The food was great. The servers were great. The management is terrible. We asked for black tea, the entire restaurant was out. Like none and the servers were baffled. The servers went above and beyond looking for a last English breakfast tea. The ordering system went down so only half our table got their food. The other half had to reorder and wait. We were there for over an hour and a half from the time we sat down until we got the food. There was no apology from management just the server who was working like a dog. They had servers running around trying to compensate for what is clearly a lack of management. The food and server redeemed the experience but don't think I'll be back to this location any time soon. read more

This has been a disappointment. This was our 3rd attempt to eat here because it is usually busy. I expected great good and great service. But we got poor fair service and poor food. Service was slow. I had steak eggs hash 11.99. The meat was cold. The eggs I ordered over medium, got overdone. The Million dollar Bacon 4.99 for 4 pieces burnt. 1 piece was good the other 3 were over done. So the server offered to have it remade. I asked to keep 1 piece and remake 3 but they had to remake all 4. This time they were 4 pieces overdone. The coffee was good. First Watch has a great variety of breakfast and brunch options. I've only ever eaten breakfast. One of my favorite go-to breakfast items here is the skillet hash. They have multiple varieties of hash with different ingredients, but each one that I've tried I've really liked. I have also had the eggs benedict. These come with different options as well, beyond just the standard version. This visit, I ordered the Farmhouse skillet hash. I also wanted a muffin on the side, and the muffin of the day was a lemon poppy seed muffin. I hadn't realized the hash came with toast until the waitress asked if I wanted to substitute the muffin or add it on. I substituted it for a small up-charge rather than paying for both, which was a nice option. The muffin was tasty, fresh, moist, just perfect, really. When you order coffee, they bring the pot to the table, and they have little individual creamers in regular or flavored varieties. They are sometimes a little slow if they are busy, but it makes for a nice leisurely breakfast experience. I'm sure this contributes to the line that sometimes forms out the door, so you really have to arrive at a good time (i.e. before everyone else). read more

Came here with my friend for Sunday brunch. It was around 10:30 or so but we were able to get a table and seated quite promptly. The waitress came by with a pot of coffee which is something I wanted, but she poured the cup only half full. Not a big deal I get that they were busy. However the coffee was extremely diluted and lacked any taste and they only had creamer at the table to use. My friend got tea and they brought a large assortment of teas for her to chose from which they left at the table. My friend also ordered an orange juice which she had to remind the waitress of 3 times before she remembered it. For our meals, my friend ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict, I ordered the regular eggs benedict, ans we split the million dollar bacon. I will say the only worth while part of the meal was the bacon. It was nice and hot and a good mix of savory and sweet. The bacon was prepared well, not overly done but crisp and not soggy. However coming from NYC where brunch is a key meal, the eggs benedict leaved a lot to be desired. It lacked seasoning, and I wasn't expecting to see deli meat ham on a slice of ciabatta bread. The eggs were also on the over done side so it wasn't the nice runny yolk I am used to experiencing when cutting into the benedict. The hollandaise also was bland as can be. I think if I came back I'd opt for my friend's choice the smoked salmon benedict as it looked great or the ricotta pancakes which she also said were good. read more

First Watch is one of my favorite brunch spots so I decided to do online order carry out for the first time today. First and foremost, my order took 25 minutes longer than it was supposed to. It wasn't extremely busy, so that left me quite confused. What made this worse is that the hostesses did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation and acted annoyed by me standing there. During the pandemic, when you order takeout, you're looking for quick in and out. 25 minutes standing there as people came in and out felt uncomfortable. By the time I got my food and drove the 5 minutes home, it was stone cold and rock hard. I ordered what I usually do and I know how it SHOULD be. This wasn't it. Even the microwave couldn't fix it. They also didn't include preserves for the toast like they usually do - it's one of my favorite parts of their food. Overall I'm really disappointed, and I won't be going back until I can dine in. read more

I've always had good experiences at FirstWatch but this experience was "pretty good" We were seated in a reasonable amount of time for how busy they were. But it took over 10 minutes to be greeted once at our table and that ten minutes was artificially stopped because we waved someone down. All told from door to food it was 38 minutes. The attention to detail in the ordering was lacking a bit too and added to the feeling that we had surprised them a bit by stopping in. Small things, like that I asked for a glass of milk with my meal and got it immediately. I know that seems petty, but just like a fresh pair of brand new socks, there is something nice about a cold glass of milk that a 10 minutes at room temperature glass of milk can't match. And we had to ask for refills on my wife's hot. I had the fresh fruit Crepes and I think they were good. Everything was fresh and looked nice. I may end up looking like a fool here, but I had never had cold Crepes prior to today. At first I thought maybe my meal had gotten cold but it was very cold with no hint of heat anywhere. There is a good chance that this is how they are served by design and this is my announcement to the world that I've never been to France. First Watch came highly recommend and the staff was very pleasant, so I'm going to call this 3 star a "possible fluke" and give them another shot soon. And again, no demerit for the cold Crepes. Every so often one get to have a dish that is outstanding. The new wild mushroom frittata is such a dish. Delicate earthy mushroom flavors with sweet onions in the frittata enhanced by the melted cream cheese and the herb ciabatta toast is a memorable experience. I strongly suggest a side of potatoes to go with it. Try the pomegranate mule with fresh lime and ginger. I would have taken a picture but I ate it too fast. read more

Went here this Saturday morning around 10:30 for brunch. Had been to this location before, and as was our experience before, the wait was short despite a crowded restaurant. The food is tasty for breakfast/brunch. They have several healthy options that are delicious. I usually go for the Tri-Athlete Omelette (egg whites, mushrooms, onions, green chiles - I add spinach) or the Power Wrap (egg whites, turkey, spinach, mushrooms, swiss cheese in a wrap), but today tried the Healthy Turkey omelette (egg whites, onions, tomatoes, feta, spinach, turkey). All three are delicious and actually nutritious. My meal today came with tomato slices that tasted like fresh tomatoes (I hate styrofoam tomatoes), an English muffin, and I added potatoes because I was feeling saucy. The potatoes are crispy and delicious, though despite the fact that I usually order from the "Healthier Side" menu, I would prefer them with more butter (who doesn't like a little more butter, am I right?). On the not-as-healthy side, of note is the Joaquin Yahoo, a fritatta packed with veggies and topped with salsa, cheese, and sour cream. Is it the most mind-blowing food ever? No. Is it consistently delicious? Definitely. I'd like to give it 3.5 stars, but Yelp says that's not an option. Bottom line - when we're thinking of brunch and don't want to go as far as Northstar, First Watch is a favorite spot. read more

We went back to give First Watch another try after customer service contacted me since reading my last review on Yelp. I give them amazing credit for caring about what their customers have to say and how they feel and they went way beyond what I would have expected to invite us back for a full meal on them. I wish I could give them a half star step up because I was so impressed with their attitude... however I am sad to report that the food while better than the last time was still nothing to write home about again. It has changed my mind from not going to I would consider it when in the area, but I cannot justify giving it a 4 star rating. Today I had the chikichanga, which was actually flavorful and I really enjoyed the fact that it was rolled in a corn tortilla instead of a boring white flour one. My side of potatoes however came out with many burned pieces throughout it. The server quickly replaced them with better ones, but it continues to make me question quality control. I also encountered a large piece of onion skin inside my chickichanga, which I eventually had to just spit out. Overall these are minor issues and did not ruin the meal by any means. My husband had the cheddar and bacon pancakes. He ordered 2 of them and they were so filling he could not eat all of them. They were hearty and had decent flavor. Our server, Gale, was amazing today. She took wonderful care of us and made suggestions when I was torn between 3 dishes. She quickly resolved any issues and even offered us to go drinks. We did not tell her about our free meal so as not to skew the service or food... so this was all of her own doing. After talking to her for a few minutes we found she was very knowledgeable and has worked their for 10 years. It's nice to see employees that actually enjoy and value where they work so that gives the restaurant even more kudos in my book. read more

I always get the same meal every Saturday and Sunday after hitting the gym but somethings different now. The kind of different that causes an itch you just can't reach to scratch. I found the coffee station missing a major dent as the coffee isn't worth the cost of a cup but a small but keeps you preoccupied while we'd wait. Today I am here and I'm waiting, waiting and waiting. I use the app but I don't abuse it so before I leave the gym I check in. When I came here for Saturday brunch, it was fairly busy but wait time was only about 10-15 minutes. I ordered the Farmhouse hash and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. The potatoes underneath the eggs were seasoned well and the jam that comes with it was just the right amount of sweetness. I enjoy going out for food I can't make at home and everything we ordered I feel like I could prepare better myself. Million Dollar Bacon: expected more from this and was disappointed. This place is outstanding! I went for lunch and ordered the chicken avocado salad. Salad was well presented and very good. I went there in a bit of a rush and unfortunately food took a bit longer than usual to make it to the table. I never complained but the waitress noticed that it took 20 min to get my meal and she said since it took so long there would be no charge. This is the most outstanding customer service I have received at any restaurant at any price in recent memory. Having a waiter/waitress be proactive when an establishment doesn't exactly hit the mark and act prior to receiving a complaint is refreshing. Been here several times. The food is great and tasty. The only thing I don't like here is that the waitresses drop the check so fast and keep checking on us. It gave me the feeling that they want us to eat faster and leave ASAP so they can serve more customers. I understand that you guys are busy, but as customers, 30-45 minutes lunch time is reasonable and I think that's average lunch time. Our waitress dropped our check 8 minutes after we got our food today (yes I checked my watch and that's the way I observe the restaurant service) and she checked on us totally 4 times within 23 minutes after she dropped our check. We definitely hope more customers would come to your restaurant, but when a restaurant keep hitting its max capacity (that's a great thing), the management should think about expanding or extending business hours or other possible plans, avoiding rushing dining customers to leave to serve more waiting customers. read more

Surprisingly great! I wasn't expecting much from a chain restaurant. The food was great, and the menu was varied. You can easily get a little something sweet or a salad/vegetable on the side, it's not just a giant pile of one thing (which is my breakfast restaurant pet peeve- I prefer some variety in my life!). The pancakes were served hot enough to melt the butter- which is my other breakfast restaurant pet peeve, when the butter doesn't melt and is just a cold blob in the middle, ha ha. I like what they're trying to do here. A fresh and healthy spin on breakfast favorites. I got the "morning meditation" which was a drink of orange, lemon and beet juice with turmeric and ginger sweetened with agave. It was a little beety for me but was good overall. My breakfast sandwich though, could do without the lemon on the arugula, it just didn't mesh with the savory of the egg and avocado and my bun was stale. Huge menu though. read more

This restaurant was really great! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it is on the pricier side being $30. We ordered the farmhouse hash and the lemon ricotta pancakes. The farmhouse hash had 2 eggs potatoes bacon avocado and sun dried tomatoes. The pancakes were very light and had lemon spread and strawberries on top. The portions were the perfect size! Really? This is what all the hype was about? For years, I've been hearing about how AMAZING First Watch is, how they have the best everything ever of all time, and that's why you have to wait 73 hours for a table on a Saturday or Sunday morning. I finally tried it today, and while there was nothing wrong with it, I can't figure out what exactly it is that would make people rave so intensely. I had the cranberry-nut oatmeal (I loooove oatmeal), and it came with bananas, brown sugar and milk in addition to the berries and nuts already mixed in. Some places charge you for those extras, so that's good. It came with a so-so English muffin, and I got a side of bacon, which was way too crispy for my taste; it would shatter into shards with each bite. The coffee was average but I like that they leave the pot on the table. Even though our party had six adults, two small kids and three babies, our wait was only about 25 minutes on a Sunday morning, so that was a surprise. But by the time we left, there were crowds of people waiting outside. The wait staff did an admirable job setting up our complicated table arrangement. It is crowded on the weekends, but they do their best to get you seated as quickly as possible. The servers have always been very polite and helpful. I really enjoy how fresh the foods tastes and looks. Great prices too. Comparable to Bob Evans but a MILLION times better. My husband loves the Banana Granola Pancakes, and I love the Fresh Fruit Crepes. Definitely try it out. If you can go a weekday, DO. It is much LESS crowded! read more

It's what you would expect from a good breakfast place that is not Denny's or IHOP or the like. Their food is pretty run-of-the-mill so you won't find any holy grail type dishes that will make you go back over and over and over. I had some omelet with bacon and avocado which was pretty good. I'd eat it again. Hell, I'd have no problem going back here and eating something else, it's just not super special like some of the other places you can go to.
