This is one of those places we don't get to as often as we'd like--mainly because it's a bit of a drive out in Katy--but every time we go, it reminds us why we keep coming back. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which honestly makes a big difference. You never feel rushed, and the service always feels genuine. The food is solid across the board--everything we've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. It's the kind of place where you know you're going to leave happy and full without any surprises (in a good way). If this place were closer, we'd probably be regulars. Some what new restaurant off of 99 and Mortan Ranch that has a Tex-Mex feel with a splash of authentic. They just started a new drink menu and those were all solid, we tried the blue lagoon, whiskey margarita and michelada. The whiskey margarita is good, like an old fashioned with a twist. I had El Celayna its a soft fajita taco with beef/chicken enchilada with rice and beans. The enchilada was really good I had chicken, the top was charred which I liked. The beef fajita taco was solid, nothing crazy. The other dishes were solid besides one didn't enjoy the tacos Al carbon. The waitress was nice and the cook came out as well who was friendly as well, Edgar I think. Oh and we had the queso blanco, which was normal/good was pretty much just white cheese with jalapeños on the side. I'm more of a chile con queso fan. Overall I give it a 6.4/10. I'll be back, it's close to a friends and I wanna try fried ice cream. read more

When I'm in the mood for mole, this is the place to go. Very tasty with a spicy cucumber margarita! The bar is the way to for this meal.

Service is prompt and reliable. Chips are fresh and salsa is good n mild. This is my 3rd attempt to like the food here. My heart is a true Mexican Restaurant supporter but I have to be real. The enchiladas taste freezer burned. (oh no!!) The chalupa chip is stale or of low quality. The gravy scores a 50% on my enchiladas frenzy scale (I am a true enchiladas fan), but these did not make the cut. Ive have the beef enchiladas too with no better luck. Will not recommend or return. Sad since they had so much potential to be better. Can't say I did not try. Ambiance is great, happy people and nice bar. read more

My sister and I love this place. We went two Sundays in a row! Safe location. Easy parking. Clean tables and floors. Bathrooms were clean as well. Excellent service. Very polite and professional. We ordered the white queso. Yummy! We also ordered the ground beef enchiladas as well as the combo enchiladas. She got the charro beans. I got the refried beans. Zero complaints! After having tried numerous breakfast tacos at different places, I can attest these stand out! I placed a to-go order for potato, egg, and cheese tacos on corn tortillas. They did not disappoint-wow! Tried this spot out for a Father's Day lunch with just my wife. The restaurant is very cleaning looking and comfortable. The service was friendly and quick. 5 stars for.....I only stopped in to check out a new spot and see if the chips salsa were good & if they had a decent happy hour....not only are they good, but also - they got all day happy hour Monday & Tuesday!! Wowza - this will be a nice spot to stop after work to get my mind right or to take the fam to fill up near the house & get back to being lazy at home. Have visited this restatement twice and have loved it both times. Margaritas are amazing.

Everything about this place was great! We went on a Friday night and the crowd was nice. We ordered the top shelf frozen margaritas, which were incredible and very strong. For dinner we ordered the carne guisada and enchiladas verdes. Soo delicious! This was some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Very nice place for families, couples or friend groups. There is a bar at the back of the restaurant so you can sit in the high top chairs and watch the games. Restaurant and bathrooms were all super clean. And the wait staff were all very nice and friendly. We will absolutely be back! read more

Went to this restaurant tonight with a party of 10 to celebrate one of my sister in law's birthday. We were enjoying the atmosphere until the manager Edgar approached our table and told us that he needed us to quiet down because there were other guest in the building. We have never been to any place and been so disrespected by being told to be quiet because of 2 other guest. One thing for sure and two things for certain, we will never frequent this restaurant again. My husband, daughter, and I all frequent this restaurant often prior to this night. I've been watching and waiting for Los Perez Mexican to open for months. Yesterday, my daughters and I went there for lunch. It is a nice and clean new restaurant. The lunch specials are a great deal; two pages of lunches in the $8.99-$14.99 range. The chips and salsa were tasty. We shared beef fajitas and they were good with nice tortillas. This is a good, solid Mexican restaurant with reasonable prices and nice servers. We will be back for sure. read more

I love this place!! It's new and not very big but man o man this place is something special. Tacos were stuffed full of meat! Enchiladas so cheesy and the food was so cheap. Family of 4 we are for 50 bucks!!!! Usually we drop 100. I had to leave a 20 tip it was soooo good. When I walk into a restaurant everyone knows somebody going to get a 25-50% depending on how long hey handle my picky wife and yes guys in gym clothes can be wealthy so don't stigmatize us!!! read more

The place was packed. The lady at the door offered a high table or to wait. We took the high table. I am short but the rungs were close so it was fine. The margarita on the rocks was excellent as was the chili con queso with fajita beef. My son ordered tacos Al carbon. Excellent. I ordered shrimp enchiladas. They were excellent. The servers were running around and doing the best they could. My only complaint was no one brought us silverware and when I asked the waiter said I doubt we have any. I stopped a manager and got plastic. I also watched a couple eat fajitas off their napkins because of not having a plate. Again the servers were running around and the food was coming out hot so eating with plastic is not a big deal. I definitely will be back. read more

Ordered a deluxe patter that had tamale, taco, enchilada and cheese puff etc. Plus rice and beans. The sauce on the tamale and enchilada tasted right out of a can. I usually love Mexican food and not super picky but I couldn't finish my plate. Also another member on my table ordered a lemonade and ended up not liking it, he ordered something else and I asked the waiter not to toss it that I would drink and I got charged for it. I guess I should get charged for it , I decided to consume it rather than it going down the drain but dang. Also, be prepared to pay 20% tip since they add it to your bill automatically. The best thing about this restaurant is the staff. They are friendly, quick, and always with the best attitude. The food is not bad at all, we enjoy having breakfast there (good scrambled eggs and so forth). The only suggestion -and the reason why I do not give them the five stars- is that, as many other TexMex restaurants, they make the mistake of playing this LOUD music at the restaurant, that it is not easy to digest if you did not grow up with a Mexican family. Guys, play some generic music: country, pop and most importantly, play it in a low volume. This is not a nightclub, or a bar, and playing mexican ranchero - banda music out loud is not that enjoyable. Other than that, this is a great place to eat. read more
