I had a good experience at Savvvys (Pasadena). I ordered the Savvvys Special ($7 - 16oz - Iced). It's coffee with agave and cinnamon powder. It's clean, crisp, & chill coffee. I felt awake. I arrived at Savvvys (Pasadena) on Sunday (around 2:20PM). Parking is stressful; it's all paid parking. There's a nearby Parking Garage that says $5 for 24 hours. There's also pay toll machines that charge 25 cents per 12 minutes (2 Hour Time Limit). Staff is polite and professional. Staff is composed and efficient. When asked if they could clean a table, Staff immediately helped. Staff also answered all my questions. My coffee took two minutes and 53 seconds. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Savvvys Special ($7 - 16oz - Iced). It's functional and delicious. I appreciated its strength, and the flavor of fresh coffee & cinnamon is pronounced. The coffee is not bitter nor too sweet; rather, it flowed like silk. TASTY! [[HIGHLIGHT]]On ambiance, Savvvys (Pasadena) is lovely. I appreciated the cleanliness, greenery, and displayed artwork. The location has about eight tiny interior tables. And the seats are plush and comfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also utility at Savvvys (Pasadena). There's customer internet with password; details are written on the counter's transparent display. There's also about seven electrical outlets. WOW! The location is filled with studying/working customers. There's even a self-service water station in the corner. I also appreciated the soft music[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Overall, I had a good experience at Savvvys (Pasadena). There's quality and charm at this business. If you're searching for another study/work spot in Pasadena, this is an easy recommendation. 4.7 out of 5

Came here with my best friend on a Sunday morning. This spot is tucked away in the heart of Old Town Pasadena in an alleyway right across from Edwin Mills by Equator. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely little spot with greenery all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love me some Ube so I automatically gravitated towards the Boo Berry Crumble. I loved it! It was delicious! I ended up ordered it with oat-milk It was definitely blueberry heavy, which I didn't mind. I enjoyed the texture. Enjoyed the drink and the vibes! Service was excellent, the ladies were sweet! Hot tip: come in the early morning on Sundays. Free street meter parking before 10 or 11am.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a beautiful coffee and pastry shop! I see the term Instaworthy used a lot these days, but these are one of those places that truly deserve it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] More importantly, the drinks and pastries here are good. Full disclosure, I came here, trying to hit up another new pastry spot in the area. But the line was down the block. There was no way I was gonna wait in that line so I found this spot on a quick search. It's almost criminal that there was no one at the shop and it was so close to the other spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will say this place doesn't have a lot of visibility from the main street because you'd have to walk in a little bit down, sort of an alleyway with other shops and eateries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The person behind the counter was really, really friendly and helpful. I was able to get my drink (Savvvy's Special) pretty much right away and the Matcha & Pistachio croissant was really delicious. I was on my way to meet up with some friends at their house so I wasn't able to sit here for very long and enjoy the serene and beautiful setting. Definitely a big fan of this place and would love to come back soon.

We came by to redeem the Savvvys promotion from the SGV passport. It was for a BOGO free on any drink purchase. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are located in the Mills Pl alley area. We came by on same Sunday as the Rose Bowl Marathon so it was very busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location has spacious dining areas outside and a few tables inside the shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was very personable and kind to us. She noted customers periodically use the SGV passport from time to time. We decided on the Savvvys Special and Matcha Chaga. Both of them with Oat Milk. They do offer all kinds of milk alternative bases. Our drinks were completed within minutes and we enjoyed them outside in the patio. IMO, both of them were stellar. The perfect blends of sweetness with the proper amount of caffeine to boost you up for the day! Of the two, I enjoyed the Savvvys the most and would order it again. Easy to find, friendly services, great outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating. Lady lavender (4/5) tasty and strong Strawberry chocolate scone (2.5/5) I'm not a scone person but this sounded delicious and was hoping it would change my mind but it didn't. Such a cute spot with nice outdoor and indoor seating. The ordering area can be cramped during busy hours but you can easily wait outside after. Ordered the Savvvy Special which basically tastes like a honey cinnamon latte. It wasn't overly sweet which I liked and had a good balance of the espresso. Overall a good spot and I would come again

Really appreciated the lady who answered my questions about the coffee and cafe itself. I also like how there are so many milk options that do not cost extra to choose from. One of the best lil coffee shops in Pasadena, it's in an alley way with some different other business so it's away from the Main Street noise which makes it peaceful the patio and inside is very aesthetically pleasing. I had order a Hot Maple Latte w/ Oat milk, which was very good, you can taste all the flavors and had gotten a plain croissant which was delicious so flakey buttery and had so many layers was def good. There is one specialty coffee that did catch my eyes for next time the peach cobbler with the barista said was one of her favorites. Love the ambiance inside, because the interior design is beautiful and their music is splendid. I would say their drinks are good, but nothing special. Both times that I've tried their pastries, they have been overly dense and dry, so I probably won't order them again. It can be hard to find this place, since it is in an alley so you wouldn't happen to walk by. I think it is a good place to sit and chat with someone over a coffee, and maybe take a few aesthetic photos. read more

This place was excellent. I stopped in for the first time and tried one of their new drinks. It was a latte that had baklava honey and pistachio flavor and it was outstanding. Very original and delicious. The two women helping me were friendly and did a great job with this coffee. The atmosphere was also cool and quaint and stylish. This is a coffee place worth trying. Cute spot and baristas were super nice! I'm a coffee addict to say the least and have visited so many coffee shops over the last few years. I love when I find a place that offers a combo of 5 star service and drinks. I got the maple matcha with cinnamon and it was delicious. They also mentioned they were expanding their menu to offer more brunch items - they have an outdoor patio and a good amount of indoor seating as well. A great brunch spot! read more

This cafe was so nice! There was music playing (at a very comfortable volume - not too loud), plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, convenient tables to work with laptops, and even a pretty clean bathroom. My friend and I really enjoyed the decor and the atmosphere. The coffees we got (lavender and rose) were very good (though my rose coffee was a tad too sweet for my taste - I usually drink unsweetened coffee, so next time I will ask for lighter sweetening. Definitely try it though as it's very tasty and pretty!). The coffee was not burnt and had a pleasant aroma. The worker behind the counter was friendly and explained the drinks to us patiently. Very nice and friendly staff and really nice clean lines aesthetically. I ordered the agave iced cinnamon latte, and a cheese everything croissant. I was very concerned about the balance of agave versus cinnamon in my drink as I've had drinks with honey and cinnamon with a honey simply overpowers the drink however in this case it was very well balanced. The drink was good just not spectacular which was what I was expecting in my humble opinion it needed a little bit more sweetness a little more cinnamon and perhaps a splash of half and half to silken it up. The cheese everything croissant was definitely nothing to write home about and in my opinion a bit overpriced. Anyhow overall a good experience. read more

Stopped in with the wife on the way to UCLA v Colorado football game. In a bit of a hurry we ordered the short rib tacos so we can get in and get out. We were a little afraid they were going to be dry but they turned out amazing. Dax recommended a great old fashion service was great. Unfortunately, this was a case of IG hype falling short of expectations. The croissants were below mediocre, and tasted a day old. The coffees were also were not impressive. I really wanted to like this place because they have a unique selection of beverages and items, but the quality wasn't there. read more

This is my absolute favorite HIGH QUALITY coffee shop in Pasadena. They have fresh cold drip coffee which is powerful and tasty. My favorite thing to order is the ice mocha with coconut milk and whip cream or the hot mocha with hazelnut, to essentially make a Fererro Roche in coffee form the staff is always friendly and willing to help give suggestions but I haven't had a drink I haven't liked in over a year, going a minimum of 3 times per month. read more

This place was PERFECT. The ambiance, coffee, food, and service were all incredible. This little coffee shop is located in McCormick Alley. It's very aesthetic inside, I loved it! I got the Maple Latte. If you get it hot, you get a caramelized top which is done by a mini torch gun. It was pretty tasty. I also got the Crème & Coco croissant which is basically a crème brûlée croissant. I got it warmed up and it was delicious. I believe I got served by the owner and she was the SWEETEST person. A wonderful experience at this fun coffee shop in Old Town Pasadena. I highly recommend making a visit here. Some things we got that I never got a picture of that were incredibly delicious were an iced dirty, chai latte, and almond croissant, and the hazelnut almond croissant. Their croissants are next level. I also love all the seating that is available inside and outside. It's much bigger than it looks. read more

Best coffee in Old Pasadena and beyond! Savvvy is making truly unique artisan coffee drinks with fresh house-made syrups, beans from small batch roaster Unity sourcing and roasting. Super cute aesthetic and vibe. I got an iced hazelnut oat latte. It was good but a bit light on the actual coffee. Flavor was good but a little too sweet. It needed more or stronger coffee to be good. It's a cute place to sit and hang out. I would go back to try another drink. Maybe the barista was a little too heavy handed on the hazelnut with my drink. read more

I love the ambience and simplicity, yet bold, drink choices and interior decor! I came here with my sisters because we just happen to be in the area after a pilates session. Love it here & so far I've tried two of their specialty lattes and they are exceptionally delicious. I've had the Lady lavender & Savvy's special. You can taste the quality of both the espresso and their handcrafted syrups, perfect balance, not overly sweet. What's a plus is the friendly customer service that greet you with a smile. Really wanted to like this place but from the time we got there, it really, unfortunately, was not a good experience. It was very loud and busy; had gotten a table inside and could not even hear myself think so we opted to find a shared table outside. Got drink and pastries - I believe this was the matcha/maple/cinnamon? And this was the cheese spinach, I felt that I have gotten much better pastries at a grocery store. I have been here several times , and they make great artisan coffee. I always order the maple latte for its aroma and balance of flavors. In Addition, doing work here is great for it welcoming atmosphere and the many charge ports around every seating area. Service here is very uplifting and a great way to start your day . For food, we started with the bacon deviled eggs and shrimp taquitos. Those deviled eggs were lightly fried, which was different, then had apple wood smoked bacon on top, just a really tasty bite. The shrimp taquitos were also not what you would expect, nice and light but still very good. Entrees we went with the center cut fillet and the prime rib dip with swiss cheese on a brioche bun. That sandwich just melts if your mouth after dipping it in the jous, and the cheese was the perfect accompiament. The fillet was cooked perfect as well, coming out medium rare. Overall, great restaurant in Pasadena. Definitely get the Mai Tai, Devine eggs and prime rib dip. Taquitos were good and, if you're feeling like another hg er appetizer, definitely a way to go . Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

This was a poor execution of a risotto. The texture was off, and the flavor was overwhelmed by whatever cheese they used in this dish. The charred scallop was one single scallop cut in half and overly charred and rubbery in taste. The blue shrimp were shriveled too. We made sure to eat the proteins to prevent waste but you know it's bad when my boyfriend didn't even want to togo this dish. He normally eats anything to prevent waste. Branzino alla Griglia ($38) - Whole grilled branzino topped with eggplant, salsa verde and herb salad. This was the least bad item that we paid for... Although there was a lot of bones to be cautious of. I understand the risk of stumbling on a few bones when ordering a whole fish but this was more than I would have liked. I also didn't like some of the flavors coating the fish. Although from a grilled perspective it was crispy and perfectly cooked. This is a popular business with plenty of patrons to keep them busy. Whatever they like... it isn't what I look for in a business I frequent. I know they don't need my business and I will gladly stay away and save myself all of the trouble. This was way too stressful and there weren't any dishes I need to have again. My experience was so awful I'm being very generous with this 3 star, which is "average".

Tucked away in an alley off Colorado Blvd, Savvvy's Coffee Shop offers a serene respite from the bustling LA life. This new and modern coffee shop is adorned with splashes of greenery and boho decor, making it a fun place to hang out. There's no dedicated parking, so be prepared to snag a street parking spot and walk a bit. Plan a few extra minutes for your morning coffee run. Seating is limited but cozy. Savvvy's offers indoor tables and a patio area. I'd imagine that seating can be scarce during peak hours, so consider that if you're planning to linger. On my Friday morning visit, a single barista ran the entire show impressively, juggling orders, crafting drinks, and warming up pastries. The atmosphere here is far from the clamor you'd expect in commercial coffee houses; it's calm and unhurried. I tried the Savvvy's Special--a latte with agave and cinnamon--as well as the Lavender Latte. Both were exceptionally crafted, with balanced flavors and just the right hint of sweetness. I also took a Yelper's recommendation and tried the Strawberry Choco Scone. It was superb--perfectly textured and not overly sweet. I love Savvvys!! Their handcrafted lattes are to die for!! My favorite maple latte if I'm craving a sweet drink to kill my sugar craving. My usual is Lavender latte with oat milk. I love the homemade syrup with sprinkle of real lavender and a bit of glitter. I can also add the Rose latte. The fact the espresso is just right with no bitterness! Their Matcha if I'm craving iced!! You need to try their rose or strawberry, I just can't get enough. What an adorable place to hang out with friends or study. Cute place to take pics for the IG. I love the owner she give great customer service and provides the best looking latte for me every time. If you love coffee I strongly recommend Savvvys! You will get addicted!! read more
