Flautas!!

Freaking love this little gem. Staff are nice with friendly service. The place is not much to look at, but the Taqueria has their own homemade salsa bar. Let's go!

Yuri in for a treat

What do you call Gagarin's butt? Yuri rear. Some have said this is the best Mexican food in Texas - or at least in Katy - and I would say that I definitely think you won't find better tacos than this in Katy. Amazing salsa bar and excellent high standards, and one of the better Mexican experiences I've had in the Houston area. Houston's Mexican food for me is as good as it's Viet food - second to none, anywhere. Better than Los Angeles? At least on a level with it. There are so many delicious Mexican places in Greater Houston and you can add this little gem to that list.

Pollo taco (pulled chicken)

Upon arrival, I noticed it's the same plaza as with Dollar Tree and it's ma & pops restaurant. Ambience is laid back. There's a tape along the front counter so I'm glad they're practicing social distancing with their customers. Face mask is required, as any business should be during COVID-19 pandemic. Friendly ladies who work here. Prices are reasonable for the area and a quick place to grab lunch (or dinner). This is what I ordered: Pastor (pork) taco Deshebrada (pulled beef) taco Fajita (beef steak) taco Lengua (beef tongue) taco Pollo (pulled chicken) taco Personal favorites are pastor and fajita taco because they're not as greasy as the others. Tasteful, tender, and delicious. Not saying the rest are not good, just my personal preference. If you love roast beef subs then deshebrada taco will be your favorite. The texture of lengua is not bad; just a tad oily for my liking but I would order again. My least favorite is pollo (pulled chicken) taco. Comes with tomatoes. I couldn't finish it. I took 2 bites and threw it out. So I know I will never order that. The chicken taste cold and old. They have homemade sauces which consist of mild, medium, and spicy. Spicy has no hint of spice, to me. If you're someone who can't even take black peppers then mild is for you but you may get away with medium level sauce. What I appreciate is that every tacos are individually wrapped and labeled for to-go. You can easily order for multiple of people and everyone grab their own so you don't have to open so many containers just to give the right food to different people.

Great food! Highly recommend the beef fajita tortas, they're big and aren't skimpy on the toppings !

This is my go to when I have a taste for Mexican food. I love their fajita bowl and their food is made when you order it. I love this place.

Anything steak fajita i highly recommend! Enchiladas Verdes with steak fajita is a must try. Their salsa bar tops everything off.

The Barbacoa tacos are phenomenal! Always quick service and a friendly staff. The spicy green hot sauce could be sold by itself.

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. Since it was our first time visiting, they even surprised us with complimentary corn on the cob, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding and came out surprisingly quickly. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband was also impressed by the attention to detail throughout the restaurant--even the restroom was stocked with everything you could think of, from toothpicks to mouthwash, which was especially appreciated after enjoying all the delicious corn and black beans! It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. We left already talking about our next visit, and we can't wait to come back and try their margaritas. Highly recommend!

We had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Ambriza La Centerra. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

Enjoyed the margaritas and excellent customer service from Katie. She expertly managed multiple tables, including an 8 top with ease and a smile. The restaurant was pretty busy since it was graduation week. I ordered the ground beef soft tacos with a side of black beans. My friends had the Marisco Bowl and a platter. Management was helping out and delivered our food. All the food items were hot and plentiful. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Multiple members of management stopped by to check and see how we were doing and to chat briefly to make sure we were having a good experience.

Our fajita meat today was old, and smelled off. We requested medium but it came beyond gray, and zero char- it was sweaty. This showed up within four minutes. The rice was dried out. The beans were, too. As I said- two thirds of the time is great. Sometimes bad visits happen. Then comes the annoying dance: I do *not* want a manager. I sure didn't need an argument (!) from the server about cooking theory. Not looking for free food. We were very hungry and now have to go find another restaurant. We paid and we left. All done. No desire to keep playing roulette with which experience we can expect, and the server pushback was the kicker. You'll be fine without us.
