Although busy, we were seated right away, and were promptly greeted by our server. He took very good care of us; our drinks came out quickly, and the food was served in a timely manner. Holey donuts! That is actually what they are called on the menu and they live up to the name. For a place that is not known for donuts, they were better than any I have had from a donut shop in Columbus. The donuts themselves are little nuggets of soft, cakey goodness, but it is the dipping sauces that really make it special. One is a fruit jam and the other is a dark chocolate sauce. We ate other food too and it was good, but get those donuts while you can. They are a limited seasonal special. Service was great as well. read more

My in-laws came into town and before they left wanted to stop at First Watch for brunch/lunch. My wife is celiac, I'm gluten intolerant, and we're both lactose intolerant and somehow it all worked out. The server's mother was celiac, so she was really knowledgeable about the gluten-free options. We were able to get a sandwich, a side salad, and juice all gluten and dairy free and we weren't charged extra for the GF bread! The food was pretty good overall (the Morning Meditation drink was surprisingly good), but we really appreciated their service and care the most. read more

I've been here a few times and I like this location better than the Worthington one because of the layout. If you're on a special diet I highly suggest looking at their menu online ahead of time because so you can check things like ingredients, sodium, and cholesterol (most of their menu is *really* high in sodium, so you've been warned!). The frittata rustica is one of the healthier options I like to order. Last time I splurged and had the parmesan prosciutto toast, and that was hands down, the best thing I've ever had at First Watch. I had a bite of my hubby's the last time we ate here and I couldn't stop thinking about it, so we had to go back for it! The sourdough toast with fluffy scrambled eggs, prosciutto, arugula w/lemon, topped with fresh shredded parm is absolute perfection! One thing I do not recommend is the million dollar potatoes. My hubby upgraded his side to that and it was insanely salty. So much so that he only ate a few bites. I sampled a tiny bite and wished I hadn't. IMO, the best side is the seasonal fruit. The service here is alright, but not as good as the Dublin location. But I'm ok with that because I don't live near Dublin. read more

During a spike in Covid-19 cases, I was saddened that this place doesn't ask customers to wear masks. Fully half of the people were maskless. There was no social distancing between tables. I even had to flag down the manager to ask our waitress to cover her nose. I had the Bacado since I wanted to compare it to the same dish at the First Watch in Huber Village. It was a smaller amount of food and the egg was dense. They covered the salad greens with the toast to conceal the skimpy portion. read more

We visited First Watch this morning and I must admit it has been awhile since we had gone there. There were menus on the table as well as a supplemental menus as well. The regular menu has the normal breakfast items, BUT there was a surprise on the smaller menu. It ended up being an awesome, deliciously deep dish of egg&cheese omelette, black beans, tortilla chips smothered with a spicy barbacoa, wedge of lime and guacamole. I wish I had taken a photo before plowing into it but I didn't. The attached photo obviously is from a table card. If you order the Barbacoa Chilaquiles Breakfast Bowl you absolutely cannot go wrong. We were in town for a wedding and the groomsmen & their spouses meet here for a wedding day brunch before all of the activities began. A few folks had been to the chain before and spoke highly of it. I was impressed that we didn't have to wait too long for our party of 8. We were seated at the community table. The host gave us two choices, a high top or two separate tables. He may have called out specifically that it was a community table, but most of us missed that. (more on that later) We started with the pumpkin spice donut holes. For me, these are a pass. I found them overfried and on the blend side. They were basically a sugar delivery vehicle; I was hoping the donuts themselves carried flavor. I can't recall what everyone got, but the breakfast tacos stood out; the guy who got those was really pleased with his order. Husband got some kind of Benedict which comes with a side of greens. We weren't sure if it was intentional or an oversight. Our server wasn't around much (I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was slammed), so we didn't get a change to rectify it. I ordered the Floridian French Toast, basically fruit topped french toast. Overall it was good, but the kiwi seemed like a weird fruit topping. I also got the potatoes as a side and those were really good, but a bit under cooked. Some of the potatoes were firm. Maybe it's because I'm from out of town (all of us were), but I wasn't the only one caught off guard that they'd sit strangers at our table in the midst of a pandemic. The first guy sat at an empty chair we were holding for another bridal party member in the middle of the group. It took us a moment to realize none of us knew him and he kindly moved to the other end where he wasn't in the midst of our party. Another group took over the seats when he finished. Overall, First Watch is fine. I'm guessing it's a reliable choice if you're in the area. I don't think we'd be regulars if we lived here. We had lunch here yesterday with our two children. This is a nice restaurant with very good food. My wife had the lemon ricotta pancakes. They were great. I had the roast beef sandwich with gouda and the chicken chili. The chili was outstanding! Outrage daughter had seven side dishes. The biscuit was badly burned and the bacon was over cooked on one side and under done at the other end of the piece. The manager said our waiter was brand new. Initial contact took too long. When he did arrive I mentioned sarcastically that "they must be busy" (the place was nearly empty and only a few tables with people). He missed it and started telling me how they will get busy later. We placed our order and waited. We never received any updates along the way. Another server dropped off the food, and we had to flag down another server to get condiments, and silverware. He never came back to check on us, and when we finished our server was nowhere to be seen. I walked to the host area and spoke with an associate, who based on her reply must have been a manager, but didn't say otherwise. I asked for boxes, more coffee, and our check. She brought boxes but no coffee, and our server showed up with the check and made a comment under his breath about being busy now. I asked him for coffee to go since we never received refills during our meal. When I cashed out, the same lady that brought our boxes asked how the meal was. I mentioned what happened and she offered to adjust the check. We have visited here many times prior to this and have left each time saying the service has really gone down, but the food has always been great, but expensive. **Online order/call ahead order 4/11/20** The restaurant was already closed for the day so I placed an online order so I could get my food when they open at 7:00 am. I placed my order and then tried to check out. The system wouldn't accept my coupon, and I didn't want to deal with a refund so I waited until the morning of 4/11 to call when they opened and place an order over the phone. I called a few minutes past 7 am and spoke with Keith. I mentioned that I tried to place an online order and the system would not accept my coupon and that I would like to place an order over the phone for pick up. He said they were only doing online orders and not taking orders over the phone. He also said they are not accepting any coupons. I mentioned that I was not ok with this and his reply was, people that make more money than us decided to do it this way. I didn't place an order and ended the call very disappointed, so we ate somewhere else. This is my first time at this location. And a was surprised to see that there was not a wait on a Saturday around 11/12pm. Which is actually a good thing in my book because it is always packed at any location. Rough day at First Watch, one my favorite restaurants! Walking into the Polaris location, I was struck by an overwhelming smell/odor. It was not coffee or baked goods, or yummy food. It smelled like a sour bar rag. And it was overwhelming! Our party was seated. Our waitress was lovely but struggled with our order. We came on a Sunday morning, family of 4. I definitely recommend to check in using Yelp ahead of time as it drastically lowers your wait Time and they are pretty on point with how long until your seated. The boys enjoyed their kids meals which came with egg, breakfast meat and bread. We also ordered a waffle for them and they loved the taste. My husband ordered the pancakes as he said first watch has the best pancakes. I tried a bite and he was right , amazing flavor! I had the eggs Benedict. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because it had a weird minty taste to it the hollandaise sauce which I've never experienced before so flavor was not so good on that but it was filling. My husband ordered the orange juice with tumerick and beets in it, supposed to be super healthy . He thought it was disgusting so I drank it. My family and I just love First Watch. I usually check in on the app and I totally forgot this time, so we had about a 45 minute wait. When we were seated, we were asked what we would like to drink. I asked for water. My parents both got their drinks then our server walked away and I didn't get my drink. When she came back to take our order, I asked her if I could get water. She said "yes, I'm going to bring some for the whole table." At least ten minutes-maybe more go by and I still didn't have any water. She finally came back with water. Food came out so quickly which was great! I went with a tried and true favorite, the Floridian French Toast. They topped it with even more fresh fruit than usual and it was absolutely delicious! My only complaint is I don't think a side of 4 pieces of bacon should cost over $4, so I'll probably skip that in the future. First Watch is a great chain restaurant for breakfast, and use to be my favorite. Unfortunately they dropped the Killer Cajun Omelette off of the menu, or I woulds till be going frequently. The food is always fresh, and looks amazing. If you are into more of a sweet/fruit based breakfast, this is definitely the place for you (see the Floridian, or the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes) that is where they really shine. Reserve ahead seating is also great through Yelp as the wait can be long, and there is no waiting room. I'm more into a savory breakfast, biscuits & gravy are my go to, so I tried the Turkey Sausage Gravy and biscuits. They were not good, no flavor, and I cant even tell you what they tasted like. If i was blindfolded it could have been dumplings in hot milk....not good,m. Impressive customer care, although we faced some tough wait times and wasn't handled in the best manner the team took care of the issue and made it fair! So now we can review their food and a couple previous visits! There bacon is fantastic, crispy and a million $$ kind of taste. Their wheat bread is so good that we often bring home a loaf for a small premium (7 bucks) and enjoy it throughout the week. They've created awesome family meals that have all the goodies for a nice price. We've enjoyed the breakfast family dinner a few times. Cool atmosphere to meet up with friends and family. I am a First Watch fanatic so of course I needed to try the new seasonal menu. The Vanilla Chai Latte Pancakes were as amazing as they sound. You could taste every flavor and the almond butter drizzle with superseed crunch and fruit on top was the perfect combination. I wish these were always on the menu! We also ordered the Farmhouse Hash and Frittata Rustica (w/ no cheese) which did not disappoint. The prices are fair for the quality and portions. If you sign up for the Suneclub there is often $2 off coupons sent out via email.
