Finally got to try this very unique food truck and I was impressed! First off, it's tucked behind some businesses, so we were glad for accurate maps to get us there. Zero wait because we went on a rainy Friday afternoon. There are picnic tables without shade/umbrellas if you wanted to eat on premises though. We placed our order and waited in the car. It didnt take long at all which was a plus, also. However I took a start off because neither of the employees (both men) weren't very friendly. I don't ever expect much, but I expect the minimum beyond getting my order correct. With that said, here's what we got and what we think! Veggie samosas: 11/10. Holy moly these are the absolute best samosas I've ever had. They outshone the very good pizza. I'd eat 50 of them! Seriously I will go for the samosas alone. They're big, perfectly fried, and filled with the best mashed veg filling, very reminiscent of mashed potatoes. The spicy dipping sauce was like a branston pickle (a spicy vinegary sauce). Half and half Paneer Makhani/Butter Chicken (regular spice level) with a side of Tandoori Ranch sauce: Solid pizza in every way. We both liked the Paneer Makhani a touch more. Neither was spicy at all - next time I will bump up the spice. I loved how chewy the dough is! I get why people say it is a bit on the unsaucy side because it is. That didn't bother me at all, though. The ranch dipping sauce was really flavorful and a nice compliment! Definitely want to try more pizza flavors now. They do have a special for any pizza with 2 samosas and 2 sodas for $26. Good deal if you ask me. You can upgrade to a mango lassi for a couple bucks more. I will try that next time too! read more

This place has been on my list for a while, so I was super excited to try it! I ordered the lamb butter pizza online and picked it up at their food truck. It looked great and the taste was good--the lamb had a nice flavor. I do feel like it was too light on the sauce though and the sauce didn't come through as well as I had hoped. I've been driving to Hilliard regularly for a year for the BEST Indian pizza and snacks ever... and now Moon Pizza has a second location open in the LC! If you love pizza and Indian food, prepare to have your world rocked. Order extra dipping sauce - they are amazing. My favorite pizzas are the paneer tikka masala or paneer makhni. Spice levels are hearty - order REGULAR for mild. Medium kicks it up a level and is pretty fierce the next day! I don't even think I could survive their spicy. This place is amazing. What a fun surprise. Who would have thought this hidden little gem of a food truck was hiding away in Hilliard? This was very unexpectedly delicious. I love Indian food. I also love pizza. I was surprised to think I could blend the two, but Moon pizza has done the unexpected. Pizza crafted with the flavors and spices of India. Was I heard Moon pizza was crafting these unique pies, I knew I had to give them a try. I ordered the Chicken 65 pizza plenty of spice. Marinated Chicken with spicy tangy sauce made with curry leaves, cumin, mustard seeds, red whole chillies topped with mozzarella cheese, red onions, bell peppers and cilantro added after the bake. I had to go pick it up because they don't deliver downtown. It was a little bit of an adventure because their little food truck is hidden in the back parking lot of a shutdown business. Thankfully they have plenty of signs to point you in the right direction. The service was friendly and helpful. Now about the pizza...I loved it! I can't wait to try the tikka marsala pizza. This is a great fusion food truck in the Hilliard area. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Tikka Masala, and the Butter Chicken Pizza, and each was absolutely fantastic and loved. The cheese and sauce selection especially is what makes the Pizza's work so well. The Butter Chicken for instance doesn't use typical pizza tomato sauce, but instead a butter-tomato cream sauce that pairs nicely with the Paneer Cheese and Butter Chicken. I recently discovered this food truck parked behind 2 hotels at Mill Run. I haven't had the pizza yet, but the Butter Chicken Roll is outstanding. I've had 2 in the past couple of weeks, and just ordered one for pickup since I am in Hilliard. The guys are nice and add a sauce to my bag. When you pull up to the food truck, don't be surprised that it is in the back parking lot of Homewood Suites. Although the location can be off-putting for some, it is well worth it since there is plenty of space to eat in your car, outside the car, or at one of the two standing tables they have set up. Bunty, the owner of the food truck, shared how he had some troubles fighting to keep the space since the city authorities were pushing him to move. They serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to fit a variety of dietary preferences. We wanted to try a variety of items so the pizza combo meal gave us the perfect combination since we could get any 2 pizzas, burger, and 2 soft drinks for $33.99. The Chicken Keema Burger was delicious. Keema means minced meat, so the patty comprised of a minced chicken patty seasoned with Indian spices, which is then grilled and paired with grilled paneer, tomatoes, onions, and topped with a homemade sauce. This burger was slightly spicy and the texture of minced meat was very interesting since the meat comes apart in your mouth, which made it easier to eat, and soaked in the flavor of the spices so well. Their pizzas are made to order and baked in a stone oven to create a crispy yet soft texture. The Chicken 65 Pizza is the perfect option for those who like spice. The workers warned us about the spice level and I will say, they are not playing around here! This pizza is loaded with flavor from their tandoori marinated chicken, combined with curry leaves, cumin, mustard seeds, mozzarella cheese, red onions, bell peppers, and cilantro. To elevate the spices, they add crushed dried chili peppers at the end. It was easily a level 6.5-7 for me and the heat definitely built up, so just beware if you are wanting to try it! If you are wanting a milder and vegetarian option, I highly recommend the Potato Masala Pizza. This pizza is topped with sliced potatoes, combined with masala sauce, mozzarella cheese, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro. It is so flavorful and since potato is not a topping that you can readily find at pizza places in the U.S., I really enjoyed the texture of potatoes combined with the spices. It also comes with a side of crushed crunchy noodle pieces, which adds a nice texture to the pizza. The pizzas are also served with 2 ranch sauces made in-house. The sauces are cilantro and mint ranch, which is creamy with a stronger flavor from the herbs, and a tandoori ranch, which is a creamy, savory ranch with an ever-slight kick. These sauces were phenomenal and complemented the pizzas so well. If you like what they offer, Moon Pizza also does catering for parties and gatherings. They offer a variety of chaat, including pani puri, samosa, and burger stations with a variety of toppings. The crust is original, fairly light and crispy ( a bit chewy), very very good!! We eat a lot of pizza here in Columbus, and I've not had a crust like this. If you want enjoyable spice, order medium spice. The spicy was tolerable and good, but almost too much for me to enjoy a second piece. Did not ruin my experience, I asked for spicy and my husband enjoyed it( lots of seeds on it, possibly Serrano???) This place is a definite A+. I was a bit surprised it was a food truck, but it was brand new, clean, good signage and they were friendly!! I ordered on DoorDash pick up, b/c we had a gift card so prices were a tad bit higher, but they had 30% off select happy hour pizzas ( which is all pictured). Well worth the price! I really loved the combo of traditional Indian flavors on a NYC style pie sliced pizza. The sweet pineapple was a nice contrast to the saltiness of the cheese. Finally someone that actually puts fresh toppings all the way to the crust! I'm conflicted. I want everything that Moon Pizza is advertising. Indian inspired pizzas and burgers? Definitely. We ordered with high expectations, but the experience was flawed. Not because the food was bad, it wasn't, but things were off so much that I'm not sure when I'll try again. I'll explain. First, I ordered via the Slice app. Ordering was easy, but, while Slice said 15-30 minutes pickup before I ordered, it changed to 1 hour after I ordered. I wanted it to be worth the wait so I was patient, but I was hungry and mildly annoyed at what felt like a bait and switch. I showed up at the recommended time to discover that the restaurant is actually a food truck parked behind a defunct former restaurant. Odd location but not itself problematic. I just assumed by the address that they had taken over the restaurant space. The truck was packed with employees and they seemed a fairly professional bunch. I had to wait a minute to be recognized by an employee, but she got my pizza quickly. The sad thing is that it had been just left warming on top of the oven and it was clear to me immediately that it had been there a while. By the time I got it home (~5 minutes ride) it was lukewarm at best. The pizza itself was gorgeous and had good flavor, but I needed more heat in the flavor as well as the temperature. I would definitely kick the "normal" spice up to medium next time. It was served with two drizzle sauces on the side which were a nice touch and I really enjoyed the extra flavors. The price was $23.80 for what was a medium-ish sized pizza. I wasn't expecting Pizza Hut prices, but if I'm paying too dollar I kind of expect not value for the money. The margins on pizza are significant and I think they could have gone bigger and still turned plenty of profit. I hope Moon Pizza sticks it out. They are doing something interesting and we need more of that in Hilliard. I look forward to maybe a better experience at some later date. If you try them yourself maybe don't believe it if the app says an hour for your pizza. read more

Beware of their delivery service it makes you download the Slice app and they send DoorDash, after waiting more than 1 hour past delivery time I called Moon they told me to call door dash because they probably stole the food! Calling Slice (door dash) was also useless. Later found the order on the floor in the hall at our hotel down the hall. Too lazy to knock or call? I don't know. Food was cold but still good! We tried this yesterday after seeing a rave review from StepOut Columbus on Instagram. The hype is real. We got two pizzas. One was the vegetarian bullet pizza and the other was the chicken tikka masala pizza at medium spice level. They were so flavorful, and the crust was crispy on the bottom and pillowy on top. The pizzas are on the thinner side, which we like. Both my husband and I enjoy spicy food and didn't find the pizzas to be overly spicy. You can definitely eat these and not run for milk if you have a decent spice tolerance. Will definitely return and try other items. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. read more

Wow! Don't miss out on this gem! We stopped by after reading a review and my grandson and I weren't disappointed. The butter chicken calzone ,chicken keema burger and samosas were very flavorful slightly spicy but not overbearing. The outside of the samosa was light and crispy, not too much wrapper like some and had what tasted like maybe cardamom in the filling. Delicious! The crew was friendly and the owner recognized me from an Indian restaurant that I frequented before Covid happened. Also noteworthy are the mango lassi and chai. The truck sits to the rear of a closed down Mexican restaurant(Lunada) for those of you who know the area. This is not fast food,so place your order and just chill in your car, it's worth the wait. Today was my first time trying Moon Pizza. My husband called to confirm that there were no nuts in the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza, they told him there were no nuts. We've been wanting to try Moon Pozza for a bit. Ordered through Uber eats for delivery. We ordered the paneer 65 pizza spicy, cheese pizza, potato wedges and chicken keema burger. The wedges had a nice masala flavor to them, unfortunately they were soggy by the time we got them but still very good. The keema burger was tasty, flavorful. Ideally I would like a bit more keema as the condiments slightly out powered the actual chicken keema patty. The paneer pizza was very good. Plenty of paneer and ingredients. Paneer was soft and not overcooked. The one knock on that pizza is the sauce was a tad sweet but it has chillies on it to help with the spiciness. Cheese pizza was fine. Would prefer to have more sauce (will have to order with extra sauce next time). The pizza came with a cilantro sauce and another creamy sauce Overall a really good experience. Tried Moon Pizza tonight for dinner tonight looking for a new twist on Indian food which is our favorite! Ordered the Chicken 65 pizza, but they accidentally swapped it with a Paneer 65 pizza. The restaurant owners called and were extremely kind and offered to make it right, but I was already home and the Paneer 65 looked great. It was excellent! Great flavor and we all agreed the crust was excellent. The medium spicy was too much for my son who has a very low spice tolerance, so keep that in mind when ordering. Just ordered from here and it was incredible. The samosa chaat was amongst the best I've had. Definitely needs to be eaten as fresh as possible or it'll steam the crispy pieces. I chose the chicken chilli pizza as chilli chicken is one of my favorite dishes. It was good but I'll probably try one of the others next time. Just failed to meet my high expectations. Last we got a butter chicken calzone and loved it. Fairly cheesy and very bready but excellent flavor. Won't replace my pizza cravings but might substitute for Indian cravings.
