I ordered 2 breakfast tacos and a jamaica: my total was about $11. The tacos were pretty big and filling. It was ready within about 5-7 minutes. They have a self serve salsa bar with pickled vegetables and peppers. Everything was super delicious! I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu! read more

Unintruded authenticity. Quiet, casual atmosphere. The Barbacoa tacos were your average pretty good barbacoa. Nothing super standout but definitely of quality. The salsa roja was not overbearing in spice and added a subtle savoriness. 8/10 The torta de pastor was stacked with substance yet not exaggeratedly big for the bite. The queso Oaxaca (or wtv the cheese is) was buttery and stringy. 8.5/10. The limonada was not too forward in sugar and you can really appreciate the limón here. Not too bitter though. read more

What do you call Gagarin's butt? Yuri rear. Some have said this is the best Mexican food in Texas - or at least in Katy - and I would say that I definitely think you won't find better tacos than this in Katy. Amazing salsa bar and excellent high standards, and one of the better Mexican experiences I've had in the Houston area. Houston's Mexican food for me is as good as it's Viet food - second to none, anywhere. Better than Los Angeles? At least on a level with it. I got there & I ordered a torta & it took a 30 minute wait while I watched everyone who ordered after me get there food. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I didn't say anything because i understand that it takes time but I eventually said something. Their excuse was that the cashier couldn't take orders right as if my order was never placed. When I got the food finally after waiting for 30 minutes for just 1 torta, the torta wasn't EVEN that great. Definitely not worth the price that was placed on the torta. This place made it through COVID so it must be good, at least that's my metrics for restaurants these days. They have a salsa bar and the food is AMAZING, I cannot believe it took me so long to try them out since I pass by them a lot. The service is super fast and the place is so clean despite having people coming in and out. My new favorite Taqueria! Quality food. Fresh ingredients. Tons of great options. Fair prices. Generous portions. Perfect spot for a working man to get a solid lunch, or a family to sit down and have a quality meal together. This is the kind of place that comes to mind when I think of good taquerias. Upon arrival, I noticed it's the same plaza as with Dollar Tree and it's ma & pops restaurant. Ambience is laid back. There's a tape along the front counter so I'm glad they're practicing social distancing with their customers. Face mask is required, as any business should be during COVID-19 pandemic. This is what I ordered: Pastor (pork) taco Deshebrada (pulled beef) taco Fajita (beef steak) taco Lengua (beef tongue) taco Pollo (pulled chicken) taco Personal favorites are pastor and fajita taco because they're not as greasy as the others. Tasteful, tender, and delicious. Not saying the rest are not good, just my personal preference. If you love roast beef subs then deshebrada taco will be your favorite. The texture of lengua is not bad; just a tad oily for my liking but I would order again. My least favorite is pollo (pulled chicken) taco. Comes with tomatoes. I couldn't finish it. I took 2 bites and threw it out. So I know I will never order that. The chicken taste cold and old. They have homemade sauces which consist of mild, medium, and spicy. Spicy has no hint of spice, to me. If you're someone who can't even take black peppers then mild is for you but you may get away with medium level sauce. What I appreciate is that every tacos are individually wrapped and labeled for to-go. You can easily order for multiple of people and everyone grab their own so you don't have to open so many containers just to give the right food to different people. read more

First of all, walking into this place the vibe is immediately set with fun reggaeton and other Spanish music. The first thing I saw was an EXTREMELY, IMMACULATELY CLEAN kitchen!!! The eggs were like cardboard and I didn't think that was possible. They used to be so good and delicious but now they've gotten busier and the quality has gone to trash. I've never checked my order because it was always right and delicious. When I called, they offered to make me new ones but it wasn't worth it at that point. There manipulative. I ordered two burritos of Barbacoa and Chicharron and Lemon drink. As I got my order I notice that they didn't give me my drink and they lady upfront knew I ordered one and was just looking at me not telling me that I ordered a drink. At the ticket they added another drink (Horchata) So I recommend always look at ur ticket before you leave because at this point their just stealing ur money without you noticing. read more

I have to give them an extra star for seemingly transporting you to Mexico when you dine here. I have never been to Mexico, but this food does seems truly authentic. This is definitely not Taco Bell in taste, presentation or preparation. At my fellow elite yelper's request, Marvin O., I ordered a Huarache. Had no idea what that was but I saw it came with beans, cilantro, onion, salsa verde, cheese or queso fresco. Sounded like something I would eat, so why not? I ordered the 3 meat mixture, Campechano, which was beef, chicken and pork. Once again, when this item came out, it was nothing like anything I ever seen in Taco Bell! Taste wise...interesting and nice blend of ingredients. Due to this authentic taste and presentation, they earned that fourth star. All in all, I want to try their version of a burrito and quesadilla. The pricing is not as low as Taco Bell but I will let them slide because at least my item was almost the entire length of the full size plate. I think these people will see me again. read more

I came here based off yelp reviews since I was in the area over the weekend. The restaurant looks like a pretty standard taqueria once you walk in. After quickly looking over the menu on the wall above the registers, I settled on the huarache campechano since it looked and sounded tasty. Boy was I right. It was cheesy, greasy, filling, meaty goodness. What more could you ask for. I added avocado to mine for an extra 75c. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area to try one of the other meats. My friend just had the fajita and barbacoa tacos and noted that the meat seemed a little overcooked. I believe they pre-cook the meat, then when a taco is ordered, they re-heat the meat (make it crispy) on the flat-top along with heating the tortilla. They have a salsa bar right past the counter on the way to the restrooms with about 6 different items. I tried all of the salsas, jalapenos and pickled red onions with habanero peppers which was supposed to be the spiciest of the 6. It was ok, but I really preferred the green salsa.
