fragrance and makeup department is immense and they seem to have a great selection of clothing. Will have to give it a once over to give an update. During the holidays they had live carolers in the store singing their little fa la la la la's off! But I am here to talk about their shoe department. Yes! They have a large shoe department and it is full of great brands. They have a nice sized Ugg section. I bought a pair of killer Frye riding boots there. They have Steve Maddens and I've heard they have Jimmy Choos now but the last time I was there I was on a boot mission and did not look for other shoes. The sales staff was very nice and helpful even to some customers who were being real PITA's (pains in the ass). And they will look for a shoe for you online and get it ordered for you if they don't have it there. Plus, when they have their big sales - which happen a couple times a year - you can lose your mind shoe shopping! read more

Not sure why this place lets you order food when they have no where to sit. At the counter they take your order and then you have to circle the dining room on your own to try and spot people while might be leaving. And you have to compete with others doing the same thing. Food is good here and some (not all) of the servers are very nice but the system or ordering, getting a seat, and getting your food is extremely disjointed and inconsistent. I've never not been happy at Nordstrom. I may leave with less money than I intended, but I'm always satisfied. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and offer just the right amount of guidance. If you want assistance, they're very helpful. If not, I think they'll leave you alone. The may work on commission, but they earn it. It's not a high-pressure sales situation, it's just a slight nudge in the direction of the right clothes for you. The parking around there is usually ample and, unless it's a sale day, it's not ordinarily that crowded. Not that you should avoid the sales - they're amazing. It's my go-to spot for business clothes in Cbus. For trendy, high-end wardrobe staples, you can't go wrong. read more

I appreciate Nordstrom and the Nordstrom Cafe and the commitment to quality and great service. When shopping at Easton I prefer a quick healthy meal in a fairly peaceful atmosphere. I also appreciate the cafe commitment to organic ingredients. I recently tried the Sesame Oriental Chicken Salad and it was so wonderful.
