Only have eaten Royal Burger via Uber Eats! So glad this food truck has partnered with the food delivery apps during COVID. So I will start my review off that I've never been to the truck location. Royal Burger makes it super easy to order and has a very basic menu of a few items, and when you do them well, it's all you need. Massive amounts of seasoned fries when ordered are tasty. Onion rings taste fresh made and not frozen. (unless they buy them from a legit place?) Hamburger is as big as the bun and packed with juicy flavor. the favorite thing I've had is hands down the Chicken Tenders with sauce. The Hot Buffalo is amazing and the tenders are juicy as well. If you're looking for a small locally own place for dinner, Royal Burger will not disappoint. **Royal Burger is quickly becoming a west Columbus staple and its my personal opinion that once COVID is behind us, they should really look into opening a Royal Burger Bar and Grill. This truck is in the Sunoco parking lot at the corner of King Ave. and Gerard Ave, and it's only been there a couple of weeks now. I actually stopped in here, because there was some kind of Colombian or Caribbean truck here before, and I wanted to try it out. It turns out Royal Burger will be here 7 days a week now until 10 pm at night, 9 pm on Sundays. I figured I'd give them a shot. I ended up ordering the double burger with fries as well as a gyro by recommendation of the guy at the window. It was definitely too much food, but as usual, I try to get multiple items on my first go. They're making the burgers with fresh meat, so it takes about 10 minutes or so to get your food, but it's worth it. The burger is HUGE. Between the burger and the gyro, I could barely finish the meal. The burger was the better of the two and much larger than your typical diner or normal restaurant burger, and the fries that came with it were seasoned with something addictive. I couldn't stop eating it. The gyro was solid, and I liked the sauce, but it didn't blow me away. Most of the items here are comfort food like chicken wings, tenders, and fried catfish. There's obviously some Middle Eastern influence, so you'll see chicken and rice and lamb and rice on the menu that I've heard was pretty good. It's pretty close to me, so I'll definitely be back to check out some more dishes and get that burger and fries again. read more

I ordered the mixed grill which had pieces of chicken, lamb and gyro meet over a delicious bed of saffron rice with a side salad. It came covered in a cream sauce and a hit sauce. Everything was so good. The meat was super tender. The sauces were super flavorful and the rice was perfect. The rice was like a saffron with long grain and cooked to perfection. Royal Burger isn't your typical food truck where they travel all around the city. You don't have to use an app or follow them on social media to see where they will be for the day. They are located out by where the casino is by a local market, from what I can tell, off to the side by the gate entrance. If I could describe this food truck, I would say that it's like a hole in the wall on wheels. The gentleman greeted me at the window and took my order. I am pretty basic and knew what I came for. I am a burger purist. I got a burger with lettuce and pickles. When it comes to finding a good burger, I find that you have to eat it without all the other stuff they tend to put on the patty nowadays. If a burger can't hold its own by itself sans the enhancements, to me, it's not a good burger. This burger holds its own. It has a great taste to it, and the beef flavor shines through. I got it cooked well, and it was still juicy. The lettuce and pickles were fresh and had a nice crunch to them. Be warned, though; you may need to bring someone with you to consume the whole thing. It's pretty monstrous. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is that you can taste the grease. If you are fine with greasy burgers, then this is a 5-star spot for you. I wanted to like this so much more. We ordered one time and I wasn't overly impressed. I got the wings. Unfortunately they were not the wet, juicy looking wings I see in the pics. My wings were super dry and not wilding with flavor. My husband got a burger. I gave it another try. The second time was a little better. I got the Philly Cheesecake. It was basic with just meat, chesse, green peppers and onions with mayo. I asked for banana peppers and that wasn't an option.
