I've come to Minneapolis a few times for work now and Red Rabbit has been a place that I have to stop by at least once. There's a cozy, friendly environment and they have excellent food and drinks. During my latest visit to Minneapolis (June 2026), I arrived late on a Sunday night and stopped by, and was pleasantly surprised by their Girl Menu - $20 for a small caesar salad, rosemary fries, vodka pasta and a hugo spritz. Honestly, a fantastic deal to me! I did supplement with some fried cheese curds, although those ended up tasting too heavy/oily for my personal taste. I've enjoyed their other appetizers and pizzas with coworkers, but what I've come to love (and hate because I may have had one too many) are their House Martini - I love the presentation and the way you can spritz a bit more of whatever is in that spray bottle (I was told, but I can't remember exactly what it was- possibly just the vermouth for whatever amount you want?). There's even an extra bit they keep in a small carafe to top yourself off when you're done with the drink in your coupe! Absolutely favorite martini in recent memory. I think I will be scheduled to visit again next year and will definitely stop by again!

Red Rabbit brunch is 10/10 every single time! The mimosa flight is cute and fun to split with a group, or all for yourself, whatever you choose ;) You have to order the breakfast pizza otherwise you're doing it wrong. I am not typically an omelette girly but I ordered the florentine omelette and omg it was soooo good, especially with the hashbrowns. My friends had the piadina which also looked incredible.

I'm picky, and so I can't give Red Rabbit five stars, but I liked it. My wife and I were scouting our new neighborhood before we move, and chose Red Rabbit for lunch. Interestingly, it's one block east of what has been our North Loop border, which has been 3rd Avenue. Why we placed an iron curtain on 3rd Avenue is beyond me. The bar was pleasant and fun on a weekday afternoon. My Espresso Martini was good, and the beer selection will make most people happy. I thought my Caesar salad was great; the taste came through without any need to deconstruct that many restaurants feel inclined to do. Our grinders were good, but there was too much stuff on them to call the sandwich a New England grinder; the name is more marketing than reality. Our server/bartender, Aiden, was engaging and fun. He's the kind of server every restaurant should have. We will return to Red Rabbit when we move to the North Loop in August. I can't wait.

Every now and then I take myself out for a little shopping, thrifting, eating, and drinking on a random weekday in the middle of the month. After a full day of thrifting, I decided it was time for dinner, and after passing this place for years, I finally decided to stop in. I was seated at a charming table for two. The interior had the vibe of a historic building, with brick, vaulted ceilings, and large windows. I ordered the Amatriciana from that day's specials menu along with the chocolate cherry martini. Typically I don't like sweet drinks, but this was fantastically balanced. As sweet as it was, it packed an equal punch. It felt decadent and sinfully delicious. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was well made, with bits of fatty, crispy pork adding a rich, well-developed flavor. I parked on one of the downtown streets and walked about a block to the restaurant.

Girl dinner

Red Rabbit just doesn't miss! Me and my girl friends went for their $20 "girl dinner" and were so glad we checked it out! The girl dinner - on Sundays-Thursdays only after 8pm - consisted of a mini Caesar salad, vodka pasta, rosemary fries, and a Hugo spritz. Delish! The portions were about what you'd expect for a deal like this so you know we had to top it off with some dessert. The sticky toffee cake and tiramisu were group favorites! As always, the food is fantastic and the service was good. Parking is about what you'd expect in downtown Minneapolis (paid street or paid lots) but they do have a small parking lot in the back and if you're lucky you may get a spot.

Love the vibes here. Super romantic and sultry with how dark it is. Perfect for date night. It is loud and you are sat real close to other tables but it was still a great time. My friends and I did the girl dinner here and it was so good! We all thought it was the perfect amount of food, we loved that it's a set menu so we didn't have to make any decisions! Pasta, salad, fries and a drink for $20?! In Minneapolis! Great deal! Love that they have sparkling water as an option for no extra charge. We celebrated a birthday here too that night and appreciated the candle from the server. I really hate going to Minneapolis and paying for parking but it was worth it for this night! We just found some street metered parking. Such a fun time! Check it out if you are in the area.

GIRL DINNER IS A 10/10!!!!! $20 for a drink, fries, a salad, and some pasta?? YES PLEASE! Honestly I'd come here every day if I could. I hope they never stop girl dinner. We ended up ordering a couple more drinks and a dessert becuase the vibes were perfect and the deal was so good. Only available after 8 pm!! Service is always great here and the vibes are always perfect. I'm a big Red Rabbit fan!!!

Quick date night at Red Rabbit in downtown Minneapolis! We were lucky enough to snag a canceled reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival, despite the restaurant being bustling and busy. I wish we could have enjoyed the outdoor patio as the dining room was a bit loud and dim, but that seems to be part of the restaurant's modern rustic Italian aesthetic. As for the food and service, everything was top-notch. Our order was taken promptly and both our drinks and dishes arrived quickly without feeling rushed. I ordered the spirit-free Lavender Revolution, which leaned a little sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. The burrata was outstanding--light, refreshing, and incredible on the toasted bread. The calamari was equally impressive -- perfectly seasoned, crispy, and tender with every bite. For our entrée, we shared the Vodka Rigatoni with added shrimp and it was absolutely delicious--rich, fresh, and comforting without feeling too heavy. Overall Red Rabbit delivered a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu!

My wife and I went to the Red Rabbit our first night in Minneapolis for dinner. We arrived around 8PM on a Saturday night. We were promptly seated. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. My wife had a salad with chicken and I had the vodka rigatoni with chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. The lack of stars on my end is portion size. The vibe and service were both very good. No bread with my meal and looking at my picture, do you feel that's worth $23.00? I enjoyed my meal but I'd take a gander elsewhere. Definitely a trendy restaurant.

Came here for a work lunch and got to try the shrimp pasta, burrata and beets & burrata. Honestly everything is great quality and the pasta was perfect texture and flavor. Typically I'm not the biggest fan of beets but even the beets & burrata were fresh! Service was a bit slow overall but very nice servers and the back patio vibe is always great especially on a nice summer day in Minnesota!

Florentine omelette
Mary Helen S.

Searched for a unique non-buffet spot for Sunday brunch and Red Rabbit checked all the boxes. We had a leisurely brunch trying many spritzes and recommended (and even one totally free!) brunch cocktails. The food was great, we had amazingly fresh shrimp and grits (and having just come from SC, we've tried a lot) and an Italian inspired florentine omelette with fresh herbs and cheese. We even got a kids pizza to give it a try and would for sure get a full sized in the future. Great service all around from the bartenders, the hosts, seemingly managers, and our server herself. It was a bit toasty so we sat inside by the bar but the covered patio looked really loved on a cooler day.

Sunrise Spritz

Outside, mothers day, great wait staff, great food and surrounded by flowing plants. Could it get any better? Yes, because the food is amazing with great variety and flavors. The selection of drinks and wine is very good, and not obnoxiously priced. The beer selection, honestly, kind of stinks. Hopefully they'll look local and update the selections of beers. Hit them with one less star over the beer - might be harsh but some of us enjoy beer. Highly recommend, seating outside was fantastic. Enjoy it's worth it.

Sticky Toffee Cake to go!
Rikkita K.

This restaurant lives up to the hype! I came as a solo diner on a Saturday night, and sat at a table by the bar area. The waitress was very helpful with picking dishes and a drink, and the dessert she recommended was phenomenal. I had the pepperoncini martini (extra brine) sausage pasta, Italian salad, and sticky toffee cake. Everything was amazing, and I can't wait to take everyone I know back to sample that dessert! Very excited to come back with family to try more dishes - seems like it would be more family friendly on a weekday or earlier in the evening!

Ask the Community - Red Rabbit Minneapolis

Is the a Byob option? How much is the corkage fee?

Hello. You can bring your own wine and we don’t have a corkage fee.

Do they take reservations?

No they do not, You;ll be told: no worries as they've seen as many as 25 people around the big size table.

How is the parking?

I don't believe there is a specific lot for Red Rabbit which can make it difficult to find parking depending on the day. There is a ton of street parking and lots that you will need to pay for that are close to the restaurant!

What is the dress code? Is dressing formal going to be out of place?

You can wear basically anything here and fit in. It's a very laid back environment.

Is the patio dog friendly?

Absolutely!

Is there outdoor seating?

There is a small patio - I would estimate about 10 actual tables + 2 large sectional couches that are usually open seating. Most tables also have umbrellas so you can typically find shade if you want.

Is red rabbit a chain?

Thanks for the question! We are not a chain. We have the same owner as Red Cow (3 locations) but we have just the one Red Rabbit location!

I wanted to eat every item on the menu and had to limit myself so now I have to return at least 3 to 4 more times to order everything I would love to try. I also had the crab ravioli, and that was out of this world and then the rabbit pasta dish was also quite tasty if you like that kind of game (not pictured). My mocktail was refreshing & the decaf coffee with dessert was the best decaf I remember having. The restaurant was packed even at early dinner and by the time we left, there was a line out the door. I don't see that very often anymore and I can see why they are going so strong right now. Great atmosphere, upbeat music pulsing in the background. Service started out well but felt increasingly scripted and impersonal as the evening went on. Our server seemed knowledgeable about menu availability but offered little in the way of specials, recommendations, or genuine guidance, and rarely checked on us once the food arrived. The timing was surprisingly disjointed. Our bruschetta arrived before either of our drinks, my wine came well before his cocktail, and the sides arrived well after the main dishes. Menus were left on the table, too. The food runners were good and silverware changes were handled properly, but the overall service lacked the coordination and attentiveness you'd expect. The food had some highlights: the bruschetta was delicious, the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange was excellent and fresh, and the sweet potatoes were very good. Unfortunately, the cavatelli with rabbit sugo fell flat and lacked flavor. Even the atmosphere felt a little contrived. The prominent black-and-white photo of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings seemed disconnected from the otherwise bare walls, rather than part of a thoughtfully curated space. Combined with the scripted service and lack of genuine engagement, the overall impression was almost "this is what we think a great restaurant should look and feel like," rather than an experience that felt natural, welcoming, or particularly memorable. We'd enjoyed a few cocktails before arriving, thinking dinner would be the highlight of the night, but it never quite delivered. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation and the wait times to match, I expected more polished timing, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine hospitality. At around $160, the experience felt overpriced for what we received. In retrospect, neighboring spots like Parlor and Butcher & the Boar lived up to the hype more.

The standout to me was the complimentary freshly baked warm bread they serve after you order your drinks. It would have benefitted from salted butter though. Moving onto our dinner portion, the burrata was yummy but it needed more balsamic and one more slice of grilled ciabatta. The Brussels could have been Caramelized a little longer as they were a little hard when biting into. They were also just sitting in a puddle of honey, so that was the main flavor I was tasting. The pasta dish was so tiny and only has 4 small pieces of chicken. It didn't really have a taste, other than cream. For dessert, we ordered the caramel sea salt custard, seasonal cobbler (peach), and the budino. The standout for me was the caramel sea salt custard, the salted caramel popcorn was a fun crunch amongst the creamy thick custard. My cappuccino was very small, but it was a nice touch to serve it with a little biscotti piece (I would have appreciated a longer piece though). If I'm in the area for a show at the Target Center again or any theaters, I would give them another shot. I would not drive from the suburbs for this though.

I love the pink and green, and the place settings are gorgeous. Bonus: the team is super fast with clearing and bringing replacements so you always have a clean plate. Add in huge windows that brings in tons of light, and you have one of the most photogenic eateries in town. Dario's beverage menu is wonderful, and I especially want to draw attention to their extensive selection of non-alcoholic options. In addition to house-made sodas and creative cocktails, they have a wonderful list of dealcoholized wines--awesome news for anyone who is looking for a zero proof drink. As for the food, Dario knocks it out of the park with a menu that offers options for all tastes. The menu is designed to share, and the variety ensures that there will be something for everyone. The first two dishes that ai sampled were the Gem Lettuces, which our server described as "a Caesar salad on steroids" and the Morel Mushrooms. The Gem Lettuces were delicious--the zippy vinaigrette was better than any Caesar I have had before, the cheese was a fluffy, savory, and salty delight, and the puffed farro was a pleasing alternative to the usual croutons. Bonus: it's fish-free! I'd say that it's less a Caesar salad on steroids and more what happens when the Caesar salad next door goes off to college and has a glow-up. The morels were served on polenta and complemented with Madeira and tarragon. They came with a confit egg yolk. The presentation was strikingly beautiful, and the flavors pure and harmonious. The morels were cooked perfectly and went beautifully with the wine and tarragon--it was a great dish for spring, and everyone enjoyed the layers of texture and flavor. For our pasta choices, we had the English Pea Triangoli that Lu recommended (thanks Lu!) and the doppio. It's easy to see why Dario is known for its pasta--these dishes were amazing. The English Pea Triangoli was otherworldly: sweet peas, snap peas, onions, mint, and pea sprouts come together with butter to make a nostalgic little bite of heaven. It tastes like spring. Sicilian pistachios add crunch and another layer of sweet and salt, and the lightly steamed vegetables and fresh pea shoots and mint also added layers of texture and freshness. Positively superlative. The Doppio was also gorgeous: one side is filled with ricotta and the other sunchoke. Honey adds sweetness and the hazelnuts toastiness reminiscent of browned butter. The rosemary complemented it all. For my dessert, I had the Earl Gray tea cake. It had a very pleasing crumb and subtle sweetness, and the lemon whipped cream was the perfect accompaniment. The sprinkle of toffee cookie added a lovely caramelized crunch, and the bright acidity of the rhubarb was preserved, making for a juicy and refreshing burst of flavor in every bite. Splendid! Thanks to Dario for a wonderful evening!

We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.
