The service made this experience memorable. The gentleman working asked me if it was my first time. He made some recommendations. They were out of corned beef for the #3 The Eiffel Tower so he substituted bacon for me instead. I liked that the buns are smooshed flat, the meat and cheese heated and melted, and then the additional toppings diced up into smaller pieces. I had about a 20 minute drive that could have made the difference, but once I started eating the sandwich it was good but aa bit chewy. It might have been less chewy if I would have ate it right away. I also ordered the specialty croissant. The staff person asked me if I was okay with the price, it was $8. I appreciated he let me know the price and made sure I still wanted it as it was a bit pricey. The croissant was amazing! This was also a food that was better ate day of. I had it the next morning for breakfast and although it was delicious you could tell it was getting stale already. It was beautifully made. Or I've just been lucky. I did not expect to give this five stars, or to enjoy it quite as much as I did. I mean, it's a sandwich shop. Grinders used to be scattered around Columbus, and this might be the only one left. I used to go to the one by me all the time. This happened to be nearby today, and so I stopped in out of nostalgia. And it was pretty much what I remember. But a peak experience. Service was great, fast and friendly. The menu is pretty much the same as it always was. Lobster bisque was one of the soups of the day and I didn't expect it to be great quality, but it sounded good, and I got my usual club sub. Soup and drink, and bread for the soup (you could choose crackers) were up almost immediately. Sandwich took about 10 minutes, but that's of course because it's being toasted. The soup was fine, nothing special, strong sherry odor, lots of tiny bits of lobster. Pleasant enough, and served with a chunk of good bread. And they serve it piping hot in its own little crock with a metal spoon. Don't throw those in the trash. The sandwich was as good as I remember, maybe better. Good bread, loads of meat, tomatoes, and a honey mustard spread. I got a 6 inch and it seemed longer than that, although maybe my estimation skills are off... It was very tasty. Held together pretty well. I was stuffed. They have lots of salads, that is, pasta salad or potato salad, etc. They are always good, but I didn't have any room with the soup. The place was clean, it was steady at 1 PM but not packed. Plenty of parking in the big mall lot. I really enjoyed it. And as far as sandwich shops go, this is about as good as it gets.
