I tried the turkey ciabatta sandwich ($13) which came with a choice of salad or fries (I opted for both). The sale was really excellent. The portion was generous and all my lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The house vinaigrette was lovely as well. My sandwich was solid as well. Super Sunday Brunch destination!! The ambiance was that of a french patisserie and the service was amazing. Our waiter kept our coffee cups full, and checked back several times to make sure we were okay. He even came around checked on us and warned us when he was taking a large paety order to make aure we had everything we needed in advance. Our party was 3 for for a Sunday brunch. There was about a 30 minute wait for a table, which wasn't too bad. Especiallly because I was running very late. My friends had Mimosas, there were a variety of choices, orange m8ango was delicious per the taster. They were also on brunch hour pricing at $6. I stuck to the mellow full bodied coffee they serve. This was my first time at Mimi's Cafe. The interior is adorable. I was surprised when I walked in. The service was a little too slow for my liking. We waited around 30 minutes for our food. Breakfast is a meal that typically doesnt take as long compared to dinner. When the food came out, it was good. I got the meat omelette with potatoes and a croissant (which was a $1 extra). The potatoes were great. Different than most breakfast places. Everything else was decent nothing special. The downside? The price. This meal was about $15. While tasty, it wasn't worth that much. After not visiting for about ten years, we were in the area and decided to stop in. We have now been twice in the past month and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The first visit was for an early dinner. I had the Hibachi Salmon which was moist flavorful and delicious as were the accompanying mixed vegetables. My wife had the Pot Roast and mashed potatoes which was very good too. On our second visit, we had brunch on a Sunday around 11:30. The restaurant was very busy, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. My wife ordered French Toast which came with eggs and bacon as well. She said it was very good. I had the Crab, Shrimp and Bacon Pasta. My meal was OUTSTANDING! There was a sweetness to the crab meat, my crustinis were not too hard not too soft. I would definitely order it again. Had mother's day brunch at Mimi's this morning. They were very busy but doing a good job at social distancing the tables We had a group of 11 so the food took a little longer than I would like but it all came out hot which was good. I got the breakfast tacos which were great portions! (See picture) the salsa was a yummy add and I also got some hot sauce to enhance the flavor. Ate with a friend while down here for a wedding and staying at a local hotel. We sat outside, they have a nice size area dedicated to outdoor dining with umbrellas. The waitress asked us if we'd like fried onions in our potatoes - Yes Please! That was a delicious addition. The eggs were cooked exactly how we asked and my bacon was crisp. I got coffee, my friend didn't. I'd say the service was a bit slow, we were there a long time, and I only got one coffee refill. My coffee was cold before our waitress came back to refill and we waited a while for our check to appear after I asked. Finally, these aren't diner prices. I got a carryout order for my bf (same as above) and I paid for my friend. Total for 3 breakfasts w/tip - $54! This place is my mom's favorite for eggs Benedict. And I love their Spinach and Feta omelet. But what's really impressive is the host. My mom is 97 and can't stand very long in lines. Ok to be fair to start, they only had 2 servers. It was Sunday about 4:30. Even with 3 servers the service was slower than it should have been. They were making multiple trips back and forth from the kitchen by passing other guests without acknowledging them. Two things immediately struck me when I entered Mimi's for the first time. One the place seemed huge. And Two the entire resembled a cross between a Bob Evan's and a barn. The perfect combination for a family breakfast spot. Our server was pleasant and came around often. For breakfast I had the salmon eggs benedict. It was an average eggs benedict. The egg probably should have been runnier and the English muffin seemed cheap and store bought. Overall, I'd say the flavor was ok. I wouldn't rush back to Mimi's to order it again. To drink I had an Irish Coffee. It was a bit more Irish than coffee (definitely not a complaint.) Since they didn't skimp on my alcohol I was surprised when one of my friends ordered a flight of mimosas and it came with the worlds smallest champagne bottle and 3 different juices. He wasn't very pleased to see another friend ordered just a mimosa (not a flight) and received the same size bottle he did. Overall, I wouldn't make it a point to go back to Mimi's. The service at this restaurant is horrible. I ordered a breakfast plate (French Toast Eggs bacon) the food took forever only to come to me cold. I asked them to remake the order and they bring the same plate still cold. They again took the plate back only to remake the eggs everything else still cold. Now I'm angry. Idk if this is because of me being black but they take the plate away only to bring back the same French toast with the same price of bacon that was in the toast they had taken away from the very first time. We have come to this restaurants few times. The restaurants is very cozy. It's a good place to come with your family if you want to be left alone and not care to much about customer service. The portion size is decent and so is the food. Last time we visited we ordered an omelet with Turkey Sausage, buttermilk pancake, a cinnamon roll and pumpkin muffin. Everything was just ok. The best out of all our food was the pumpkin muffin. Oh I did order coffee, which I never received. We had to ask for extra napkins and a straw several times before getting it. First time at Mimi's. I ordered the French dip with fries. It was good but the dip just tasted like beef broth. But the sandwich was moist so I didn't need to dip. Fries were delicious!!!! My friend thought she ordered the ham and cheese with French onion soup but ended up with chicken sandwich. She just went ahead and ate it and said it was good so didn't mention it to our server. A few weekends back, one of my friends and I ventured to Mimi's Cafe for a Sunday brunch; luckily she had called ahead because the place was swarming with folks. If you are very COVID cautious, this may not be your ideal location for dining (while the tables are sufficiently spaced, people are packed in the waiting area at all times). Fortunately, I am vaccinated, so I felt comfortable at this point in being at a dining location of this nature. Despite the crowds (we went around 11), we were seated within five minutes of our arrival. When we sat, we did have to wait a few minutes to order, but were patiently waiting, as our waiter was very friendly and had several tables. The atmosphere was welcoming, but it did feel like it was in need of a bit of updating. The interior didn't seem to mesh with the menu or the vibe that they were trying to accomplish; it was a bit stuffy and formal, but it felt like they were going for a trendy cafe feeling of sorts. Our food arrived in a pretty quick fashion and it was relatively good. I got the croque sandwich; it was decent and so were the fries, but it wasn't anything special and it was a bit dry. My friend got the salmon benedict and she seemed to enjoy it. We also got two mimosas that said they came with a split of champagne (a tiny bottle)- the bottle was not provided to us. Additionally, we ordered coffee and it wasn't anything special, but it was kept refilled and it was hot. Would I go back to this location? Sure. It was decent and they had a large menu (with mostly fair prices). But, I am hoping that my next meal is just an edge better. read more

Was looking for a spot to get brunch with my husband and in laws and this menu looked great! We must have arrived just in time because we got seated right away and then the rush came! The restaurant is really cute and quaint with an old time Italian bistro feel. The patio is absolutely beautiful! The service was pretty good and our server was really friendly. She was great and gave us all to go drinks which was a nice touch. The menu is really big and truly something for everyone. It was hard to decide because everything looked so good! I got the bacon avocado omelet with a croissant and it was good! I will say the bacon and avocado came on top of it, not in it. I feel like the omelet would have had more flavor if those items were actually inside. The bacon though was amazing and probably the best bacon I've ever had. The roasted potatoes came with it and they were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The croissant was fantastic. I placed a DoorDash order from here and it was awful. The sausage is dried up and hard, the French toast doesn't look anything like the picture. There's so powder sugar or anything on it. It's just plain and the caramel espresso I paid $5 for is plain ice coffee. There's no whipped cream or caramel in it. It's just coffee and ice. read more

We were surprised to arrive at 5:30 on a Sunday evening and find plenty of space in the parking lot, while the neighboring tavern was jam-packed. The answer appeared to be a sign on the front door: "Mimi's is temporarily not serving alcohol." Which was a lucky break because there was no wait. The quiche Florentine was wonderful, although the salad that accompanied it had greens too big to eat gracefully; a bit of tearing would've made it better. My friends liked the grilled salmon and jambalaya, each of which came with that same salad, and we were entertained by ducks and/or geese on the lake adjoining our fenced patio. (One intrepid goose approached the fence and happily accepted some croutons.) Nice atmosphere, very good food. read more
