I've been to the other location, and when I heard one was opening closer to me, I went to check it out. Same set up as the other: food counter inside a carryout, in a slightly rough neighborhood. No place to sit down and eat. They have their famous fish burger, a salmon patty. A different, bigger slab of fish on a sandwich. And a chicken sandwich, hamburger, wings, etc. You can get fries with any of them. Order at the counter, and it'll take about 15 minutes because they are actually making your food.
I knew the fish and chicken were great from the other location, and I wanted to try something new here. So I just went with the burger burger. Two smash patties, good beef flavor, and cooked well but not overly crisp. On a good bun, with very good toppings. Mixed greens, good pickles, an okay tomato (but it's Ohio and out of season.) Their signature sauce. A bit messy, but I was actually able to eat it without getting any on myself except my hands. And a very very good burger.
These folks know what they're doing. The cook was friendly, and busy because there was a steady stream of walk-in customers. You can grab a drink from the coolers in the back of the store. The owner of the store is friendly. Parking in the street or a small lot. I will be back, to one or the other location, for another burger, more fish, and to try the chop cheese, which you can get with beef or salmon. read more
