All I can say is this place is a mess. The seating was minimal and confusing since it shares outdoor seating with the restaurant across the street. There were 0 seats available. The floor was messy and when I saw the espresso machine, it was pretty messy. It was so crowded with everyone standing around for their coffees, it was hard to get anywhere. The service was sub par. The lady asked if that was all after every single item when I had clearly had more to order. It came off as "are you done yet? Next!". It took so long to get my coffee and I could tell they were frazzled with orders and were mixing them up. I got a hot maple latte. I took my first sip and it was straight cinnamon powder. I stirred it up and continued to drink it. Straight cinnamon the whole drink. Couldn't finish it, not worth $6. I got a croissant, which looked beautiful. Sadly I could tell it was at least a day old. It was warmed up to "cover it up" but it crumbled in my hand instantly. I think I lost 1/3 croissant to flakes that fell off. Stale throughout. I'd like to give them another chance, but they messed up on almost every aspect of a good coffee shop. read more

The lavender coffee had a strong lavender taste without being overly sweet which I enjoyed. The overall look of the cafe was very pretty and welcoming and I would have liked to sit there and eat or read a book if I had the time that day. The ambiance was great. I came here on a Monday while I was just walking by waiting for my appointment at Burk. It was quite busy and I thought I would try it. The latte was good. Customer service was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. It was very comfortable and work friendly. I come here often to get some work done and it makes homework/office work 1000x easier because the place is so darn cute. I've tried almost all of their lattes and have yet to try one I don't like- the baristas are so nice and always give me the correct type of milk. Everything has a home-made feeling, and the drinks taste fresh and have great espresso flavor. Over-all my fave coffee shop in LA for a work date/treat ya self moment. read more

The best latte I have had in a very long time. I got a hot savvvy special with almond milk and it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it alongside the ambience of the cafe that is minimalistic and fun. I really wanted to like this coffee shop as a Pasadena native who loves to support small businesses and lives in walking distance, but unfortunately it missed the mark. I will say the aesthetic and ambience is super warm and cozy. For a new spot, the service was subpar, but given that it is the holiday season, I will just assume the lack of friendliness came from sheer exhaustion, which is reasonable. We ordered a maple matcha and a rosy cheeks latte, and the drinks were just simply not good. The matcha was tolerable, but ridiculously sweet. I've never had a matcha that sweet. The rosy cheeks latte was honestly just really gross. It was super grainy, I didn't taste any coffee, and the rose flavor itself just did not taste right. I LOVE rose-flavored things, but I couldn't get through more than two sips of my latte, and I had to throw it out. This was just a really disappointing trip. Maybe it was just an off day, but my family and I were just deeply disappointed. Based off this experience, I will say there are way better coffee shops in the area. read more

Ordered a latte and a bagel with cream cheese...the young lady at the register hands my my already toasted bagel and then proceeds to inform me that they are out of cream cheese...we'll they have cream cheese in a tub but she can't scoop it out for me because it's the wrong type and they're sending it back. I gently mentioned that I didn't really want the bagel since there was no spread and mentioned that I would have happily chosen another item should she have informed me when I placed my order (or even before she toasted it). She didn't offer me a refund nor did she offer something else. I was stuck with a dry bagel and an inconvenient walk down the street to spend more money to buy myself cream cheese from Starbucks. This is pretty bad customer service. The coffee was amazing but it's not enough to come back, especially when there are so many good coffee shops around. read more

Want to like this place but hours are inconsistent. Tried to come here twice at or near open around 8am and 8:20am. This is not an easy area to find parking in so quite a bit of wasted effort and disappointing because the drinks are decent. Consistency builds loyalty. Savvvys has easily become one of my favorite little spots in Old Town Pasadena, for only being open for such a small period of time. It's got such a great work atmosphere, with a dining area that makes you feel like you're in a comfy living room. The coffee menu is well put together, with each latte being unique and very balanced. My favorites are the Maple Latte and Savvvy special, but I also tried the Lavender latte which was a great floral alternative. Savvvy's is a very cute cafe nestled in a quiet side street in old town Pasadena. It can be easy to miss at first glance, but you won't want to. The space is bright and open, filled with cute art and comfortable seating to have a drink and work. I had a Savvvy's special, and it was VERY yummy. I keep craving that drink i had -- i wish they delivered. I would have it all the time if i could. I haven't gotten the chance to visit again yet, but i'm sure the rest of the menu is just as delicious. The barista behind the counter, Savvvy herself, was very kind, courteous and accommodating. I don't live in the neighborhood but i will definitely be making a stop my next time in Pasadena. read more

This place is cute! If you're looking for a coffee shop with good coffee and that typical coffee shop vibe that's good for sitting and working, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place. I ordered the savvy latte and I couldn't taste the coffee at all. The vibe is cute for hanging out and there's a very strong incense smell, but it's not somewhere I could see myself getting work done for a while- the tables are an odd height and the furniture is for aesthetic purposes. The staff is friendly, but there's definitely better coffee in the area. read more

Loved this place. Did a little research before finding a spot to do a zoom meeting in Pasadena. So happy found Savvvys. The ambiance and vibe is just perfect. It's off the main road so it feels lovely without the energy of a busy road and cars. The Matcha was delicous. The seats comfortable. The style of furniture was stylish and cozy in one. The caramel latte with oat milk just tasted like iced milk and the croissant tasted old. Maybe left overs from the day before ?

I always love trying new places and was intrigued to come in when I came across Savvvys Yelp page. When you put the directions on Google maps it doesn't tell you to go through the alley, they are right next to an Açaí Bar and across Edwin Mills. Super cute place, and even better drinks. I ordered the iced matcha latte with oatmilk and vanilla. It was *chefs kiss*. My husband got the Iced Maple Latte and he said it was literally the best iced coffee he's ever had and only negative thing is that they didn't have a bigger size, lol. We also got a ham and cheese croissant (it had mustard inside) and a Nutella croissant which next time I won't ask for it to be warmed up because it got a little too messy but still was okay. Service was also okay. There is also a lot of space and seating to bring your laptop and do some work or to have a coffee date and chat. Definitely will suggest people to come and try this place out, I always appreciate a place that has good coffee. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu. read more
