The Relleno Pablano and enchiladas are damn good it's hard to find legit Mexican food in the area, Rays passed our test

I was not too happy with this restaurant. My friend ordered 2 top shelf margaritas and when we got the bill, the waitress charged and additional 17 to the price of the drinks. She said he should have ordered the top shelf margarita instead of 2 shots of grand. She said that would have been cheaper.She brought the manager over who had a rude attitude and blamed the mistake on us. The customer service is terrible. Food is mediocre. read more

Ok so we drive by this place often and decide we would try it out since it's always busy. I don't know why now. Let me start by saying the service is excellent, they tend to you quickly and are very friendly. We sat down and they took our drink order and we ordered the queso and jalapeños. The queso was horrible, it was slightly warm and it tasted like something out of a can. The chips and salsa were good. So we ordered the beef and chicken fajitas, cheese enchiladas, quesadillas and beef fajita nachos. The beef and chicken fajitas were ok. Not the best beef I've had and those flour tortillas were not homemade and believe me I know homemade as I grew up eating them fresh off the heat. They got hard fast and have a weird taste to them. Not a fan! The cheese enchiladas tasted funky, the corn tortillas were undone and tasted nasty. The quesadillas were not bad and the nachos were ok too. I think the best food I had were the charro beans, everything was ok. I definitely won't be going back just because there are so many great Mexican restaurants that are a lot better. But again great service and the food was out in no time. read more

Service was good, food was terrible. We got the carnitas tacos and the quesadilla and neither one was good. The carnitas looked gray and tasted like old oil. They came without onions, cilantro or avocado. We had to request it. We also ordered rice and beans on the side and the rice was super sticky and oily. Not going back here again. read more

So we decided to eat at Ray's,...Well sadly this place service is not what it use to be. Service was slow,...and not so very friendly. Food was just okay...really had no flavor. Mango margaritas had no mango. So it'll be a while if and when we go back again. Sorry Ray's don't know what happened to your great service, food and drinks. read more

If strong margaritas are what you're looking for than this is your place. The restaurant is extremely popular, there's almost always a line out of the door. I dont know what's wrong with us but we just didn't care for their food. The queso was okay, nothing special. The tacos were okay. My husband got one of the enchilada plates, it was better than okay but still nothing special. The best thing going for this place is their margaritas. Rays is our Mexican food place! Margs are awesome and STRONG! Reasonable priced food. Ask for their green sauce. It is awesome, but spicy.

Tuesday's are out to dinner night for me and my girlfriend, tonight we decided to visit Ray's. Let me start by saying as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and promptly seated, the hostess immediately took our drink order and was off. I had a margarita on the rocks and my girlfriend chose a sangria margarita neither of which were worth a second try..... not bad just not what we were used to from our regular place. We ordered Ray's dip for an appetizer, queso with seasoned ground beef, it was pretty good, , the salsas were on point too, I wasn't a fan of the corn chips though. Like I mentioned before noting was bad, we're just used to a different place. For our entrees I chose the burrito special with ground beef, it tasted good. My girlfriend had the ground beef Enchiladas they were flavorful.... over all I gave Ray's 3 stars because I was a little disappointed with the margaritas. The food was amazing! I had the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. The chicken was perfect and juicy. Our service on the other hand was pretty horrible. After our meal we sat to catch up and talk and the server actually came up to us and told us to leave because we had already paid and there were other people waiting for a table. Food is made with love ! I cane here with my boyfriend for lunch. We both received the fajita plate. I can really tell they marinate their chicken. It was soooo flavorful and delicious! I'm not really a refined bean girl but this place really opened my eyes. Everything I had today was so delicious. The red sauce is super spicy, warm and will have your mouth on fire. What sucks is that this is my fourth time here and every time I come back I get a little bit more disappointed. I dined here today (6/3/16) during prime time dinner time. The wait was about 30 minutes, not bad considering this was our third stop because every other restaurant was on an hour wait. The complimentary chips were warm and crunchy and you never run out because they have one person who is strictly on chip duty! However the salsa is pretty much red water. No flavor, very runny, and bland! I came here with two other people and a toddler and we shared one sizzling fajita platter meant for two. Well, not only did we leave stuffed but there was plenty of food left over! We ordered the combination chicken and beef fajita and I would have to give it 3/5. It was lacking a tad more flavor, like maybe some garlic butter to compliment the meat or something to add spice to the dish. Do not order their stuffed jalapeños. I was so disappointed with it!! The bacon seemed raw in some areas, the cheese that was used to stuff the jalapeños was hard. I think today will be my last time dining here. read more
