Haven't been in columbus in a long time but I have always wanted to try Warios! So i was really excited when my friend wanted to come here! We parked at the north market garage and then walked al little. We got there right at 11am on a Sunday and there was already a little line! I ordered a chicken caesar sandwich. It was massive! It was kinda hard to eat because the contents were spilling out. I loved the sandwich. The chicken was crispy and there was tons of it. The bread was delicious and helped tie the sandwich all together. The sandwich was $18 but worth it because it was like two meals. I was full after eating half! So happy to try this sandwich and would definitely recommend it!
This place was recommended by a few coworkers on a group page. I wanted to try something new and it is very near the hotel we stay at. Then, on my quest to branch out and try new things, I completely ignored their specific recommendations (the steak or the chicken Caesar sandwiches) and ordered the roast pork! I have never had broccoli rabe. I see Lidia Bastianich use it all the time, and I love veggies, so let's GO! Ultimately, I chose poorly. Not because of the sandwich, but because of my own preference. I came to find out, I do not care for broccoli rabe. But I will say this for the sandwich, it is HUGE. These things are like $17-20 but I will say they justify the price. It puts your foot longs to SHAME. And they are not skimping on the meat. I couldn't eat half of it and that was after tossing all the veg. The pork was very tender, the cheese was nice and melty, and the bread held up without being so crusty it tears up your mouth. It is just a counter inside a building and had the most people I saw on Sunday, waiting in their line. The man taking orders was super friendly and the folks in the back were furiously working to turn out sandwiches at a quick pace. I thought Columbus was pretty sleepy on a Sunday afternoon, until I got to Warios. I have a feeling I would have enjoyed anything else on the menu, more than the sandwich I ordered. And again that is my fault. But I will come back Warios, and make it up to you. I have a feeling you are worth 5 stars.
I think the video speaks for itself. The chicken Caesar was absolutely amazing. No notes on it whatsoever. It's a classic for a reason. The Reuben was also very good. I think it was missing a little bit of something but still very, very tasty and meaty. The portions are huge. You really get the most bang for your buck.
Stopped by for a quick bite on a lazy Sunday afternoon and they did not disappoint. Parking is an issue so be prepared to look for a spot and walk. The staff was friendly , the food was hot and fresh. It's tucked inside Marconi station so stop in and give them a try.

I loved the balance of flavor and the bread is incredible as it's baked from another local bakery! Fresh baked bread, tender and juicy meats, deliciously creamy sauces - it doesn't get better than this. 10/10, no notes. There's a bit of line during lunch rush but it moves fast and is worth it. Great team of people who are kind and courteous. Limited indoor seating with a few outdoor tables. I can't wait to come back when I'm town.
I saw this place on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and wanted to check it out. I was so happy to come here at last. I got roasted beef and the steak with the whiz on the side. Oh my gosh, this place has the best sandwiches in Ohio. I had Philly cheesesteak in Philly before but I have to say this place has the best cheesesteak I have ever had. The bread held up the meat so well. The ratio of bread and meat was perfect. The steak and roasted pork were moist and tender. You could tell they were good quality meats. Next time I come here, I am gonna try the Wario's way with some giardiniera.
My friend has been telling to try Warios for 3 years and we were back in Columbus for the football game and finally got to try it! We tried all four sandwiches. I had the regular cutlet with the tomato butter. My son had the Caesar cutlet my friend son had the pork and man the Friend other son had the steak and it was all delicious. Incredible sandwiches definitely I'll be back and I would order these anytime. I come to Columbus.
My partner and I took a day trip from Cincinnati and one of the most recommended restaurants is Warios! We came on a Saturday afternoon, hours before any sports game, and easily found cheap street parking nearby. There is an order counter inside and we only had to wait several minutes. If we would have come even 20 minutes later, we would have to wait in line to order and pick up! There are tables inside the building but were all full so we are outside on a nice, sunny day. We split the chicken cutlet sandwich and spuds. The portion sizes were large and we even had leftovers. The potatoes and chicken cutlets were cooked perfectly crispy!
If you're a fan of cheese steak sandwiches, then this is a must try spot. I'm not a huge fan, but I do like them. It's more of a couple of years indulge for me. The portions and taste are spot on. So, if you start craving some cheesy meat and onions on a bun, this is a must try spot.

Wandered over from my hotel and saw this not so hidden gem. Got the chicken cutlet and the sandwich I received was probably the biggest chicken cutlet sub I've ever bought (was wondering the 17$ price tag but immediately answered. This sub could feed two very hungry people easily. Fry was perfect not overly greasy, the sauce and peppers were rich and delicious. This is one of those places that will have a line out the door on peak nights. I would go again but I don't think I'll get hungry ever again after that.

There were also plenty of tables available, making it easy to sit down and enjoy our meal. Great food, generous portions, and a casual atmosphere. We'd definitely stop back the next time we're in the area.
Fast, friendly, and hit the spot. Ordered the Wario's Way (less whiz) and had food in hand in under 5 minutes flat. Service was great, the kind of place where they clearly have their system dialed in. The caramelized onions were tasty, and honestly giving off a French onion soup vibe that might've overshadowed the beef. Sandwich was solid overall, though maybe I'd built it up in my head a bit too much going in... still good, just not quite the mind-blowing experience I was hoping for. Warios Beef and Pork in downtown Columbus is home to one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! I got the crispy chicken caesar salad sandwich with a side of Wario sauce. It was MASSIVE- great portion size. The chicken was tender and juicy, the tomato butter was earthy and tangy and the lettuce was crisp. The Wario sauce was an indulgent garlic aioli w/ caramelized onions- so yummy! The vibe was super casual and the service was friendly and fast. read more

I finally made it in to Wario's for lunch, and I thank the old gods and the new that I did. What flavor! What amazing character this place has. What aromas tantalized my nose as I waited. A camaraderie quickly formed among those of us in line, as regulars (experienced Warians) shared tips and recommendations with us newbies. I got the cheese steak and (crispy) chicken cutlet Caesar, plus an order of Warios spuds - crispy perfect potatoes with killer dipping sauce. Everything was ridonculously perfect. Like, out of this world good. Be sure to ask about off-menu daily specials! You order at the window, your food is made to order and then you feast - either at a few tables there or outside or in your car. The way everything smelled... sweet fancy Moses. I had to pull over and start tasting things, I couldn't make it home! I'll definitely be back. This place is worth all the hype - and then some! read more

Now I know what all the hype is, this place is FANTASTIC!!! Who needs to go to Philly to get a cheesesteak when there is Warios here in Columbus. Lets talk about how ginormous these cheesesteaks are. You could honestly share one with your spouse, kids, friends, coworkers....the person sitting next to you. Or just keep it for yourself for lunch/dinner later. . This place spent skip a beat. They were crank your food like their pants were on fire. The service was excellent, answered all my questions about the menu without being exasperated. The line to order moves super fast which was very surprising. It's a small space, but it somehow fits everyone inside. read more
I can't believe I haven't posted a review of my favorite sandwich spot in Columbus yet, but Wario's is a MUST visit! They have the biggest & baddest sandwiches in the city, and are serving up crazy cool sandwiches you won't be able to find anywhere else! Every single thing I've had from here has been incredible! The Sunday meatball is hands down my favorite, with the grilled Caesar being a close second! The cold cut is an amped up version of the classic deli sub, & the vodka sauce on the chicken cutlet is a game changer! We got to town early for a Jackets game and gave Warios a try. They did not disappoint. I ordered the Warios way steak and my wife had the falafel. The guy at the counter was happy to help her get everything vegan and the food was amazing. I found this in my drafts and we have been back at least 5 times. Nothing changes top notch food and friendly people. Seating on the patio is nice in the warmer months but can be a challenge when it's cold. read more

Fantastic!! Philly is cheesy, wholesome, & and unmatched classic. Loved the Classic Chicken Cutlet sandwich: unique veggies & perfectly breaded, fried chicken cutlet. If you love large subs stuffed well and served piping hot then you need to give this place a try. We ordered the Cheesesteak the wario way. The cheese wiz on it is had to explain beyond ooey gooey goodness! The grilled onions are perfection. The buns get high marks for the sesame seeds. I love those! We also ordered the Chicken Caesar with the crispy chicken. Everything about it was spot on. Plenty of romaine, dressing and fresh grated cheese wrapped around those crispy chicken strips. It was delicious. I think it may have even edged out the cheesesteak in my opinion which surprised me. For a place that you walk up to the counter and place your order we were served quickly. Waited less than 5 minutes for our order and we weren't the only ones there. You can sit inside or at tables outside. We sat long enough to share half of each sub and then wrapped them back up and headed to our next stop. As for the half of each sub that we took home, the chicken sub was great cold the next day. We heated the cheesesteak just enough to take the chill off and it may have been even better than day one. So leftovers are just as good as freshly served. read more
This is the type of sandwich shop you wish had a place in every city you go to. Fresh rolls and huge sandwiches, better come here with an empty stomach. Feels like a hole in the wall shop but you can tell they push out tons of sandwiches each day, all with tons of flavor. Tried the chicken Caesar and the cheesesteak, both of which were great. Felt like there was about 3 pounds of chicken on the roll! House spuds were freshly cooked and made for the perfect side. read more
The North Market is a great place to stop by for lunch if you are in Downtown Columbus. There are so many tasty options, but Warios was one of my favorites. While I have had a genuine Philly Cheesesteak, including from Pat's, I cannot judge the authenticity of the sandwich, but will say that it is really good. There are plenty of tables upstairs if you do not intend to take the food to go. I will certainly consider stopping here again the next time I am in Columbus (even though there are still a few restaurants in the market that I would like to try). read more

2ND Time going to Warios. THEY DON'T MISS. 1st time Clintonville Got "The Steak" warios way 2nd time downtown. Chicken Cutlet. I have a new local favorite. The owner was taking orders on the phone. Handing out in-stone and online/pickups. A customer asked about cleaning a table that was apparently dirty and the owner came out and wiped them both down. Washed his hands and Went back to frontline. Great food and service. I will be back read more

When my daughter invited me out for lunch, it is proper etiquette in my book to say. Yes with a joyous appreciative smile. And thus began lunch at Warios Beef & Pork, a Midwestern franchise sandwich shop. I'm figuring that it is the thought that counts. She even insisted that she pay for the lunch date. My daughter knows that I eat early, breakfast at 6am, lunch at 11:30am and dinner at 3pm. This is not a fancy place. Most of their business is take-out but we sat at a table inside. Order and pick-up at the counter. When your order is ready, you get a call. We ordered the "Roasted Pork sandwich" $16 which we split. I usually do not eat much at one time so a half of a sandwich is more than enough for lunch. The sandwich was large with rosemary/fennel, cured pork shoulder, broccoli rabe, picante provolone and served with pork jus on a fresh baked semolina bread. I found it to be a very tasty sandwich. I ate the sandwich with a bottle of "Coca Cola" $2, a drink I have enjoyed since I was a kid. The most important thing about this lunch was that my daughter was happy that she could buy me lunch and I enjoyed it. read more
Nothing to see here... Just a couple of easy five star sandwiches. In from out of town and after doing some homework, headed to the downtown location. Kept it simple one roast pork sandwich and one chicken cutlet sandwich. Well, not cheap, not bad at all considering it's probably two meals in terms of how big these sandwiches are. I finally made it here! After seeing Warios featured on Triple D, I had to make it a point to try out for myself. I'm a HUGE cheesesteak nut and made it a point to try all of the best that Philly had to offer when I lived in Pennsylvania. I ordered the Warios Way inside since the window was not open. Not a lot of seating, but I didn't care since I was headed back to the car. I took pics because I had a feeling this was not gonna last long. Homemade roll with sesame seeds...unreal!! Chopped sirloin drowning in homemade cheese then topped with grilled onions. No joke I was in heaven! Hands down the BEST cheesesteak I've ever had in my life. The care that goes into each sandwich comes thru with every bite. I didn't time myself, but my Warios Way didn't last 5 minutes. I would take a bite, look at the sandwich, then let out a grunt of approval. All that was missing was a beer and a pillow. I can't rave enough about this cheesesteak. They are only open Wednesday thru Sunday but I will make it here every few weeks when the craving kicks in. Try them out! You won't be sorry. Unless you don't like steak and cheese and onions wrapped in goodness. Then go have a salad lol. read more

This spot is a great hidden gem for a sandwich, located right across the street from the stadium. Given its prime location, I'm sure they get a lot of business, especially after games--it's the perfect meal after a few beers, and it tastes amazing. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Cutlet sandwich, which had a $2 upcharge for fried chicken, bringing the total to about $18. The sandwich was huge--definitely big enough to share. My friend and I each got one but ended up splitting both, and we still had leftovers. The service was what you'd expect from a busy, fast-paced sandwich shop. They take your order, there's a lot of movement and shouting, and then they call your name when it's ready. There was a long line even though there wasn't a game that day, so it's clear they have a great reputation. The place was also clean, both inside and out. I'd definitely come back! read more
Been here SEVERAL times but this is my first time leaving a review. Not much to say about this place that already hasn't been said and if you don't know about it then you must be living under a rock. This is one of the premier sandwich spots not only in Columbus but the entire Midwest. Check em out! read more
